Introduction
************************************************************************
Hello. This is my first attempt at writing a walkthrough for a game, so
if it is less than stellar, forgive me. Xenogears can get difficult for
anyone from time to time, so that's why I decided to write this. I
tried my best to keep this walkthru spoiler free, so don't worry first-
timers. If you notice anything that I have left out, gotten wrong, or
just have any comments, positive or negative, feel free to email me at
ziggyshack@hotmail.com, and I'll give you credit for whatever it is.
It might take me awhile to respond, but I will get back to you as soon
as I can.

General Info
************************************************************************
This section explains a bit of info about the main characters and their
deathblows, spells, and gears.
Note on Deathblows: To learn deathblows, use different sequences of
buttons similar to the deathblow in battle. Doing this will increase
the percent of the deathblow that has been learned, until it becomes
100. However, using deathblows in battle will not count towards this
total. To use the deathblow, you must have the minimum required AP and
the required level. If you learn the deathblow before having either of
the prerequisites, the deathblow will stay at 100 percent learned until
the requirements are met. Some of the 7 AP deathblows are an exception,
but they are handled in the game.
Note on Gear Deathblows: How many Gear Deathblows you have depends on
how many Deathblows the Gear's owner has. The exceptions are Siebzehn
and Chu-Chu, since neither Maria nor Chu-Chu have Deathblows.
Fei Fong Wong
------------------------
Fei will be in your party for a majority of the game. He isn't the
best character, but he is well-rounded enough to make up for it.

Gear: Weltall, Weltall 2, Xenogears
Weltall is much like his owner, well-rounded. Keep it upgraded, and it
won't let you down. Weltall 2 is much better, due to it's powerful
gear options. Xenogears is the strongest of the three, but it loses
Weltall 2's gear options.
Gear Deathblows
*These attacks require that the gear have the Deathblower item of the
same level equipped.

Disc One Walkthrough
************************************************************************
I've tried my best to keep from putting any spoilers to the story in
this walkthrough, so I don't describe any of the scenes in detail. When
I give directions, I prefer to use the compass. Since you can rotate
the screen, left and right are no longer useful because most of the time
each perspective can be different.
At the top of each section, I've made a list of the monsters that can be
encountered in each dungeon and the surrounding land types, and the
treasures found in each area.
The monster stats are for one individual monster, and I have them set up
like this:
Monster Name Exp Gold Treasure Special Info
I have the treasures in each area sorted like this:
items/gold character items gear items
Lahan Village
------------------------
Hob-gob 2 0 Hob-Jerky
Lil' Kobold 3 0 Fencing Cap
Hopper 8 0 Fencing Gear
200 gold Power Ring
Aquasol x 5
Spider Web
80 gold
Eyeball
Aquasol S
RPS Badge
120 gold
Mermaid Tear
After the intro, info, and a short scene, you come upon Fei painting in
his room. You can check each of the paintings to get a close up of
them. Check Fei's bed to find his stash of 200 gold. Leave Fei's room
and head to the western room. Check both barrels for an Aquasol each.
There is also a spider web in the corner near the door. Jump up to get
it, it will come in handy later in the game. You can talk to the maid
in the northern room to see a scene of how Fei came to Lahan. Head
upstairs. Talk to the young man, Timothy, for some info on what's
going on in Lahan. When you try to leave, a boy named Dan comes in to
talk to you, and then leaves. Follow him out, and head to the field
behind the house. Talk to the old man there four times for two more
Aquasols. Then go to the house south of the one you came out of. Here
you can learn about different aspects of the game, such as the battle
system. Talk to the bald man, and listen to his speech about
Deathblows to get 80 gold. You can also talk to Lucca from Chrono
Trigger, but if you listen to her info on the Memory Cube, she will
take some money. Leave here and go east to the next house. In this
house, you can get the RPS Badge by beating the man in the corner 5
times in a row, but this is harder than it sounds. When you play him,
if you win, you get 50 gold, but if you lose, he takes 50 gold. There
doesn't seem to be any real pattern to his choices, so you will have to
rely on luck. Also, if you leave the screen, the count resets, so you
have to do it all at once. You can go downstairs and speak to an old
woman who will ask you what you think of Lahan. If you reply that you
like it, she will give you 120 gold. Leave the house and go to the
well. Jump in, and you will get an item. Keep jumping in until you
get an Eyeball, Aquasol S, and Power Ring. Then talk to the woman
next to the bearcow north of the well. Tell her what she says doesn't
sound strange to get the fifth Aquasol. Head east to the house with
the woman in front. Talk to her to gain entry. Go in and head
upstairs to talk with Alice. After talking with her, leave the house.
The house north of Alice's is a bar. Enter and talk to the man in the
blue coat. Tell him that drinking won't solve his problems, and he
will give you the Mermaid's Tear. The house west of the bar is the
town general store. That's all there is to find in Lahan. You might
want to go to the World Map and level up to at least level 4 before
heading up the mountain trail. You can also try to get some Fencing
equipment to help lessen the damage. When your HP gets low, you can
rest in Fei's bed to heal. Also, if trying to get the RPS Badge made
you lose your money, you can sell some of the Fencing equipment to
get some more. After you're done, head up the north path out of town
to go to the Mountain Path.
