1)Introduction
Take the Characters from Capcom's Hit Super Puzzle Fighter II,
put them in a fighting game with some other classic Capcom
Characters, add tons of insanity and cuteness, and you will
have a good way to describe Pocket Fighter! This may look
like a childish game on the outside, but it is indeed
a deep and intense fighting game! This is my first FAQ, so
please go easy on me! Please Enjoy!

2)Updates
6-20-98: Created this FAQ, started on movelist for Ryu,
Ken, Chun Li, and Sakura.
6-21-98: Added movelist for Morrigan, Hsien-Ko, Felicia,
and Tessa. Added info on Grab Guard Crushes for
everyone plus some other special throw moves.
Rearranged the order of some of the moves.
6-22-98: Added Throw List/Grab Lists, added some moves
here and there. Added movelist for Zangief,
Ibuki, Akuma, and Dan.
6-23-98: First Working Order FAQ! Added Introduction,
Basic Ops, Game Rules, and Other Stuff, Key
Commands and Abbreviations sections. Did some
other cleaning up etc. Submitted FAQ to
various Net Sites.
6-28-98 Thanks to a very helpful email from Andy Sam,
I was notified of a few moves that I didn't
have mentioned in the FAQ, so I'm adding them!
Also adding the "Secondary" way of doing the
Super Combos (some which produce different
results when done that way!) And thanks to
everyone who has emailed me with your comments!
6-29-98 Added a few more moves, found out a couple of
the secondary moves I didn't have listed. Will
be adding a few more codes later on as well!
Next update will be done a little bit later
due to my trip to Richmond, VA to visit my
girlfriend Kris! Should have an update after
I get back home and rest up!
7-12-98 Well, this took a little longer due to a wedding
I had to film this weekend and other stuff, sorry
about that! Adding the Codes,Tricks, and Secrets
section along with several codes for the game!
And I again want to thank everyone who has been
sending email with great compliments, ideas,
and suggestions! People like you are what
encourage me to work more on this FAQ! Thanks
Again!

3)Basic Operations, Game Rules, and Other Stuff
The Object of this game is like any other Capcom fighting
game: Fight your opponent and drain his/her life bar until
it is depleted. You can also win by Time Out if your character
has more life bar than the other person when the time runs out.
There are many new features in this game that are totally
original to this game, such as the Guard Crushes. Here are
the new aspects and an explanation:
Gems: One of the most important parts of this game is the
addition of Power Gems. Gems can be obtained from hitting
your opponent, from hitting treasure boxes that are sometimes
on the ground, or from hitting the tiny creatures riding
clouds that on occasion fly across the top of the screen.
Each Gem color represents a different special attack your
character can do. For instance, Ryu's Hadoken has the Red Gem
behind it. The more Gems you collect, the stronger it will become!
Certian attacks will release more Gems, and some Super Combo's can
release dozens of Gems at once!
Throws/Holds: Not exactly original to this game, but
executing them is new. In order to do a throw or hold,
your character needs to be next to the opponent and simply
press Punch+Kick. All characters also have an Air Throw
which done by jumping and then pressing Punch+Kick also.
And all the characters have a special throw which is either
a modified version of their normal throw, or a totally different
one. It varies from character.
Guard Crushes: These are one of most important new aspects in
this game. These can NOT be blocked by pressing back, but
if you have good timing, pressing Back+Special will stop the
attack and cause your character to counterattack it! Guard
Crushes come in 4 different ways. They can come as Overhead
attacks, Underhand, Long Range, and Grab. Each of the first
three can hit the opponent from different angles, but the Grab
variety have to be done while relatively close. Each of these
can be increased in strength by holding down the button you use
to activate them for an extended period of time, then release it!
Flash Combos: These too are new and orginal to this game.
In order to start one, get close and simply do a standing
punch/paw/etc and quickly press the next button in the
combo and then the next and next. You can do up to 4 moves
in a single combo. After the first punch connects, you can
input the next three buttons right away and let the combo roll
out, or you can do it slowly in case the enemy blocks. Some
Flash Combos end in either Guard Crushes or Grab Guard Crushes,
and again, those are unblockable!
Special Moves: As stated above, each character has 3 Special Moves
that can be charged up with the corresponding Power Gem. A few
characters have other super moves that they can execute, but
they can not have their levels raised.
Super Combos: These are pretty common in recent Capcom fighting
games of late. Under your characters Life Bar is a bar that
fills up each time you do a move, hit someone, get hit,
pick up gems, pick up special diamond, and so on. Some moves,
gems, etc, will cause the bar to fill up faster. Next to the
bar is a number indicating how many full bars have been filled
up. To do a super combo, input the move that's listed in the
characters' move list and press Special. These moves are
very powerful and can turn the tide of battle in an instant!
But use them carefully, because if they miss, you can be left
open for a devastating counterattack!
Taunts: Each character in the game has at least one taunt. Taunts
can be done 16 times for every character except Dan, who can do
them an unlimited amount of times. They vary from character to character.
Some even have more than one taunt, and Dan has several, and how
to do them is listed in his movelist.Taunts leave you open for
attack, but some can cause damage to an opponent. A pretty
humilating way to finish a dizzied opponent!
Items: Another new aspect, Items are very important in this game!
You can get them from the treasure chests, the animals in the
clouds, or from knocking them out of the other person! In order
to use one, press Kick and Super at the same time. If you press
Down, then Kick and Super, the item will be rolled on the ground
and not go off right away. These can even be low kicked back and
forth, and even kicked back to the person who placed it! Items
vary from Bombs, Bananas, Ice Attacks, Stone Attacks, Instant
Dizzy, and so forth. Use these wisely!
Ashura Cloud: Most of the time, the animals on the clouds will
give you items if you attack them, but if a dark cloud comes
by with a red demon thing with six arms (Ashura) be careful
not to touch it, because it will shock you!
Easy Reversals: These are quite easy to perform, and are
great to use as quick "pop-up" attacks! When knocked down,
press S quickly and you will perform a special move the
instant you get up!

4)Key Commands and Abbreviations
These will mostly refer to the commands in the movelist
and some moves in here aren't mentioned in there as well.
Forward= Can also mean Towards. You approach the opponent.
Back= Can also mean Away. You back off from the opponent.
To Block, press Back away from the opponents attack. You
can Block in the Air.
Jumping is simply done by pressing Up, to Super Jump,
first press Down, then push Up quickly. You can control
both your ascent and decent in a Super Jump!
Dashing is done by tapping either Forward or Back
two times quickly.
MoveList Commands:
In the movelist, all directions refer to which way
to press on the controller.
Moves with a + between them are to be done at the
same time.
Moves with a , between them are to be done in one
continual motion.
