Sengoku Musou - Strategy Guide (Page 02)

Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Sengoku Musou - Strategy Guide (Page 02).

Victory Condition- Ranmaru Mori is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Mitsuhide's Ending 1 and Ranmaru Mori as a
playable character.

Field Battle
Akechi Army vs Oda Army

Story- Mitsuhide failed to eliminate Nobunaga at Honnouji. Mitsuhide had to
turn around and take Azuchi castle to prepare for a siege battle between
Nobunaga. As expected, Nobunaga mobilized his troops to surround his former
base.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi is defeated or Azuchi Castle's Tower is
taken.

-The Battle of Yamasaki-

(Lower Path)

Field Battle
Akechi Army vs Oda Army

Story- The Akechi forces repelled the Oda Army and successfully defended
Azuchi Castle. Mitsuhide used this opportunity to give pursuit to the fleeing
Nobunaga and cornered him at Yamasaki.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- All allied officers except Mitsuhide Akechi are defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Mitsuhide's Ending 2 and Ranmaru Mori as a
playable character.

Unlock- Complete Story Mode with anyone once.

Magoichi is the game's ladies man. He wants to kill Nobunaga for oppressing
the people. His main enemy would be the Oda Clan.

-The Battle of Ise-
-------------------

Field Battle
Honganji Army vs Oda Army

Story- After the victory over the Imagawa Clan at Okehazema, Nobunaga's
influence grew immensely and he seized power over the capital of Kyoto. He
then sought to rid the land of the rebellious Ikko Buddhist Sect, and
dispatched his forces to their home base in Ise. However, with the aid of the
Saika Mercenaries the Ikko sect routed the Oda Army. Enraged by this defeat,
Nobunaga himself then led his forces towards Ise in an attempt to obliterate
the Ikko sect once and for all. Magoichi Saika stood alongside the Ikko forces
waiting to engage Nobunaga.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shoukei or Magoichi Saika is defeated.

-Yamasaki Crossfire-
--------------------

Field Battle
Honganji Army vs Oda Army

Story- Ise-Nagashima fell to the Oda and Magoichi somehow managed to escape.
He reported back to Kennyo Honganji who immediately mobilized his troops to
stop Nobunaga's march to Osaka. The two armies would engage at Yamasaki.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Kennyo Honganji is defeated or Nobunga Oda reaches Clear
Point.

-The Battle of Echizen-
-----------------------

Field Battle
Honganji Army vs Oda Army

Story- Magoichi Saika succeeded in routing the Oda Army. However this battle
was simply a diversion of Nobunaga's, whose true goal was to invade the Ikko
Sect's home base of Echizen. Magoichi rushed back to Echizen to guard against
the Oda Army.

Victory Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Magoichi Saika is defeated or all pilgrims are defeated.

-Skirmish at Kyoto-
-------------------

Field Battle
Honganji Army vs Oda Army

Story- Magoichi succeeded in ridding Echizen of the Oda Army. However the Oda
Army gained tremendous power over the years and now the Ikko Sect was the only
power capable of stopping Nobunaga once and for all.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Kennyo Honganji or Magoichi Saika is defeated.

There are two ways of completing this stage. You either defeat Nobunaga after
Kennyo submits or before. Soon after the fire attack succeeds or fails Kennyo
will decide to surrender to Nobunaga. Before he reaches Nobunaga snipe him
from the platform and defeat him. If he reaches Nobunaga, completing this
stage unlocks Magoichi's Ending 2.

But this still won't work if you did not complete Magoichi's first 3 sniping
attempts on Nobunaga in the previous stages.

To reach the sniping point, head to the left of Nobunaga and then a right.
There is a wooden platform in that area. Shoot Nobunaga from there, he won't
see you. Then defeat him before Kennyo submits.

Defeating Nobunaga after Kennyo submits or before completing Magoichi's other
sniping missions unlocks Magoichi's Ending 2.

-Azuchi Infiltration-

Castle Stage
Magoichi vs Oda Army

Story- The Ikko Sect surrendered to Nobunaga. Years of hostility between the
two forces ended and Magoichi disappeared from the pages of history. But
months later, a daring individual would attempt an assault on Nobunaga's home
base of Azuchi.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Magoichi Saika is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Magoichi's Ending 1.

Date Army vs Takeda Army vs Uesugi Army

Story- Shingen Takeda invaded a neighboring fief of Shinano to expand his
power. The Shinano warlords knew they were no match for the Takeda army and
enlisted the help of Kenshin Uesugi who vowed to oppose Shingen. But another
force was fast approaching from the north, The Date army of Oushuu.

Victory Condition- Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date is defeated.

-Okehazema Campaign-
--------------------

Field Battle
Date Army vs Oda Army vs Imagawa Army

Story- The Date Army was successful at defeating both the Takeda Army and the
Uesugi Army in one blow. Using this momentum, Masamune continued his march into
Owari in the south. There he would find Nobunaga fighting for survival against
the massive Imagawa Army.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda and Yoshimoto Imagawa are defeated.
Defeat Condition- All allied officers except Masamune Date are defeated.

-Ise Campaign-
--------------

Field Battle
Date Army vs Oda Army vs Honganji Army

Story- Masamune eliminated Yoshimoto Imagawa and routed Nobunaga as well taking
control of Mikawa and Owari. Seeking to completely destroy the Oda, Masamune
headed to Ise where a battle between the Oda and Ikko Sect had begun.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda and Shoukei are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date, or all allied officers except Masamune Date
are defeated.

-Nagashino Campaign-
--------------------

Field Battle
Date Army vs Oda-Tokugawa vs Takeda Army

Story- Once again, the Date Army defeated the Oda at Ise, but this had been
Nobunaga's intention all along. While Masamune was occupying Ise, Nobunaga went
to reclaim his former territories on Owari. Masamune was now isolated and had
to retreat to Mikawa. There, Masamune would face an invasion by the Takeda Army
and the Oda Army set out as well to thwart Shingen's conquest.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda and Shingen Takeda are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date is defeated or the Date Main Camp is taken.

Completion of this stage either sends you through to the upper path or the
lower path depending on how you complete it. Later during the stage, Nobunaga
Oda and Shingen Takeda will begin to retreat. To advance to Masamune's upper
path, defeat them both before they successfully retreat. To proceed to his
lower path, let them escape.

Field Battle
Date Army vs Oda Army vs Akechi Army

Story- Masamune Date defeated the Oda and Takeda at Nagashino and continued his
march west. As he approached the capital he saw that Nobunaga arrived before
him and had settled inside Honnouji. But an act of betrayal by Mitsuhide Akechi
was about to turn Honnouji into a fiery battlefield.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda and Mitsuhide Akechi are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date, or all allied officers except Masamune Date
are defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Masamune Date's Ending 1.

Castle Stage
Date Army vs Uesugi Army vs Takeda Army

Story- The Date Army emerged victorious at Nagashino, but troop fatigue was
beginning to take its toll. So Masamune decided to return to his home base in
Oushuu, but on the way decided to take Odawara Castle.

Victory Condition- Kenshin Uesugi and Shingen Takeda are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Masamune Date's Ending 2.

desires peace. His main enemies are the Uesugi and Oda clans.

Takeda Army vs Uesugi Army

Story- Shingen Takeda invaded a neighboring fief of Shinano to expand his
power. The Shinano warlords knew they were no match for the Takeda army and
enlisted the help of Kenshin Uesugi who vowed to oppose Shingen.

Victory Condition- Kenshin Uesugi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda is defeated.

-Odawara Infiltration-

Castle Stage
Takeda Army vs Hojo Army

Story- The Battle of Kawanakajima ended in victory for the Takeda Army forcing
Kenshin to retreat to Echigo. Shingen then prepared a march to the capital, but
this would earn the ire of the Hojo Clan, who broke their alliance with Shingen
and stopped shipments of salt into Kai. Shingen then prepared a march on
Odawara Castle.

Victory Condition- Ujimasa Hojo is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda is defeated.

-The Battle of Nagashino-
-------------------------

Field Battle
Takeda Army vs Oda-Tokugawa

Story- After taking down Odawara Castle and the Hojo Clan, Shingen resumed his
march to Kyoto. However, as he approached Mikawa he met Nobunaga and his 3000
muskets. And so a fierce battle was about to begin.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda is defeated or the Takeda Cavalry is
obliterated.

-Siege of Azuchi Castle-
------------------------

Siege Battle
Takeda Army vs Oda Army

Story- Shingen defeated the Oda at Nagashino forcing Nobunaga to retreat to
Azuchi Castle, which was quickly surrounded by the Takeda Army. However, a
certain someone was fast approaching Azuchi as well.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda is defeated.

There are two ways to proceed. Once Mitsuhide retreats, Kenshin will show up
and challenge you. Beat Nobunaga without losing any of your officers to
proceed to the upper path. ("War God's Challenge" mission) If you defeat
Mitsuhide then just defeat Nobunaga without doing Kenshin's challenge. This
brings you to the lower path.

Field Battle
Takeda Army vs Oda Army

Story- Shingen defeated both Nobunaga and Kenshin at Azuchi and then entered
Kyoto, claiming dominion over the land. However, Nobunaga regrouped his forces
and invited Shingen to a final battle at Yamasaki.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda, Yukimura Sanada, or Kenshin Uesugi is
defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Shingen's Ending 1.

Field Battle
Takeda Army vs Uesugi Army

Story- Shingen eliminated Nobunaga at Yamasaki, but he still had one more
powerful enemy who remained alive, Kenshin Uesugi, "The Dragon of Echigo".
Vowing to put an end to chaos, Shingen would engage his mortal enemy at the
familiar battleground of Kawanakajima.

Victory Condition- Kenshin Uesugi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Shingen's Ending 2.

Oda Army vs Honganji Army

Story- The free-spirited warrior, Keiji Maeda, had become a member of the Oda
Army, who had recently entered a feud with the Ikko Buddhist Sect. After
successive defeats by the Ikko Sect, Nobunaga himself marched out, vowing to
obliterate the Ikko Sect at Ise. Being a vassal of the Oda, Keiji would
participate in this battle as well.

Victory Condition- All peasant troops are routed or eliminated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

-The Battle of Nagashino-
-------------------------

Field Battle
Oda-Tokugawa vs Takeda Army

Story- The Oda Army achieved victory at Ise. Meanwhile, the Lord of the Takeda
Clan, Katsuyori, began his march to the capital. Seeking to wipe out the Takeda
Clan once and for all, Nobunaga engaged Katsuyori's force at Nagashino.

Victory Condition- Katsuyori Takeda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

-Dance of Kyoto-
----------------

Field Battle
Oda Army vs Miscreants

Story- The Takeda Cavalry was decimated by the Oda Clan's barrage of musket
fire resulting in total victory for the Oda Clan. Disillusioned by the new kind
of warfare, Keiji headed for Kyoto, alone.

Victory Condition- Goemon Ishikawa is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Keiji Maeda is defeated.

-Odawara Infiltration-
----------------------

Castle Stage
Maeda Army vs Hojo Army

Story- After his stay in Kyoto, Keiji began a journey to get a glimpse at
Kenshin Uesugi, who was widely renowned as a living war god. Hearing that
Kenshin began a campaign against the Hojo Clan, Keiji headed for Odawara
Castle.

Victory Condition- Ujimasa Hojo is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Keiji Maeda is defeated.

This is Keiji's branch stage, but it involves all his previous stages. In "The
Battle of Ise", complete the "Surrender" mission by defeating Magoichi and
Shoukei. In "The Battle of Nagashino", complete the "Go Home" mission by
defeating Yukimura. In the "Dance of Kyoto" complete all missions except "Go
Away". In this stage, on the first floor, complete the "Babysitting" and
"Serious Warrior" missions. If you did all that before defeating Masamune and
his officers you will go to the next stage. If not, it ends here.

Completing this stage unlocks Keiji's Ending 2 and Okuni as a playable
character.

Maeda Army vs Uesugi Army

Story- Upon hearing that Keiji wishes to join the Uesugi Army, Kenshin put
forth a little challenge. Keiji Maeda must defeat the entire Uesugi Army. Never
being one to back away from a challenge, Keiji accepts.

Victory Condition- All Uesugi officers are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Keiji Maeda is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Keiji's Ending 1 and Okuni as a playable
character.

-J. Ranmaru Mori-

Ranmaru serves Nobunaga and his duty is to protect him. Nothing will drive him
away from that path, not even the betrayal of his best friend. His main
enemy is the Akechi Clan.

-Defense of Inabayama Castle-
-----------------------------

Field Battle
Saito Army vs Oda Army

Story- After defeating Yoshimoto Imagawa at Okehazema, Nobunaga set his sights
on the neighboring fief of Mino. The Mino forces were no match for Nobunaga's
Oda Army and soon the the only stronghold left was the Saito Clan's home base
of Inabayama Castle. Due to the relentless assault by the Oda, the Saito Clan
was in shambles and Saito vassals, Mitsuhide Akechi and Ranmaru Mori, knew
they were at the crossroads of their destiny.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Yoshitatsu Saito is defeated.

-The Battle of Ise-
-------------------

Field Battle
Oda Army vs Honganji Army

Story- Nobunaga brought ruin to the Saito Clan. Former Saito vassal Ranmaru
Mori came into Nobunaga's service along with his friend and mentor Mitsuhide
Akechi. Ranmaru's first battle as an Oda vassal would be at Ise-Nagashima.

Victory Condition- All peasant troops are routed or eliminated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

-Betrayal at Honnouji-
----------------------

Field Battle
Oda Army vs Akechi Army

Story- The Oda Clan achieved victory at Ise and continued to score victories
against all that stood in their path. It would seem that Nobunaga would be the
one to rule the land. However, as Nobunaga entered Honnouji in the capital city
of Kyoto, an unlikely individual would launch an assault in the dead of night.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda reaches Escape Point.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

-The Battle of Anegawa-
-----------------------

Field Battle
Oda Army vs Akechi-Tokugawa

Story- Thanks to the efforts of Ranmaru Mori and other loyal officers, Nobunaga
was able to escape death at Honnouji. However, Mitsuhide formed an alliance
with the Tokugawa and sought again to eliminate his former lord. The Oda
confronted the new alliance at Anegawa.

Victory Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi and Ieyasu Tokugawa are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

In this battle, depending on how you won, you will either go to the upper path
or the lower path. If you defeat Ieyasu and Mitsuhide you will proceed through
the upper path, but if you kill Mitsuhide, you will go onto the lower path.

To kill Mitsuhide enter Ieyasu's camp before Mitsuhide arrives. This causes
Hanzo to make him escape and you will have to kill Mitsuhide. To defeat them
both, do not enter Ieyasu's camp. First, wait for Mitsuhide to arrive which
should happen soon after you get the mission to eliminate Ieyasu. Then defeat
them both.

-Gifu Infiltration-

(Upper Path)

Castle
Oda Army vs Akechi Army

Story- The Oda were victorious at Anegawa forcing Mitsuhide to retreat to Gifu
Castle with only a handful of troops. It was here that Ranmaru decided he must
face Mitsuhide alone.

Victory Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Ranmaru Mori is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Ranmaru's Ending 1 and Noh as a playable
character.

-Defense of Azuchi Castle-

(Lower Path)

Castle Stage
Oda Army vs Assassins

Story- Mitsuhide met his end at Anegawa it appeared that Nobunaga was once
again in the seat of power. But those who opposed Nobunaga would gather around
Azuchi Castle. Ranmaru would rise to protect his lord once more with the blade
that struck his mentor, Mitsuhide Akechi.

Victory Condition- All assassins are eliminated.
Defeat Condition- Ranmaru Mori is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Ranmaru's Ending 2 and Noh as a playable
character.

Kunoichi is a ninja, and a friend of Yukimura's. She will normally fight by his
side. Their main enemy is the Uesugi and Tokugawa Clans.

Takeda Army vs Tokugawa Army

Story- The Takeda Army scored a victory at Kawanakajima causing Kenshin to
withdraw. Shingen then began his march to the capital, but standing in his way
was Ieyasu Tokugawa, Lord of Mikawa.

Victory Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda is defeated.

-Gifu Infiltration-
-------------------

Castle Stage
Sanada Army vs Oda Army vs Goemon

Story- Shingen lost his life at Mikatagahra and his heir, Katsuyori, suffered a
crushing defeat at Nagashino. Dark times had befallen the Takeda Clan. It was
then that Kunoichi devised a daring ploy and infiltrated Gifu Castle.

Victory Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Kunoichi is defeated.

-Rescue at Ueda Castle-
-----------------------

Castle Stage
Sanada Army vs Tokugawa Army

Story- Mitsuhide's revolt against Nobunaga changed the course of history.
Several years later, the land was unified under Hideyoshi Toyotomi, but out in
the east was Ieyasu Tokugawa, who still harbored ambition. In an attempt to
eliminate future threats he came up with a plan to assassinate Yukimura Sanada.

Victory Condition- Hanzo Hattori is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Yukimura Sanada is defeated.

There are two ways to advance to the next stage. On the fifth and last sub-level
you will meet up with Hanzo Hattori and Yukimura Sanada. You will then get a
mission to defeat Hanzo before Yukimura is defeated. If you beat Hanzo, you will
advance to the upper path. If Yukimura is injured, you will advance to the lower
path. There are 4 Hanzos, but only one is the real one. His replications will
have less life than him and will be flashing with black so you can easily tell
which one is real. Try to keep Hanzo from attacking Yukimura and beat him,
otherwise, let him defeat Yukimura. Yukimura will be defeated when his life
decreases about half way and then Hanzo will withdraw.

-Siege Of Osaka-Summer-
-----------------------
(Upper Path)

Field Battle
Toyotomi Army vs Tokugawa Army

Story- Despite Hanzo's failure to kill Yukimura, Ieyasu's power grew stronger,
and soon the Sanada would lose all their land. To complete his conquest, Ieyasu
led a campaign against the dwindling Toyotomi Clan, who in turn requested the
aid of Yukimura Sanada. The final battle was to take place at Osaka Castle.

Victory Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa or Hanzo Hattori is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Hideyori Toyotomi or Yukimura Sanada is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Kunoichi's Ending 1. If you complete this stage
by defeating Hanzo instead of Ieyasu, you will unlock Yukimura's Ending 2.

Kunoichi vs Tokugawa Army

Story- The Tokugawa have become the greatest power in all the land. Ieyasu

a dire injury from Hanzo Hattori several years earlier, Yukimura Sanada pushes
himself toward Osaka to fight for the Toyotomi. To aid her master, Kunoichi
performed a pre-emptive attack on Odawara Castle.

Victory Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Kunoichi is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Kunoichi's Ending 2.
