-Siege of Azuchi Castle-
------------------------

Siege Battle
Takeda Army vs Oda Army

Story- Shingen defeated the Oda at Nagashino forcing Nobunaga to retreat to
Azuchi Castle, which was quickly surrounded by the Takeda Army. However, a
certain someone was fast approaching Azuchi as well.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda is defeated.

There are two ways to proceed. Once Mitsuhide retreats, Kenshin will show up
and challenge you. Beat Nobunaga without losing any of your officers to
proceed to the upper path. ("War God's Challenge" mission) If you defeat
Mitsuhide then just defeat Nobunaga without doing Kenshin's challenge. This
brings you to the lower path.

-The Battle of Yamasaki-
------------------------
(Upper Path)

Field Battle
Takeda Army vs Oda Army

Story- Shingen defeated both Nobunaga and Kenshin at Azuchi and then entered
Kyoto, claiming dominion over the land. However, Nobunaga regrouped his forces
and invited Shingen to a final battle at Yamasaki.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda, Yukimura Sanada, or Kenshin Uesugi is
defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Shingen's Ending 1.

-Kawanakajima Showdown-

(Lower Path)

Field Battle
Takeda Army vs Uesugi Army

Story- Shingen eliminated Nobunaga at Yamasaki, but he still had one more
powerful enemy who remained alive, Kenshin Uesugi, "The Dragon of Echigo".
Vowing to put an end to chaos, Shingen would engage his mortal enemy at the
familiar battleground of Kawanakajima.

Victory Condition- Kenshin Uesugi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Shingen Takeda is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Shingen's Ending 2.

Masamune Date is a kid who wants to show the world the might of the Date Clan.
His main enemies are pretty much everyone.

Field Battle
Date Army vs Takeda Army vs Uesugi Army

Story- Shingen Takeda invaded a neighboring fief of Shinano to expand his
power. The Shinano warlords knew they were no match for the Takeda army and
enlisted the help of Kenshin Uesugi who vowed to oppose Shingen. But another
force was fast approaching from the north, The Date army of Oushuu.

Victory Condition- Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date is defeated.

-Okehazema Campaign-
--------------------

Field Battle
Date Army vs Oda Army vs Imagawa Army

Story- The Date Army was successful at defeating both the Takeda Army and the
Uesugi Army in one blow. Using this momentum, Masamune continued his march into
Owari in the south. There he would find Nobunaga fighting for survival against
the massive Imagawa Army.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda and Yoshimoto Imagawa are defeated.
Defeat Condition- All allied officers except Masamune Date are defeated.

-Ise Campaign-
--------------

Field Battle
Date Army vs Oda Army vs Honganji Army

Story- Masamune eliminated Yoshimoto Imagawa and routed Nobunaga as well taking
control of Mikawa and Owari. Seeking to completely destroy the Oda, Masamune
headed to Ise where a battle between the Oda and Ikko Sect had begun.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda and Shoukei are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date, or all allied officers except Masamune Date
are defeated.

-Nagashino Campaign-
--------------------

Field Battle
Date Army vs Oda-Tokugawa vs Takeda Army

Story- Once again, the Date Army defeated the Oda at Ise, but this had been
Nobunaga's intention all along. While Masamune was occupying Ise, Nobunaga went
to reclaim his former territories in Owari. Masamune was now isolated and had
to retreat to Mikawa. There, Masamune would face an invasion by the Takeda Army
and the Oda Army set out as well to thwart Shingen's conquest.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda and Shingen Takeda are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date is defeated or the Date Main Camp is taken.

Completion of this stage either sends you through to the upper path or the
lower path depending on how you complete it. Later during the stage, Nobunaga
Oda and Shingen Takeda will begin to retreat. To advance to Masamune's upper
path, defeat them both before they successfully retreat. To proceed to his
lower path, let them escape.

Field Battle
Date Army vs Oda Army vs Akechi Army

Story- Masamune Date defeated the Oda and Takeda at Nagashino and continued his
march west. As he approached the capital he saw that Nobunaga arrived before
him and had settled inside Honnouji. But an act of betrayal by Mitsuhide Akechi
was about to turn Honnouji into a fiery battlefield.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda and Mitsuhide Akechi are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date, or all allied officers except Masamune Date
are defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Masamune Date's Ending 1.

-Odawara Campaign-

Castle Stage
Date Army vs Uesugi Army vs Takeda Army

Story- The Date Army emerged victorious at Nagashino, but troop fatigue was
beginning to take its toll. So Masamune decided to return to his home base in
Oushuu, but on the way decided to take Odawara Castle.

Victory Condition- Kenshin Uesugi and Shingen Takeda are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Masamune Date is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Masamune Date's Ending 2.

Noh is Nobunaga's wife. She loves him so much that, if anyone, she wants to
kill him. Her main enemies are the Azai and Akechi Clans.

-The Battle of Okehazema-

Field Battle
Oda Army vs Imagawa Army

Story- Yoshimoto Imagawa, a powerful warlord of the Tokai Region led his
massive army west toward the capital of Kyoto. When the Imagawa forces reached
Owari they proceeded to take one Oda stronghold after the other. But then they
decided to rest at Okehazema giving Nobunaga the opportunity he was waiting
for.

Victory Condition- Yoshimoto Imagawa is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeat or the Oda Main Camp is taken.

-Siege of Inabayama Castle-

Siege Battle
Oda Army vs Saito Army

Story- Yoshimoto Imagawa fell to te Oda Army's ambush at Okehazema. In an
attempt to expand his power, Nobunaga sought to take the neighboring fief of
Mino. Noh, a daughter of Mino's Saito Clan, initially wed Nobunaga in the hopes
of taking his life. However, when the two armies met at Inabayama Castle it
seemed Noh's allegiance now belonged to Nobunaga.

Victory Condition- Yoshitatsu Saito is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

-The Battle of Anegawa-
-----------------------

Field Battle
Oda-Tokugawa vs Azai-Asakura

Story- After dominating Mino and the Saito Clan, Nobunaga sought to gain
further influence over the region by arranging a political marriage between
Nagamasa, the lord of the Azai Clan, and his sister, Oichi. But Nagamasa soon
became disillusioned with Nobunaga's methods and rose in opposition to the Oda.

Victory Condition- Nagamasa Azai is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

If at the end you kill Nagamasa and Oichi, you will proceed to the upper path.
If Oichi survives and you defeat Nagamasa quickly you will proceed to the lower
path.

Field Battle
Noh vs Oda Army vs Akechi Army

Story- The Azai Clan was brought to ruin in the Battle of Anegawa and Oichi
returned to the Oda Clan. Nobunaga then marched to the capital and claimed
dominion over the land, but opposition was about to come from an unlikely
individual.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Noh is defeated or Nobunaga Oda fails to escape Honnouji.

Castle Stage
Noh vs Oda Army

Story- The Nobunaga killed at Honnouji was a decoy. The real Nobunaga had
escaped Honnouji and returned to Gifu Castle. Those seeking Nobunaga's life
gathered at Gifu, and Noh was among those seeking to confront her husband.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Noh is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Noh's Ending 1.

Oda Army vs Akechi Army

Story- Oichi joined Nagamasa in death at Anegawa, and thus the Azai Clan was
brought to ruin. Nobunaga then marched to the capital and claimed dominion over

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda reaches Escape Point.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda or Noh is defeated.

Castle Stage
Oda Army vs Akechi Army

Story- Mitsuhide's revolt left Nobunaga with nothing. After barely escaping
Honnouji alive, Nobunaga and Noh headed for Azuchi Castle, now under
Mitsuhide's control.

Victory Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Noh is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Noh's Ending 2.

Hanzo is a ninja serving under Ieyasu Tokugawa. He is very loyal and proficient
in his duties. Their main enemy is the Takeda and Sanada Clans.

-The Battle of Okehazema-

Field Battle
Tokugawa Army vs Imagawa Army vs Oda Army

Story- Yoshimoto Imagawa, a powerful warlord of the Tokai Region led his

-The Battle of Mikatagahara-

Tokugawa Army vs Takeda Army

Story- The defeat at Okehazema brought ruin to the Imagawa and as a result the
Tokugawa Clan declared independence from the Imagawa and reclaimed their
territories in Mikawa. But the Tokugawa soon faced peril as well as Shingen
Takeda began his march to the capital and Mikawa was right in his path.

Victory Condition- Shingen Takeda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa is defeated.

-Crossing Iga-
--------------

Field Battle
Tokugawa Army vs Akechi Army

Story- Thanks to Hanzo and other brave officers, the Tokugawa prevented the
Takeda from advancing to the capital. Years later, while in Sakai, Ieyasu heard
news that Nobunaga was killed by his vassal Mitsuhide Akechi and he was now
looking towards Ieyasu. Ieyasu now had to take the passage through Iga in order
to return to Mikawa.

Victory Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa reaches Nagonoura.
Defeat Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa is defeated.

-Ueda Infiltration-
-------------------

Castle Stage
Tokugawa Army vs Sanada Army

Story- Ieyasu was able to escape peril thanks to Hanzo. Years later Ieyasu
heard news that Nobunaga's successor, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, was conspiring with
the Sanada to bring down the Tokugawa. Hanzo was sent into the Sanada base in
Ueda to expose the conspiracy.

Victory Condition- Secret Letter is acquired.
Defeat Condition- Hanzo Hattori is defeated.

There are two ways to complete this level. You must either gather the
information and acquire the Secret Letter or don't acquire the Secret Letter
and defeat Yukimura. Doing one or the other opens up a new stage for whichever
you did.

If you are going for the Secret Letter then you cannot fight anyone. When you
enter a room and Hanzo says something like "The next room" or "Further to the
back" then that means to enter the next room, but once inside the next room
eavesdrop on the enemy conversations in the room next to that. Walk up to the
door and listen to them. Do not break it. If you do, then you will be
discovered and you'll have to fight people now.

Getting the letter advances you into the upper path and defeating Yukimura
advances you into the lower path.

-Siege of Osaka-Summer-

Siege Battle
Tokugawa Army vs Toyotomi Army

Story- Thanks to Hanzo's actions, the Toyotomi plot never came to be. Years
later Hideyoshi passed away and Ieyasu gained control over most of the land.
Ieyasu was now ready to march upon the Toyotomi home base of Osaka, but just
for good measure, he assigned Hanzo to assassinate Hideyoshi's successor,
Hideyori.

Victory Condition- Hideyori Toyotomi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa is defeated.

Completion of this stage unlocks Hanzo's Ending 1.

-Osaka Infiltration-

Castle Stage
Tokugawa Army vs Toyotomi Army vs Goemon

Story- Ieyasu was unable to uncover any evidence of a conspiracy within Ueda
Castle. So he was then left to give Hanzo the difficult task of infiltrating
Osaka to get evidence from Hideyoshi himself. Determined to serve his master,
Hanzo prepared an infiltration against Osaka Castle.

Victory Condition- Hideyoshi Toyotomi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Hanzo Hattori is defeated.

Completion of this stage unlocks Hanzo's Ending 2.

Ranmaru serves Nobunaga and his duty is to protect him. Nothing will drive him
away from that path, not even the betrayal of his best friend. His main
enemy is the Akechi Clan.

-Defense of Inabayama Castle-

Field Battle
Saito Army vs Oda Army

Story- After defeating Yoshimoto Imagawa at Okehazema, Nobunaga set his sights
on the neighboring fief of Mino. The Mino forces were no match for Nobunaga's
Oda Army and soon the the only stronghold left was the Saito Clan's home base
of Inabayama Castle. Due to the relentless assault by the Oda, the Saito Clan
was in shambles and Saito vassals, Mitsuhide Akechi and Ranmaru Mori, knew
they were at the crossroads of their destiny.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Yoshitatsu Saito is defeated.

-The Battle of Ise-
-------------------

Field Battle
Oda Army vs Honganji Army

Story- Nobunaga brought ruin to the Saito Clan. Former Saito vassal Ranmaru
Mori came into Nobunaga's service along with his friend and mentor Mitsuhide
Akechi. Ranmaru's first battle as an Oda vassal would be at Ise-Nagashima.

Victory Condition- All peasant troops are routed or eliminated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

-Betrayal at Honnouji-
----------------------

Field Battle
Oda Army vs Akechi Army

Story- The Oda Clan achieved victory at Ise and continued to score victories
against all that stood in their path. It would seem that Nobunaga would be the
one to rule the land. However, as Nobunaga entered Honnouji in the capital city
of Kyoto, an unlikely individual would launch an assault in the dead of night.

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda reaches Escape Point.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

-----------------------
-The Battle of Anegawa-
-----------------------

Field Battle
Oda Army vs Akechi-Tokugawa

Story- Thanks to the efforts of Ranmaru Mori and other loyal officers, Nobunaga
was able to escape death at Honnouji. However, Mitsuhide formed an alliance
with the Tokugawa and sought again to eliminate his former lord. The Oda
confronted the new alliance at Anegawa.

Victory Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi and Ieyasu Tokugawa are defeated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

In this battle, depending on how you won, you will either go to the upper path
or the lower path. If you defeat Ieyasu and Mitsuhide you will proceed through
the upper path, but if you kill Mitsuhide, you will go onto the lower path.

To kill Mitsuhide enter Ieyasu's camp before Mitsuhide arrives. This causes
Hanzo to make him escape and you will have to kill Mitsuhide. To defeat them
both, do not enter Ieyasu's camp. First, wait for Mitsuhide to arrive which
should happen soon after you get the mission to eliminate Ieyasu. Then defeat
them both.

-Gifu Infiltration-

(Upper Path)

Castle
Oda Army vs Akechi Army

Story- The Oda were victorious at Anegawa forcing Mitsuhide to retreat to Gifu
Castle with only a handful of troops. It was here that Ranmaru decided he must
face Mitsuhide alone.

Victory Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Ranmaru Mori is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Ranmaru's Ending 1 and Noh as a playable
character.

-Defense of Azuchi Castle-

(Lower Path)

Castle Stage
Oda Army vs Assassins

Story- Mitsuhide met his end at Anegawa it appeared that Nobunaga was once
again in the seat of power. But those who opposed Nobunaga would gather around
Azuchi Castle. Ranmaru would rise to protect his lord once more with the blade
that struck his mentor, Mitsuhide Akechi.

Victory Condition- All assassins are eliminated.
Defeat Condition- Ranmaru Mori is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Ranmaru's Ending 2 and Noh as a playable
character.

-P. Hideyoshi Hashiba-
----------------------

"I intend to deliver good dreams to all the people throughout the land."

Unlock- Starting character

Hideyoshi is a somewhat crazy yet brilliant vassal of Nobunaga Oda. He fights
to find a way to end people's suffering and change a few ways things work. His
major enemies are pretty much the Akechi and Tokugawa.

Oda Army vs Saito Army

Story- After his success at the Battle of Okehazema, Nobunaga Oda decides to
expand his territory to include Mino. Unable to stop Nobunaga's advances,
Yoshitatsu Saito, the leader of Mino, would begin to lose the faith of his
people. Nobunaga would soon reach what would become the final pocket of
resistance against his attacks. The Siege of Inabayama Castle would prove to
be more difficult than anticipated, until a brave warrior named Hideyoshi
Hashiba sets out to battle...

Victory Condition- Yoshitatsu Saito is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated, or the construction of Sunomata
Castle fails.

-----------------------
-Retreat at Kanegasaki-
-----------------------

Field Battle
Oda-Tokugawa VS Azai-Asakura

Story- The fall of Inabayama castle gave the Oda a huge advantage. Nobunaga
cleverly established an alliance with his neighbor, Nagamasa Azai, by offering
his sister, Lady Oichi's hand in marriage. With this newly established
alliance, Nobunaga sets out for the Capital. However, Yoshikage Asakura of
Echizen disapproved and began to revolt against the Oda. Nobunaga rushed to
Echizen to quell the revolt, only to be betrayed by Nagamasa. Hideyoshi would
eagerly volunteer to serve as Nobunaga's rear guard...

Victory Condition- Hideyoshi Hashiba and Magoichi Saika reach Escape Point.
Defeat Condition- Hideyoshi Hashiba or Magoichi Saika is defeated.

-The Saika Campaign-
--------------------

Field Battle
Oda Army VS Saika Army

Story- Thanks to Hideyoshi, Nobunaga would regroup his forces and finally
destroy the Azai-Asakura alliance at Anegawa. With this victory, Nobunaga would
increase both his territory and power. A group called the Ikko Sect opposed
Nobunaga's brutal tactics and began revolting against him. Enraged, Nobunaga
would then head out to Sakai, the headquarters of the Ikko Sect. Upon his
arrival in Sakai, he finds Magoichi Saika, leader of the Saika Army, awaiting
him.

Victory Condition- Magoichi Saika is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.

This is Hideyoshi's branch stage and there are two ways to proceed. To proceed
into the upper path, you must defeat the Saika Army when that mission comes up.
After you defeat the Saika Army, Magoichi will appear and you get a mission to
defeat him. Do so and the stage will end and the upper path should open.
However, if you fail to defeat the Saika Army you will have to defeat all
enemies and thus you shall proceed to the lower path. To fail to defeat the
Saika Army mission, allow Magoichi to shoot Nobunaga before you finish it. Then
the mission should fail and you'll have to defeat the whole army. Afterwards,
enjoy a nice scene with Hideyoshi and Magoichi. ^_^ (The scene plays after you
deal with your weapons, stats, etc.)

-The Battle of Yamasaki-

(Upper Path)

Field Battle
Hashiba Army VS Akechi Army

Story- With the surrender of the Saika Army and the Ikko Sect, Nobunaga would
expand his realm. Nobunaga then decides to expand westward and appoints
Hideyoshi to rid the west of the powerful Mouri. Hideyoshi proves himself to be
a great general as he successfully pushes the Mouri back. He would receive a
shocking message one day saying that Nobunaga had been assassinated by
Mitsuhide at the temple of Honnouji in the Capital. As Hideyoshi hurries back
toward the Capital, he would run into Mitsuhide at Yamasaki...

Victory Condition- Mitsuhide Akechi is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Hideyoshi Hashiba, or all allied officers except Hideyoshi
Hashiba are defeated.

-The Battle of Komaki-Nagakute-
-------------------------------
(Upper Path)

Field Battle
Hashiba Army VS Tokugawa Army

Story- Hideyoshi successfully avenged Nobunaga's death by defeating Mitsuhide
at Yamasaki. He would then declare himself the heir to Nobunaga's realm and
worked on securing his territory. In response to his, Ieyasu Tokugawa of Mikawa
would take Nobunaga's second son, Nobukatsu, to join his clan. Determined to
find who was truly worth of ruling the land, Ieyasu marched his armies into
Owari in an effort to take over Komakiyama to engage his new enemy and
determine the new ruler of Japan.

Victory Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Hideyoshi Hashiba, or all allied officers except Hideyoshi
Hashiba are defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Hideyoshi's Ending 1.

-Betrayal at Honnouji-

Field Battle
Oda Army VS Akechi Army

Story- Nobunaga was successful in destroying the Ikko Sect and was able to
expand his territory even further. He would then decide to expand westward and
appoints Hideyoshi to rid the west of the powerful Mouri. With Hideyoshi gone
in the west, Nobunaga's strength in the Capital would lessen. An ambitious
Mitsuhide Akechi would take advantage of the situation and begins heading

Hashiba Army VS Oda Army

Story- Hideyoshi managed to save Nobunaga from Mitsuhide just in time.
Hideyoshi then resumed his campaign against the Mouri. The Mouri forces were
pushed back tremendously when Hideyoshi returned to the front lines and would
earn the respect of all the Oda generals for this feat. However, an abrupt
peace treaty would end the fighting against the Mouri. Unable to achieve his
dream of becoming master general, a bitter Hideyoshi orders his men to attack
Azuchi Castle, home to Nobunaga Oda...

Victory Condition- Nobunaga Oda is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Hideyoshi Hashiba, or all allied officers except Hideyoshi
Hashiba are defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Hideyoshi's Ending 2.
