Street ball Time!!! ----------------------- Streetball is one of, if not THE, coolest and most often played features of NBA 2K3. It's great because you can play your friends in a good ol' 3 on 3 game and you get to pick anyone in the NBA today for your team. You can also play 5 on 5, 4 on 4, and 2 on 2, but unfortunatly they don't have a 1 on 1 feature, I really wanted them to add this, but oh well, maybe next year. Streetball is a great way to learn how to play basketball without the rules and violations. ---------------------------- 6a. How to play StreetBall! ---------------------------- Streetball is really fun if you know how to do it. Follow these instructions: 1. Dunking Keep in mine that it's easier to block dunk's due to the fact that there are no shooting, blocking, or charging fouls. If you're a big center or other player you can just block everything that comes near the basket. 2. The crossover, is a bit easier. The crossover is a bit easier now due to the fact that there are less players. In 3 on 3, if you got two guys blocking you, it's better to pass. Knowing when, and when not to crossover can be a big success factor, so try to figure it out. 3. Always go for the steal, since you cannot be called for a reach-in foul in streetball mode MAKE SURE YOU TRY TO STEAL AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE! 4. Statistics show everything about how your team and individuals played in the game, including points, blocks, steal, FGA and FGM, 3PM and 3PA. These are important to playing streetball as they tell everything about the game. So pay attention to your streetball stats next time you play. Fast Breaks: 'Breaks are an hugely important part of winning street games, especially on the internet games, and when you play your friends in multiplayer. Blocks: To score you need the ball, blocks are easier so go for them more often, but not as often as steals. Dunks: Dunk as much as you can and don't take many three pointers, unless it's part of your main strategy and you're comfortable taking them. Cross, spin do whatever you have to do to win the basketball game, if it can be called that. In exhibition there were players to block you even if you got past the guy who was guarding you. In 2 on 2, unless the guy's REALLY stupid, he's gonna be guarding the lone player, so generally, you'll need to worry about getting past one guy. OR if the guy tries to block you, one player should be open, pass to him (unless he's like really far back and is not good at threes, or to do to get to the hoop. ------------- 7.
