A. Story
=============
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, picks up where the first one left
off. Kain and Raziel are in Moebius' Chronoplast chamber, having a
heated argument. Kain jumps through the time portal and slips into
Nosgoth's past. Raziel must follow the evil Kain through different
times in Nosgoth's history, and stop him from destroying everything in
his path. Basically, this game is just like the first Soul Reaver,
except there are new friends and foes, and new power=ups for Raziel and
the Soul Reaver. Raziel also finds out more about his past as a Sarafan
Warrior, before Kain resurrected him and his Sarafan Brothers, to be
his sons, his Lieutenants in an evil empire.
=============
B. Controls
=============
Although I hate "Controls" sections in Walkthrough/FAQs, I'm
putting this in for those unlucky people who rented the game and didn't
get a manual:
Left Analog Stick: Move Raziel
X Button: Jump/Swim
L2 + X Button: High Jump / Underwater Speed Burst
Jump (X) + X in Mid-Air: Glide using Raziel's Wings
Square Button: Action Button - Light attacks, pick up items, open
doors, etc.
Triangle Button: Heavy Attacks
Circle Button: Hold to Devour Souls, Tap Twice to Activate / Deactivate
the Soul Reaver
L1: Block Attacks
L2: Crouch
L2 + Square Button: Drop Weapon
R1: Sneak / Auto-Face Enemies in Combat
R2: Look Around Mode (Hold R2 and use the Left Analog Stick to look
around)
R2 + Triangle Button: Fire Projectile (Hold R2 and the Triangle button,
and use the left analog stick to aim. Release the Triangle Button to
fire.)
Select: Access Menu. From here you can Shift between planes, look at
the map, and summon the Soul Reaver.
===============
C. Characters
===============
Raziel - "Born" to Kain as a Son and a Lieutenant of his Army, Raziel
is really a Sarafan Warrior whose tomb Kain raided. Kain resurrected
Raziel and the other Sarafan buried with him, and made them his "sons,"
who were to help him rule his empire of Nosgoth. Raziel, unfortunately,
evolved before his master Kain did (Raziel grew wings at the beginning
of the first game), and was thrown into the Lake of the Dead, destined
to burn in the lake for all eternity. By some luck, however, the Elder
God, a giant squid who dwells within the Abyss of the Lake, saved
Raziel, giving him new life, and the ability to absorb the souls of his
defeated enemies. This is how Raziel became the Soul Reaver.
Kain - Kain, born to noble parents, and thinking himself invincible,
became a vampire after being murdered by robbers. When Kain was
resurrected, he found himself to be a vampire (see Blood Omen: The
Legacy of Kain on Playstation.) At first, Kain made a decent attempt at
healing Nosgoth by destroying the corrupt sorcerers who were poisoning
it. But Kain became power hungry, and decided to rule Nosgoth rather
than save it. He resurrected Raziel and the other Sarafan Warriors as
his "sons" to help him rule this land.
Moebius - Moebius is the controller and watcher of Time. He controls
the Time Portals, which Kain is using to jump between eras. He is a
deceitful little man, with an agenda of his own. He is not to be
trusted.
Vorador - An ancient vampire who roams the land which Raziel first
finds himself in. Raziel feels that someone is watching him the whole
time he is there, and later encounters Vorador outside of the Dark
Forge.
Ariel - The Balance Guardian, who was murdered. She now haunts the
Pillars of Nosgoth.
Elder God - The giant squid from the first Soul Reaver. He is both
Raziel's savior, and his executioner. He saved Raziel from the Lake of
the Dead by transforming his broken body into its new, soul devouring
form, forever condemning Raziel to walk lands of Nosgoth, searching for
the remaining vampires
Janos Audron - An ancient vampire, and the 10th Guardian of the Pillars.
He is the only Guardian still living. He explains Raziel's destiny to
him, and how the Soul Reaver was forged.
==============
D. Reaver Guide
=============
Dark Reaver - The first elemental power that Raziel acquires for the
Soul Reaver is Darkness. When the Soul Reaver has been recharged in a
Dark fountain (they look like bowls with dark, purple light), it
becomes the Dark Reaver. You can tell if the Dark Reaver is active by
looking at the bottom left corner of your screen. If there is an
eclipse symbol (the moon over the sun), the Dark Reaver is active. You
can activate items with Dark Reaver symbols on them by using the action
button while the Soul Reaver is in this state. Raziel can also activate
Dark Reaver altars, which look like Purple Flames coming from spots on
the ground. Shove the Dark Reaver into the altar to activate a Dark
Bridge, which Raziel can walk on. The Dark Reaver's projectiles can
also be used to blind the Sentry Eyes located around Nosgoth, for a
short period of time.
Light Reaver - The second elemental power that Raziel acquires for the
Soul Reaver is Light. When the Soul Reaver has been recharged in a
Light fountain (a bowl with yellow/white light), it becomes the Light
Reaver. This is represented by a Sun symbol in the lower left corner of
your screen. You can activate items with Light Reaver symbols on them
by using the action button while the Soul Reaver is in this state.
Raziel can also use the Light Reaver to shoot the Pink Orbs found over
some doors, which are activated by the Light Reaver's projectile.
Air Reaver - The third elemental power that Raziel acquires for the
Soul Reaver is Air. When the Soul Reaver has been recharged in an Air
fountain (a bowl with a bluish light), it becomes the Air Reaver. It is
represented by a circle, with three U=shaped symbols attached to it, in
the lower left hand corner. You can activate break weak walls using the
Air Reaver's projectiles, and also you can activate Air Reaver altars
with it. The Air Reaver altars look like the Air Reaver symbol, and
will be located on the ground. Plunge the Air Reaver into them to
activate an updraft, which Raziel can glide on.
Fire Reaver - The fourth elemental power that Raziel acquires for the
Soul Reaver is Fire. When the Soul Reaver has been recharged in a Fire
fountain (a bowl with a flame coming out of it), it becomes the Fire
Reaver. It is represented by a fire triangle, with a circle in the
middle. It can open doors with the Fire Reaver symbol on it.

E. Glitches and Precautions
====================
==============
Sarafan Stronghold
==============
This new glitch comes via email from Carrol Curtis
(carrollj@tds.net). Thank you, you were the first to be able to give me
detailed information on how this glitch occurred!
"I found another glitch! It is at the very start of the game when
Raziel finds the physical Soul Reaver on that tomb. Well after Mobieus
leaves and and the doors shut and lock, I tried to go back in. I jumped
and held forward and just went through the locked gate, right through
the lock at the center of the double doors. Well, guess what? You
guessed it, there is no way out! Had to restart and watch all the
opening movies again and redo all the battles."
========
Dark Forge
========
This is the only major glitch in the game, and it's a very annoying
one. It seems that if you mess with the Ravens (the birds that turn
green and disappear) outside the Dark Forge, and then enter and
complete the puzzle, you will have no way to exit the forge. There are
two solutions to this:
Method 1:
Replay the Dark Forge, taking extra care not to disturb the
Ravens on your way into the forge. Complete the puzzle, and you
should be able to use the Dark Reaver to open the door and exit.
Doing this will still enable you to view the cut scene between
Vorador and Raziel.
Method 2:
Open the door to the Dark Forge, and, while the door is open,
switch to the Spectral Realm and proceed into the forge. Make sure
you get a good, long way away from the open doors before you switch
back to the Material Realm. This will cause the game to leave these
doors open. Solve the Dark Forge puzzle, and then, before exiting
the forge, switch back to the Spectral Realm. This will prevent the
doors from closing when you approach them, and you can exit the Dark
Forge without any glitches. Completing the Dark Forge in this manner
will NOT allow you to view the cut scene between Raziel and Vorador.
On a side note, I was told on AIM that if you re-enter the Dark
Forge, and then exit it using the Dark Reaver after leaving using the
method above, you *will* get the cutscene between Raziel and Vorador. I
don't know if the potential to get stuck in the Dark Forge is still
there the second time around or not.
Thanks for information regarding this glitch go out to:
Craig - JRRTolkienNut@aol.com
Knightshade Dragon - knightshade@qwest.net
Mr. Faididi - faididi@hotmail.com
And thanks to everyone else who emailed me that they were having
problems getting out of the Dark Forge. Without you guys, I would never
have believed that there was a problem with the game, since I made it
through glitchfree. Also, if I forgot someone in my list of thank-yous,
let me know so I can give you the credit you deserve.
========
Fire Forge
========
This one comes straight from an email from Aaron Trionfi
(trionfia@sbcglobal.net). Thanks a lot for the detailed information
regarding this glitch, as so far no one had been able to tell me what
the heck they did to enact it!
"...I came across an interesting one (glitch) while completing the
Janos Audron puzzle. If you look closely, you can see where the air
currents will materialze once you complete a level of the puzzle. With
this in mind, you can actually activate the currents with your Air
Reaver before they materialize! Although you can't see the wind, you
can still float up to the next level! I did not realize this was a
glitch until after I completed the puzzle (an alternate way) only to
place the last key in the wrong side of the last door (the game did not
like this and refused to unlock the door!). I had to start the puzzle
over."
=============
F. Walkthrough
=============
======================
1: The Time Streaming Device
======================
Raziel and Kain are where the first game left off, in the
Chronoplast chamber. Raziel and Kain argue for a while, and then Kain
leaps through a time portal and goes into Nosgoth's past, where it is
still undamaged. Raziel follows in pursuit, but Moebius pulls him out
of the time stream so that he does not slam headlong into a battle with
Kain.
============================
2: Sarafan Stronghold
============================
Moebius describes Kain's plan to confront Raziel at the Pillars
of Nosgoth. Moebius describes Raziel's heritage as a Sarafan Knight
before Kain resurrected Raziel and the others as his sons. Moebius
forces an alliance between himself and Raziel. Moebius also shows
Raziel the power of his staff, which can halt a vampires powers, by
forcing the Soul Reaver to disappear, unable to reappear until Raziel
is out of it's range. Moebius gets Raziel to resume a quest to destroy
Kain and "embrace your Sarafan heritage."
After the cut scene has ended, proceed to your right, through the
large double doors. Proceed down the hallway, and defeat the two guards
in it (don't forget to suck in their souls after defeating them). This
will cause the gate to rise so you can exit through the door at the end
of the hallway.
In the next hallway, defeat the single guard, and exit through
the door on your right. You cannot exit through the gate at the end of
the hall yet. In this next room, defeat the single guard and proceed
through the door directly across from where you entered (the only other
exit).
Raziel looks around the stronghold and sees stained glass
depictions of his heritage as a Sarafan Knight, as well as statues of
the Sarafan Knights.
In this large courtyard area, you must defeat three enemies to
raise the gate, which lowered at the end of the cut scene. Proceed to
the gate and shift to the Spectral Plane. Walk forward until Raziel
passes through the iron bars. Proceed to the Blue Portal in the middle
of this room. Feed on the free souls in this room until Raziel's health
has fully recovered, then stand on the Blue Portal and shift back to
the Material Plane.
Away from Moebius' staff, Raziel's Soul Reaver returns, and
Raziel understands how Moebius' crusade against the vampires had been
so successful. With Moebius' great power, vampires would be crippled
and powerless, and at his mercy.
In this new room, part of the Cathedral of the Stronghold, there
are seven enemies, which you can slay, though it is not necessary to
kill them all. At any rate, proceed through the large iron doors
directly in front of where you appeared after the cut scene.
**** WARNING: PLEASE READ "Sarafan Stronghold" IN THE
GLITCHES AND PRECAUTIONS SECTION OF THIS FAQ BEFORE PROCEEDING ONWARD!
THANK YOU! *****
Raziel finds the chapel in which the tomb of King William the
Just is laid to rest. Moebius got Kain to slay William to start the
genocide against the vampires. Raziel finds the original sword, the
Soul Reaver, broken in two but still containing it's soul. Raziel's
Spectral Soul Reaver absorbs the power of the broken blade, and nearly
kills him. Raziel becomes the Soul Reaver's helpless pawn. Raziel
accuses Moebius, who suddenly appears, of setting this trap for him.
Raziel moves to kill Moebius, but leaves the old man, once again in
pursuit of Kain. Raziel can now summon the Soul Reaver at will. His
life gauge is also much smaller than at the start of the game. If the
Soul Reaver is over-used in its new form (there's a second gauge next
to your life gauge, it kind of curves around it), it will begin to feed
on Raziel's health.
There is also a cut scene in which Raziel looks at a Stained
Glass portrait of the Sarafan Knights killing an ancient vampire, by
ripping his heart out. The Sarafan protected his heart, known as the
"Heart of Darkness". They wanted to make sure the evil power contained
within it would never escape.
Exit through the door on the left side of the room. In this
hallway there will be one guard to defeat. Exit through the door at the
end of the hall.
Raziel is in a chapel, which is a memorial to himself and his
former Sarafan Knights, before Kain transformed them into his sons, his
Lieutenants. Raziel reflects on how righteous he was, and how vile he
has become.
Defeat the enemies in this room to open the gate, which was
lowered at the end of the cut scene. Proceed up the spiral staircase
that is located on the left side of the room, and exit through the door
on the upper level.
This hallway contains no enemies, so just run through it and out the
door at the other end.
===========================
3: The Southern Lake
===========================
Raziel looks at Nosgoth in its original form, before Kain destroyed it.
Jump off of this ledge, and swim to the left, until you reach a
piece of land with a set of gears on it. Raziel will illuminate a loop
on a post, which are the game's checkpoints. If you're killed in the
Material World, Raziel will return to the nearest checkpoint. Walk up
the ramp in front of the gears, and activate them. This will open an
underwater passage to your left. Swim through this passage, and head
left until you reach a low piece of land. Raziel will now discover
"ancient obelisks". These are the game's save points. Activate them to
save your game. Now, walk back towards the water, turn left, and jump
up onto the raised land. Now, crouch and jump up to the higher piece of
land. Now, run forward and glide across the gap to the next piece of
land.
Now just follow this path, defeating enemies along the way.
Eventually you will wade through a small river and activate another
checkpoint. Turn around, and you will see a staircase to your right.
Proceed up this staircase, fighting the enemies along the way.
Raziel notices how the impaled vampires along his path look more
like oppressed townsfolk than the ruthless hunters of his era, and
becomes disgusted at this persecution.
Upon reaching the gate, defeat the enemies around it, then hold
the switch to remove the bars holding it closed. Now, proceed through
it.
==================
4: The Pillars
==================
Raziel discovers that Kain was born to be the Balance Guardian of
the Pillars, to replace Ariel, after her assassination. Kain murdered
the rest of the circle to restore balance to their corrupted pillars,
but failed to destroy himself and finish the restoration. Kain avoided
this, as it would annihilate their species, as he was the last vampire.
Kain disappears after the cut scene. Walk behind the pillars to
get the next cut scene. Now, shift to the Spectral plane to open up a
path directly behind the pillars, and proceed down it. Once you reach
the Blue Portal, shift back to the Material plane. There will be
another cut scene, in which Raziel thinks he is being watched. Now,
activate the checkpoint on your right, and proceed onward down the path
in front of you. There will be another cut scene, in which Raziel sees
a figure much like himself, painted on a door. Use the Soul Reaver to
open the ancient door.
=============================
5: Subterranean Ruins
=============================
Now, enter this newly opened path. The door will close behind
you. Fight the (somewhat hard to see) Shadow Enemies as you follow this
path. You will enter a room, which looks much like the pillars on the
surface, and another cut scene will play out. You will discover the
Elder God is still present in this world, and will have a nice little
homecoming with Raziel. Straight ahead of you will be a save point.
Now, dive underwater and search for a tunnel with lights on the
entrance.
Follow this tunnel, and emerge amongst more of those wonderful
shadow creatures. After killing them, turn around and head up the ramp
on the left side of the room. Jump to the ledge (there's a small gap
between the ramp and the next ledge) and proceed down the path.
Eventually you will end up at another pool of water. Dive into it, and
follow the underwater cavern that is lit. Proceed on until you find a
wall that can be climbed (you won't need to climb it since you're
swimming.)
==================
6: Swamp
==================
When you emerge, you will be treated to another cut scene. Now,
proceed forward and activate the checkpoint. There will be a few
enemies here that will need a good slaying, and then you can proceed to
the right by following the "stepping stones." The mud in this area is
quite thick so try to fight enemies on dry land. You'll reach a door,
which Raziel will kick down. Raziel will then have a small cut scene in
which Raziel realizes Vorador is the person who is watching him.
Proceed down the path that was opened, when Raziel kicked down the
door. There will be a few enemies here. After defeating them, proceed
around this area until you come to another arch, like the doorway
Raziel went through after knocking down the door. You'll know when
you've found it, as there is a save point located there. Proceed left
from the save point, down the wide path, fighting the enemies as you
go. There will be a small cut scene in which Raziel talks about "a
passage to the north, which is obstructed and too high for me to
reach." To the left of this area, there is a wall, which Raziel can
climb. Head up it, and jump down on the other side of this wall.
Proceed down this path, until you reach the ruins on which you saw
Vorador. There will be a short cut scene. Now, use the Soul Reaver to
open the door in front of Raziel (as you approach the door, you will
activate another checkpoint.)
***** WARNING: BEFORE APPROACHING THE DARK FORGE, PLEASE READ SECTION
"E: Glitches And Precautions" ABOVE BEFORE APPROACHING THE DARK FORGE.
THANK YOU! *********
===================
7: Dark Forge
===================
The doors will close behind you, leaving you in an empty hallway.
Head down it, and use the Soul Reaver to defeat the guard in front of
the door. Pick up the shield, which will be floating near you in
midair, and place it on the door to open it. Proceed down the hallway,
and then shift to the Spectral Plane to pass through the gate blocking
your path. Pass through this room then head right until you find a Blue
Portal. Shift back to the Material Realm. Head back to the gate that
you passed through, and climb up the wall on the left side of the room.
There will be a short cut scene with Raziel. Head up the stairs, and
slay the enemy at the top with the Soul Reaver. Now, glide across the
room to the pillar with the platform on top. Now, Glide across to the
platform with the stairs, in front of the pillar. There will be a short
cut scene, while Raziel looks around this room. The room contains
mirrors, which you must turn to open the doors located around it room.
Drop down, and turn the mirror until it opens the room on the
right. Go down this hallway, and at the end, Shift to the Spectral
Plane to pass through the grate. You should end up in a large room with
a tree, holding a platform, in the middle. Locate the Blue Portal and
Shift back to the Material Realm. Climb one of the Climbing Walls
(located at the North and South ends of the room) and Glide out to this
platform. Now, shift to the Spectral Plane. The room will twist, and
the Platform you are on will rise up, so that you can glide across to
the hallway in front of you. Once across, stand on the Blue Portal, and
Shift back to the Material Plane. Use the Soul Reaver to defeat the
guard, and then pick up the shield, which is floating near you. Use it
to open the nearby doorway. Proceed down this hall, and then use the
Soul Reaver to shoot open the Ceiling, which is over the mirror. Grab
and Drag the Movable pillar to the center of the room. Then turn the
mirror to face it. If you did this correctly, there will be a small
cut scene showing the shadow cast by the pillar. Now, jump on top of
the fallen pillar piece to the right of the mirror. High jump to the
top of the pillar, and glide across to the open passage. There will be
a short cut scene. Pick up the small mirror, which is held on the
platform. Now drop down and head out towards the main room. When you
approach the door with the mirror symbol on it, it will now open for
you. Now, head on back to the main mirror room. Walk into the room and
the door will close behind you. Head to the back of the room, and place
the mirror on the holder, which resembles the one you removed it from.
Now, go and turn the large mirror until it opens the room on the
left. It will open a door guarded by a gate on the left side. Shift to
the Spectral Realm, and pass through the gate. Find the Blue Portal,
shift back to the Material Realm, and find the Climbing Wall. Climb it,
and head back towards the mirror you passed after coming through the
gate. Turn the mirror by the gate towards the mirror in the main room
(face it forward.) As you approach the ledge, there will be a pillar,
which can be moved. Drag it to the center, and it will cast a shadow
you can walk on. Walk out to the center platform, using this shadow.
Use the Soul Reaver to shoot a projectile at the glowing spot on the
ceiling in this room (its over the mirror that's on the platform.) Once
this opens, turn the mirror until a passageway opens. High jump and
head down this passage. Move the sundial to the right until the light
shines down the hole, hitting the small mirror you placed. There will
be a cut scene, and the large blue crystal in the main room will ignite
the Soul Reaver forge. There will be a short cut scene, and Raziel will
shove the Soul Reaver forge. You will now posses the Dark Reaver, and
your life gauge will increase.
Now, shove the Dark Reaver into the door behind Raziel, and there
will be a cut scene where Raziel explains the elemental wells around
Nosgoth. Now, head towards the far back door, and shove the Dark Reaver
into it. Shove the Dark Reaver into the last Soul Reaver door, activate
the checkpoint, and enjoy a cut scene between Raziel and Vorador.
===============
8: Swamp
===============
Our goal now is to head back to the Southern Lake, at which point
we will enter the Light Forge. I'll assume you can find your own way
back to the Southern Lake, and I will pick up the guide from that
point.
===========================
9: Subterranean Ruins
===========================
There will be a cut scene between Raziel and the Elder God. This
is a good hint that you're going the right way, if you're confused on
how to get back to the Southern Lake. This is also a good place to use
the Save Point. Use the Dark Reaver to open the Exit in this Area, and
enter:
=================
10: The Pillars
==================
Activate the Check Point here once again, and proceed on back to:
=======================
11: Southern Lake
=======================
Jump into the lake, and swim back through the passage that you
opened earlier, using the giant gears. In between the four waterfalls,
there is a small piece of land with a door on it. Use the Dark Reaver
to open this door and enter:
====================
12: Light Forge
====================
As usual, the doors will snap closed behind you, and you'll be
left in a long hallway. Fight your way through this hallway, and Glide
out to the altar with the Purple flame in the middle of the large room.
There will be a short cut scene. If you need to recharge the power of
the Dark Reaver, go to the ground level behind the altar platform, and
recharge it. Now, stand on the Altar and shove the Dark Reaver into the
flames. This will activate a dark bridge over to the other side of the
room. Cross the bridge, and then shift to the Spectral Plane to pass
through the gate blocking your path. Activate the Check Point and
shift back to the Material Plane. Proceed forward and use the Soul
Reaver to open the door in front of you. There will be a short cut
scene while Raziel looks around the room. This is the main room of the
Light Forge. Head to the back of this room, and shift to the Spectral
Plane. Pass through the Gate blocking your path. Head forward until you
come to a Blue Portal. Shift back to the Material Plane. Head back to
the gate that you passed through just a few seconds ago, now in solid
form.
On one side of the room, there will be a mirror, which you can
move by sliding it up or down. Pull the mirror away from the gate so
that it unlocks the set of doors with the Sun on them. Proceed down
this hallway until the gates close, and you have to destroy the enemies
to proceed. You will get a large mirror. Place this mirror on the empty
stand in the main room. Go down the hallway by this mirror, and turn
the large mirror until it opens the sun door near it. Go down this
hallway until you reach a gate. Shift to the Spectral Plane and pass
through the gate. There will be a short cut scene, which hints at the
exit to this area. Climb up the pillars until you are high enough to
glide to the exit. Proceed until you reach the Blue Portal, located on
the left side of a long hallway. Shift back to the Material Realm. Head
back to the room with the Pillars. Activate the Soul Reaver, and
recharge it with the Dark Reaver power. Now, head back to where the
exit you glided to is. The block in the wall between the two staircases
can be dragged. Drag the block out, climb up, and proceed down the long
hallway again. Head left at the end, defeat the guards, and plunge the
Dark Reaver into the Altar. This will create another Dark Bridge. Head
across it, and fight the Guards in the room at the end. Now you have
the second small mirror, now jump down to the room below and place the
mirror on the holder. Now head back to the main room, and back to where
the mirror that slid up or down is. Slide the mirror down away from
the sun door, so it shines on the other mirror. Now, head down the
hallway across from the mirror, glide across the gap. Now, use the Dark
Reaver to open the door. That solves the first part of the Light Forge
Puzzle.
Head back to the room with the pillars and now, you can open the
Dark Reaver gate that you had to pass through before. Head back down
the long hallway, past the large mirror, and Glide across the gap, to
where the statue with the Dark Reaver symbol is. Now, use the Dark
Reaver. There will be a short cut scene with the statue lowering into
the ground. Now, turn the Large Mirror so that it shines onto the Small
Mirror on the other side of the gap (there will be a short cut scene to
let you know they're lined up right. Now cross the gap again, and use
the Dark Reaver to open the door that the Small Mirror is shining on.
This will cause it to shine on another mirror, and solve another part
of the Light Forge puzzle. Head towards the gate in Light Forge Room
(the first gate you passed through.) There will be a short cut scene
and the gate will open.
Now, head back up the long hallway to the room where the Sentry
Eye is (where you used the Blue Portal and saw the guy get zapped by
the beam.) Use the Dark Reaver to shoot a projectile into the eye (its
located over the Sun Symbol, on the Ceiling.) Once the eye rolls back,
run forward and grab the sun symbol. Now, the eye will roll back, so
get out of its shooting range as quick as possible. If you get zapped,
you'll shift back to the Spectral Realm, and will have to shift back to
the Material Realm, and recharge the Dark Reaver in the Pillar Room,
and do this all over again. Now, run down the long hallway, with the
sun symbol, back to the room with the Light Forge in it. Stand in front
of the Light Forge, and place the sun symbol on the spot that looks
like a sun. After a short cut scene, you will be in control of Raziel
again. Walk forward, and thrust the Soul Reaver into the Light Forge.
After another cut scene, you will have the Light Reaver, and a larger
health gauge. Proceed to the door located behind you, and thrust the
Light Reaver into it. It's time to make our way out of the Light Forge,
and back to the Southern Lake. Pass through the door you just opened,
pass by the Light Reaver recharger, and open the Gate behind it using
the Light Reaver. Pass through the room with two staircases (the one
with the Dark Reaver Altar which activates the Dark Bridge) and shoot
the symbol over the door with the Light Reaver (there is a short cut
scene which hints at this.) This will open the doors in front of you.
Head down the hallway, and use the Soul Reaver to open the doors in
front of you, allowing you to proceed back to:

13: Southern Lake
======================
Swim back through the underwater passage (you'll need to open it
again, using the gears like before) and make use of the Save Point
before entering Moebius' Strong Hold once again. Once you're ready, use
the Light Reaver to shoot at the Pink Orb over the partially submerged
doors. This will open them up and you can enter the Stronghold.
===========================
14: Sarafan Stronghold
===========================
Swim into the newly opened passageway. At the end of it, there
will be a place to recharge the Light Reaver on the left side, and
another hallway to your right. Head down the hallway to the right, and
there will be a short cut scene showing the doors close behind you.
Head down the hallway, defeating any enemies which you may encounter.
Exit through the door at the end of the hall. Now you'll be in a room
with several enemies. Defeat them all to open the next door. Head
through this door, and you'll be back in the Cathedral where the Soul
Reavers merged. Head forward through the large iron gates, for a long
cut scene between Kain and Raziel. Head through the door to your left,
and down the hallway, until you reach the round room with all the
murals on the walls. Find the exit on the right side of the room, and
head down it. You will now be in a room where you need to defeat the
enemies to open the exit. Once they are beaten, proceed through the
opened exit and into the courtyard you where in at the beginning of the
game. Defeat the enemies here, and head down the hallway in front of
you. Exit this hallway through the doorway at the end, and you will
find yourself in another room where the exit is locked. Defeat the two
guards and the dog to unlock the exit, and move onward through it. Go
left down this new hall, and out the exit. Go through the large double
doors, to the left of the Light Reaver recharge point, and enter the
room where the game began.
==================================
15: Time Streaming Device
=================================
Use the Light Reaver to shoot the pink orb over the door on the left
side of the room. This will open the door, and cause a cut scene
between Raziel and Moebius. Raziel will transport himself back in time,
and emerge in the Time Streaming Device in the past. Exit through this
room's only door, and enjoy the cut scene. Raziel will activate a
checkpoint, and emerge in a very different version of:
===========================
16: Sarafan Stronghold
===========================
After defeating the enemies in this room, exit through the large double
doors, to the south. Proceed forward, destroying enemies as you
encounter them. Exit through the twisted bars on the right side of the
hallway. The creatures in this version of the Sarafan Stronghold are
Wraiths, and will exist in both the Spectral and Material Realms, so be
careful. Pass through the door at the back of this room, and head down
the short hallway, and into the courtyard. Pass down the hallway on
the opposite side of the courtyard, and through the door in the room at
the end of it. You will find yourself in the round room that had all
the paintings of the Sarafan Warriors on the walls. Head through the
North exit, and defeat the two large enemies to remove the energy wall
blocking your path. Head through the twisted iron bars and you will be
treated to a cut scene, where Raziel finds out that he is really in
Nosgoth's future, instead of the past. Raziel decides he has to explore
the era he is in, since Moebius has left him stranded. Head through the
gate to the west, and forward through the great cathedral, and out the
door in the back, to the West. There will be a cut scene between Raziel
and Moebius' spirit. After the cut scene, exit through the door to the
right, and head on down the hallway. Defeat the three large enemies
here to remove the green barriers blocking your path. Swim back out of
the stronghold and enter:
