IV. HERMITAGE OF THE TAMAYORIBITO
*******************************************************************************
1. You can collect more of Essence of Amahagane in the Mount Kurama.
Once you are on the world map, go back to the Mount Kurama, at the first
screen when you fight 4 enemies. They are not that generous to drop it
though. It is more easily to get it drop on the Japanese version :)~
(Try to do it early when your level is low and keep playing Yoshitsune)
And when you need more health just head to the Hermitage and you will
enjoy the full health and full Kamui treatment there, S5.1.
2. Raising your Defense Level early in the game will give you solid protection
and more challenging game for Kamui performance. And using Kamui means you
will get level up bonus exp.
3. When you defense you still loose a little bit of your health.
The same goes to the enemies.
4. When you are not facing the enemy properly during a Kamui session,
there is a possibility that your Kamui will not working even when you
pressed the Square button at the right moment.
Sometimes it will be interrupted by the enemies around you causing
the attack from other enemy does not delivered the right way to you.
For that reason, the [] timing will only show up in grey colour as when
you failed to press it at the right moment.
Moreover, you are free to running around while performing Kamui whether you
will press the [] or not. This means you are able to find your best
advantage/clean position before hitting the [] button.
5. Sometimes, you can get more level up bonus experience when you kill enemies
using the Kamui + regular combos compare to using perfect Triple Kamui.
6. Double or Triple Kamui is useful to slow down the Square button timing.
Double Kamui means during a Kamui (which the enemy will attack you),
you press [] for another Kamui (right) before the attack hit you.
This will give you even SLOWER reaction from the enemy and you will enjoy
full advantage of easy timing.
What about another Kamui after the second one? This is called Triple Kamui
If you are so d*** slow then this is the right treatment for you to waste
a Triple Kamui on a single attack from the enemy.
A better way to waste it would be on the next/second attack during a Kamui
Note that a Kamui (session) will not finish until the enemy has completely
finished his attack/chain attack.
On the other hand, if you failed on the first chance to press the [] button
, the chain attack from the enemy will stop.
For Example when fighting against Kagekiyo Taira in Chapter 1 who will
attack you three times during a single Kamui session.
7. Different weapons can perform different (finisher) skills.
Compare between Benkei’s Grand Hexagonal Club and Iron Fauchard
(Club vs Spear).
When using Iron Fauchard perform Hold R1+Triangle then finish it with
Triangle + Directional L3. Nice.
8. Kamui (level up bonus) Rating Exp will depends on the accurate timing and
the situation (how difficult and the style you perform) when you defeat
the enemies.
For example you can get 127 Kamui Rating for defeating only 3 enemies at
the very early playing in chapter 1.
9. How to Counterattack
You need to wait until the enemy’s attack is almost hit you then press [].
Tip on doing Counterattack:
stand very close (facing) to the enemy, follow him, wait for him to attack,
when almost hit you press [] button. This will give you a better view and
enough time to react.
Or else when you see the attack coming, quickly move very close to him and
press [] when it almost hit you.
Performing Counterattack might give you health replenish.
10. You can use a regular jump onto the enemy’s head to get 1(one) hit.
Allright, this has becoming a bigger issue as it is going to play a more
important role to a fun strategy when beating up big guy like Hoe Goblin
and make him feels like a baby doll.
--->Ranma Chiu has found an easier and fun way
to defeat Hoe Goblin and other big Guys, including Nue.
Jump + Triangle to perform special kick onto the Hoe Goblin and right after
that, quickly press X to add another hit as well as to extend the combo,
repeat with Triangle and X and Triangle and X continuously.
--->In addition to, you are able to jump from one enemy to another with
this move. Press X and directional L3 when hitting the enemy to find your
next target.
11.When you switched player remember that the equipped item/accessory on
Yoshitsune does not available to Benkei. You need to unequipped it first.
12.Retreat means you are able to go back to the World Map instantly or to the
beginning of the underground/dungeon depends on where you are at that moment
(up one level to go out).
13.During a Kamui session, it is possible for you to run away from the first []
attack and you are still in charge for the next [] buttons as long as you
are not hit by the enemy.
For example: During a fight with Kagekiyo in Chapter Two.
He will perform a 3 hits Kamui combo.
14,Actually, there is a slightly different of times when you use different type
of weapons. When you use a higher attack status, you will finish the enemy
faster. When using a Kamui, the difference is not significantly overseen
because the damage taken is so big that is why sometimes/usually the number
of the hits taken by the defeated enemy is the same when using different
(LOWER) attack status.
Let me guess, the Kamui combo will be less one hit if the attack status is
lower by 30 points, of course you need to make the hit on the same enemy
to be fair.
For example: During a fight with Kagekiyo in Chapter Two.
15.Mastering a Kamui is so much fun, Each character will perform unique styles
of Kamui Skills and will differ it based on the type or size of the weapon
used. One thing to remember is, you do not have to stand still during a
Kamui, instead be a proactive and taste a bit of dodging skill.
During a Kamui session, when the enemy is coming after you, avoid it
by running to a safe point(save from the enemy's reach) while keep paying
attention to the [] button timing. But not too far from the enemy.
Once you are at the saver point and the enemy's attack is avoided,
you still have a good chance to press the [] button successfully.
This also works when performing a Kamui Combo hits as long as you are not
(jumping) in the air.
For example: During a fight with Kagekiyo in Chapter Two.
In other words; you can play seek and hide with the enemy during a Kamui
session.
16.List of the Special Order will be 100% completed in Chapter Three.
Except for the Secret Special Order :).
The secret Weapon; The Gale and The Boulder Piercer will be available
on the Continue Mode chapter 3 once you have completed the Weapons List.
17.The highest quantity of every item on the Menu Screen is always 15pcs.
18.If you try to sell the Special Order's items or Special Items from the Trial
the Stubborn Blacksmith will say "I am not interesting in buying".
19.Honestly, I think this game talk more about Kamui, Kamui and Kamui.
that means, we need only to upgrade the defense department because we
already in possessions of a god like powerful skill -Kamui-.
Why do we need to increase our strength when there is no longer
equal contender. In addition to, the more powerful your weapon is,
the faster you defeat the enemies/bosses.
I miss the ability to combine accessories (to produce more beneficial
skills as you choose your own path).
I hope to do more useful things/skills/upgrade skills with lots of
(two dozens) accessories. On this game you need to equip only one of them
and actually you DO NOT need to equip it at all to finish (the game)
the entire strongest opponent.
Well, as I said, It is all about Kamui, Kamui and Kamui.
On the good side, this is also a great point about Genji,
as you are pushed to let out/perform your greatest skill to overthrown the
evil empire by utilizing every skill you have learned so far
throughout the game. Not to mention the greatest visual pleasure :)¬
-I really miss the Legend of Dragoon though-
20.Your Sword Skill Ranking will determine how much you earn experience.
The higher your Sword Skill means you will get higher experience.
However, as you progress through the game, you will usually equip powerful
and the more powerful weapon and accessories to defeat the bad guys.
This also means your Sword Skill Ranking will be decreasing as you progress
in addition to the level up which will give you more attack point thus you
will finish them more quickly. The only way to increase the Sword Skill
Ranking is to unequipped the strong weapon and change it into a lower attack
power weapon to get more combo hits. Do you want to use it or not is up to
you since it will give you more experience and combo hits but will take more
time. I think it is not a bad idea since this game has a Continue Mode and
that will also persuade you to lift up your combo skills for the bosses.
For example: When defeating Kiyomori at the end of Chapter 3 :)~
*159 combo hits and Invincible Sword Skill Ranking
when equipped with Charm of Tyranny and Lightning Sword*
*343 combo hits and Invincible Sword Skill Ranking
when equipped with Charm of Tyranny and Unsigned Sword*
(of course you can achieve more than that)
21.Have you noticed that the slide show on the title screen will keep
changing throughout the progress of the game.
For example if your have reached to chapter 2, the Trial of Light at
Konjikido, then a picture representing Konjikido will be available on
the menu screen. Once you have progress to chapter 3 then a picture of
Devil City Kyoto will be available.
[22].Yoshitsune's combo is differ into 2(two) styles;
---> 1st one is an Offensive Combo - 6 hits.
Press [] 6 times while holding down! L3 to the enemy direction.
The last move is a powerful single thrust to the heart of the enemy.
For example when you are completing (True)100 Kills Challenge (Lizard Man)
and when fighting Kiyomori at the Final Chapter.
---> 2nd one is a Defensive combo - 5 hits.
Press [] 5 times without! holding down L3 to any direction.
The last move is a double sword 360 degree cyclone to hit the enemies
surrounding you. Well, at least that is what it supposed to be.
For example when fighting with a bunch of regular enemies.
23.At the Stubborn Blacksmith, once you have progressed through the game,
some of the earlier weapon are not available anymore.
If you want to collect everything, please buy it at the earliest possible.
