Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Dark Summit - Strategy Guide (Page 03).
This one I will tell you the best place to get each one make sure you
don't go over on these because then you will fail.
3X: After the Challenge Com link use the ramp jib on the first red
object ollie on the next one and jib and when you leave do A trick to
get a 3X combo.
4X: You know where the cluster of rails is? There you go just make
sure not to go over.
5X: The second cluster is your ticket just stay on until you have a 4X
combo jump off and spin to get your 5X combo.

Name: Technical Wizardry
Specific Location: Same location as challenge 22
Difficulty: 3/5
Introduction: Master the terrain park. Perform 10 combos before the
end of the park. Keep in mind you're being watched. A good thing if
you succeed.
Goal: Successfully perform 10 combos.
Hint: Combos are performed by linking to and from a rail.
Pass: Word has it the chief knows of your skills... and he's worried.
Good Work.
Fail: Yes I know. If it were easy everyone could do it.
Point Amount: 80,000
This one will take some practice before you pass. Here are the ten
rails I use to get the 10 combos needed for me to pass.
1. Go to the right side and you will see a rail on top of some snow.
Use the ramp to get up there then do a trick and jib the rail to get
a combo.
2. After that one is another doing the same.
3. Then to your extreme right is a set of three rails do a trick then
jib to get your third combo.
4. After that is a hill that ends with two rails. I am sure you know
what to do.
5. Over the hill is a jump followed by two red things you can get two
combos on. What you do is use the ramp do a spin jib. First combo.
6. Then between the two is some snow go down there and stop. Then
jump on to the next red object jib then do a trick off of it. Second
combo. I rarely ever am able to do this but you can try.
7. After that there is a cluster of rails. Do a trick onto one of the
straight rails. Then get off and spin.
8. Then the next two rails curve outward. Do the same as the other
rails.
9. Then the next two curve inward you know what to do... right?
10. Then after the "no Snowboarding Sign" on the left is a large
cluster of rails. There you go.

Name: Combine And Conquer
Specific Location: Same location as challenge 23
Difficulty: 3.75/5
Introduction: Time to up the ante. Prove you're worth and you'll be
worth more. Perform 2 combos involving a special trick.
Goal: Successfully perform 2 combos involving a special trick.
Hint: Use the rails for best results.
Pass: You keep proving yourself worthy. You must be the chosen one.
Fail: Dig deep, find your skills, we need you.
Point Amount: 120,000
This one is actually difficult the reason it is difficult is that the
rails the give you in the area you have to perform in do not give you
much air. Another reason is the good rails are near the end so you
HAVE to get them to be successful. The two rails I use and only use
are these ones:
=On the hill with the yellow arrow on the right side is three rail,
kind of in a row get your combo on the first two then your special
trick after leaving the last rail. I would advise a High Kick...
=On the right side of the first cluster of rails is a long rail that
kicks up at the end then there is another rail you land on get your
combo there. Wait to land on the next rail and get you special trick.
I advise High Kick again.
26.
Name: The Streak
Specific Location: On the left path of Function Junction it is the
second Challenge Com Link
Difficulty: 2.8/5
Introduction: Cover some serious turf in style. Pull off an 8X combo.
Just to prove you can.
Goal: Successfully perform one 8x combo.
Hint: Connect as many rails in a row as you can.
Pass: That was serious. We're impressed.
Fail: Not this time, keep it up.
Point Amount: 150,000
I hope you have a great snowboard and love jibbing. Because you will
need both to just complete this. The easiest way to do this is to
snow plow right after you get started and do a grab onto the first
straight rail to get a 2X combo. While on that rail ollie and jib a
couple times on the same rail to boost your combo. Ollie onto the next
rail doing a grab to get your combo times up one more. Ollie to the
next doing the same until you got an 8X combo. Basicallywhat I am
saying is do a grab between rails and if the rail turns just jib and do
manuals. If it is straight ollie then jib.
27.
Name: Like Sister, Like Brother
Specific Location: Take the "To Ski Jump" path and keep on the main
path it is the first Challenge Com Link.
Difficulty: 2/5
Introduction: Hanz is still running around bad-mouthing you. Go take
his milk money.
Goal: Find and approach Hanz.
Hint: Quick. Hanz is just standing around.
Pass: Angry sister alert. Get out of there.
Fail: Your alpine flower is hidden beneath the snow. Try again.
Point Amount: N/A
Go to the right through the electric fence and jib on the rail jump the
jib on the other one and just go forward some more. Simple as pie I'd
say. But doing this will make his sister Rachel mad and you will have
to outrun her.
28.
Name: Olympic Ski Jump
Specific Location: It is the second Challenge Com Link on the Ski Jump
side.
Difficulty: .75/5
Introduction: There have been reports of an old ski jump. Being used
to launch test vehicles. Find this launching pad and check it out.
Goal: Locate and reach the Olympic Ski Jump
Hint: Follow the Ski Jump signs.
Pass: There it is, why is chief so intent on keeping you away from
here. What kinds of vehicles are being worked on up here.
Fail: my sources are tight. It's around there somewhere try again.
Point Amount: N/A
Sometimes I wish that they put a little bit more effort into the
challenges of this game. Anyway onto the walkthrough. The hint says
follow the ski jump signs. But there is only one and that is at
almost the ending. So instead follow the danger and stay out signs.
The path to it is on the left side after the goo gap.
29.
Name: Opening Ceremonies
Specific Location: After challenge 28 keep going and you will see it.
Difficulty: 2/5
Introduction: Mt. Garrick was going to be the sight of a winter
Olympics until the military... Well anyway... do a 1620 with a grab off
the ski jump as your own opening ceremonies.
Goal: Successfully perform a 1620 with a grab.
Hint: Move left or right after you release the jump button.
Pass: You've opened some eyes yet again. Good work.
Fail: You can't cut it here.
Point Amount: 60,00
Go to the fence and jump to get onto the ski jump. Then hold down A and
forward. When you get to the end let go of A and do a mute/method grab
and hold left/right until you meet or break 1620 degrees then let go
and line up your landing. I've gotten 1980 before. What is your highest?
30.
Name: Heels Over Head
Specific Location: Same as challenge 29, 31, 32
Difficulty: 2.5/5
Introduction: Time for self imposed astronaut training. Prove you can
right yourself after performing a triple flip.
Goal: Land three flips in one jump.
Hint: Move up or down to flip after releasing the jump button.
Pass: You just might be ready for some extra terrestrial work.
Fail: An upside down world is not an easy one to live in. Keep Trying.
Point Amount: 100,000
Go to the fence and jump to get onto the ski jump. Then hold down A and
forward. When you get to the end let go of A. Then hold up or down
until you get three or more flips. My record is five flips what is
yours?
31.
Name: Multi Point Grab
Specific Location: Same as challenge 29, 30, 32
Difficulty: 3/5
Introduction: Perform 4 grabs before landing. If you can pull this off
I swear I'll eat a cow.
Goal: Land 4 grabs in one jump.
Hint: if this is too hard try it again with a better board.
Pass: I'll just have the soup and green salad. Oh and can you bring a
cow with that.
Fail: You saved a cow. And saved me from eating that cow.
Point Amount: 120,000
By this time you should have enough points to get the best snowboard if
not get 2 million points and get the board. On this one you want to
pull the tricks off quickly. I recommend doing the Indy, Method, Mute,
and Tail Grabs.
32.
Name: Tonight's Specials
Specific Location: Same as challenge 29, 30, 31
Difficulty: 3.5/5
Introduction: Do 2 special tricks before landing. Just for the hell of
it.
Goal: Land 2 special tricks in one landing.
Hint: Check your available Special tricks in the Pause Menu.
Pass: Nice, stylish, you are special.
Fail: I'm sorry but we're all out of special's tonight.
Point Amount: 140,000
Go to the fence and jump to get onto the ski jump. Then hold down A and
forward. When you get to the end let go of A. Then do any 2 of the
special tricks before hitting the ground. I advise doing two of them
that do not take long to complete. Some examples are: High Kick, Back
Flip 180 Tail Grab, Front Flip 720 Method etc...

Name: Rachel's Wrath
Specific Location: Complete the "Like Sister Like Brother" Challenge
Difficulty: 2.5/5
Introduction: N/A
Goal: N/A
Hint: N/A
Pass: You dealt with the angry sister nicely. You are ready to take on
bigger tasks.
Fail: You've just experienced the terror of an angry little sister on
tiny skis.
Point Amount: 120,00
One of the many things in life that I have learned is never piss off a
freak. And Rachel is no different. I guess her and her preppy brother
are real close and when you knocked him down she hates you with a
goal to kill you. As with all other chases simply use your speed and
evasion to outrun her and you'll finish rather quickly. Something that
is not good for you though is she has a fast snowboard that will even
make the prototype MG look only a little fast so you WILL need to stay
on your toes.

You've reached the summit lift. You've made your mark. The Chief
really wants a piece of you now. This is your chance to find out what
he's hiding. Make sure you don't underestimate his influence around
here.
34.
Name: Ski Patrol Chief
Specific Location: After you come out of the Summit gate you'll get
this. Getting four of the five bomb pieces triggers this one.
Difficulty: 4/5
Introduction: The Chief's superiors are not pleased that you've gotten
this far. The stakes are too high to let you keep running around
digging up secrets. So he's heading to the Base to order your
termination. Beat the Chief.
Goal: Reach the bottom of the mountain before the Chief does.
Hint: Slow the Chief down by knocking him over.
Pass: I knew you'd crack him but where did he go? Let's not probe that
question any longer. Time to check out the backcountry.
Fail: You were so close to blowing the lid off of this conspiracy.
Don't give up now.
Point Amount: 500,000
This one is my favorite challenge that has someone chasing someone.
The reason being is because it is a challenge but it is not instant
failure if you fall behind. This one is way to long for me to give
you
a step-by-step so I'll just give you a couple of pointers:
* Make sure you have the fastest board.
* Hold forward and A, it makes you go faster.
* When jumping a gap hold forward and A and then let go of both when
you are at the lip of the jump.
* Knock Chief down by sideswiping him from the front left/right side.
* Get to know the land so you know where everything is.
* Try not to do anything fancy.
* NEVER give up.
35.
Name: Skiers Only!?
Specific Location: First Challenge Com Link on "To Forest" trail.
Difficulty: 1/5
Introduction: The chief still thinks he can keep snowboarders off the
mountain. Time to send another message. Break 5 "No Boarding" signs.
Goal: Destroy five "No boarding Allowed" signs.
Hint: Be careful, some signs hide dangerous holes.
Pass: That showed him. Destruction is a great way of communication. I
liked that.
Fail: You're letting the Chief get his way that is bad for the
snowboarding community, I urge you to try again.
Point Amount: 40,000
The five signs you will be looking for are right here (they are all in
a row):
1. Right after the Challenge Com Link
2. After a series of rails.
3. On the left side of a jump.
4. In the middle of the trail
5. Right after that one
Here are a few more
=After a pipe.
=On the left side of the trail.
=Go up the red rail in the middle after jumping down and jib up it.
36.
Name: The Bomb
Specific Location: On the trail after the gap with a lookout tower and
a shiny money symbol floating over it but before the wooden structure
you can jib on.
Difficulty: 1/5
Introduction: Sam's been keeping an eye on the forest, and has spotted
another bomb. Follow her trail and scoop up anther trump card to use
against the Chief and his cronies.
Goal: Pick up the bomb.
Hint: Follow Sam to the railslide.
Pass: The balance of power is shifting. Security is on high alert stay
on your toes.
Fail: Don't fail us now, it's buried in this forest. I know it.
Point Amount: N/A
This one makes me wish that they didn't rush this game to get it on the
market. If only they put a little more time in it you know? Well
simply follow Sam's trail past the gap with the trees up the hill to
the red pole with the bomb on top of it. Simple as pie, you agree?
37.
Name: Feed The Bear
Specific Location: Third Challenge Com Link on the "To Forest" trail.
Difficulty: 1.5/5
Introduction: Forest Ranger Dick. My reports say he used to be
O'Leary's right hand man. Didn't agree with the military build up on
the mountain though, so the Chief gave him the boot. See if you can
coax some information out of him. We hear he's working near the bear
cave.
Goal: Find and reach the bear cave.
Hint: follow Ranger Dick's warning signs to the bear cave.
Pass: Guess he's not ready to side with you just yet. Get out of
there.
Fail: N/A
Point Amount: N/A
This just might be my favorite one. Probably because of the cut-scene,
it is just hilarious. Well I digress... to find the cave go forward
and when ever you come to a fork take the right path. Also if you
follow the signs with the word 'bear' on them you'll be led straight to
this one. I do not advise trying to jump the large gaps in the area
because if you wipe out then you are almost guaranteed to fail. When
you complete it within the time limit you'll be treated to a rather
amusing cut-scene that will lead you into the next part... Outrunning
Forest Ranger Dick. He is not an easy person to outrun. The best way
to outrun him in my opinion is weave back and forth between obstacles
if you are able to do that and hope he hits one to gain a couple of
seconds. Or just find a nice path you like and use speed to outrun
him. The last part of the chase will have you going through trees so
practice your slaloming skills. At the end of the chase is a huge jump
with a Special Trick Icon in the air (Heart Attack). When you complete
this one it is a great way to celebrate to grab that one right as you lose
him.
38.
Name: Daredevil
Specific Location: Second Challenge Com Link on the "To Forest" trail.
Difficulty: 2/5
Introduction: Helicopters aren't just for tourists up here. Jump that
surveillance copter and give chief a scare.
Goal: Jump over a landed helicopter.
Hint: Watch for the helicopter and remember timing is critical.
Pass: Your don't give a care attitude is ruffling a lot of feathers
around here, keep it up.
Fail: That wont cut it but it might get you cut.
Point Amount: 80,000
This is yet another one of my favorite challenges. Not only because
you get to do something many would never think of but also because you
can really rub it into the Chief if you do an awesome special trick
over it. My personal favorite is flip catch. Well to get the chopper
stay on the left side and keep left at the first and second fork. Then
go through the warning sign hold A and forward and when you get to the
lip of the jump let go of A and do your favorite special trick.
39.
Name: Lose The Tails
Specific Location: After the challenge where Len showed you a bomb
follow the yellow dots on the snow.
Difficulty: 3.5/5
Introduction: N/A
Goal: N/A
Hint: N/A
Pass: Good work, stay on your toes, you're getting close.
Fail: N/A
Point Amount: N/A
This one is the second most annoying chase you'll have. It is annoying
because while it takes you forever to recover after a wipeout it takes
them not even a second. This one is a little long. There are two gaps
that you'll need to take the jump at an angle and land on the stone
pillars and jib to the end of the gap. It will take you a couple of
tries. The first gap you need to jump to the left and the second one
you need to jump to the right. In a few instances in the chase there
will be a time where you can jump a gap or go around. Do what makes
you comfortable. This one probably will take you several tries to
finish, when you get frustrated turn the game off and try later.
*NOTE* there is a special trick icon after the first gap you need to
jib across.
40.
Name: The Big Gun
Specific Location: Take the "To Big Gun" path and when you have the
option of going right to a Challenge Com Link or left go right and you
will run into this one.
Difficulty: 2/5
Introduction: The official use of the old World War II artillery gun is
for avalanche control. Go find it and use it unofficially to take out
the security measures that guard the Chief's headquarters.
Goal: Locate and reach the big gun.
Hint: Follow the "To Big Gun" Signs
Pass: You did it! Now get out of there!
Fail: OK; now I hear the Chiefs going to use that for snowboarding
control. Would you like to try that one again?
Point Amount: N/A
This one is one of those that you'll pass with ease unless you cannot
transfer your jibs. If you can not I recommend practicing them right
now. Go right following the sign then jib along the blue pole
transferring to the other. That ends your first set of poles you need
to transfer to. Immediately getting off of that one go to the next and
jib on that one following that and transferring when necessary. Do
this a couple of times and you are now going to have to out run an
avalanche!
*NOTE* If you do not feel like jibbing simply follow the poles on the
ground and with enough speed you can get up the hill to the artillery
gun.
41.
Name: The Avalanche
Specific Location: Pass "The Big Gun" challenge to get this one.
Difficulty: 1/5
Introduction: N/A
Goal: N/A
Hint: N/A
Pass: Whew that was hairy. Speaking of O'Leary he's going to be miffed
at this little incident. The headquarters are exposed. Good work.
Fail: At least you're alive. It would be all over without you around.
Point Amount: N/A
By shooting the artillery guns projectile you created an avalanche and
in consequence of that you must now outrun the avalanche. To out run
the avalanche, treat it as if anyone else was chasing you. Use speed and
be careful while attempting tricks. This one is one of the chases that
it is easier to complete if you have a walkthrough. There are a number
of large gaps you need to jump. The first and second ones only require
speed and timing. But the third requires you to take the jump at an
angle and jib on the stone pillar across. The fourth require you to do
the same but jib on the right. Luckily on this one you can wipe out a
couple of times and still pass.
42.
Name: The Bomb
Specific Location: Take the "To Big Gun" path and when you have the
option of going right to a Challenge Com Link or left, go left and you
will run into this one.
Difficulty: 1/5
Introduction: Len has had his share of battles with the Chief up here
in the high alpine snow. I hear their last scuffles uncovered yet
another
bomb. Let Len show you the way.
Goal: Pick up another bomb.
Hint: Follow Len to the Bomb
Pass: You are so close now, I am starting to think we can win.
Fail: N/A
Point Amount: N/A
Follow Len's trail as closely as possible, if you lose him don't worry
he leaves a red trail. The bomb is in plain sight right before a track
that has hills (none of them are good enough to get any air though on)
and rails are on the side, you can get a really great combo with the
long wavy rails though.
43.
Name: Apocalypse Cow!
Specific Location: Get through the alien halfpipe and you will be given
it automatically.
Difficulty: .25/5
Introduction: An alien spacecraft was tracked to this site by the
military and they have been trying to keep it a secret. What they
didn't plan on was the fact that the aliens who landed here have
controlled the minds of cow and are unleashing them on the world.
Take care of this before a bovine hell is unleashed on us all!
Goal: N/A
Hint: Knock down 10 cows to complete this challenge.
Pass: You are golden.
Fail: N/A
Point Amount: N/A
This challenge is a little far-fetched in reality but what the hey.
You only need to smash into 10 cows and they are littered everywhere so
this one is rather easy in my opinion. Anyway here are the locations
of 10+ cows:
1. If you jib up the pole into the fenced off are there is one in the
end.
2. One before the goo gap you must jib across.
3. One after the goo gap.
4. On the left side of the path after the third one.
5. On the right side of the path after the third one.
*NOTE* you can get those two at once... snowplow.
6. At the fork take the left path and it is to the left of the red
warning sign.
7. Stay left and it is in front of a jump.
8. Out in the open after the goo gap you jumped.
9. On the right side of the path.
10. Take a right at the fork, out in the open.
*NOTE* If you took lefts at some forks and rights at others then the
cows will be in different locations and most of them are out in the
open so I will not list additional ones.
44.
Name: Do Not Enter
Specific Location: You get this one as you come out of the Helidrop
gate.
Difficulty: 2/5
Introduction: You know they're here. It's time to find out what all of
these experiments have been about. Find the military operations
top-secret project. Prove all you're training wasn't a waste.
Goal: Find the secret entrance.
Hint: Don't let the ski patrol catch you
Pass: You've reached the alien halfpipe! Reach for the stars.
Fail: N/A
