LGT: 3 2
STD: 5 5
HVY: 7 7

Play Notes: There's a small stop about a third of the way through the song.

Heavy Notes: Lots of this song is following the slight off-beats in the
synth rhythm, mostly in the first and third thirds. The middle contains
several streams, but nothing too harrowing.

DDR Debut: DDR Extreme (Arcade)

projects are with the vocalist Sanae Shintani. See INFINITE PRAYER for

5W. PASSION OF LOVE =
=====================

UNLOCK: Mission D-11

Artist: NAOKI feat. PAULA TERRY
Genre: Hyper Euro Beat
BPM: 78-155

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 1
LGT: 4 5
STD: 6 6
HVY: 7 7

Play Notes: Several seconds into the song, it will slow down to half speed,
then pick back up to normal speed after a couple of measures.

Heavy Notes: The slowdown spot is full of off-beats, and it speeds back up in
the middle of a stream, so make sure you know where it is. After that, it's
mid-length streams with crossovers, and some off-beat freezes.

---

Lyrics:

Tell me you love me, I'm so crazy, so crazy in love with you

So crazy, so crazy, your love, there ain't nothing I can do

Try to escape from this love and surprise me
You, you hold the key to set me free, my love

I'm so totally into you
There is nothing I can do
I'm so totally into you
All the time, my baby

I try to break from this passion that binds me
But, what, what can I do, when it's just you I see?

I'm so head over heels over you
There ain't nothing I can do
I'm so totally into you
Over you, my baby

Totally into you
What am I supposed to do?
I'm so head over heels over you
Over you, my baby

Crazy love

Crazy love

5X. Polovtsian Dances And Chorus =
==================================

UNLOCK: Mission B-19

Artist: Naoto Suzuki feat. Martha
Genre: Trance
BPM: 146

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 1
LGT: 4 4
STD: 6 6
HVY: 8 8

Heavy Notes: Short to mid-length streams, with LOTS of crossovers, and they're
not all metered (like say, as in BOOM BOOM DOLLAR). They fly all over the
pad. Also, a few spots with small sixteenth clusters.

---

Lyrics:

Uletaj na kryl'jach vetra
Ty V kraj rodnoj, rodnaja pesnya nasha
Tuda gde my lubya svobodno peli
Gde bylo tak privol'no nam s toboju

Tam, pod znojnym nebom
negoj vozduch polon
Gde rad govor morja
Dremljut gory v oblakach

Uletaj na kryl'jach vetra
Ty V kraj rodnoj, rodnaja pesnya nasha
Tuda gde my lubya svobodno peli
Gde bylo tak privol'no nam s toboju

English Translation:

Fly on the wings of the wind
to the homeland, our home song
where we sang freely loving
where me and you felt so freely

There beneath the burning sky
Languid breezes cooled us
There beside the mountains
Straight above the silver sea

Fly on the wings of the wind
to the homeland, our home song
where we sang freely loving
where me and you felt so freely

(Thanks to Joe Moravitz for a loose translation of the second verse)

---

Song Type: Public Domain/Konami Original
First Appearance: BRAND NEW
Artist Notes: If it's the same Naoto Suzuki, this guy's produced a few songs
 for Ayumi Hamasaki.
Misc. Notes: The original instrumental version of this song was written by
Alexander Borodin in 1869, as part of his opera "Prince Igor". It is
probably his best-known work. This song is featured in Konami's next thing
in action games: OZ, currently only available in Japan. This song has a
music video which plays without dancing characters, which features videos
and shots from the game, OZ.

5Y. Quickening =
================

UNLOCK: Mission C-20

Artist: dj TAKA
Genre: Psychadelic*
BPM: 150

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 1
LGT: 3 3
STD: 5 5
HVY: 6 7
CHA: 8

Heavy Notes: This song's mostly pretty easy streams, with some freezes thrown
in. It picks up in difficulty near the end, but not all that much.

Challenge Notes: Streams and more streams. A large part near the beginning
and the middle is psuedo-triplets. There's a long sixteenth cluster just as
the beginning gets underway. There's also a spot in the latter half that
 is almost entirely off-beat.

---

Song Type: Konami Original
First Appearance: Dance ManiaX 2nd Mix
DDR Debut: DDR Ultramix
Artist Notes: See Colors for info on dj TAKA.
Misc. Notes: The Heavy steps are the Heavy steps from DDR Ultramix, but the
Challenge steps are actually the Heavy steps from DDR Festival.

============
5Z. SAKURA =
============

UNLOCK: Mission D-47

Artist: RevenG
Genre: Spiritual*
BPM: 14-320

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 3
LGT: 5 6
STD: 8 8
HVY: 10 10
CHA: 9 9

Play Notes: The song begins at 300 BPM and remains there for some time.
About a third of the way through the song, it drops to 150, hangs there for
a few measures, then begins a slowdown all the way to 14. Then after the
slow measure, it goes back up to 150 for several more measures, then makes a
big jump up to 320, where it goes for the rest of the song until the last
few measures, where it quickly slows down to about 90 over the course of
 those measures.

Heavy Notes: Many people consider this a difficult 9-footer, as there are
9-footers more difficult than this, but it's still a great challenge, if for
nothing else than the fluctuating speed. The 300 part is pretty simple,
some gallops, but mostly quarter notes. Once it drops to 150, it's pretty
much a constant stream, with a freeze and one step on the really slow part.
The next 150 part has more gallops and some sixteenths, the 320 part has
mostly quarters and a few more eighths than the first part, with doubles
marking the orchestra hits near the end, and the slowdown at the end is one
stream, which you have to adjust with as it slows down.

Challenge Notes: Basically a stripped down version of the Heavy steps.
Fewer steps on the 300 part. The first 150 part has breaks in the stream.
There's no step at 21. The second 150 part has no gallops or sixteenths, and
the 320 part has again fewer steps. The slowdown is quarter notes.

---

Song Type: Konami Original
First Appearance: beatmania IIDX 8th Style
DDR Debut: DDR Extreme (Arcade)
Artist Notes: RevenG is an alias for Naoki (see the FAQ).
Misc. Notes: SAKURA is, of course, Japanese for "cherry blossom", referring
specifically to cherry blossom trees that are popular in Japan, particularly
in spring time, when the blossoms all fall from the trees at once.

==========================================
5AA. SANA MOLLETE NE ENTE (B.L.T. STYLE) =
==========================================

UNLOCK: Mission X-03

Artist: Togo Project feat. Sana
Genre: Mondo-Cuban*
BPM: 90-180

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 2
LGT: 2 2
STD: 5 5
HVY: 7 8
CHA: 8

Play Notes: The song begins at 90, until the big orchestra hits, then kicks
up to 180 for the rest of the song.

Heavy Notes: Once you get truly underway, the biggest problem comes from
lengthy, but easy, streams at the fast tempo. No real surprises.

Challenge Notes: The streams are now a bit more complicated and a bit longer,
and there are also some chaotic off-beat steps to take care of.

5BB. Saturday Night Love =
==========================

UNLOCK: Mission B-27

Artist: Sota feat. Brenda V.
Genre: Disco House
BPM: 128

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 1
LGT: 3 3
STD: 5 5
HVY: 6 6

Heavy Notes: Mostly simple streams with freezes. A couple of crossovers, and
some off-beat sections in the first half.

---

Lyrics:

Hey yeah, hey yeah, hey yeah, mmmm...

Love is in the air
It started one weekend
That's when I knew love would begin
If he would just give, give me some time

I walked up and asked
If he liked to slow dance
He nodded his head and he said "Yes"
I knew he would fall for me

Everybody said it’d never last
Said that I'm dreaming, and I'm going to fast
Oh, don't believe us when you hear what you hear, I say yeah
Saturday night

I'm getting ready for the time of my life, girl
I want this man, so I put up the fight
If you believe in love, wave your hands and say yeah
Saturday night

Sunday night, it began for you
Tuesday night, we'll make dreams come true
You'll hold on, 'cause one night just won't do
Just to find you'll be lovin' me, too

Saturday night is for love, so let’s get this right!

Song Type: Konami Original
First Appearance: BRAND NEW
Artist Notes: See "Can Be Real" for info on Sota.

5CC. SEDUCTION =
================

UNLOCK: Mission C-38

Artist: nc ft. FINALFORCE
Genre: Hard Trance
BPM: 95-190

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 2
LGT: 5 5
STD: 7 7
HVY: 8 8

Play Notes: The song begins at 95, then picks up to the standard 190. There
are two small stops in the latter half of the tune.

Heavy Notes: The opener is a lot of sixteenths, but a repetitive rhythm. Once
the song gets underway, the streams get long, twisty, and with jumps thrown
into the beginning of some. It's a pretty high-end eight-footer.

---

Song Type: Konami Original
First Appearance: BRAND NEW
Artist Notes: See Genie In A Bottle for info on noisycroak.

==================
5DD. SEXY PLANET =
==================

UNLOCK: Mission X-13

Artist: Crystal Aliens
Genre: Drum'N'Bass
BPM: 180

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 2
LGT: 5 4
STD: 6 5
HVY: 7 7

Heavy Notes: Short streams mostly, but there's quite a bit of turning, and
quite a few taps. This song would be easier if it were slower. Fast speeds
means turns and taps are tough.

---

Song Type: Konami Original
First Appearance: Dancing Stage feat. True Kiss Destination (Arcade)
American Appearances: DDR Ultramix
Artist Notes: Crystal Aliens is a Naoki psuedonym.

===========================
5EE. Sweet Sweet <3 Magic =
===========================

UNLOCK: Mission C-28

Artist: jun
Genre: Happy Hardcore*
BPM: 180

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 2
LGT: 3 3
STD: 6 6
HVY: 9 9

Play Notes: There's a tiny stop just after the verse and before the last
chorus. It lasts about a beat.

Heavy Notes: This is a pretty tough nine-footer. I base that around the fact
that there are plenty of odd steps: triplets, sixteenth gallops, plenty of
freezes with steps in them. The fact that it's pretty fast doesn't help
 either.

---

Lyrics:

Let's go!
Ooh...
Ooh...

Magical Love, Magical Kiss!
You've shined a light
On my whole world my friend
Love is in the Air
Beauty's everywhere
The magic of your love lasts forever
(Sweet sweet love magic)

Magical Love, Magical Kiss!
You've opened up my heart to love again (ooh)
Never ever go away
Promise you will stay
And feel my life
With your sweet song

C'mon!
(Sweet sweet love magic)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(Sweet sweet love magic)
Never to see you go
(Sweet sweet love magic)
You give me more
(Sweet sweet love magic)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

My skies they used to be gray
And I
Never could see the sun above me
Until you appeared (you appeared)
And you brought your joy, peace and happiness

Like a princess (go)
Revived again (go)
Because of your sacred kiss (yeah)
Hope was gone (go)
You came along (go)
And cast your spell
Cast your spell

Magical Love, Magical Kiss!
You've shined a light
On my whole world my friend (yeah)
Love is in the Air
Beauty's everywhere
The magic of your love lasts forever

Magical Love, Magical Kiss!
You've opened up my heart to love again (ooh)
Never ever go away
Promise you will stay
And feel my life
With your sweet song

---

Song Type: Konami Original
First Appearance: DDRMAX2: DDR 7th Mix (Arcade)
American Appearances: DDR Ultramix
Artist Notes: Junko Karashima is one of those wildcard Konami Original artists
whose song appeared new in a DDR arcade mix and isn't Naoki. The vocals are
 done by Ebony Fay.

=============================
5FF. sync (EXTREME version) =
=============================

UNLOCK: Mission D-35

Artist: OutPhase
Genre: Trance*
BPM: 167

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 1
LGT: 4 3
STD: 7 7
HVY: 8 8
CHA: 9 9

Heavy Notes: A rather easy eight-footer. There are some crossovers, but
the streams never get longer than three notes.

Challenge Notes: The streams are longer. There are also two long sections,
one near the beginning, and the other near the end, which are entirely
offbeat. The middle has the most chaos, focused around gallops and offbeat
 steps.

---

Song Type: Konami Original
First Appearance: beatmania IIDX 5th Style
DDR Debut: DDR Extreme (Arcade)
Artist Notes: OutPhase is a collaboration between dj TAKA (see Colors) and
TaQ Sakihabara, a commissioned artist. This "EXTREME version" is shorter
 than the original sync.

===============
5GG. TOMORROW =
===============

UNLOCK: Mission B-21

BPM: 140

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 1
LGT: 3 4
STD: 5 5
HVY: 7 7

Heavy Notes: Fun heavy steps. Starts with basic streams into a double
freeze, then goes into steps that follow the music (first the music box, then
the anthem itself). Once the snare drum march percussion gets in, the steps
follow that, including the sixteenth rolls. After all that, more of the
anthem step following, which includes streams of decent length and
 crossovers.

Song Type: Konami Original
First Appearance: BRAND NEW
Artist Notes: See Genie In A Bottle for info on noisycroak.

BEG: 1
LGT: 4 4

dotted about. The end follows the classic chipset tune sound.

---

Song Type: Konami Original
First Appearance: beatmania III
DDR Debut: DDR Extreme (Arcade)
Artist Notes: Final Offset is Hideyaka Sugaya, an artist with a small amount
 of beatmania tunes.
Misc. Notes: Yes, this tune is based on an old Konami game of the same name.
It was released as "Stinger" in the USA.

BPM: 70-140

Difficulty:
    Sgl Dbl
BEG: 1
LGT: 4 3
STD: 6 6
HVY: 7 7

Play Notes: The "Let me be your fantasy" part is a stop. After the words end,
the song goes at 70 for a few measures, then goes back to 140 for the rest.

Heavy Notes: Mostly mid-length streams and quite a few crossovers. Before
the stop, watch for some freeze tricks that may trip you up.
