<<<<< THANATOS CHIP 8 >>>>>
===========================

Back in the room with three gates, the Gold Gate (North) will now
open, but don't pass through it just yet. This is where your effort
for replaying the level will pay off.

First, destroy the Balor Danu that spawns in the area using Malice
or Blasphemy's Crimson Carnage. Pick up the Life Max Up S Gem it
drops.

Now, the gate to the south will open. Pass though it. Run through
the big room with the stone pillar in the center, continuing south to
the narrow hallway.

Once you enter the hallway, break the Bomb Gate to the left with
Blasphemy to collect a Life Max Up S Gem. Now, continue up the path
to the west where you find a load of Zeodagdas guarding a Sealed Gate.

Destroy all the enemies that appear here. Collect any itms (like EXP
M Gems) that drop. With all the enemies out of the way, the Sealed
Gate to the west will open. Behind it is an Attack Up L Gem, a Life
Max Up S Gem, a Soul Max Up S Gem, and a Defense Up S Gem. But, most
importantly, there is a Thanatos Chip! Yay!

Now, in order to keep all these nifty items and the Thanatos Chip in
your inventory, you must fully complete the level again. That means
defeating Gil Balor again! You CANNOT choose the "Return" option to
go back to the Intermission screen, or you will lose the Thanatos
Chip (not cool).

So, head all the way back to the room with the three gates and pass
through the Golden Gate (the one to the north) to fight Gil Balor
again.  (oh man . . .)

*=====================================================================*
*/////////////////////* BOSS:  GIL BALOR (AGAIN)*\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\*
*=====================================================================*

Didn't you destroy this guy?

Anyway, he's back. The method to beating him is the same as before.
There is a weak spot on his head. To expose it, knock down his two
front legs. (When he falls to one leg, he will release Crawlers on
the ground.)

Once he is on the ground, quickly attack his weak spot - the
turquoise orb - with Sieg, Malice, or Crimson Carnage attacks. (You
can also use Malice's Sniper ability.)

Soon, he will get back up. Look out for his attack with his front
legs. Run a bit under him when he is about to attack. Also, beware
his laser blasts. Also, he might start spinning down the corridor,
swiping his legs at you. If this happens, run to the open areas at
the north or south ends of the corridor.

Again, use the (R1) button to center the camera and follow Gil Balor,

as the right analog stick is disabled in this area.

Note: At the south end of the hallway is a Life Recovery S Gem and a
       Soul Recovery S Gem.

Soon, Gil Balor will be destroyed. At the north end of the corridor,
an EXP XL Gem will appear. Pick it up to complete the level.

~~ LEGION LAYOUT: MALICE & BLASPHEMY (or any that need EXP)~~
--------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 1: Destroy the Target! (Rudo Garia, Zeodagdas, Laser Zombies,
                               Seedling)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Where Sieg begins, he will now find some tougher enemies. Ahead of
him is a Rudo Garia and some Zeodagdas. On a ledge in the middle of
the area are three Laser Zombies.

Run around the ledge to the north to find an EXP S Gem and your
target:  a Seedling.

=== TARGET: SEEDLING ===

First, I suggest running up to the ledge and knocking the three Laser
Zombies off the ledge so they can't shoot you when you're attacking
the Seedling.

Now, go back to the Seedling and use Crimson Carnage on the
Zeodagdas. When attacking the Seedling, jump across it back and
forth so you don't get hit (but you knew that).

You'll get an Attack Up S Gem and Phantom Life when the Seedling is
destroyed.

Now, there are two gates here - Northwest and Northeast. You'll
remember this. "Scene 2" is optional, but it gives you an Attack Up
S Gem. If you want to move on, skip to "Scene 3" in this section.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 2 (OPTIONAL): Destroy the Target! (Rudo Garia, Zeodagdas, Golem)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Destroy the Rudo Garia by the Northeast gate and pass through it.
Pick up the Attack Up S Gem.

=== TARGET: GOLEM ===

Around the Golem are Zeodagdas. Use Crimson Carnage or summon
Blasphemy and attack the Golem from behind. Watch out for his charge
attacks and yelling attacks.

This is a good place to fill your Soul Meter. When the Golem is
destroyed, you will receive a bit of Phantom Life and a Life Recovery
S Gem. Now, head out and pass through the northwest gate.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 3: Blaze A Path! (Zeodagdas, Laser Zombies, Rudo Garia, Jenon)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you destroyed the Rudo Garia and Golem from "Scene 2," you can
float through part of this area without confrontation. Otherwise,
you'll have to face some Zeodagdas, and a Laser Zombie.

In any case, head north to the gap in the fence. (Watch out for
shots from three Laser Zombies across the way on a ledge.) Drop
down to the ledge below, and then head east (to the right) and fall
to a narrow path. Turn right to grab a Life Max Up S Gem behind a
Rudo Garia.

From there, head north past where the ground dips to some ledges in
the northwest corner. Fight off any enemies you encounter. Leap
up the ledges to a narrow walkway on top. Head north from there to
the end of the walkway.

=== TARGET: JENON ===

You know what to do here. Get behind the Jenon and use it for
cover. Kick some bombs at it and build up your Soul Meter. Keep any
Zombies or Zeodagdas from getting back to where you are. Watch out
for laser blasts from the Laser Zombies.

When the Jenon is destroyed, you'll get a bit of Phantom Life. Now,
jump up the ledge to the east and move into the new area.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 4: Oh Great! (Golem, Seedling, Jenons, Zombie Soldiers, Laser
                     Zombies)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember this part?

=== TARGET: SEEDLING & GOLEM ===

You'll have to face a bunch or Laser Zombies on top of some Zombie
Soldiers. Try and keep the little guys on their backs with Crimson
Carnage. Also, focus on the Golem first. Remember to attack it
from behind and kick a few bombs on it. Pick up any items that
drop.

You can try using a Jenon for cover, but it's pretty tough because
the Golem will come in and try to pound you.

When the Golem is destroyed, you'll receive Phantom Life and a Life
Recovery L Gem.

Now, concentrate on the Seedling, using Crimson Carnage attacks.
When you jump-attack it, again, be sure to jump back and forth to
lower the chances of being hit.

When the Seedling is destroyed, you'll get a bunch of Phantom Life
and a Life Max Up S Gem.

Pass through the open gate to the next area.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Scene 5: Annihilate the Enemy! (Laser Zombies, Zeodagdas)
-----------------------------------------------------------

This is the area with four platforms. Use them for cover when
disposing of the enemies. In the center is a Defense Up S Gem.

Each of the platforms has a Laser Zombie standing on it. And, some
Zeodagdas will be running around. When all the enemies are
exterminated, the screen will swirl and fade automatically.
(Checkpoint!)

--------------------------------------
Scene 6: Destroy the Target! (LONG!)
--------------------------------------

Time for the really long infomercial again!

=== TARGET: JENON ===

Ahead, in the center of the arena are some Zeodagdas and a Jenon.
Go to the Jenon and start pummeling it with Crimson Carnage. Move
around it as well to use it for cover against your attackers.
(Look out for mines that move around too!)

Note: Crimson Carnage will destroy a lot of the enemies that come
       near. You'll receive Phantom Life for every mine you destroy.

When the Jenon bites the dust, you'll receive Phantom Life.

=== TARGET: JENON ===

Now, by the gate, some Ogmas and Zeodagdas will spawn around a
Cannon Zombie. The Cannon Zombie is the primary target. Hit it
with a few Crimson Carnage attacks and it will go away. (Watch
out for attacks from the Ogmas.)

=== TARGET: FOUR CANNON ZOMBIES ===

This should be looking familiar. Next, four Cannon Zombies will
spawn around the arena. A Red Badbh will show up in the center.
(Make sure you stay away from him when he charges.)

Just run around the arena, attacking each Cannon Zombie little by
little until they fall. Watch out for Zeodagdas and mines too.
Use Crimson Carnage when you have to.

When the last Cannon Zombie goes down, you'll get a bit of Phantom
Life and Phantom Soul.

=== TARGET: BADBH ===

Now, turn to the south end of the arena to find Ogmas and Zeodagdas
spawning around a Red Badbh. The Badbh is the target (duh). Get
in behind the Badbh and kick a buncha bombs into it. If it falls
over, keep attacking it while it is down. Keep other enemies at a
distandce with your trusty Crimson Carnage attack. Be sure to
watch out for when the Badbh charges at you.

When the Badbh falls, you'll receive a little bit of Phantom Life
and a Life Recovery S Gem.

=== TARGET: VERGE ZAGAN ===

The gate will finally open, but a Verge Zagan will come charging
through. Attack its neck with Crimson Carnage. Beware its charge
attacks and its tail. Also, some Zeodagdaswill want to play.
But, the Verge Zagan will crumple fairly quickly. When it does,
you'll get Phantom Life and a Defense Up S Gem.

Whew! Move through the open gate.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 7: Destroy the Target! (Cannon Zombies, Zeodagdas, Seedling)
--------------------------------------------------------------------

=== TARGET: SEEDLING ===

Move east along the path to the gate where you find a Seedling.
Look out for mines and Cannon Zombies. Destroy what you need to
with Crimson Carnage. Again, pile the baddies under the Seedling
and hit everything with bombs. Move around when you jump-attack
as well. If you have to, knock some of the Zombies off the ledge
so they can't shoot you.

When the Seedling falls, you be rewarded with Phantom Life and an
EXP S Gem.

Don't forget to drop down the ledge to the west grab the Defense
Up S Gem. Move on through the gate to the east when you are
finished here.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 8: Destroy the Tartet! (Mines, Zeodagdas, Cannon Zombies)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Destroy!
--------
This next open area has two pillars in it.

=== TARGET: THREE SEEDLINGS ===

First, dispose of the Seedlings in the side areas (north and south)
by jump-attacking and using Crimson Carnage. Watch out for blasts
from the Cannon Zombies in the center.

When the first two Jenons in the side areas go down, you'll get
Phantom Life and two Life Recovery S Gems.

With the side Seedlings out of the way, go for the Seedling by the
gate. Keep the three respawning Cannon Zombies on their backs with
Crimson Carnage. Knock them off the ledge if you have to. Remember,
when jump-attacking the Seedling, well, you know . . .

Annihilate!
-----------
When the Seedling is finally destroyed, a new batch of friends will
appear. These guys consist of a bunch of Zeodagdas, some Cannon
Zombies, and a Red Badbh.

Use Crimson Carnage liberally here. Attack the Badbh from behind,
and you should be fine. Grab any items that drop. Once all the
enemies drop, you will receive a bit of Phantom Life, and a Life
Recovery S Gem. Move on ahead.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 9: Destroy the Target! (Zeodagdas, Cannon Zombies, etc)
---------------------------------------------------------------

In this new area, get Sieg to follow the path, leaping up some ledges
to where a few Zeodagdas spawn. When you reach the top step, go to a
gap in the fence along the west wall. Drop down to the path below to
pick up an Attack Up S Gem.

Now, fight your way up this new path past some nore Zeodagdas to get
to a gate with a Seedling.

=== TARGET: SEEDLING ===

The Seedling is your target, but take care of the Cannon Zombies
first so they don't get annoying. Now, work on the Seedling while
fending off the Zeodagda army.

When the Seedling is no more, you'll pick up an Attack Up S Gem.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 10: Destroy the Target! (Cannon Zombies, Zeodagdas, Ogmas, Red
                                Badbh)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Destroy!
--------
This next area has some ledges in the middle as well as Cannon
Zombies and Zeodagdas. Jump all the way up to the top ledge to find
some Cannon Zombies and items like an EXP S Gem and a Life Max Up S
Gem.

=== TARGET: THREE JENONS ===

In the Southwest and Northwest corners of the area are two Jenons.
Use them for cover against Cannon blasts and other enemy attacks.
Crimson Carnage is great here. You can destroy the Cannon Zombies
if they get to be too much trouble. (Watch out for the Ogmas and Red
Badbh that attack.)

You'll get a Life Recovery S Gem and an EXP S Gem when the northwest
and southwest Jenons are turned to fertilizer.

Now, head west and jump up on a ledge by the Sealed Gate to find the
last Jenon. Watch out for Ogmas that can leap up on the ledge by
this Jenon.

Note: There is an Attack Up S Gem near the south end of the ledge.
       But, four mines will appear if you go near it. Use Crimson
       Carnage to destroy them, or they will begin walking the length
       of the path.

Use this time to build up your Soul Meter when attacking the Jenon.
When the Jenon is destroyed, you'll get an EXP S Gem and some
Phantom Life.

Annihilate!
-----------
But, you're not done yet - a band of Zeodagdas will appear. Destoy
them all to open the gate.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 11: Destroy and Annihilate! (Ogmas, Cannon Zombies, Laser
                                  Zombies, Badbh)
---------------------------------------------------------------

Destroy!
--------
This final open area has a Defense Up S Gem in the center. Grab it!

=== TARGET: TWO JENONS ===

Two Jenons spawn on ledges around the gate. But, before you start to
work on them, take care of the Cannon Zombies that pop up near the
gate.

When attacking the Jenons, get behind them and use them as cover to
avoid attacks form Ogmas. Crimson Carnage away! Build up your Soul
Meter by attacking the Jenons.

You'll get two EXP Gems and some Phantom Life when the Jenons are
destroyed.

Annihilate!
-----------
Now, Cannon Zombies and Laser Zombies will appear around the area.
Also, some Ogmas, Zeodagdas, and a Red Badbh will want to play. You
must destroy them all. Use the ledges if you want and hit them all
with a barrage of Crimson Carnage attacks.

Stay away from the charging Badbh and hit it on its back. Crab any
items that drop.

When the area is clear, the gate will open. Step through it to enter
Delacroix's lair (again) . . .

*=====================================================================*
*///////////////////////* BOSS:  ZOMBIE HORDE*\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\*
*=====================================================================*

What? Delacroix isn't here? That's right. In his place, he has
left a horde of nasties. This battle will go on for quite some time.
There are six phases to this fight in all.

Phase I: Zombie Commander, Zombie Soldiers, Zombie Axmen
--------------------------------------------------------
When the battle begins, the Commander will send his troops after you.
Immediately hit them all with Crimson Carnage. Also, go after the
Commander when you can (so the infantry will weaken). Remember to
keep building up your Soul Meter too.

Note: On each of the four wings connecting to the center of this room
       are Gems. They are three Life Recovery S Gems and one Life
       Recovery L Gem. Pick them up - you're gonna need them.

Be sure not to let the Zombies surround you, or you'll receive a
prompt face-plant. Lead them around the arena, periodically throwing
a Crimson Carnage at them if you must. Grab any items that drop.

Once that's over . . .

Phase II: More Zombie Soldiers and Axmen
-----------------------------------------
More Zombie Soldiers and Axmen will spawn in the center. Crimson
Carnage is your best friend here.

Phase III: Laser Cannons, Zombie Commanders, Zombie Soldiers
-------------------------------------------------------------
Now, a Laser Cannon will spawn in each of the four wings, creating a
crossfire in the center. Use Blasphemy or Malice to dispose of all
the Laser Cannons when you need to. But, they will keep respawning,
so try to focus on the Zombies. Them, go after the Laser Cannons.

Note: The Laser Cannons like to move around, so be careful.

Once you rid the area Zombies, the Laser Cannons will stop
respawning, so you can destroy them.

Phase IV: Golem, Zombie Soldier friends, Laser Cannon
------------------------------------------------------
Next, a bunch of Zombie Soldiers will pop up around a Golem in the
center of the arena. Use Crimson Carnage liberally and watch out
for when the Golem charges or yells. Attack him from behind when
you can.
Keep your Soul Meter close to full as well.

Don't let the Zombie Axmenget close to you. Also, watch out for any
Laser Cannons.

All the enemies in this wave will respawn a few times, including the
Golem, so be ready. Grab any items that drop.

Phase V:  Two Golems
--------------------
After that, two Golems will appear and charge at you from the center.
Stay away from them and hit them with Crimson Carnage attacks. If
you have to, attack from behind, but be careful not to get
sandwiched. (Jump-attacks are effective against the Golems too.)

Also, little Crawlers will appear around the arena. Use Malice to
take care of them if they get annoying. Grab any items that fall.

Phase VI: Holy Cow! (Four Golems, Zombie Solders, Zombie Axmen)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Just when you thought it was over, four (that' right) Golems spawn
in the center along with a bunch of Zombies. I don't need to tell
you to KEEP MOVING. Attack with Crimson Carnage, but be careful.
If you get tripped up at all, you will probably get to become a part
of the pavement.

If you must, jump-attack the Golems but then get out of there. Keep
sending bombs their way and they'll fall. (Grab items like a
klepto!)

When the Golems fall, you'll get Phantom Life and numerous goodies.

===========================
<<<<< THANATOS CHIP 9 >>>>>
===========================

After that madness . . . you're rewarded with the final Thanatos
Chip. It will appear in the center of the arena. (Now, that's
worth it.) Pick it up to get out of here in one piece.

Thanatos a head start on experience. He begins as a baby. You

Gems for every Legion have possess.)

LEVELING UP
-----------
Note: This will require replaying some levels, but, if you go back
       fight some bosses after unlocking the "Alternate World" or
       harder enemies, the bosses might drop EXP XL Gems which are
       worth 5,000,000 EXP. Now that's cool!

~~ LEGION LAYOUT: THANATOS & FLAWED (or whatever you want)~~
-------------------------------------------------------------

This stage is a GREAT stage for Thanatos or any legion to gain EXP!

------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 1: Destroy the Target! (Zombie Soldiers, Cannon, Seedling)
------------------------------------------------------------------

From where Sieg begins in the great hall, some Zombie Soldiers will
attack. Take care of them if you want. Head down either side of the
stairs to reach a Seedling.

=== TARGET: SEEDLING ===

Attack the Seedling while looking out for Zombies that spawn on the
stairs and a Cannon neat the top of the top of the stairs. Use this
time to build up your Soul Meter for Thanatos.

After the Seedling is destroyed, watch out for a new wave of enemies
that attack from the top of the stairs.

=== TARGET: TWO RUDO GARIAS ===

Go back up the stairs to find two Rudo Garias. But watch out because
more Zombie Soldiers and a Cannon Zombie will be up there along with
some Zombie Commanders. Destroy the Cannon Zombie first. Then work
on the Rudo Garias. Pick up any items that appear.

After the Rudo Garias are destroyed, you'll get some Phantom Life.
Now, head north back down the stairs and through the open gate.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 2: Destroy the Target! (Zombie Soldiers, Cannons, Golem, Zombie
                               Commanders)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Immediately after entering this corridor, there will be ledges to
your left and right. If you have Flawed Legion equipped (or if you
leveled it up to Enchant Level 4 using a Spiritual Gem), you can
double-jump up to the ledges to grab a Defense Up S Gem and an Attack
Up S Gem.

Head down the corridor to the end. There you'll find a Golem.

=== TARGET: GOLEM ===

Remember, attack the Golem from behind and watch out for when it
charges. Also, watch out for Cannons raining fire from ledges above.
Zombie Commanders are here as well.

Note: If you can double-jump up to where the cannons are, do it and
       destroy them. It makes this section a whole lot easier. Also,
       if things get hairy, double-jump up to a ledge and with Thanatos
       equipped, stand still to gain life back using its Enchant Level
       3 Healing Factor.

The Zombies will continuously respawn, so focus on the Golem. If you
want, use Thanatos' The Ignorant Masses attack. But, it takes a long
time to fill up 300 Soul Points for Thanatos. But, it is worth it.
