Chaos Legion - Strategy Guide (Page 06)
Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Chaos Legion - Strategy Guide (Page 06).
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 1: Annihilate the Enemy! (Zombie Soldiers, Zombie Commander)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Sieg begins next to some pillars. Next to these, some Mines will
appear. Don't worry about them. Your real problem is straight
ahead.
Go under the pillars to the north to find about six Zombie Soldiers
and a Zombie Commander. (Again, the Commander is red.) The soldiers
will be strong as long as their Commander is around. You must
destroy everything here, but focus on the Zombie Commander when you
can.
Okay, when you first encounter these guys, the Zombie Commander will
send his solders to converge on you. When they do, hit them all with
one good Crimson Carnage attack (level 2 or 3). And then, attack the
soldiers with Sieg as they come down from the air. (Bash everything
to keep your Soul Meter up.)
Watch out - if the soldiers hit you, it does loads of damage. And,
when the Commander charges at you, it can hurt even more. Hit the
Zombie Commander with a few Crimson Carnage attacks and he will go
down.
Note: Just north of here, across a gap, are two Laser Zombies. They
will shoot you from across the chasm. You can't hit them, so
don't try. Just avoid their laser blasts.
When the Zombie Soldiers and Commander are reduced to dust, you'll
get a bunch of Phantom Life. Head east and drop down a few ledges
to pass through the gate into the new area.
-----------------------------------------------------
Scene 2: Destroy the Target! (Jenon, Zombies galore)
-----------------------------------------------------
Through the gate, you'll find a path that bends north and a load of
Zombies. You have such a variety to choose from here! Like, Zombie
Commanders, Zombie Soldiers, Zombie Axmen, and Laser Zombies. You
can fight these guys if you really want to, or you can follow the
path to the target.
If you choose to fight them, use Crimson Carnage to thake them out.
However, they will continue to respawn.
Either way, make your way to the next gate and target. (Watch out
for the two Laser Zombies.)
=== TARGET: JENON ===
This Jenon is the main target. It is surrounded by some mines,
which you'll have to jump over to reach it, and a couple Zombie
Axmen.
When you get to the Jenon, use a couple of Crimson Carnage attacks
on it, and it will go down rather quickly.
Note: Watch out for other enemies and Laser fire that comes in. But,
if you are quick enough, with Crimson Carnage, the Jenon will be
destroyed with relatively no problems.
You will get a lot of Phantom Life and a Defense Up S Gem when you
send the Jenon to oblivion.
Move north through the gate.
------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 3: Annihilate the Enemy! (Zombies, Zombie Commanders)
------------------------------------------------------------
This section is infested with ever more undead! Your job is to
decimate everything. Right away, a bunch of Zombie Soldiers will
dash at you. Jump over them for now and head for the northwest
corner of the path. The Zombie Commander will most likely be here.
(Also, if you immediately go here, you can avoid some annoying laser
fire courtesy of some Laser Zombies perched on a ledge above.)
Now, the Zombie Soldiers and their Commanders will come for you. Try
and get them to form a big group so you can incinerate them all with
Crimson Carnage. Try to keep as many Zombies as you can on their
backs and remember to attack them with Sieg to keep your Soul Meter
charged. (They can all gang up on you here. So, be careful.)
When all the bad guys are wiped out, you'll get Phantom Life. Also,
on a ledge to the North, a Life Recovery S Gem will materialize.
Note: The gem will only appear AFTER you have cleared the area of
enemies.
Now, hop up some ledges to the north and pass through the gate.
------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 4: Blaze a Path! (Zombies. What else would be here?)
------------------------------------------------------------
This next section can get kind of long.
When passing through the gate, you'll find two Zombie Axmen. Turn
right to find two Laser Zombies and some Zombie Soldiers running at
you. Hit the Zombie Soldiers with Crimson Carnage before they get to
you. Then, quickly take care both Laser Zombies the same way. (There
is a Zombie Commander here as well.)
On down the path, you'll notice a small space with a Life Recovery S
Gem. Grab it.
Head on east to find four Zombie Soldiers running at you. Hand them a
Crimson Carnage. (To the North is a Jenon across a gap. Don't worry
about it.) When you turn south, a bunch of Zombies will spawn,
including Laser Zombies on top of a few pillars. The fun consists
of a few Zombie Soldiers, Commanders, and Axmen. You can fight these
guys using Crimson Carnage, or you can just run through them.
When you get to the end of the path, you'll find two Laser Zombies
(the ones that shot at you near the beginning of the stage). Turn
left (east) and jump to a circular area where 3 Danus will sprout.
(Whoa!)
=== TARGET: DANU TRIPLETS ===
Before you take on the three Danus, do this. From the circular area
where they spawn, run north (left) to another circular area with a
pillar in the center. Around this pillar is a Life Recovery S Gem
and a Soul Recovery S Gem. Snatch them up! (There might also be
Zombie Axman or two here. And, some Laser Zombies from across the
way might send some shots whizzing past your ear.)
Okay, now for the Danus. Summon Malice and try to draw one or two
Danus to the circular area with the pillar. Get on the east side of
the pillar to avoid laser fire and lock-on to a Danu. Fire away with
Malice. When one goes down, repeat this process with the remaining
Danus. Just remember to use the pillar as a shield against the Danus.
Note: If a crest gets broken, beat up on Zombies to restore the crest.
You can also switch to Blasphemy Legion and toss (guess what?) a
couple Crimson Carnages at the Danus.
You will get Phantom Soul for beating the Danus. Pick up any items
that have dropped. Now, go southeast through the open gate and jump
up the ledges until the screen swirls and fades. (Checkpoint!)
-----------------------------------------------------
Scene 5: Blaze a Path! (Zombies, Rouge Ogmas . . .)
-----------------------------------------------------
This next section has a few Zombies waiting for you, along with a
Rouge Ogma.
Note: If you find yourself low on Soul Energy, you can use this trick
to build up your meter. Beat a few of the enemies to gain some
Soul Energy. Then, turn around and head back down the stairs
until the screen swirls and fades. You'll end up in the section
from before. Now, jump back up the stairs so the screen swirls
once more. The computer will treat this as a checkpoint, so it
will record your status. If you die, you can choose the "RETRY"
option to be dropped at the midway point with all the Soul
Energy you just gained. Use this trick until you are satisfied.
So, anyway, back to the game. You can fight the Zombies and Rouge
Ogma with Crimson Carnage, or just run past them to the west.
Turn south on the path to find an area where a legion of Zombie
Soldiers will spawn with a couple Laser Canons. Destroy everything
with Crimson Carnage or leap past them and follow the walkway west
again.
Along this path to the west is where your next target will pop up.
=== TARGET: GOLEM ===
See that huge guy with rock-like armor? He's a Golem, and he's out
to get you. He's also brought a few Zombies to help him.
Okay, a Golem is rather slow, but he likes to charge at you. That
can hurt (duh). Try and stay behind him and use a bunch of Crimson
Carnage attacks on him. (Beat up on him with Sieg if your Soul
Meter runs low.)
Note: Sometimes, you can get behind a Golem and constantly hit him
with your sword. He won't be able to get in any attacks, and
you'll build up your Soul Meter.
Also, watch out for attacking Zombies from the east. There are Laser
Canons here as well. Try and stay out of their crossfire, or just
destroy them. Keep an eye out for any items that drop.
You'll get a Defense Up L Gem and Phantom Life for crushing the
Golem. Move through the gate to the north.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 8: Treasure Hunting! (Rudo Garias, Zombies, Rouge Ogmas)
----------------------------------------------------------------
You'll have to drop down a few ledges to continue on your way.
After the ledges, and before the walkway bend left (or west),
you'll notice a high ledge. If you have Flawed Legion equipped,
you can double-jump up to grab an EXP Gem.
===========================
<<<<< THANATOS CHIP 7 >>>>>
===========================
Continue west. Before passing under the bridge ahead, you'll
notice a few ledges to the right (north). Jump up to the top and
step into the circular area.
Once in the circular area, the gate will shut. Get ready, because
a load of Rudo Garias will spawn. Make sure your Soul Meter is
pretty much full. You don't have time to think here - you need to
hit the Rudo Garias with as many Crimson Carnage attacks that you
can as fast as you can. This will incinerate the Rudo Garias and
clear out some space. When the last Rudo Garia goes down, a
Thanatos Chip will appear! (Now, that's worth it!)
After that tight squeeze, jump back down to the path below and
continue west under the bridge.
Immediately after passing under the bridge, a Rouge Ogma and his
Zombie Soldier buddies will drop from above. Two Laser Cannons
will spawn here as well. Take them on or just jump past them and
continue along the path as it bends north.
Ahead, jump up a few ledges to find another gate at the end of a
long path.
=== TARGET: SEEDLING ===
There are Golems here - one at the north end by the gate, and one by
the south end. (He's most likely behind you.) The Golem from the
south might charge at you if you're too close when he spawns, so
watch out!
Take out the Golems first, otherwise they will become very annoying
very fast. Light them aflame with Crimson Carnage. Remember to
constantly stay on the move and attack the Golems from behind so they
miss when they charge.
Avoid any laser blasts from Laser Cannons and dodge any Zombies that
attack. Bash on anything Sieg's blade to keep your Soul Meter up.
You'll get Phantom Life and Phantom Soul when a Golem goes down.
With the Golems no longer posing a threat, head to the gate and
attack the Seedling (with sword or bomb) until it bites the dust.
Zombies will continue to spawn, but just get under Seedling and use
Crimson Carnage to light everything ablaze. The Seedling will soon
be no more.
You will receive Phantom Life and a Life Max Up S Gem for your valiant
effort. Now, pass through the open gate to watch the screen swirl and
fade. I smell a . . .
*=====================================================================*
*////////////////////////* BOSS: GIL VOLVOR *\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\*
*=====================================================================*
Remember Volvor from Stage 7? This is his big brother.
The basic strategy is the same here. Four Zombie soldiers will spawn
at a time (and continuously do so) around the arena. You must fight
them or just jump over them constantly to avoid them.
Gil Volvor has a protective shield you must obliterate to expose his
weak spots. But, Gil Volvor floats just out of reach, so you must
wait for him to crash into the ledge. When he does, though, he'll
send a shockwave through the ground. Jump over the shockwave then
lock-on to Gil Volvor. Summon Malive and commence with the target
practice. Shoot Gil Volvor until he moves away from the ledge just
out of reach. (You can also attack him Sieg while he is close
enough.)
Note: You can continue to blast Gil Volvor with Malice even when he is
away from the ledge.
Unsummon Malice so they don't get hit by Zombies or a shockwave.
Then, keep Gil Volvor on your screen at all times so you know when
he is about to crash into the ground, sending a shockwave your way.
Just repeat this process until his protective barrier is dust.
After you destroy his shield, you'll see three orbs - his weak spots.
Look familiar? Now, after he crashes into the ledge, sending the
shockwave, he'll start shooting lasers. Start at one side of the
arena and run to the other so as not to get sniped by laser blasts.
Now, summon Malice and focus on his weak spots. You can use Malice's
Sniper ability here too (just make sure you don't get steamrolled by
the charging Zombie Soldiers. Sieg can use jump attack to hit the
orbs as well.
Again, the attack order is this:
Shockwave
Laser Blast
Open For Pummeling (Yay!)
If for some reason your legion crest gets shattered, beat up on some
Zombies to restore it. You'll receive a Spiritual Gem when you send
Gil Volvor to the beyond.

~~ LEGION LAYOUT: MALICE & BLASPHEMY (or any that need EXP) ~~
---------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 1: Destroy the Target! (Zombie Soldiers, Laser Zombie, Cannon)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
=== TARGET: SEEDLING ===
Sieg begins in an area with Zombie Soldiers. On a ledge ahead of him
is a Laser Zombie and two Cannons. To the north around this ledge,
you'll find the target, a seedling. A Soul Recovery S Gem will also
be there. Zombie Soldiers will attack - either summon Blasphemy or
use Crimson Carnage to dispose of them. Use Crimson Carnage on the
Seedling as well, if you can.
Note: You can knock that Laser Zombie off the ledge so can't hit you
anymore.
You'll have to jump-attack the Seedling. But, if enough Zombies are
around you, use Crimson Carnage. This will set all the enemies all
well as the Seedling on fire.
When you jump-attack the Seedling, jump across and keep moving back
and forth to lessen the chances of being hit. You'll get a Phantom
Life and an Attack Up S Gem for destroying the Seedling.
Now there are two gates in this area. Once you dispose of the
Seedling the northwest gate will open. If you want to move on
ahead, pass through it and skip down to "Scene 3" in this
walkthrough.
If you want to pick up an Attack Up S Gem, keep reading.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 2 (OPTIONAL): Destroy the Target! (Rudo Garia, Zombies, Golem)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a Rudo Garia guarding the Northeast Gate. Destroy his
shield (and him) with a few Crimson Carnage attacks, and the gate
will open.
Step through it to a small circular area, and it will close behind
you.
=== TARGET: GOLEM ===
You're going to have to work for that Attack Up S Gem! A Golem will
appear, with a few Zombie Soldier cohorts.
Focus on the Golem by attacking him from behind, so you don't get
flattened when he charges at you. Use a few Crimson Carnage attacks
to keep all the Zombie Soldiers at bay. Attack the Golem with your
sword to build up your Soul Meter.
When the Golem crumbles to rubble, the gate will open, and you'll
receive Phantom Life and a Life Recovery S Gem. Grab the Attack Up
S Gem before you leave.
Okay, pass through the Northeast gate into a wide open area.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 3: Destroy the Target! (Zombies, Rudo Garias, Seedlings, Jenon)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you destroyed the Rudo Garia and Golem in Scene 2, you can enter
this new area and go west down the stairs in one uninterupted stride.
Otherwise, you must contend with some Zombie Soldiers and Laser
Zombies.
In any case, head down the stairs to find a Laser Zombie. Round the
corner and head east down the new flight of stairs to an open area
below. (Beware a Laser Zombie and two Canons firing at you from a
ledge to the north.)
Keep going east and drop off a ledge to a narrow path below where
Zombie Soldiers will spawn. Turning south, you'll find a Rudo Garia
guarding a small entrance. Fight him or slip past him to get to a
space with a Life Max Up S Gem.
Now, head north along this path, fight off Zombie Soldiers. The
ground will dip down here. Seedlings are all over this area. They
are decoy targets. Don't worry about them. To the northwest are
some ledges. Jump all the way up (past the Seedlings) to reach a
slim walkway at the top. Facing north, you'll find a Rudo Garia
guarding a Jenon.
=== TARGET: JENON ===
Along this path, yet more Zombies will appear. Dash past the Rudo
Garia and get behind the Jenon at the end of the walkway. Focus on
attacking it. Use a few Crimson Carnage attacks to keep any smaller
adversaries from leaking through to where you are. (Watch out for
any laser blasts coming from the Laser Zombies or Cannons to the
south.) Use the Jenon as a shield against attacks. Try also to
fill up your Soul Meter for the next area while bashing the Jenon.
When the Jenon is reduced to fertilizer, you'll only get Phantom
Life. But the gate will open. Jump up on the ledge to the east
to pass through.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 4: Oh no . . . (Golem, Zombies, Jenons, Seedling, Cannons)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
If you thought this was getting easy, just wait until you taste
this next part. It tastes like a Golem (yuck), two Jenons
(crunchy), and a Zombies, Laser Zombies, and Cannons
(yummy . . .).
=== TARGET: SEEDLING & GOLEM ===
Okay, since the Golem is going to be a pain, focus on him first.
Pound him with a load of Crimson Carnage attacks. Remember to
maneuver around and attack his back. Get away when he charges or
does a weird yelling attack where he sticks his arms in the air.
Also, attack him to build up your soul meter.
Watch out for laser blasts from the Laser Zombies and Cannons.
You can use Malice to quickly dispose of the Cannons.
When the Golem goes down, you'll get a Life Recovery S Gem and
some Phantom Life.
Now, concentrate on the Seedling. Take out the Cannons with
Crimson Carnage or Malice. (You may want to obliterate the
Jenons as well, so the enemies don't respawn and become
frighteningly annoying. (You'll get Life Recovery S Gems or
EXP Gems for destroying the Jenons.)
When attacking the Seedling, use jump-attacks. You'll get a
Life Max Up S Gem when the Seedling bites the dust.
Note: You can also head straight for the Seedling. That way, the
Golem will follw, and you can hit everything at once with
Crimson Carnage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 5: Annihilate the Enemy! (Laser Zombies, Zombie Soldiers)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
In this next area, four alter-like structures will surround a
Defense Up S Gem. On these alters, Laser Zombies will pop up.
Zombie Soldiers will also want to play.
You must destroy everything. Attack the Laser Zombies and use
Crimson Carnage or summon Blasphemy. When you take out a couple
Laser Zombies, use the alters as cover from the other Laser
Zombies until you can get to them. (Remember to work on building
up your Soul Meter for the next scene.)
When you send all the badies away, the screen will swirl and
fade. (Checkpoint!)
-------------------------------------------------
Scene 6: Destroy the Target! (Everything . . .)
-------------------------------------------------
This scene is LONG! It's like a bad infomercial that won't go
away when you've lost the remote.
=== TARGET: JENON ===
Okay, ahead of you is a wide open space. In the center is Jenon.
But, first, you must contend with a row of Zombie Soldiers. Kick
a bomb at them with Blasphemy's Crimson Carnage. Surrounding the
Jenon are Red Archanus. They are fast. Lock-on (if you want) to
the Jenon and summon Malice. Now, walk around in a circle,
around the Jenon. This will destroy a few of the Archanus. But
they keep respawning.
If your legions get shattered, beat up on some Zombie Soldiers to
restore them.
When you attack the Jenon, run in and get a couple swipes of your
sword with Sieg then get out of there so enemies don't gang up on
you. Then, use your legions to destroy some of the smaller
enemies. Repeat this process. I don't need to tell you to look
out for items that materialize.
Also, an effective method is to in and just use Crimson Carnage
on the Jenon. This will also destroy any enemies that come
nearby. Use the Jenon as cover as you kick bombs into it and
any nearby enemies.
You will get an Attack Up S Gem and Phantom Life when the Jenon
is destroyed.
=== TARGET: CANNON ZOMBIE ===
But, you're not finished yet. The Archanus may vaporize, however,
about five Laser Zombies will appear, and they'll bring some more
Zombie Soldiers.
The Zombie closest to the gate is your main target. (I suggest
locking-on to him to always know where he is.) His gun looks
more like a cannon or a rocket launcher. So, I'll call him a
Cannon Zombie. He fires blue energy bursts that float slowly
but stun you if they hit you.
Now, move around constantly to avoid laser fire. But, when you
get close to your target, use a few Crimson Carnage attacks.
(If the enemies get clumped together, one bomb will set them
all on fire.) You can also just summon Blasphemy and run by
each enemy you want to hit. Remember to keep your Soul Meter
up.
He'll go down fairly quickly after a few Crimson Carnage
attacks. You'll get some Phantom Life.
=== TARGET: FOUR CANNON ZOMBIES ===
But wait, there's more!! Now, four Cannon Zombies will spawn
in a circle, well, more of a square actually. More Zombies
will appear in the center of the area.
Run around the perimeter, taking out one Cannon Zombie at a
time. Use a Crimson Carnage on each Laser Zombie if you can.
But, don't stay in one spot for too long, or you'll get
blasted by cannon fire and bulldozed by Zombies.
If you have to, just use one Crimson Carnage when you get to
a Cannon Zombie, or only attack each one a little bit and then
continue on to the next Cannon Zombie. This process is slower,
but it is a bit safer. This method will also make Zombie
Soldiers follow behind you in a sort of Conga-line. (Just
make sure you stay ahead of them, or scorch them all with a
quick Crimson Carnage.
You will get Phantom Soul for every Cannon Zombie you destroy.
And, when all the Cannon Zombies are gone, you'll get a bunch
of Phantom Life.
=== TARGET: GOLEM ===
And just when you thought this wonderful deal was over, they
toss in a Golem absolutely free!!
Okay, the Golem is protected by some Zombie Soldiers and four
Laser Zombies that continuously respawn. Run in and use
Crimson Carnage to quickly wipe some of the Zombies out.
Now, Lock-on to the Golem so you can focus on him. Attack
him from behind and keep kicking explosives at him with
Crimson Carnage. But stay on the move - you don't want to
get hit by laser fire. Try and draw the Golem away from the
Laser Zombies. If you destroy the Laser Zombies, they WILL
NOT respawn, so take them out, if you can, before they get
annoying.
You'll receive Phantom Life and a Life Recovery S Gem for
disposing of the Golem.
=== TARGET: VERGE ZAGAN ===
When will the wonderful deal end? Okay, a cutscene shows
the gate opening, but before you can squeeze though, a Verge
Zagan stomps into the ring. Archanus will spawn around him
as well. Use Malice to destroy them quickly.
This is just like fighting him before. His weak spot is his
neck. He likes to charge about the arena and swipe you with
his claw or tail.
Lock-on to him, so you can keep tabs on him - then, summon
Malice and shoot his neck or use Blasphemy's Crimson Carnage
on him. (If you need to build up your Soul Meter, get Sieg
to attack him.) Be sure to get out of there before he attacks
or if you see him gearing up to charge.
Just zip in and quickly hit him (preferably with a bomb to the
face) and then get out. Hit him from a distance with Malice.
If the above strategy proves to be too hard, summon Malice and
move about the arena, shooting everything that moves.
And when the Verge Zagan is finally destroyed, you'll get
Phantom Soul and a Defense Up L Gem.
Whew!! That's finally over. Step through the gate to the north.
(Or limp through if you're, well, never mind . . .)
------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 7: Destroy the Target! (Seedling, Zombies, Archanus)
------------------------------------------------------------
Follow the walkway as it bends east. You'll come to a gate where
a Seedling will spawn along with his friends Archanus and Zombie
Soldiers. There are some Cannon Zombies here as well.
=== TARGET: SEEDLING ===
Use Crimson Carnage to knock some smaller enemies down first. Then
head for the seedling. Use jump-attacks and jump every which
direction when attacking the Seedling so enemies will have a harder
time hitting you. When they all clump together under the Seedling,
use a frenzy of Crimson Carnage attacks to light everything on
fire. Pick up items that drop.
Note: You might want to dispose of the Laser Zombies first or knock
some to the ledge below so their marksmanship doesn't get on
your nerves.
If you get a lot of zombies on the ground, you can perform
Blasphemy's Enchant ability Airblaze (left analog stick + attack
button while jumping).
You'll receive Phantom Life and an EXP S Gem when the Seedling is
destroyed.
Okay, before heading through the gate, turn around and take the
path that drops down (southern-most path). Jump down some ledges
and pick up a Defense Up S Gem. Now, hop back up to the gate and
slip through.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene 8: Destroy the Target! (Seedling, Laser Zombies, Cannon
Zombies, Archanus, Zombie Soldiers)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Part I: Destroy the Target!
=== TARGET: THREE SEEDLINGS ===
This next section has two pillars near the center. And, along with
that, some Laser Zombies are guarding three Seedlings. Again, run
in and use Crimson Carnage to dispose of as many Laser Zombies as
you can. Take out some Zombie Soldiers as well.
When you jump attack the Seedlings, again, jump across in many
different directions so enemies will have a hard time hitting you.
I suggest disposing of the Seedlings to the sides of the gate first
and then dispatching the one in front of the gate last.
Watch out for Red Archanus zipping around the area! Also, look out
for blue bursts that come from Cannon Zombies. These stun Sieg.
You'll get Phantom Life and a Life Recovery S Gem when the North
(left) Seedling is destroyed and Phantom Life only for South
Seedling.
As you destroy each Seedling, the number of enemies will deminish.
When you attack the final by the gate, there will be three Cannon
Zombies. Use Crimson Carnage to dispose of them if you want, but
