7. EXPERT MODE
******************************************************************************

The concept behind Expert Mode is basically playing five songs straight, one 
after another.  You select your game, style, and modifiers as normal.  There 
are five beatmania courses and ten IIDX courses, but the latter five you have 
to unlock by unlocking all songs in Free Mode.

Also, in the case of the IIDX courses, there are three difficulties, Light, 
Standard, and Heavy.

Light (LGT) - For the first five courses on Single, all songs are on Beginner 
 difficulty.  For the second five courses and for all on Doubles, all songs 
 are on Normal difficulty.

Standard (STD) - For the first five courses on Single, all songs are on Normal 
 difficulty.  For the second five courses and for all Doubles, all songs are 
 on Hyper difficulty.

Heavy (HVY) - For the first five courses on Single, all songs are on Hyper 
 difficulty.  For the second five courses and for all Doubles, all songs are 
 on Another difficulty, unless they don't have an Another, in which case 
 they'll be Hyper.

The Groove Gauge in this mode is altered.  You begin at 100%.  It's tougher to 
increase the bar, and I think it goes down a little easier, too.  To pass the 
songs, all you have to do is avoid having your Groove Gauge run out 
completely.  If it runs out at any time, you immediately fail the course.

Scoring for this mode uses the traditional IIDX "EX Score", where you get 
2 points for every Perfect, 1 point for every Great, and nothing for anything 
else.

Once you finish the course, you'll log your name and be given an Internet 
Ranking password, which you can use to track your score against others online.

In addition to the listed courses, you can also compile your own set using 
the "Original Course" setting.
