This section takes you through the very basic aspects of the game such as
the main menu, controls, and teams. Nearly everything in this section can
be found in the manual, so it's more or less dedicated to those who don't
have access to one. Hope it comes in handy!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
~ Main Menu [B101]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Quick Game
 ----------
The Quick Game allows you to get straight into a match without having to
go through the menus. Match settings will be based on your current
Exhibition Match Set-Up. Stadiums and Teams will be selected randomly
from those you currently have unlocked.

 Exhibition
 ----------
The Exhibition Match allows you to play a game between any two teams
 that are currently unlocked.

 Challenge Mode
 --------------
The aim of Challenge Mode is to score as many points as possible by
playing football. Precise passing, solid defending and of course,
scoring goals will all add to your points total. Poor passing, fouling and
conceding goals will all detract from your points total.
Scoring enough points to win a medal will allow you to enter your name
on the respective challenge mode's high-score table and will unlock the
next challenge. Excpetional performance in the later challenges will
 unlock some secret prizes.

 Cups
 ----
Choose from six International cups and one Euro club cup. To enter a cup
you must first unlock a team by buying it with your tokens. Buying a team
will unlock that team in any cup competitions that is eligible to play in
and also all other game modes. Spend your tokens wisely as you will only
be able to obtain more tokens by winning cups.

Before and after each cup match, the Cup Homage will be displayed
where you can check your progress, make tactical changes, simulate
matches and view player performance statistics.

If you have not enabled auto saving you must manually save your cup
 progress from the Options Menu.

As with Challenge Mode, exceptional performance in various Cups will
 Unlock some secret prizes.

 Multiplayer
 -----------
Selecting multiplayer from the Main Menu will display a list of users in
your vicinity who are also in that menu. Challenges can be made or
accepted by selecting the relevant username.

Upon entering this menu you will already have been assigned a team,
so be sure to select Team Selection if you want to change your team
before making or accepting a challenge.

Selecting a username will display a history of your performance statistics
against that user. In order to store this information you must play
multiplayer matches with a Memory Stick Duo inserted.

 Options
 -------
The Player Selection option allows you to toggle between Automatic and
Manual player selection. If you choose Manual player selection, you will
have to press the X button when in-game to select the player nearest the
ball. If you choose Automatic player selection, you will automatically be
given control over the nearest player to the ball.

The Camera option lets you choose how you view the match. Select from
 Near, Medium or Far.

The Audio option allows you to alter the volume for commentary, sounds
 effects (SFX) and menu music.

The Display Menu allows you to customise the look of the game screen
during the match. Toggling Clock, Score and Player Names ON or OFF will
either display or not display these information boxes on-screen. If you
turn Automatic Replay OFF, then you will not see replays after goals. If
you do not want to see Statistics such as shots on target appearing
occasionally, then turn Statistics OFF. Turning Radar ON will display a
miniature representation of the pitch and the players' positions, so that
you can see exactly where your team mates are standing, even when they
 are not visible on-screen.

The Profiles menu allows you to Create of Load a Profile. You can also
switch Auto Save on or off.

The save option is to be used if you are not utilising the Auto Save
feature and you wish to save any changes that you have made to the Options
 or progress.

The Menu Skin option allows you to personalise the colour of the menus
to numerous types of classic football team colours.
