Welcome to my Memories Off Complete (MOC) FAQ. Memories Off Complete is
an import game for the Sega Dreamcast. MOC was released on June 29,
2000 in Japan, and retails for 6800 yen. It was created by Kindle
Imagine Develop (KID).

MOC also came out for the Playstation (PSX), under the name Memories Off,
on September 30, 1999. According to one of my sources the gameplay and even
the game dialogue are almost exactly the same. The only differences are
that in the Dreamcast (DC) version there are additional Computer
Graphics (CG) that show up in the Memories Album. There are also 2
additional modes found only in the DC version. The Quiz and Pure Omake
options are a DC exclusive. This FAQ may be used for the Playstation
version of Memories Off, but it is strictly based on the Dreamcast version.
There is also a prequel for MOC on the Neogeo Pocket Color
(NGPC), called Memories Off Pure, that came out in April 2000.
The Pure Mode contains the whole NGPC Memories Off Pure game, and
new CGs. Memories Off Complete is a complete collection of both
the PSX version and the NGPC version.
MOC is a very good romance simulation. It hits the heart in many
situations, making it one of the best games I have played in awhile. I've
been playing the game since its release only two weeks ago, so another
update
is coming when I get new relevant information.

You are Tomoya Mikami, a 17 year old 2nd year student at a private
school called Sumi Sora Gakuen. Autumn brings some sadness when you
think about Ayaka, a close friend/girlfriend who passed away. Its hard
to continue on. However, Autumn also brings a new year at school where
changes and meeting new people are inevitable.
Your goal as Tomoya is to move on with your life. Stop feeling sorry
for yourself and thinking in the past. You will never forget your MEMORIES
OF(F) Ayaka, but its about time to start making some new memories...

The Conrol Layout is as follows
=During normal Gameplay=
Analog/D-Pad Controller: Use it to highlight objects during selection
Start buttion: Used to Fast Forward Dialogue and Scenes you have
encountered already. Very useful! When prompted to make a decision,
pressing start will confirm your choice
X Button: Used to bring up the Option Menu (See section IV, for further
detals about the Option Menu)
Y Buttion: Used to bring up a log of dialogue during the game, useful
if you missed something and want to back track storyline.
A Button: Used to progress Dialogue during the game, also used to
confirm your choice selection when prompted
B Button: Used to Cancel the Option Menu, the log, and option menus
when opened
L Trigger: Used to hide the dialogue window, useful for screen
captures!
R Trigger: Used to fast forward dialogue also, but not as fast as the
start button

When you press start at the opening screen the following Menu items are
available
=NEWGAME - starts a new game
=CONTINUE- continue a previous saved game
=OMAKE - view the special features

This may be the last time we can meet (Ending Vocal)
-OPENING
This part of the Omake will allow viewing of the Memories Off Complete
introduction whenever you want. Its available after beating the game
with Yue only.
-PURE MODE: Play the Neogeo Pocket game on the DC, brand new Album
pictures. Pure Mode is opened when you defeat the game with all 5
regular characters. To ensure Pure Mode Opened I finished the game in
this order Yue, Minamo, Kaoru, Kiyomi, then last Shion. Man I feel ripped
off now, well, its kinda nice to have Ayaka and Yue in my pocket :)
-QUIZ This is an original DC addition. Ayaka will ask you some
questions
OPTION MENU during Gameplay (X Button)
The Option command is rather nifty as it goes back from Japanese to
English.
In order
-SEEBU/SAVE = Save a game up to 30 games for the 18 blocks of memory!
-ROODO/LOAD = Load a game
-SAUNDO/SOUND = Brings up the Sound Config screen where you can adjust
BGM, Voice and SE Volume. Toggling Mono/Stereo is also available.
-HINTO/HINT = On/Off. SCENARIO NAVIGATION SYSTEM
This is a nifty little tool which will help you navigate throughout
the game.
A SuperDeformed (SD) version of the girl will tell you if the choice
selected is a good one or a bad one. It also makes the game easy, so
I would suggest it turned off, unless you are totally baffled
SD Descriptions:
-AYAKA GOOD= Ayaka's hands will be clapping
BAD = Ayaka's eyes will be closed and she will be blowing a
bubble.
-YUE GOOD= Yue's eyes are closed with both fists clenched up and
smiling rocking back and fourth
BAD = Yue stands there motionless staring into the sky
-MINAMO GOOD= Minamo's hands are out front opening and closing, with her
eyes and mouth opening and closing and head nodding
BAD = Minamo's hands are out waving with her head shaking
-KAORU GOOD= Kaoru will give you a thumbs up with her right eye closed
BAD = Karou will have her left eye and mouth opening and closing
with arms crossed over her cheast
-KOYOMI GOOD= Koyomi will have her hands held together with eyes closed
and smiling
BAD = Koyomi will be looking down with a sad face
-SHION GOOD= Shion will be reading a book, holding the book far away
with only her right hand
BAD = Shion will be reading a book, holding the book with her
right hand and flipping the pages with the left hand
-GEEMU O YAMERO/EXIT GAME = Exits the game back to the main menu, The
game will prompt you for a confirmation hai/iee

In Memories Off Complete you take over the role of Tomoya Mikami.
Memories Off Complete takes place from 10/1 - to a variable end. The
period from 10/1 - 10/15 is generally the interactive portion of the game,
where you meet the girls, and converse with them. From 10/16 forward, is
basically only dating scenes featuring a single girl. Who you date is based
upon the dialogue and decisions made from 10/1-10/15.

-There are variances on weekends and other holidays.
During each part of the day there will be many interactions with characters
and you will converse with them. Every once in a while you will have to
make
a choice on what to say, or where to go, or what to do. Depending on what
you
choose to do or say will decide your fate. The goal of the game is to find
a
new love for the good ending. The default “bad ending” is the sad Ayaka
"Kore kara mo zutto...isshou da yo ne." Ending.
Avoid this ending like the plague cause its a tear jerker!

The Hero of the story. He’s basically a nice 2nd year HS student trying
to move on and not feel guilty. His parents are away for awhile so he gets
the house to himself.
F. Shin Inaho
Your friend and classmate. He’s like the ultimate buddy. In other
dating simulations your friend is usually also your rival. Shin is a great
friend who happens to stay away from the chicks.

A. HINTS
Before Jumping into the advanced walkthrough section I would like to give
some General Hints
-Use the Hint Scenario Navication System as a basis, but don't rely on
it
solely
-Press the start button to skip text
-Save Often - You have 30 files per VMU!
-Play the game with Yue as a goal first, about 70 % of the First half
Dialogue is with Yue, so it will save some time to have gone through her
scenario first
-Press the Y button if you missed text
Character Hints
-Yue - stay away from the other girls, time off from them is time with
Yue return to the Class Room during intermissions and Lunch, ride home
together
-Minamo - visit the hospital room during intermissions and lunch,
tutor
and teach her things
-Shion - visit the library often during intermissons/lunch/afterschool,
Shion is usually always there
-Kaoru - visit the rooftop during lunch/intermissions/after school,
teach her, and study together
-Koyomi - Offer Koyomi help the 2 days she asks and you are basically in
otherwise go to the bakery for lunch
B. SECRETS
If you pop in the Memories Off Complete GD Rom disk into a cd rom of a PC
2 pictures of Yue can be viewed.
Omake1.bmp is a huge 6.8 Megabyte image. The image features the Memories
Off Complete cover's artwork, extended to Yue's Skirt. Very nice for
printing!
Omake2.bmp is a smaller 768k image of Yue with a beautiful celestial
background.

These walkthroughs are designed to get Tomoya a good ending, where you
and end up with the girl you are after. However, there are some
variances in the game which will provide some missing album pictures.
In future editions of this FAQ, I will provide walkthroughs to get all
the pictures, just give me some time...also, the default “bad ending” is
memories of Ayaka...
PURE MODE allows a semi happy ending with Ayaka, please refer to my
NEOGEO POCKET COLOR FAQ for complete walkthroughs for PURE MODE.

There are some various quotes taken directly from the game to add to
some of the drama :). I did Shion's events last so her ending is very
detailed. On an updated version I will get more specific, yea yea Kaoru
doesn't even have anything in it :)
If the walkthrough does not say who you are talking to either you are
talking
to the girl you are chasing or you are talking or thinking to yourself.
Alot
of the missing Ayaka and Yue pictures will come directly from the Pure
Album.
The romanizations are not perfect, but close enough :P. Kanji characters
have
multiple and different pronunciations. Some idioms are culturally based and
I
simply do not have enough Japanese exposure to correctly phrase them. And
lastly I don't have a romaji spell checker so...figure it out.
