- FAQ Release

*AUTHOR'S NOTE*
  Now I added locations for the final Pokemon. So there's at least 1
location per Pokemon! Also here I will be putting my Pokedex status,
and my current high scores for both Fields. I will update this after
each FAQ revision, so look here often.
  Since there's not much more info I can add, I have stopped updating
it, but you can still send me any questions you have. I will only
update this again if I get a bunch of info to add. Someone has
confirmed the Mew code, so you don't have to worry about it not
working.

My Pokedex Status: 95/100

My High Scores:
Red Field - 2,734,170,300
Blue Field - 1,444,259,500

-------
Bonuses
-------
These are the bonuses you can earn if you can get the pinball into the
Bonus Cave when it's open. The more you access the Bonus Cave, the
better the bonuses you can earn.

Small: Get 100 - 900 points.

Catch 'em Mode Start: Starts the Catch 'em Mode.

Ball Saver: Starts the Ball Saver under the flippers. The Ball Saver
will last 30, 60, or 90 seconds depending on what the picture says.

Ball Upgrade: Upgrades the pinball by 1 level.

Bonus Multiplier: The number on the bonus tells you how much it
increases the current Bonus Multiplier.

Big: Get 1,000,000 - 9,000,000 points.

Evolution Mode Start: Starts Evolution Mode.

Super PIKACHU Kickback: Activates both PIKACHU Kickbacks for the left
and right flippers. The Kickbacks will last as long as you don't lose
the current pinball.

Extra Ball: Gives you an extra ball.

Go To Bonus: Takes you to the Bonus Stage shown on the picture. If
you're playing the Red Field, you can access the DIGLETT / GENGAR /
MEWTWO Bonus Stages. On the Blue Field, you can go to the MEOWTH /
SEEL / MEWTWO stages.

----------------
Pinball Upgrades
----------------
To upgrade your pinball by 1 level, light up all 3 Field Multiplier
Lanes (Those 3 dots at the top of the field) or get the Ball Upgrade
bonus from the Slots. After 1 minute, the ball goes back down by 1
level. Here are the levels:

#1 - Poke Ball (Red): 1x Field Multiplier
#2 - Great Ball (Blue): 2x Field Multiplier
#3 - Ultra Ball (Yellow): 3x Field Multiplier
#4 - Master Ball (Purple): 5x Field Multiplier

3) FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
==============================
This section gives answers for the most commonly asked questions for
the game. If you have anything more for me to add to this section,
please e-mail me.

Q: When I pick a Pokemon to evolve, what does the star mean?
A: The star by a Pokemon's name means that the Pokemon cannot evolve
any further.

Q: Does Pokemon Pinball work with the original Game Boy?
A: Yes, it works on both Game Boy and Game Boy Color. But it's
"optimized" for GBC.

Q: What does the lightning symbol on the bottom of the screen mean?
A: The symbol will appear after you fill up the Thunder Meter. When it
is on, a Pikachu will do a PIKACHU Kickback if the pinball lands him.

Q: Is it possible to get Mew?
A: From what I know, yes. Unlike Pokemon Red/Blue, there doesn't seem
to be 5 million "codes" to get him.

Q: How do I access some of the Bonus Stages?
A: In order to get to the SEEL and GENGAR stages, you need to beat the
DIGLETT and MEOWTH bonus stages.

Q: How do I catch some of the "rare" Pokemon?
A: Since they're rare, they don't appear often. You can do one of two
to get them. One is to keep trying, and the other way is to light up
all 3 G, E, and T letters. The second method works betters, but do the
first one if you don't want to waste your time lighting them all up.

Q: How do I reach certain places such as Safari Zone?
A: This is probably the most common question for the game, so listen
up. There are 3 "areas" in each Field in the game and this is what
they are:

---------
Red Field
---------
Area #1
1. Pallet Town
2. Viridian Forest
3. Pewter City
4. Cerulean City
5. Vermilion City - Seaside
6. Rock Mountain
7. Lavender Town

Area #2
1. Cycling Road
2. Safari Zone
3. Seafoam Islands
4. Cinnabar Island

Area #3
1. Indigo Plateau

----------
Blue Field
----------
Area #1
1. Viridian City
2. Viridian Forest
3. Mt. Moon
4. Cerulean City
5. Vermilion City - Streets
6. Rock Mountain
7. Celadon City

Area #2
1. Fuchsia City
2. Safari Zone
3. Saffron City
4. Cinnabar Island

Area #3
1. Indigo Plateau

Ok, so now you know the areas. When you first start a game on a Field,
you randomly choose a starting place from Area #1. Now, do a Map Mode
move. This will take you to another place from Area #1. Do yet another
one to go to another place from Area #1. Once you do a Map Mode move
for the 3rd time, you go to a place from Area #2. Do another one for
another place in Area #2. Do a Map Mode move for the 5th time to reach
Indigo Plateau. Still don't understand? Here's a chart that explains
the same thing:

Area #1 (Starting Point) -->
Area #1 (1st Map Move) -->
Area #1 (2nd Map Move) -->
Area #2 (3rd Map Move) -->
Area #2 (4th Map Move) -->
Area #3 (5th Map Move)

4) BONUS STAGES
================
This section describes the objectives and scoring on each Bonus Stage.

And here's how each one will look:

---------------------------------------------------------------------

---------
??? Stage
---------
Time Limit: The time limit of the bonus stage.
Pinball Amount: The amount of Pinballs you have for the stage.

Objective: What you have to do to beat the bonus stage.

Scoring: Tells you what you can hit and how many points you get for
hitting it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE: To access the MEWTWO Stage, complete both bonus stages on the
field (DIGLETT/GENGAR or MEOWTH/SEEL). The next bonus stage will be
Mewtwo's.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Both Field Bonus Stages
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

------------
MEWTWO Stage
------------
Time Limit: 2:00
Pinball Amount: N/A

Objective: Mewtwo sits in his pod with black shields rotating around
him. Because of these shields, it will be harder to hit him. You can
tell when Mewtwo is getting weak when you see him doing a different
animation. This stage is very difficult, so don't expect to beat the
first time.

Scoring:
Shield - 1,000,000
Mewtwo - 50,000,000

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Red Field Bonus Stages
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

-------------
DIGLETT Stage
-------------
Time Limit: N/A
Pinball Amount: 1

Objective: Defeat all of the 31 Digletts. I find this stage easier if
you just hit Left and A rapidly. Once they're taken care of, a Dugtrio
will pop out. Hit them 3 times to complete the stage.

Scoring:
Diglett - 1,000,000
Dugtrio - 50,000,000

------------
GENGAR Stage
------------
Time Limit: 1:30
Pinball Amount: N/A

Objective: When you start, 3 Gastlys will appear. Hit each one a bunch
of times, and 2 Haunters appear. Defeat them to make Gengar appear.
Every step Gengar takes will shake the entire field, so this will make
it a pain to hit him.

Scoring:
Head Stone - 1,000
Gastly - 1,000,000
Haunter - 5,000,000
Gengar - 50,000,000

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blue Field Bonus Stages
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

------------
MEOWTH Stage
------------
Time Limit: 1:00
Pinball Amount: N/A

Objective: Collect 20 Gold Coins. Hit Meowth 1 time, and he'll lose a
Gold Coin. If you collect a couple of Gold Coins quickly, the amount
of coins you get from them will increase for a short period of time.
If you can get them quickly, you should be able to beat the stage with
some time left over. Use this leftover time to gain more points.

Scoring:
Meowth - 10,000
Gold Coin - 1,000,000

----------
SEEL Stage
----------
Time Limit: 1:30
Pinball Amount: N/A

Objective: Get the counter at the top of the screen at 20. When Seel
pops its head out of the water, hit it. Like the Gold Coins with
Meowth, if you hit them quick enough, the hits will increase more on
the counter.

Scoring:
Seel - 1,000,000

6) CATCHING / EVOLVING POKEMON
===============================
This section explains on how to catch and evolve Pokemon on the Red
and Blue Fields. Even though catching/evolving is almost the same on
both Fields, there are a few differences (Which is why I put 2 methods
for catching/evolving).

----------------
Catching Pokemon
----------------

Red Field:
1. Get the pinball to go the whole way around the right loop. Each
time it goes through to the loop, it will light a Catch 'em Arrow.
2. Once you get at least 2 Catch 'em Arrows lit, shoot the pinball
into the Bellsprout. This will start the Catch 'em Mode.
3. There will be a silhouette of the Pokemon you can catch on the
Pokemon Panel, and you have 2 minutes to catch it. Launch the ball at
the Voltorbs. Each time you hit a Voltorb, it reveals 1/6 of the
picture. 6 hits will reveal the whole thing.
4. Once you complete step #3, the Pokemon will appear. Hit the Pokemon
3 times to reveal the word "CATCH!" (In the Japanese version, it was
the word "GET").
5. Now hit the creature 1 more time to capture it.

Blue Field:
1. Get the pinball to go the whole way around the right loop. Each
time it goes through to the loop, it will light a Catch 'em Arrow.
2. Once you get at least 2 Catch 'em Arrows lit, shoot the pinball
into the Cloyster. This will start the Catch 'em Mode.
3. There will be a silhouette of the Pokemon you can catch on the
Pokemon Panel, and you have 2 minutes to catch it. Launch the ball at
the Shellders. Each time you hit a Shellder, it reveals 1/6 of the
picture. 6 hits will reveal the whole thing.
4. Once you complete step #3, the Pokemon will appear. Hit the Pokemon
3 times to reveal the word "CATCH!".
5. Now hit the creature 1 more time to capture it.

----------------
Evolving Pokemon
----------------

Red Field:
1. Get the pinball to go through the Left Outside Loop. Each time the
ball goes the whole way around, it lights an Evolution Arrow.
2. Once you get 3 Evolution Arrows lit, Ditto will move out of the
path to the Evolution Cave. Shoot the ball into the hole he blocked.
3. A menu will appear with the list of Pokemon you've caught so far in
the game you're currently playing (So it doesn't bring up a list of
all of your Pokemon in the Pokedex). If there's a star in front of a
Pokemon's name, it means that it is at its highest evolution stage.
4. Once you pick one to evolve, a bunch of green arrows will appear on
various locations on the field. Some contain the item you are looking
for, but some do not contain anything.
5. If you hit a correct location, the item will appear in a random
location on the field. Collect it, and a symbol will appear under the
Pokemon Panel.
6. Collect the 3 items to open the Bonus Cave above the Pokemon Panel.
Shoot the ball into that hole to evolve it.

Blue Field:
1. Get the pinball to go through the Left Loop. Each time the ball
goes the whole way around, it lights an Evolution Arrow.
2. Once you get 3 Evolution Arrows lit, shoot the ball into the
Slowpoke to start the Evolution Mode.
