Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Yoshi's Island - Strategy Guide (Page 17).
When the first Lava Drop moves down, walk to the right side of the platform to
avoid the second Lava Drop, and then move over to the left side of the platform
to avoid the third Lava Drop. Stay at the left side of the platform to collect
the red coin, and duck to avoid the first horizontally moving Lava Drop. Move
over to the right side of the platform and duck to avoid the final Lava Drop on
the track. Jump left at the top of the track to pass through the middle ring.
Jump over the gap to the path on the right, and drop off the right side of the
path to land on the red platform near the circular track. Jump onto any of the
four yellow platforms circling the track, and shoot the hidden winged cloud
near the bottom-left corner of the fluff to receive five stars. Ride the
platform to the top-right corner of the fluff, and shoot an egg at the left
side of the right Snifit to reveal a key.
Collect the key, and continue to ride the platform. At the top of the track,
jump up to land on the red platform, and jump over to the steps on the left.
Run to the top of the steps, and continue left along the platform to the hut.
Press up to enter the hut for a bonus game. After exiting the hut, run down the
steps, jump down to the platform on the right, and jump right to the steps. Run
up to the top of the steps and continue right to exit the second area.
After arriving in the third area, run through the paddles on the right and
collect the first Super Star. Jump over the ledge on the right and run along
the path to the egg plant up on the platform. Stand under the egg plant until
Yoshi has six eggs, and then shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal the
flower. Stomp any of the Bandits that drop down from the platforms, and then
jump up to collect the fourth flower.
- Flower 5 -
Jump up the small step on the right, and hover right over the blue thorns to
the ledge on the other side. Hover right and land on the steps above the
Bandit. Run left up to the top of the steps, and collect the red coin above the
path. Jump over to the steps on the right and jump up to the path at the top.
Drop down the big step, and run right down the steps to the path at the bottom.
Run left along the path, and stand under the Paddles near the Bandit. When the
Paddles open, shoot an egg up to collect the fifth flower.
Jump up to the steps on the right, and run left to the top. Jump over to the
platform on the right and eat the Spiked Fun Guy, and then jump to the path on
the right. Jump over the gap to the platform on the right, and eat the Potted
Spiked Fun Guy. Stomp the Bandit on the right, and then jump right to land on
the red platform above the six coins. Jump up the step on the right, and hover
over the Potted Spiked Fun Guy and the Bandit to the steps on the other side.
Drop off the end of the steps, and run through the paddles on the left. Jump
over the gap to the path on the left, and jump to the top of the pipe. Shoot an
egg at the winged cloud to receive five stars, and shoot another egg to collect
the two middle red coins in the set of six coins. Go down the pipe. After
arriving in the fourth area, jump to the path on the right and run down the two
steps to the goal path. Jump through the goal ring to complete the level.

Flower 1 - In the first area, at the top-left corner of the section with the
four green rotating platforms.
Flower 2 - In the second area, ride the second red and yellow to the
circular track at the end. When the platform moves up, jump up to
find the flower.
Flower 3 - In the fluff above the second egg block in the second area.
Flower 4 - Shoot the winged cloud before the blue thorns, near the start of
the third area.
Flower 5 - Above a set of paddles at the left side of the second egg plant
in the third area.
2 Red Coins - In the first area, above the number platforms near the end of the
second Shark Chomp chase.
3 Red Coins - Ride the second green rotating platform in the first area, and
jump onto the platform with the number '4' on it. Jump up the
platforms above to find three Fly Guys, each holding a red coin.

2 Red Coins - There are fourteen coins near the first yellow platform in the
second area. The left and right coins in the middle line are red
coins.
2 Red Coins - Ride the first red and yellow platform in the second area.
2 Red Coins - Shortly after the first egg block in the second area, ride the
blue spiral platform right to find the red coins.
1 Red Coin - In the fluff below the third flower.
1 Red Coin - In the second area, this red coin is the at the far left side of
the coin trail shortly before the third red and yellow platform.
1 Red Coin - At the top of the fourth vertical line of coins shortly before
the middle ring in the second area.
1 Red Coin - There are eight coins at the top of the first set of steps in the
third area. The coin in the second line is the red coin.
2 Red Coins - There are six coins above the pipe at the end of the third area.
The third and fourth coins in the line are red coins.
10 Stars - Pass through the middle ring near the end of the first area.
10 Stars - Pass through the middle ring near the end of the second area.
5 Stars - Near the end of the second area, shoot the hidden winged cloud at
the bottom-left corner of the fluff.
5 Stars - Shoot the winged cloud on the other side of the paddles shortly
after the fifth flower.
5 Stars - Shoot the winged cloud above the pipe at the end of the third
area.
Key - Near the end of the second area, shoot the hidden winged cloud in
the fluff at the left side of the right Snifit.

- Walkthrough -

- Flower 1 -
Run right at the start of the level and jump off the end of the path to hit the
metamorphosis bubble. After transforming into the helicopter, fly right to
collect the red coin, and follow the line of coins right. Fly up at the end of
the coins to avoid Kamek, and collect the first flower after the set of five
coins. Continue right to hit the second metamorphis bubble. Fly down slightly,
and follow the line of coins right to collect the red coin and hit the third
metamorphis bubble.
- Flower 2 -
Quickly fly up to avoid the two Skeleton Goonies, and follow the line of coins
right to collect the red coin. When Kamek appears on the left, fly down to the
next line of coins, and then fly down to the right side of the Skeleton Goonie
to collect the second flower. Hit the Yoshi block above the path to transform
into Yoshi, jump through the middle ring, and go through the blue doors on the
right to exit the first area.
- Flower 3 -
After arriving in the second area, run right along the path and drop down the
step to land near the egg plant. Stand near the egg plant until Yoshi has six
eggs, and then shoot an egg up at any of the four rotating doors above. One of
the four doors will drop. Go through the doors.
Door 1 - After arriving in the third area, run right along the tunnel and eat
the Shy Guy near the winged cloud. Shoot an egg up at the winged cloud
to receive a 1UP, and then jump to the step on the right. When the
second ball and chain is horizontal, quickly jump over to the small
platform on the right and duck.
When the ball and chain has passed, jump up to the path on the right,
and drop down off the right side of the path to land on the ledge
above the lava. When the ball and chain on the right has raised, jump
and hover to the path at the right side of the lava. Jump up to
collect the third flower, and then run under the next two ball and
chains to the first pink vertically moving platform.
Door 2 - After arriving in the first section of the third area, jump up to the
platform above and collect the middle two red coins above the two Shy
Guys on Stilts. Jump up to the path on the right, and drop down the
big step. Hover right over the Shy Guys on Stilts to collect the two
red coins, and run right along the next path.
Drop down off the right side of the path, and eat the Woozy Guys. When
Yoshi has six eggs, jump over to the other side of the Dancing Spear
Guys, and shoot five eggs at the Support Ghost. Jump up to the set of
five coins to collect the two red coins at the top, and then jump over
the Support Ghost. Go through the blue doors on the right.
After arriving in the second section of the third area, jump down to
the path on the left, and drop down to the horizontally moving
platform. Jump left to the next platform, and then jump over to the
vertically moving platform. Jump up to collect the third flower at the
top-left corner of the area, and then jump back across the platforms
to the start point of the section.
Door 3 - After arriving in the first section of the third area, jump up to
collect the six red coins, and then go down the pipe at the right side
of the room. After arriving in the second section of the third area,
Tap-Tap the Golden will appear on the right, and will follow you
through the area. If he gets too close, shoot an egg at him.
Run left up the slope in the path, and stand near the egg plant at the
top of the slope until Yoshi has six eggs. Run down the small slope on
the left, and jump over the lava to the path on the other side. Run
along the path, and jump left over the gap at the bottom of the slope.
Continue left along the path, and run down the next big slope. At the
bottom of the slope, shoot an egg left to collect the third flower.
Door 4 - After arriving in the third area, run right along the path to collect
the six red coins and the third flower.
- Flower 4 -
Door 1 - Jump over to the third platform on the right, and wait for the ball
and chain to pass. When it does, quickly shoot two eggs down and right
to destroy the blocks. Drop into the gap and duck to avoid the ball
and chain, and then jump up through the gap on the right to land near
the red switch. Jump on the red switch, and run right over the blocks
to collect the four red coins.
Drop down to the see-saw platform on the right, and jump up to collect
the six red coins. Run over to the right side of the platform to
create a slope leading up to the left. Run up the slope and jump left
at the top to collect the fourth flower. Drop back down to the see-saw
platform, and stand at the left side of the platform to create a slope
leading up to the right. Run up to the top of the slope and jump right
to land on the path. Go through the blue doors.
Door 2 - Run right along the path and jump up the small step to land near the
Stretch. Eat the Stretch, and jump up to the path on the right. Run to
the far right side of the path, and eat the Spear Guy when he faces
right. Jump over the two gaps on the right, and jump up to the top-
right corner of the area to collect the fourth flower. Jump over the
two gaps on the left, and jump left to the high bridge. Run to the
left side of the bridge to collect two red coins, and go up the pipe.
After arriving in the third section of the third area, drop down off
the left side of the pipe and collect the two red coins under the egg
plant. Jump on top of the pipe, and hover right to collect the two red
coins near the middle of the line of ten coins. Stomp the jelly block
so that it stretches over the spikes on the right, and then jump right
to land on the ledge. Drop down off the right side of the ledge to
land on the jelly block, and continue right along the path to the egg
plant. Jump up to the platform at the left side of the egg plant, and
then jump up to the path on the left. Go through the blue doors.
After arriving in the fourth section of the third area, jump up to the
platform above, and walk left to find Salvo the Slime. Shoot eggs to
defeat Salvo the Slime, and collect the key that is dropped. Drop off
the right side of the path, and go through the blue doors on the left.
After returning to the third section of the third area, drop down to
the path on the right, and stand under the egg plant until Yoshi has
six eggs. Go through the blue doors on the right.
Door 3 - Jump over the gap to the path on the other side, and jump up the two
big steps on the left. Continue left over the path, and jump left over
the lava to land on the next path. Run down to the bottom of the slope
on the left, and wait for Tap-Tap the Golden to jump into the gap.
Jump over the gap to the path on the left, and jump over the lava to
the next path.
Run down to the bottom of the big slope on the left, and jump over to
the left side of the gap. Shoot an egg down and right to collect the
fourth flower, and then jump up the two big steps on the left. Go up
the pipe. After arriving in the third section of the third area, eat
both Shy Guys and collect the six red coins that drop. Go through the
blue doors.
Door 4 - Jump over the moving blocks, and run right along the path on the other
side to collect the fourth flower. Run right to collect the six red
coins, and jump up to eat the two Fly Guys holding the 1UPs. Continue
right to exit the third area.
- Flower 5 -
After arriving in the fourth area, run right, and Kamek will appear on the
highest set of blocks. Jump over the magic that he shoots, and then jump over
the blocks to the path on the other side. Jump up to collect the single red
coin at the right side of the high platform, and then jump up to the top of the
blocks on the right. Hover right to collect the red coin at the left side of
the platform, and then drop down to the path on the right.
Continue right, avoiding Kamek's magic when he appears, and jump over the tall
ledge to the path on the other side. There will be a red coin up on the middle
of three blocks. Shoot an egg up to collect the red coin, and jump up the small
step on the right. Drop down to the path on the right to land near the flower.
Jump through the middle ring on the right, and then shoot an egg up and left to
collect the two red coins and the fifth flower. Continue right along the path,
and go through the red doors.
- Boss Fight 12: King Bowser -
Part 1 - At the start of the boss fight, Bowser will jump up and stomp. Jump
over Bowser's wave, and stomp to send a wave toward Bowser. Hit Bowser
with three waves to win the first part of the boss fight.
Part 2 - Bowser will rise in the distance, and will roar, causing rocks to fly
up. Run anywhere on the path except where the red arrows are pointing
to avoid the rocks that drop. At this point, Baron Von Zeppelins will
begin to float across the area holding large eggs. Jump up to collect
the eggs, and shoot them at Bowser's head. Hit Bowser six times to
win the boss fight.

1UP - At the end of the second area, go through door number 1. In the
third area, shoot the first winged cloud on the right for the
1UP.
1UP * 2 - At the end of the second area, go through door number 4. Two Fly
Guys holding 1UPs appear at the end of the area.
Flower 1 - In the first area, shortly before the second metamorphosis
bubble.
Flower 2 - Before the Yoshi Block near the end of the first area.
Flower 3 - At the end of the second area, go through door number 1. The
flower can be found on the right side of the first spiked ball.
- At the end of the second area, go through door number 2. In the
second section of this area, the flower can be found at the top-
left corner.
- At the end of the second area, go through door number 3. In the
second section of this area, the flower can be found in the first
gap after the big slope.
- At the end of the second area, go through door number 4. Run
right at the start of the level to find the flower.
Flower 4 - At the end of the second area, go through door number 1. The
flower can be found above the left side of the see-saw platform.
- At the end of the second area, go through door number 2. In the
second section of this area, the flower can be found after the
Spear Guy at the top-right corner.
- At the end of the second area, go through door number 3. In the
second section of this area, the flower can be found in the final
gap.
- At the end of the second area, go through door number 4. This
flower can be found after the moving blocks near the end of the
area.
Flower 5 - On a platform before the middle ring near the end of the fourth
area.
1 Red Coin - In the first area, at the start of the coin trail after the first
metamorphosis bubble.
2 Red Coins - In the first area, in the coin trails after the second and third
metamorphosis bubbles.
2 Red Coins - At the end of the second area, go through door number 1. There is
a red coin above the first and third vertically moving platform.
4 Red Coins - At the end of the second area, go through door number 1. These
coins are above the red switch blocks before the see-saw
platform.
6 Red Coins - At the end of the second area, go through door number 1. These
coins are above the see-saw platform near the end of the area.
2 Red Coins - At the end of the second area, go through door number 2. There
are four coins above the Shy Guys on Stilts at the start of this
area. The second and third coins in the line are red coins.
2 Red Coins - At the end of the second area, go through door number 2. There
are five coins above the Dancing Spear Guys near the start of the
area. The top two coins in the set are red coins.
2 Red Coins - At the end of the second area, go through door number 2. There
are five coins near the blue doors at the end of the first

- Flower 1 -
Run right at the start of the level and jump up the three steps to land near
the first Support Ghost in the area. Eat Shy Guys until Yoshi has six eggs, and
shoot four eggs at the Support Ghost. Folow the Support Ghost right along the
tunnel, and jump up to the platform to collect the first flower. Jump up to the
platform above, and jump right to collect the two red coins in the line of five
coins. Jump up to the platform on the right, and jump up the three steps to
land near the second Support Ghost.
- Flower 2 -
Shoot six eggs at the Support Ghost, and then hover right to collect the two
red coins above the blob. Run right along the path and jump up the two
platforms, and then run down the two steps on the right. Jump up the next step
on the right, and continue right to the third Support Ghost. Shoot two eggs
right, and then jump up to the platform above the left side of the Support
Ghost. Go through the blue doors.
After arriving in the second area, run up the steep slope on the right and eat
the Shy Guy at the top. Jump over to the rolling platform, and collect the
right two red coins on the middle of the platform. Jump over to the slope on
the right, and shoot an egg up at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Pass
through the paddles on the right, and run up to the top of the slope.
Jump onto the rolling platform, and collect the second and fourth coins on the
middle of the platform. Jump down to the path on the right, and eat the two Shy
Guys. Pass through the paddles, and shoot an egg up at the winged cloud to
receive five stars. Run up to the top of the steep slope, and jump onto the
rolling platform below the blue thorns. Roll off the platform, and hover left
to an area below the slope.
Collect the middle line of three coins, and jump up to the ledge on the right.
Hover right over the spikes to the bottom tunnel, and run right to collect the
second flower. Jump up to the platform above and run left to collect two red
coins. Jump up to the next platform, and use the large spring ball to bounce up
to the platform high above. Jump through the middle ring on the left, and then
go through the blue doors on the right.
- Flower 3 -
After arriving in the third area, jump up to the big step on the right, and
then jump over to the first green platform. Hover right to the first yellow
platform, and hold down as the platform moves up to avoid the blue thorns. Jump
right to the second yellow platform to collect the two red cons, and then hover
right to the red and yellow platform. Ride the platform up to the top of the
track, and jump left to land on the green platform.
When the platform moves down, jump left over the blue thorns to land on the 'H'
shaped track. Hold down as the platform moves up to duck under the blue thorns,
and jump left to the green platform on the 'S' shaped track to collect the
third flower. Hover left to the platform on the 'Y' shaped track, and then jump
left over the blue thorns to the path near the egg block. Hit the egg block to
refill the egg supply, and then jump onto the red and yellow platform.
- Flower 4 -
Stand on the left side of the platform, and ride the platform to the blue
thorns. Jump up to the green platform, and then jump over to the far left
yellow platform. Ride the yellow platform to the top of the track, and jump up
to land on the green platform. Jump to the green platform on the right, and
then jump to the middle yellow platform.
Shoot an egg up to hit the Dangling Ghost, and then jump left to land on the
green platform. Ride the green platfrom up to the top of the track, and jump
right to pass through the middle ring. Shoot an egg up at the winged cloud on
the left for five stars, and then jump on the green platform. Ride the green
platform to exit the third area.
After arriving in the fourth area, stand on the middle of the platform and hold
down to avoid being hit off the platform by the eggs. At the top of the track,
jump left to collect the fourth flower, and then jump right over the gap to the
red platform. Go through the pipe on the right.
- Flower 5 -
After arriving in the fifth area, drop down to the pipe at the bottom of the
area, and go down the pipe. After arriving in the sixth area, jump up and stomp
down through the fluff to land on the red bridge at the bottom of the area.
Stomp the four Green Gloves that land on the bridge, shoot the winged cloud up
on the left for five stars, and shoot an egg up and right to collect the fifth
flower. Drop off the left side of the bridge, and go through the pipe.
After arriving in the seventh area, stomp through the fluff to land on the red
and yellow platform. Stand on the right side of the platform, and ride the
platform to collect five red coins. After landing on the goal path, jump
through the goal ring to complete the level.

fifth coins above the fluffy ceiling. The rest are red coins.
5 Coins - After arriving in the second area, run left through the hidden
tunnel to collect these coins.
1 Coin - After arriving in the second area, run left through the hidden
tunnel to arrive in an area with an expansion block. Hit the
block, and then jump up from the top of it to collect a single
coin.
4 Coins - There are 2 coins at either side of the first junction in the
second area.
7 Coins - Leading right from the second middle ring to the exit of the
tunnel.
2 Coins - In the vertical tunnel just before the Metamorphosis Bubble, jump
from the small spring ball to collect the coins above.

under the first hidden tunnel section to collect these coins.

8 Coins - As a helicopter, the first group of coins after the first hidden
tunnel.
8 Coins - As a helicopter, the second group of coins after the first hidden
tunnel. These coins lead down and right.
5 Coins - As a helicopter, after collecting the second group of coins, fly
straight down to land on a path with the five coins.
6 Coins - As a helicopter, these are the final group of coins before the
Yoshi Block, and are just below the island with the arrows
pointing down and right.
7 Coins - Going down the slope at the right side of the Yoshi Block.
5 Coins - If you have 30 stars, shoot an egg at the winged cloud in the
final area of the level to receive these coins.
20 Coins - 20 red coins.

2 Coins - In the first fluffy wall in the cave.
4 Coins - Over the Nipper Plant pit just right of the fluffy wall.
4 Coins - Near the end of the Paranipper Plant area, there are three coins
each side of a ledge. Four of the coins are normal.
1 Coin - After the fluffy ceiling near the end of the cave, there are
three posts. Shoot an egg half-way down the first post to find
this coin.
80 Coins - Above the see-saw platform in the secret area.
12 Coins - Up on the right platform in the secret area.
12 Coins - Up on the left platform in the secret area.
6 Coins - In the cave with the final flower.
20 Coins - 20 red coins.
