Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Yoshi's Island - Strategy Guide (Page 15).
After arriving in the third area, ski along the platforms and drop down the
five steps. Jump right from the fifth step to land on the log for the red coin,
and then jump up to the next log on the right for the next red coin. Jump right
off the second log platform to collect the third flower, and then drop off the
right side of the platform to land on the cloud. Jump near the right side of
the cloud to collect the three red coins at the start of the platforms. Ski
right along the platforms to exit the third area.
- Flower 4 -
After arriving in the fourth area, ski down the steep slope and drop off the
end to fall down to the first metamorphosis bubble. Touch the bubble to
transform into a helicopter, and fly up to collect the red coin at the right
side of the set of seven coins. Continue to fly up, and collect the red coin
above the second Green Glove and the third Green Glove. Fly left after passing
the third Green Glove, and collect the fourth flower below the small cloud.
- Flower 5 -
Fly down and touch the metamorphosis bubble, and then fly left to the Green
Gloves at the left side of the area. Collect the red coin above the second and
third Green Glove. Continue to fly up, and touch the metamorphosis bubble above
the fourth Green Glove. Fly up and right over the path with the six red arrows
pointing right. Fly down after passing the path to avoid the Bumpty, and then
fly up after the Bumpty to fly over a ledge.
Fly under the wall on the other side of the ledge, and then fly up over the
next ledge. Fly under the next wall, and then fly up to collect the fifth
flower. Continue right and hit the Yoshi block at the left side of the path.
After transfroming into Yoshi, run right along the path to exit the fourth
area. After arriving in the fifth area, run right and jump through the goal
ring to complete the level.

5 Stars - Shoot the winged cloud above the second red switch.
10 Stars - Pass through the middle ring at the start of the second area.

- Walkthrough -

- Flower 1 -
Run right at the start of the level and jump up the red steps to the path at
the top. Stay near the start of the path and eat the two Flightless Skeleton
Goonies that move left, and then run right down the slope. About half-way down
the slope, hover jump right to collect the two red coins above the Spear Guys.
On the other side of the Spear Guys, run right and drop down to the next path.
Hover jump right from the end of the path and collect the first flower above
the Dancing Spear Guys. Continue to hover right to land on the next path.
- Flower 2 -
Jump up to the next path, and hit the two yellow egg blocks. Collect the yellow
eggs, and then shoot an egg up at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Drop
down to the next path on the right, and run right to the top of the slope. When
the Spear Guy on the right walks to the right edge of the platform, shoot an
egg to hit him off the edge of the platform. Hover right over to the platform,
collecting the red coin in the middle of the set of three coins along the way.
Jump up to reveal a winged cloud, and then shoot the winged cloud to reveal a
red switch. Jump on the red switch, and jump over to the path on the left.
Press down above the red arrow to exit the first area. After arriving in the
secret area, jump left to land on the yellow platform, and ride it along the
track to collect the coins. Ride the platform to the end of the track to exit
the secret area.
After returning to the first area, jump up to the path on the right, and then
hover left to collect the red coin above the right side of the platform. Land
on the platform, and then jump back to the path on the right. Jump up the step
to the next path on the right, and hit the egg block to refill the egg supply.
Shoot the winged cloud up on the right to create a bridge across the gap, and
then jump onto the bridge.
Jump over the Dancing Spear Guy under the middle of the bridge, and then run
across to the other side of the bridge. On the other side of the first bridge,
jump over the Spear Guy and shoot the winged cloud up on the right to create a
second bridge. Jump over the Dancing Spear Guy in the middle of the bridge and
the Spear Guy at the right side of the bridge, and shoot the next winged cloud
to create the third bridge in the area.
Jump over the Dancing Spear Guy, and jump off the right side of the bridge to
land on the path. Jump off the right side of the path to land on the log
platform, and walk right. Eat the Flamer Guy that bounces toward you from the
right, and jump off the right side of the platform to land on the path with the
two Zeus Guys. Shoot fire to defeat both Zeus Guys, and then jump up to the
path with the red arrow at the top of the steps.
Run right down the slope in the path, and eat the Shy Guys that appear from the
pipe until Yoshi has six eggs. Drop down off the right side of the path to land
on the pipe, and shoot an egg off the wall above the spikes on the right to
collect both red coins. Shoot an egg at the right winged cloud to create a
bridge above the spikes, and then shoot the left winged cloud to receive five
stars. Drop down off the pipe, and continue right to exit the first area.
After arriving in the second area, run right along the path and pass through
the middle ring in the tunnel. Run right after exiting the tunnel, and use the
platform above the right side of the path to jump up to the next path. Wait at
the top of the slope until the Chomp creates the gap, and then run down to the
bottom of the slope. Jump over the gap to collect the two red coins, and run up
to the top of the slope.
Drop down to the path on the right, and run into the first tunnel. Wait for the
Chomps to create two gaps on the right, and then jump over the first gap to
collect two red coins. Jump over the second gap, and run up to the top of the
slope in the path. Jump the next two gaps, and eat the Solo Toady that floats
left near the start of the path. Run to the next gap on the right, and shoot an
egg down to collect the second flower.
- Flower 3 -
Jump to the small section of path on the right side of the gap created by the
Chomp, and then jump over the next big gap to the path on the other side. Drop
down off the right side of the path, and land on the Zeus Guy below. Collect
the red coin in the middle of the set of three coins, and then jump over the
next gap to land near a crate. Hover right over the next gap, and hold right to
push the crate into the tunnel.
Land in the tunnel at the left side of the crate, and push the crate right to
the wider area of the tunnel. Stomp the crate to receive six stars, and then
run right to collect two red coins in the line of five coins. Jump up to the
yellow platform at the right side of the tunnel, and jump over the gap to the
path on the right. Jump over the next gap and pass through the paddles at the
start of the path.
On the other side of the paddles, jump up to the platform on the right to
collect the red coin, and then jump to the platform on the left. Eat the Solo
Toady, and jump right to land on the small sloped path. When the Chomp drops
down the gap, hover jump over the gap and land on the path at the right side of
the Zeus Guy. Jump up to the ledge on the right, and jump right to land on the
sloped path on the other side of the gap.
Run to the top of the slope, and shoot an egg down and right to collect the
third flower. Jump over the next two gaps, and jump up to the ledge at the left
side of the gap. Eat the Solo Toady, and wait for the Chomp to drop down the
gap. Jump over the gap, drop off the right side of the path, and continue right
to exit the second area.
- Flower 4 -
After arriving in the third area, pass through the middle ring on the right,
and jump up the small step to the next path. Run right under the three Skeleton
Goonies, and stand near the egg plant at the top of the slope until Yoshi has
six eggs. Drop down to the path on the right, and face left. Shoot an egg down
and left to collect the fourth flower at the left side of the spikes, and then
jump over the big gap on the right.
- Flower 5 -
On the other side of the gap, jump up to collect the two red coins above the
middle of the path, and jump over the next big gap to the ledge on the other
side. Drop down off the right side of the ledge and eat the Flightless Skeleton
Goonie running about on the path. Hit the egg block to refill the egg supply,
and then jump up to the ledge at the right side of the path. Jump up to the
steps above the ledge, and run right.
About half-way up the steps, face left and shoot the winged cloud to reveal a
key. Jump to the top of the egg block on the left to collect the key, and then
jump down to the ledge on the right. Jump over the gap to the small section of
path, and stomp the post on the right twice. Shoot the winged cloud up on the
right to create a bridge across the gap, and then shoot the winged cloud up on
the left to create a beanstalk.
Climb up to the highest leaf of the beanstalk, and jump up to the platform
above. Enter the hut and play the bonus game. After exiting the hut, pass
through the paddles on the left and run down to the bottom of the steps. Drop
down to the ledge at the right side of the path, and then jump over the two
gaps on the right to land on the path under the two winged clouds.
Jump over the ledge on the right to land near the large spring ball. Bounce
from the large spring ball, and follow the trail of coins to the red coins to
the three red coins near the Pirahna Plant. Hover over the Pirahna Plant and
land on the yellow platform at the left side of the tunnel. Drop off the right
side of the ledge to collect the fifth flower. Pass through the paddles on the
left, and drop down the yellow platforms to the path below.
Hit the egg block on the left to refill the egg supply, and then hover over the
spikes on the right. Quickly shoot an egg up to defeat the Blow Hard, and then
jump over the next gap. Jump over the first Tap-Tap and land on the red and
yellow platform at the right side of the Solo Toady. Hover over the second Tap-
Tap on the right, and land on the vertically moving platform near the two
Pirahna Plants.
Shoot an egg right to defeat the Pirahna Plant, and then hover jump through the
gap to the path on the other side. Run right to the top of the slope in the
path, and shoot an egg down and right to defeat the two Tap-Taps on the path.
Jump over the gap to land on the path, and then hover jump right. Follow the
trail of coins to collect the red coin, and pass through the goal ring to
complete the level.

1UP - Bounce from the large spring ball in the third area, and hover to
the tunnel under the Pirahna Plant. Run right to reveal a winged
cloud. Shoot the winged cloud for the 1UP.
Flower 1 - Above the first set of Dancing Spear Guys in the first area.
Flower 2 - In a gap shortly after the first Solo Toady in the second area.
Flower 3 - In a gap near the end of the second area.
Flower 4 - Above some spikes under the first egg plant in the third area.
Flower 5 - Bounce from the large spring ball in the third area, and hover
over the Pirahna Plant to the yellow platform. Drop down to the
path on the right to collect the flower.
2 Red Coins - Above the first set of Dancing Spear Guys in the first area.
2 Red Coins - There are two sets of three coins above the second set of Dancing
Spear Guys in the first area. The middle coin in each set is a
red coin.
2 Red Coins - There are two sets of three coins above the spikes after the
first two Zeus Guys in the first area. There is a red coin at the
left side of the first set, and the right side of the second set.
2 Red Coins - There are four coins near the start of the second area. The
bottom coins in the set are red coins.
2 Red Coins - In the second area, there are three sets of four coins shortly
before the second flower. The red coins are at the top of the
second set of coins.
1 Red Coin - There are three coins above the first Zeus Guy in the second
area. The middle coin in the line is the red coin.
2 Red Coins - In the second area, push the crate through the tunnel shortly
after the second flower. In the wider area of the tunnel, run
right to find the red coins.
1 Red Coin - After passing through the paddles in the second area, jump up to
the right platform near the Solo Toady to find the red coin.
2 Red Coins - Above the path shortly after the fourth flower.
3 Red Coins - Bounce from the large spring ball in the third area, and follow
the trail of coins to find the red coins near the Pirahna Plant.
1 Red Coin - In the third area, near the end of the final trail of coins
before the goal ring.
5 Stars - Near the start of the first area, shoot the winged cloud between
the two yellow egg blocks.
5 Stars - In the first area, shoot the left winged cloud above the spikes
after the first two Zeus Guys.
10 Stars - Pass through the middle ring at the start of the second area.
6 Stars - In the second area, push the crate through the tunnel shortly
after the second flower. In the wider area of the tunnel, stomp
the crate for the stars.
10 Stars - Pass through the middle ring at the start of the third area.
Key - Go up the steps above the egg block in the third area, and shoot
the winged cloud on the left to reveal the key.

- Flower 1 -
Run right at the start of the level and eat the Boo Guy on top of the second
set of mushrooms. Run right up the small slope in the path and stomp the Bandit
at the top. Shoot the winged cloud up on the right to receive five stars, and
then eat the Boo Guy above the set of mushrooms. Jump down to the ledge on the
right and eat the red coin that the Coin Bandit is holding, and then jump right
to collect the red coin in the set of five coins. Jump over the lava to the
ledge, and jump right to collect the next red coin at the right side of the set
of five coins.
After landing on the blue mushrooms, jump up to collect the middle red coin at
the left side of the egg block, and hit the egg block to refill the egg supply.
Run right to the final set of three coins above the blue mushrooms, and jump up
to collect the middle red coin. Run down the path on the right and eat the red
coin that the Coin Bandit holds. Stomp the Bandit that the Baron Von Zeppelin
drops, and then shoot the winged cloud above the mushroom to reveal the flower.
Jump up to the mushroom, and then jump up to collect the first flower.
- Flower 2 -
Drop down off the right side of the mushroom, and shoot an egg up at the winged
cloud after the bucket to receive five stars. Jump to the ledge on the right,
and then jump over to the top of the first mushroom. Jump right to land on the
third mushroom, and then drop down the mushroom on the right. When the three
Lava Drops move right, quickly jump right to the next mushroom to collect the
red coin, and then jump left to the third mushroom.
Hover right from the third mushroom, and land on the mushroom on the other side
of the three Lava Drops. When the Lava Drop on the right moves down, jump over
the gap to land near the egg block on the other side. Jump over to the path on
the right, and shoot an egg up and right to collect the second flower. Walk
near the fluff, and the top Zeus Guy will create a gap. When he drops off the
left side of the fluff, jump into the gap and run through to the other side.
- Flower 3 -
Drop down off the right side of the fluff to land on the path, and jump right
to land on the red and yellow horizontally moving platform. Quickly shoot an
egg up and right to hit the Fly Guy holding the 1UP, and then jump right to
land on the pink vertically moving platform. Jump down to the path on the
right, shoot an egg up at the winged cloud to receive five stars, and then
continue right along the path to exit the first area.
After arriving in the second area, run right and jump through the middle ring.
Jump up to the ledge on the right, and then hover to the ledge above the start
point of the area. Run left along the ledge to reveal a winged cloud, and shoot
the winged cloud to receive five stars. Jump back down to the ledge on the
right, and then jump over the next three gaps to the highest ledge. Drop off
the right side of the ledge, and run left to collect the red coin. Jump up to
the path on the right and hit the egg block to refill the egg supply.
Drop down to the path on the right. Eat the Little Skull Mouser, and run left
to collect two red coins. Jump up to the path on the right, and jump right to
land on top of the fluff. Stomp down the right side of the fluff to reveal a
winged cloud, and then shoot the winged cloud to receive five stars. Drop down
the gap, eat the Little Skull Mouser, and shoot an egg through the gap on the
left to collect the third flower.
- Flower 4 -
Jump up through the gap and land on the path on the right. Jump off the right
side of the path and stomp the Slugger at the left side of the sloped path.
Jump over the Chomp Rock as it rolls down the slope, and then stomp the Slugger
at the top of the slope. Drop down the three big steps on the right, and
continue right to the five coins at the right side of the egg block. Jump up to
collect the middle red coin, stomp the Bandit that was dropped by the Baron Von
Zeppelin, and then jump up to the path on the right.
After landing on the path, quickly shoot an egg up and right to hit the first
Blow Hard. Drop down to the path below, and collect the middle red coin below
the Blow Hard. Jump up the big step to the next path on the right, and quickly
shoot an egg right to hit the second Blow Hard. Shoot an egg up and right to
hit the winged cloud above the Blow Hard, and then jump right to collect the
fourth flower.
- Flower 5 -
Jump down to the first platform on the right, and jump up to collect the middle
red coin. When the Lava Drop moves down, jump over to the next platform on the
right. Wait for the next Lava Drop to move down, and then jump right to land on
the steps. Jump up to the top of the steps, and then jump right to land on the
path near the egg block. When the Green Glove starts walking right, quickly run
through the tunnel and jump up to the gap on the left to reveal a winged cloud.
Duck to avoid the Needlenose, and then shoot the winged cloud to receive five
stars. Drop out of the gap and stomp the Green Glove below, and then quickly
shoot an egg right to hit the Wild Ptooie Pirahna. Jump over the first Wild
Ptooie Pirahna, and run right to the tunnel below the second Wild Ptooie
Pirahna. Eat the Little Skull Mouser which bounces along to the left, and shoot
the winged cloud up on the right for five stars.
Continue right and jump up to the ledge at the right side of the path. Collect
the left red coin in the set of four coins, and then drop off the right side of
the ledge to land on the path below. Run through the first low tunnel, and jump
up to the middle tunnel on the right. Jump up to the high tunnel on the left to
reveal a winged cloud, and then shoot the winged cloud for five stars.
Drop down to the middle tunnel on the right, and then jump up to the next high
gap on the left. Shoot the winged cloud for a 1UP, and then drop down to the
path below. Eat the Little Skull Mouser, run through the tunnel on the right,
and shoot an egg up to hit the Wild Ptooie Pirahna. Collect the right red coin
in the set of six coins, and then run right to exit the second area.
After arriving in the third area, run right along the path and pass through the
middle ring. Jump up and hit the fluff, and collect the first Super Star. Run
right along the spikes and drop down the first small step. Continue right along
the spikes to defeat three Little Skull Mousers, and jump to the top of the
tall spikes. Jump right to collect the red coin in the set of four coins, and
jump up the spikes on the right to collect the second Super Star.
Jump over to the spikes on the left, and jump up to the highest step to collect
the red coin. Jump to the spikes on the right, and run down the three steps. At
the bottom of the steps, run right and jump up to the small step on the other
side of the spikes. Jump left and run left along the spikes. Collect the red
coin at the left side of the line of coins, and then jump up to collect the
third Super Star.
Jump up to the spikes on the right, and run down the three big steps. Run right
at the bottom of the steps, and defeat the two Green Gloves. After the second
Green Gloves, jump over the Chomp Rock that rolls left, and then jump over the
top of the Slugger on the right to collect the fourth Super Star.
Continue right, and jump up after defeating the second Little Skull Mouser to
collect the red coin at the right side of the set of four coins. Jump up to the
third step on the right and hit the Slugger, and then jump up to the fourth
step. Drop right down to the first step, and jump right to collect the fifth
flower. Continue down to the goal path at the bottom of the steps. After
transforming into Yoshi, jump through the goal ring to complete the level.

1UP above the lava.
1UP - Near the end of the second area, shoot the winged cloud in the
gap at the left side of the third Slugger.
Flower 1 - Shoot the winged cloud above the third bucket in the first area.
Flower 2 - Near the end of the first area, this flower can be found in some
fluff before two Zeus Guys.
Flower 3 - In a tunnel shortly before the first Slugger in the second area.
Flower 4 - Shoot the winged cloud above the second Wild Ptooie Pirahna in

Flower 5 - Above the spikes near the goal ring at the end of the third area.
5 Stars - Shoot the winged cloud above the second Boo Guy in the first

5 Stars - Near the end of the second area, jump into the gap above the
second Slugger to reveal a winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud
for the stars.

1 Red Coin - Near the start of the first area, a Coin Bandit holds this red
coin near the first bucket.
1 Red Coin - At the right side of the first bucket in the first area.

three mushrooms with three coins on top. The red coin is in the
middle of the set of coins on the second mushroom.
1 Red Coin - A Coin Bandit holds this red coin under the first egg block in
the second area.
1 Red Coin - In the second area, this red coin can be found in a small tunnel
at the left side of the first egg block.
2 Red Coins - In the second area, in a tunnel under the first egg block.
1 Red Coin - In the second area, there are five coins at the right side of the
second egg block. The third coin in the line is the red coin.
1 Red Coin - Under the first Blow Hard in the second area.
1 Red Coin - In the second area, there are three coins above a platform
shortly after the second Blow Hard. The middle coin in the line
is the red coin.
1 Red Coin - Shortly after the fourth Blow Hard in the second area,
there are four coins at the left side of a Slugger. The left coin

- Flower 1 -
At the start of the level, shoot both winged clouds above for ten stars. Run
right and jump on the log when it stops spinning. Jump right and land on the
other side of the ledge to collect the red coin at the left side of the line.
Jump over to the platform on the right with the three Ravens, and then jump
right to the next platform. Collect the red coin above the right side of the
platform, and jump down to the small spring ball on the right.
When the Lava Drop on the right moves down, bounce from the spring ball and
hover over to the mushrooms on the right. Jump over to the second mushroom, and
jump over the gap on the right to land near the second spinning log. When the
log stops spinning, jump onto the log, jump up to collect the first flower, and
then hover right to collect the red coin in the set of five coins.
- Flower 2 -
After landing on the mushroom, jump right to land on the third log. Hover over
to the log, and jump right to land on the next horizontally moving platform.
Jump up to collect the fourth coin in the line of five coins, and land on the
fifth log. Jump right and bounce off the Red Koopa Paratroopa to collect the
red coin above. Hover right to collect the red coins above the next two Red
Koopa Paratroopas, and land on the sixth log.
Jump right from the log and land on the vertically moving platform. Shoot an
egg up to collect the red coin, and then jump over to the first mushroom on the
right. Jump over to the fourth mushroom on the right and collect the red coin.
Eat the Boo Guy, and jump right to the fifth mushroom. At this point, the Fuzzy
section will begin. Try and avoid the Fuzzys as you jump over the mushrooms to
the posts at the other side.
Jump over the posts to the platform on the right to end the Fuzzy section. Jump
to the post on the left, and stomp it once to collect a red coin. Jump to the
platform on the right, and then jump over the gap to the next platform. Shoot
an egg up at the fluff and stomp the crate for six stars. Drop down to the path
on the right, shoot an egg down and left to collect the second flower, and
continue right along the path to exit the first area.
- Flower 3 -
After arriving in the second area, shoot an egg up at the winged cloud for five
stars, and then jump through the middle ring. Jump onto the first log, and jump
up to collect the red coin at the right side of the set of five coins. Drop
back down to the path on the left, and face right. Stand under the left side of
the log, and when it starts to spin, jump up to get launched high. Hover right
to enter a secret area.
After arriving in the secret area, go through the left blue doors. In the next
two areas, go through the right blue doors to arrive in an area with seven Fly
Guys holding 1UPs. Shoot eggs at the seven Fly Guys, and then go through the
blue doors on the left to arrive in an area with three crates. Stomp the three
crates for eighteen stars, and then go through the blue doors on the right to
exit the secret area.
After returning to the second area, run down the slope on the left and drop off
the end of the path. Run left along the next path, and jump left to collect the
third flower under the log. After landing on the platform at the left side of
the log, jump up to collect the two red coins in the line of six coins, and
then jump back to the path on the right. Jump up to the next path on the right,
jump over the first Chomp Rock, and run up to the top of the slope.
- Flower 4 -
At the top of the slope, push the Chomp Rock down the slope on the right to
defeat the two Boo Guys. Continue right over the gap to the next path, and push
Chomp Rock right to defeat another Boo Guy. When the Slugger hits Chomp Rock
left, jump over it and stomp the Slugger. Jump over the Chomp Rock when it
rolls to the right, and then shoot an egg up and right to collect the fourth
flower above the platform.
- Flower 5 -
When the Lava Drop moves right, jump over to the platform and jump up to
collect the right red coin. When the Lava Drop moves left, quickly hover right
to land on the log. Jump right to land on top of the Chomp Rock, and stand at
either side to roll it off the post. Drop down to collect the red coin, and
then hover right to the platform. Shoot the winged cloud for five stars,
collect the red coin above the right side of the platform, and then shoot an
egg up to collect the fifth flower.
Jump right to the small spring ball on top of the post, and bounce up to
collect the left red coin above. Land on the Chomp Rock, stand on either side
to roll it off the post, and drop down to collect the red coin. Jump right and
land on the Red Koopa Paratroopa, and then hover to the log on the right. Jump
up to collect the middle red coin above the log, and then jump right to the
goal path. Jump through the goal ring to complete the level.

1UP * 7 - At the start of the second area, stand under the left side of the
first log. When it starts to spin, jump up and the log will
launch you high into the air. Hover right to enter a secret area.
In the secret area, go through the left blue doors. In the next

Flower 1 - Above the second spinning log in the first area.
Flower 2 - Under the platform at the end of the first area.

Flower 4 - Above the platform in the second area after the first Slugger.
Flower 5 - Above the platform shortly after the fifth spinning log in the
second area.
1 Red Coin - There are three coins on the right side of the first wall in the
level. The left coin in the line is the red coin.
1 Red Coin - In the first area, above the platform before the first small
spring ball.
1 Red Coin - Above the mushroom after the first flower.
1 Red Coin - There are five coins above the left side of the fifth spinning
log in the first area. The fourth coin in the line is the red
coin.
3 Red Coins - In the first area, there is one red coin above each of the three
Red Koopa Paratroopas between the fifth and sixth spinning logs.
1 Red Coins - Above the right side of the sixth spinning log in the first area.
1 Red Coin - In the first area, on the mushroom with the first Boo Guy, near
the start of the Fuzzy Section.
1 Red Coin - Stomp the post at the end of the Fuzzy section.
1 Red Coin - There are five coins above the first spinning log in the second
area. The fifth coin in the line is the red coin.
