Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Tales Of Phantasia - Strategy Guide (Page 02).

FLOOR 8

Go check the candle, and choose the first 
choice, then go through the door. Step on 
the switch, and go up, through the spikes. 
Then go right, following the wall, and go 
down. Follow the path to get a Aloe Incense. 
The go back to the spikes, and run right, then 
down. Go straight across,and down the stairs. 
Grab the treasure, then go back. Go left, and 
follow that path, and go into the door. 

FLOOR 9 

Go right, and step on the switch, then go 
through the door. Go all the wall up, onto 
the next screen. Go right now, and follow 
the path, and grab the Combo Counter. Step 
on the switch, the go back to the intersection 
and go back down this time. Now, go left and 
pull the switch, but don't go through the door. 
Now, go to the right, and down, and walk through 
the fire. Now go up, through the door, around, 
and down the stairs.

FLOOR 10

Grab the chest, then flip both switches. 
Choose the right transporter, and go up 
and check the obelisk. Now, go back and 
choose the left transporter. Go left, and 
choose choice 4. Now go back to the center, 
and go up, and choose choice 1. Now, go 
right and choose choice 3. Go down and pick 
2. Now go back to the transporter and step 
on it. Save, heal, and then choose the 
right one. Go up, and boss fight!

BOSS: Maxwell

Just keep it up and keep attacking him and 
you'll win. Whatever you do, KEEP HIM FROM 
CASTING THUNDER BLADE. Efreet does well here, 
as does Thunder Blade. Use Life Bottles as needed. 
He has no elemental weakness. If you're good, you 
can juggling him between Efreet and Thunder Blade, 
and Cless so that he can't get a single attack in.
