Final Zone Boss
!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^

As far as I know, this boss has no name. You can attack 3 main parts: The 2
hands, and the head. If you take out the hands, this boss is much easier. The
head shoots a laser out of its eyes. Hitting the hands 6 times each destroys
them. As you have noticed, the platforms raise up and down. If you ride them too
long, the spikes will kill you. If you are Tails or Cream, you have the
advantage, because Cream has Cheese to attack, the robot, and Tails can use his
tails to attack the head. If you use the first platform, the boss is easy. Hit
the head 8 times to beat it. Congratulations! Enjoy the ending!

True Area 53
ExtraExtraExtraExtraExtraExtra

I bet you're thinking this: Wait a minute! How do I get to this level?
Well, first, you must get all the Chaos Emeralds as Sonic, and beat XX. Next,
you must have Cream, Tails, and Knuckles beat XX. The other 3 don't need the
Emeralds, only Sonic. Once you go to the Stage Select screen as Sonic, you'll
see a bunch of red dots lead to a blue hole. Pick the blue hole (True Area 53),
and you will see a sequence, leading up to Sonic turning Super, and flying up
into space.

     Controls:
          A Button: Charge
          B Button: Charge
          D-Pad: Move

When Eggman shoots the missiles out of the tail of the ship, charge them
back at the cockpit, or the area around it. If you hit the tail, it won't do
anything. Be careful of the freeze ray, as once he freezes you, he will suck you
in and take 10 of your rings. He will also shoot projectiles at you (spike balls
and fire balls), but you can only fire the missiles back at him. It takes 8 hit
before he fires the missiles, then spins out of control, making him hard to hit.
It only takes 4 more hits after that. Enjoy the final ending!

8: Extras
*******************************

Here's what you can unlock:

Character 1:
Tiny Chao Garden

Character 2:
Sound Test

Character 3:
Boss Mode in Time Attack

Character 4:
Amy Rose as playable character

Keep in mind, that you must beat the Final Zone (XX) as the character with
all the Emeralds to unlock the features. Also, It doesn't matter which character
you use to unlock these things. Character 1 doesn't have to be Sonic. It can be
anyone.

*******************************
8A: Tiny Chao Garden
*******************************

     Controls:
          A Button: Pet Chao/move items/enter selection
          B Button: N/A
          D-Pad: Move cursor
          Start: Pause
          Select: N/A
          L Button: Bring up store
          R Button: N/A

The Chao Garden has been upgraded since Sonic Advance 1:
1: The Chao can swim in the Lake
2: The Chao can fly around.
3: A new mini-game has replaced the Rock, Paper, Scissors mini-game
4: The Stamina Glitch has been fixed.
I bet you are wondering: What is the Stamina Glitch? Well, the Stamina
Glitch is when you raise your Chao's Stamina up to level 11, transfer it to Sonic Adventure 2:
Battle, and try to raise the Stamina there. I think the Stamina stats get messed
up; I have never had this problem, but I hear that it is fixed.
5: The Chao has Z's over its head while sleeping

In the garden, there are many things you can buy for your Chao. You can
buy:
1: Food to feed the Chao (to buy food, press the L Button and choose an
item)
The Chao food is different than the food in the Gardens in Sonic
Adventure 2: Battle; they raise stats. So if you want to raise a Chao's stats
quickly for getting Emblems in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, then he Garden can
help. Every food is different. Also, you can see a Chao's mood or how hungry it
is. Here is the food chart that I made:

     Food Color/Shape|Price|Mood|Belly|Swim|Fly|Run|Power|Stamina|
     =============================================================
          Orange | 30 | +1 | +2 | +3 | -2| -2| +3 | +1 |
           Blue | 60 | 0 | +1 | +2 | +5| -1| -1 | +3 |
           Pink | 55 | +2 | +2 | +4 | -3| +4| -3 | +2 |
       Green/Circle | 50 | -1 | +1 | 0 | -1| +3| +4 | +2 |
     Purple/Triangle | 30 | +1 | +2 | -2 | +3| +3| -4 | +1 |
          Yellow | 55 | +2 | +2 | -2 | +4| +3| +4 | +2 |
        Red/Square | 70 | -3 | 0 | +3 | +1| +3| +2 | -5 |

        2: Toys for the Chao
           The toys are:
           A. A Trumpet worth 1,000 rings
           B. A Duck for the lake worth 2,000 rings
           C. A TV worth 8,000 rings*
*You can only get the TV by waiting 3 hours (total) after you buy the Duck

3: Eggs (Note: If you have a Chao already hatched, you can't hatch
another egg.)
Eggs come in many colors. You get a new one randomly once you re-enter the
Garden from a mini-game or enter from the main menu. Price varies with the egg color
(Note: Once you buy an egg, you can't buy another until the other one hatches).
Here is the Egg color & Price chart:

          Egg Color | Price(in rings)
     --------------------------------
     White w/blue dots| Free
                  Gold| 500
                Silver| 1,000
                  Pink| 5,000
                  Blue| 7,000
                Purple| 8,000
                  Teal| 10,000
                   Red| 12,000
                  Cyan| 14,000
                  Lime| 16,000
                Orange| 18,000
                 Black| 20,000

How to get rid of your Chao:
1(The easy way out): Transfer your Chao to Sonic Adventure 2: Battle or
Sonic Adventure DX: Directors Cut using a GCN/GBA Link Cable, and use the
transporter to get rid of it.
2(the hard way): If you don't have a GCN/GBA Link Cable, a Gamecube, or a
copy of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle or Sonic Adventure DX: Directors Cut, then you
must do these things:
      A. Do not feed it
      B. Do not let it sleep
      C. Do not pick the weeds
      D. Do not pet it

After you do these things, leave your Chao alone (unless it talks, then
press A to get rid of the speech bubble). Eventually, the music will change,
there will be a speech bubble telling you that he is leaving, and he will start
to walk off the screen. If you feed him or pet him, he will stay.

1: Cream & Cheese mini-game
White GBA Icon
*******************************

     Controls:
A Button: Used to make Cheese jump higher
B Button (Hold): Press Left/Right to move faster
          D-Pad Left/Right: Move spring

The object of this game is to collect all the rings without letting Cheese
hit the ground. If Cheese hits the ground, you lose a try. If Cheese hits the
ground 3 times, the game is over. There are 4 rounds total. A round is over once
you collect all the rings. The most rings you can get are 117. As you get
further, the rings get higher. In the 3rd and 4th rounds, balloons appear. They
bounce Cheese around. To make Cheese go higher, press A as soon as it hits the
spring. Once you go so high that you can't see Cream, a light picture of her
appears where you are on the bottom of the screen. This is to make catching
Cheese easier. If Cheese lands on Cream's head, it will bounce off and you have
a chance to get it back on the trampoline.

8A: Tiny Chao Garden
2: Card Matching mini-game
Purple GBA Icon
*******************************

     Controls:
          A Button: Select card/trip Chao
          D-Pad: Move cursor

In this game, you have to match the cards. The arena looks something like
this:

 ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___
|_B_||_B_||_B_||_B_||_B_||_B_|
|_B_||_P_||_P_||_P_||_P_||_B_|
|_B_||_P_||_R_||_R_||_P_||_B_|
|_B_||_P_||_P_||_P_||_P_||_B_|
|_B_||_B_||_B_||_B_||_B_||_B_|

The B's represent the Blue Tiles, which are worth 1 ring. The P's represent
Pink Tiles, which are worth 3 Rings. The R's represent Red Tiles, which are
worth 5 rings. There are 14 cards placed randomly on the board. After you see
where the cards are, the Chao walks in. The Chao's job is to move the cards
around. While the Chao is walking, press A to trip him. Do it at the right
moment, and he will reveal a card. You have 3 tries to match all the cards. If
you mismatch a card, you lose a try. When you match a card, you get a certain
amount of rings. The number of rings you get depends on the color tile the 2
cards are on. If you have a card on the Blue Tile, and another card that matches
it on the red part, and you match them, you will get 6 rings (1 ring for blue +
5 rings for red).

when you beat the Final Zone with all of her Emeralds.

*******************************
10A: Single-Pak Link-Up
*******************************

Play with only 1 game pak (inserted into player 1's GBA).

        What you need:
2-4 Game Boy Advance systems (depending how many players there are)
          1 Sonic Advance game pak
          1-3 GBA Link cables (1 for 2 players, 2 for 3 players, and 3 for 4
players).

       How to connect:
1: Make sure the power switch on all GBA systems are turned OFF. Insert
the Sonic Advance 2 cartridge into PLAYER 1's GBA, along with the purple end of
the cable.
2: Connect the rest of the GBA's together (plug the purple end of the
other cables into the purple box; only PLAYER 1 should have the purple end of
the cable plugged into his/her GBA).

3: To play with more than 1 cartridge, PLAYERS 2-4 should hold Start +
Select while starting the game (while the phrase: "Game Boy" is coming in. This
should make the word: "Nintendo" at the bottom of the screen disappear. Follow
the rest of the steps to begin the game). This makes game run more smoothly.

        4: Turn all systems ON.

     How to start the game:
1: Player 1 should go to "Multiplayer" and select "Single Game Pak
Mode".
2: After the Chao tells you how many players there are, PLAYER 1 should
press Start (the data should've transferred by now).

     How to play the game:
1: Each player's character is determined by which player is on which
system:
          P1: Sonic
          P2: Cream
          P3: Tails
          P4: Knuckles
2: All special tricks are gone. For example, Cream and Tails can't fly.
3: To win the game, collect the most rings before time runs out.
4: You can still spin into your enemies, causing them to lose rings.
5: The course is circular. If you keep going right, you will be back at
the beginning.
6: If you cross the finish line while playing, you will get extra rings.

*******************************
10B: Multi-Pak Link up
*******************************

Players have their own Game Pak.

        What you need:
2-4 Game Boy Advance systems (depending how many players there are)
1-4 Sonic Advance game paks (depending on how many players there are)
          1-3 GBA Link cables (1 for 2 players, 2 for 3 players, and 3 for 4
players).

       How to connect:
1: Make sure the power switch on all GBA systems are turned OFF. Each
player should insert their copy of Sonic Advance 2 into their GBA's.

2: Connect the GBA's together (plug the purple end of the other cables
into the purple box; only PLAYER 1 should have the purple end of the cable
plugged into his/her GBA).

        3: Turn all systems ON.

        How to start the game:
1: Each player should go to "Multiplayer" and select "Multi Game Pak
Mode".

2: After the Chao tells you how many players there are, PLAYER 1 should
press Start (the data should've transferred by now).

3: Players should choose their character. Two different players cannot
choose the same character. (Only characters that have been unlocked by at least
1 player are available)

4: Player 1 should choose a Zone (Only levels that have been unlocked by
at least 1 player are available).

        How to play:
1: To win, get to the end of the level.
2: Each character has all of their special moves (ex: Tails and Cream
can fly).
3: In Zone 2, the Act ends when you cross the finish line.
4: At the bottom of the screen, the icons represent your character. The
checkered flag is the exit.
5: The arrow behind (or in front of) you shows where the other players
are. The bigger the arrow, the farther behind they are. The smaller it is, the
farther they are ahead of you.

This is where you can see how fast you can beat a level. If you only have a
few levels unlocked as a certain character, then you can only play on the First

lose all your lives in Act 2, you must replay Act 1) as that character. The

If you have any questions about the guide or the game, e-mail me at:
link65@stny.rr.com. But first, make sure the question you ask isn't in the guide
itself. And DO NOT ASK ME SPECIAL STAGE STRATEGIES! I WILL NOT RESPOND TO THEM!
Also, do not send me viruses.
