Ribbon Road

One shortcut, but a real killer.
Method: When you come to the first jump across track area, as you hit the
boost pad, and the jump, turn right and land on the track here.
This shortcut will save you a ****ing arseload of time, and is damn
easy to pull off.

Yoshi Desert
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
One, One, One, One, ONE! Yes... just one shortcut, again!
Method: Near the end of the track there is an oasis, which Is presumably a
mirage, but your car seems to think it's real. If you turn left,
you'll see the edge of the oasis touching the rainbow wall.
At this area the amount of water you have to jump over is smallest,
and so when here, use a mushroom to boost and jump over the water next
to the wall.
And one last thing, watch out for the whirlpool of quicksand near the
oasis.

w00t! Finally, a track with two shortcuts... well, one and a bit anyway.
Shortcut #1 Method: From the start of the level, head around the first corner
(right), and the next wind in the road. Cross the bridge
and then look to your right.
You'll see water, and across it more track.
Use a mushroom boost and jump out across the water for
the track across the other side. If timed correctly this
shortcut is reasonably easy to do.
Shortcut #2 Method: When you come to the jump across the track, as you hit the
boost pad, and jump, turn left, and you'll save yourself
part of the turn, and thus a few milliseconds.

Broken Pier

Not really any shortcuts as such.. but there is this...
Method: Towards the end of the track is a hole in the track. To the right is
the "normal" path, and to the left of the hole (pretty much straight
ahead) is a thin wooden bridge. If you take the wooden bridge you'll
save an ittby bitty bit of time.

For most of these shortcuts, you will need to use a mushroom boost to be able
to make it as far as you need to land on track.
All of the shortcuts have a very simple idea: use the jump pads that line most
of the track to jump out across onto another section of track which will end
up saving you quite a bit of time.
Of course, use your head, and you'll realise that there are more, but much
smaller shortcuts on the small twists and turns in the track using the same
method.

Method: When you come to the leftmost part of the map, instead of turning left
and around the corner, drive across the dirt path and onto the part of
the track which is shown on the bottom right of the screen.

There aren't any shorcuts for this track that we've found..... so far a least.

Ghost Valley 1
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This will save you having to take one corner, but can be a bit risky if you
haven't yet come to grips with MK:SC's handling.
Method: Just after the jump in the track (the one where you can fall down the
track) you will normally go around to the right, but there is a gap in
the track, which has a bridge over it.
You can jump just as you come to the gap, and land on the bridge, or
use a mushroom at the jump in the track, line up with the bridge, and
you should do an extra high jump, and be able to land on the bridge.

This will cut out a windy turn in the track, saving you a few valuable
seconds.
Method: When you first come to water, turn left (off the road), turn left, and
follow the rainbow wall until you come to the water's edge, at which
point you use a mushroom and skim across the water, and to the other
side.

you had the air of the red feather to help you make it.
On the GBA version, you cannot make the shortcut.

This will save you a tiny bit of time, by avoiding a bend in the track.
Method: On the straight part of track (bottom right of the screen) don't take
the next turn in the trackm instead head out onto the dirt and through
the gap in the rainbow wall, and onto the track ahead (bottom left of
the map).

Whenever you see water to your right, you can probably use a mushroom and skim
over to the other side.

straigh (onto the dirt) and through the gap in the rainbow wall.
