Dragon Ball: Advance Adventure - Strategy Guide (Page 03)

Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Dragon Ball: Advance Adventure - Strategy Guide (Page 03).

6.6 Red Ribbon's Base
-> Items found around here:
--- 5-star Dragon Ball (item number 23)
--- Gold Bars (item number 50)
--- Korin's Staff (item number 34)
--- 6-star Dragon Ball (item number 24)

- You can find the 5th dragon ball (item number 23) on top of a door all
the way up in a tower find in the second area.

- Gold Bars (item number 50) can be found int the third area, near the
door found in the ground of the tower in which you needed to jump in
the walls before in order to get out of there.

- On the forth area, you will find a door in a tower after the bridge.
Inside it you will find Korin's Cane, item number 34.

- Like I read on the boards, this one is usually missed... Just before the
boss battle, you will cross a bridge. Instead of taking the next one
into the place with the boss battle, go to the place down that bridge,
and you will find a capsule with Dragon Ball number 6 (item 24) in
  there.

6.7 Holy Water Trial Cavern
-> Items found around here:
--- Crystal (item number 51)
--- Akuman's Spear (item number 35)

- On a place with lots of light platforms, fall on the left and you will
find a door, proceed in that place until you get to another door, in
which you will find Baba's Crystal ball (item number 51).

- In the point you last went down, use the platforms to go right, you will
find a capsule with Akkuman's Spear in there (item number 35).

6.8 Final level
-> Items found around here:
--- 7-star Dragon Ball (item number 25)

- On the first building you find, go up. On the top you will find a door,
which takes you to the seventh dragon ball (item number 25).

Once you get all the times, you will win a new option on the mini-games
menu, but be sure to get all the 7 dragon balls as soon as possible, since
that way you will be able to play with some of the characters you got the
face for, which makes this game even funnier...

7. Mini-games Mode

Ok, if you followed all the steps in this faq, you will now have 3
different options in this mode, they are:

Rock Breaking mini-game
Korin Catching mini-game
Boss mini-game

Well, they are not the correct translations of them, but I am too tired of
translating those things by now...

7.1 Rock Breaking mini-game

All you need to do in this game is breaking the rocks, both the big ones
and the smaller ones... However, be aware that breaking the big ones
always get you some extras, like coins (which give you extra points),
items that freeze the countdown, invencibility or Juckie Chun's face (if
you haven't still got it by now...).

7.2 Korin Catching mini-game

Well, remember when you did it on the Story mode? Well, now your point is
doing it again... However, this time will be a lot harder, so you will
surely need to be even more careful with all the fake clones than before!

7.3 Boss mini-game

Ok, here you will need to fight all the bosses in this game one by one,
but be aware that you can only heal your character 4 times, and that's
after each battle, since you will find yourself in a room with those
items that fully heal you and, if you use any of them, the won't appear
again. So, just pick any character you want (I went for Goku...)
and the start defeating them, you will be facing:

- Bear Thief
- Oolong transformed into Bat/Rocket
- Yamcha
- Shu and Pilaf in the yellow robots
- Krillin
- Lt. Metallic
- Purple Ninja
- (Some fat pink monster...)
- Robot Pirate
- General Blue
- Advisor Black in Red Ribbon Battle Jacket
- Akkuman
- Pilaf's Party combinated robot
- Tamberine
- Drum
- Goku

At the end you will find a "Thank you for playing" screen and nothing
more...

7.4 "Soundy" Fight mini-game (or "Small Fry" mini-game")

(First, sorry about the "rough" translation, but I couldn't find any good
way to translate "Zakuzaku").
If you are wondering, the only "normal" way to unlock this minigame was to
finish the Extra Mode and collecting all Dragon Balls. In this one you can
pick a character you want (from the ones you have already unlocked, just
like on "Boss mini-game") and with him you will need to clear a certain
area in less than 150 seconds. Lots and lots of different enemies will
appear, and you will need to try defeating them all... At the end you get
a menu saying how many of them you defeated, plus the time that you took,
and a nice screen with all the dragon balls in it.

8. Untested stuff

Ok, you must know that we, faq writers, are not perfect, so sometimes we
can miss stuff in the games... Here, I will include things that I DIDN'T
tested, so maybe some other things will be hidden in it...

- Perhaps some items are usable some times, and maybe they change the
story or something... I never tried this, so it is mainly a rumor, but
  it may work!

9. Is there any code to unlock everything?

Play the game until you achieve all the tasks said up to this part of the
faq. Now, input this code in the title screen:

L, R Up, Down, L, R, Left , Right, R, R, Right

This will unlock all the faces (making you able to play with all the
possible characters) and the forth mini-game! ATTENTION, this seems only
to work in the japanese version of the game!

CHF. Characters' Faces List

All of them can only be got in extra mode, so don't even bother searching
for them in the story mode...

In level "Goku's House":

Pig Bandit - on Goku's House, left of the first white bridge, use the pole
to go up into the air and get it.

Flying Camera- on Goku's House second area, fall in the first hole in the
ground, you will find it there.

go up with the pole, you will see it there.

where you have a really huge hole on your right side.
Go down on it to get this...

In the area "Going down, on the Rock point":

go right and up. Enter a door and you will see this face inside

pole) and break some rocks, it will be there.

In the level "Master Roshi's Training":

Bear Thief - on Master Roshi's Training, in the third are you will find a
place with lots and lots of spikes. Go up there and you will
             find this item.

In the area "Going Back...":

this below a group of many rocks. Break them and get it.

up on that battle (using the pole) and you will see it there.

In the level "Muscle Tower":

Lt. Metallic - on Muscle Tower, you will see it on top of a blue closet,
               exactly on the first corridor.

Nam - on Muscle Tower, after defeating Lt. Metallic, go all to the right
and on a next area you will find it on top of a closet.

In the level "Underwater Cavern":

Chaoz - on Underwater Cavern, as soon as the level starts go left. You w
will see this one on top of Bulma's submarine.

Robot Pirate - on Underwater Cavern, door in the upper right part of the
second area (thanks to AnotherGamer for this info).

In the area "Second Part of the level":

Purple Ninja - on Underwater Cavern, just before the boss battle, you will
find a "!" with red robots coming from 2 holes in the top
of the cavern. Use your pole to go up the right one and you
               will find this there.

In the level "Red Ribbon's Base":

Tamberine - on the aerial section of Red Ribbon's Base, you will find in
on top of the last airplane you see.

In the area "On the ground":

General Blue - on Red Ribbon's Base, you'll see a door next to the floor
in the end of the first area, you will find this face inside
               that door.

TaoPaiPai - on Red Ribbon's Base, on the third area go down the bridge,
using a character that flies (like Chaoz or Giran). There, you
            will find this one...

In the level "Pilaf's party":

Akkuman - on Pilaf's party level, go left quickly and you will find this
          face in there.

In the level "Holy Water Trial Cavern (second part)":

Ukelele - on Holy Water Trial Cavern, you will surely find it on a top of
a small platform, in the path between the first and the second
          boss.

Drum - on Holy Water Trial Cavern, on the same place where you found
       Bansho's Fan.

In the level "Final level, really!":

Son Gohan - on Final level, after defeating Drum go left, you will see
            this face there.

Red Ribbon Battle Jacket - On Final level, on the second area (right
before the third one) go up on the tower of one
of the buildings, you will find this image
                           inside the door in there.

In the mini-games:

Juckie Chun - Rock breaking mini-game, it appears to come out randomly
when you break the big rocks. Also, this is not done on the
Extra Mode or anything, but on the Mini-games Mode! It is
rumored to appear if you beat the top score (not in the
actual mini-game, but after the bonus counted.

King Piccolo - After unlocking the "Soundy" Fight mini-game, keep playing
it. This face seems to be randomly acquired, so defeating
keep defeating the enemies and eventually one of them will
               drop this.

Depending on the images you get, you will be able to play as different
characters on the Extra Mode, but for unlocking all of them (except for
Goku and Krillin) you will first need to get all the 7 dragon balls. Then,
when you are playing in the Extra Mode, press SELECT and you will see a
menu with all the items and two options on the top. The first one makes
you exit back into the game, but the second one will take you to a menu
where you will be able to pick what character you wanna play it.

Plus, hope you enjoy playing with all those characters you like!
Personally, I thought I would never see the day in which I would be able
to play with Chaoz on a Dragon Ball game... XD

CE. Characters Evaluation

Ok, in here I will list all the characters that are playable in the game
and their moves, plus more information about them that I think that should
be included. And if you are wondering about why I chose to order them this
way, well... it's just the same order in which they appear listed in the
game.
Oh, and this is the format in which the information is given:

Name: [Obviously, the name of the character]
Moves:
[one character moves, and how to perform it, and stuff about it...]
[other of the character moves, ...]
   [........ and so on]
Can fly? [YES or NO...]
Good jumper? [YES or NO...]
Special notes: [if any, you will see them here]

So, here goes, and hope you enjoy this! I bet most people won't even read
this, but at least it is a good improvement to the faq! OH, AND DON'T
FORGET, all these information ONLY applies to the platform section of the
game, NOT TO THE BATTLE SECTION!

                     perform a powerful finishing blow!
