Astro Boy: Omega Factor - Strategy Guide (Page 06)
Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Astro Boy: Omega Factor - Strategy Guide (Page 06).
Q10. Hard difficulty is too hard. Any tips?
A10. For starters, prioritize the jet stat over the life points.
Enemies are insanely powerful in hard that you'll die in
two or three hits. With an upgraded jet stat, you can use
the jet/dash to go pass enemy attacks. Then, go with the
punch and laser stats. Enemies recover faster and this will
make a low-level machine gun somewhat useless.
Q11. Dude, where the hell is Fumoon?
A11. At the start of the stage, go down and proceed to the
right. I'm assuming you can't go right any further. See that
platform? Stand on it's left-side and attack like crazy.
Fumoon will appear after several hits.
Q12. Why is stage 0-3 not appearing in the stage select screen?
A12. Make sure you do ALL events related to stages 0-2 and 0-4.
*gets his shotgun*
Q13. ARGH! I'm stuck Kennedy keeps on talking about an "eye".
Where the hell is Black Jack?
A13. I repeat. FINISH ALL EVENTS RELATED TO STAGES 0-2 and 0-4.
*loads his shotgun*
Q14. Your guide is teh sucks! I can't find Dr. Black...
A14. *shoots his shotgun*

8. JAPAN VS NA
In case some of you are wondering what Hitmaker and Treasure
did during the six-seven months before releasing the game, this list
should give you an idea how crappy the Japanese version is when
compared to the more polished and refined American release. Most of
the information in this section is taken from a topic thread found
at the Astro Boy message board.
a. The NA release has language settings. The languages are:
English
French
Italian
German
Spanish
Japanese
b. Additional bonuses at the end of the stage.
c. New enemies. (Giant squid, jetpack flunky, propeller flunky, etc.)
d. Better stage design.
- In stage 3-3 of the Japanese version, there are no enemies.
In the NA release, they added some enemies.
- They also improved the shooting stages by adding some traps
in the form of indestructible mines.
- The developers divided the Japanese stage 8-1 into two stages.
The original stage was too long and probably more difficult.
- You can't keep on flying during the Great Pyramid stage.
e. You can change between Birth and Rebirth in the stage select
screen. They also have separate high score records for them.
f. Stage 0-3 is now included in the high score records.
g. A new difficulty setting.
Japanese normal = NA easy
Japanese hard = NA normal
? = NA hard
h. Solved most of the slowdowns experienced in the Japanese release.
i. Better graphical effects.
- A dandy boss life meter at the bottom of the screen.
- New drawings when Pook transforms.
j. You can now meet Jetter Mars even if you have finished the
events related to stage 0-3.
k. Some trivial changes
- They changed the order of the characters in the character list.
- The event test now gives you a hint in which stage an event occurs.
Unfortunately, some entries are misleading...(eg. mix-up between
Hecate and Fumoon)
- The traffic robot changed from a "GO" sign to a traffic light.
