1. Intro

This is my FAQ for the recently released UFC Throwdown for the Nintendo 
Gamecube. In this FAQ I will provide move lists for each original & 
(eventually) secret character. If you would like to help out by sending me a 
move list for one of the secret characters that I don't have, go to that 
character's section for details.

NOTE: I play my game with the L, R & Z buttons doing the opposite command 
that they are set to do at the beginning so I may accidently refer to them 
like that in this FAQ. If you see one of those mistakes please e-mail me & 
point it out.

2. Revision History
=======================================================================

Version 3.75 -January 5, 2003: Added the only response I got to the side step 
moves question & one new question that gets asked on the message board a lot 
to the FAQ's section. I have not had the time to do any new move lists lately 
but I should have some time on my exam break from school & I hope to finish 
up all the move lists that I possibly can. On a side note, I watched the UFC 
Vendtta show & I must say that in my opinion it was a great show. Even though 
most of the matches were rather short they were still good.

Version 3.5 - September 10, 2002: Added Move Lists for Eugene Jackson, Dave 
Menne, Frank Shamrock & Bruce Buffer. I also added a question to the FAQ 
section, the note at the beginning of the FAQ & 2 new websites that this FAQ 
can be found on.

Version 3.0 - August 27, 2002: Added Move Lists for Kevin Randleman, Elvis 
Sinosic & Evan Tanner plus the stats for Bruce Buffer & Lorenzo Fertitta. I 
am also going to submit this to gamefaqs for the first time.

Version 2.5 - August 26, 2002: Added Move Lists for Vitor Belfort, Chuck 
Liddell & Tito Ortiz. I also added the list of career mode diciplines, rating 
submission info & the sparring opponents list.

Y: Right Punch (RP)
A+B: Go for a Takedown (can also be done with Z with the default controls)
Y+X: Alternate Takedown (does not apply to all fighters)
Y+B: Counter Punch (can also be done with L with the default controls)
X+A: Counter Kick (can also be done with R with the default controls)
X+Y or A+B: Counter Takedown
Rotate Control Stick: Escape from Takedown

On Ground:
A: Left Punch to Body
B: Left Punch to Head*

A) Standing
==========
Description: Both fighters are on their feet.
Offensive Advantages: - You can choose either punches or kicks
Defensive Advantages: - It is easier to block attacks
                      - You can back away from an attack to re-gain health

Offensive Disadvantages: - You are unable to use submissions
                         - It is easier for your opponent to get offense
Defensive Disadvantages: - It is easier to be knocked out

B) The Guard
==========
Description: A ground position where the fighter on the bottom has his legs 
around the waist of the fighter on the top.
Offensive Advantages: - You are able to stand quickly if needed
Defensive Advantages: - You can flip your opponent into a full mount
                      - You are able to kick out & go back to standing
Offensive Disadvantages: - Your punches aren't usually as strong
                         - Limited Submissions
Defensive Disadvantages: - Blocking doesn't block the full force of the punch
                         - You can be put in a submission move

C) The Full Mount
==========
Description: A ground position with one fighter on the mat & the other 
fighter on top.
Offensive Advantages: - You can hit them with strong punches
                      - A good varitey of submission moves are available
                      - Easy to stand up if needed
Defensive Advantages: - You are able to flip your opponent
                      - Some fighters can apply submissions
Offensive Disadvantages: - No kicks can be used
                         - Could be placed in a submission move
Defensive Disadvantages: - Can be very easily punched
                         - Can be placed in a number of submission moves
                         - Hard to make it back to a standing position
                         - Hard to block punches

D) The Back Mount
==========
Description: The fighter on the bottom is on his knees with the other fighter 
on top of him
Offensive Advantages: - Very easy to punch your opponent
                      - You can apply submissions
                      - Easy to get back to a standing position
Defensive Advantages: - Some fighters can apply submission holds
Offensive Disadvantages: - Difficult position to get into
                         - You may possibly be put into a submission hold
Defensive Disadvantages: - Hard position to get out of
                         - Can be easily hit
                         - Can be put into a submission hold
