| 8e. Game Carts |
\___________________________________________________________________________/
A fun little addition to TimeSplitters 2 are the three game carts hidden about
the levels. Here is a description of each, along with where to find it.
Anaconda
========
If you've ever played snake on a mobile phone then you'll know how to play
this. You can play single or multiplayer. The aim is to collect all the crosses
and get as long as possible with the highest score without dying. Moving
crosses are worth more, their value corresponding to the speed at which they
move.
To get Anaconda search the shelves on the left from where you enter the
Siberian bunker in mission one. This works in any difficulty.
AstroLander
===========
The object of this game is to gently land your little cone onto the landing
pad, using as little fuel as possible and without crashing. It's no mean feat
in the later levels, but it's possible.
AstroLander is located in the lockers in the hackers' base in NeoTokyo, on the
left in the first room with a door. It's only there in Normal or higher.
RetroRacer
==========
The ancient Atari game is reborn on GameCube. RetroRacer is a lame racing game
where your little car runs around a set track in single or multiplayer games.
Try to get the best time over five laps. If you've ever played "Jeff and Barry"
on the NES you'll know what to expect.
Find this cart under a ramp in the rail room, Robot Factory. It's only there
in Hard mode though.

| 8f. Arcade Awards |
\___________________________________________________________________________/
This is the complete list of all the arcade awards in the game. I took them at
this URL:
They are therefore not my own work. The webmaster of the above site,
PhoenixDDD, deserves credit for any information in this section. Thank you!
1.Most Lethal - kill a lot of people in multiplayer in a short time without
dying nearly as much
To get: attack people as often as possible
2.Most Losses - dying sufficiently more than those around you
To get: either really suck or allow yourself to be raped again and again by the
bots
3.Lemming Award - blowing yourself up continuously from a certain height
To get: use remote mines atop cliffs, ledges, or building to kill yourself, and
fall to the ground beneath
4.Most Professional - good kill rate, good accuracy, decent stealth, low
death-to-kill ratio
To get: smaller guns are a plus, basically do what you did for "most lethal"
but don't "slaughter" the competition
5.Multi Kill - killing multiple people at once
To get: rocket launchers and explosives are quite valuable
6.Longest Spree - kill a group of people within a very short time frame, one at
a time
To get: weapons like the ElectroTool can assist you Popular misconception: this
award has NOTHING to do with killing many people in a row without dying
7.Most Effective - exhibiting high accuracy without dying
To get: use small guns, don't take a shot unless you know you'll likely hit an
opponent, and pick up health and armor when you need it
8.Pathetic Shot - missing the vast majority of what you shoot at
To get: the mini-gun works great, just let it blaze a bunch of bullets
repeatedly without hitting the targets you fire at
9 .Maniac - throwing yourself in the face of danger
To get: continually run forward into firefights, don't stop for a second, and
return fire only as you approach enemies...also, strafe as little as possible.
10.Brain Surgeon - taking lots of head shots
To get: small guns work better than large guns, basically just get kills mainly
with head shots...you do not need to use the scope of crosshairs here, just be
consistent. Usually you will get this award without ever realizing it.
11.Fists of Fury - throwing punches constantly and aimlessly
To get: hold down the punch button and break windows, hit people, and just
don't stop
Popular misconception: this award has NOTHING to do with making head shots or
even hitting anybody, it just requires you to punch more than you do anything
else
12.Fists of steel - throwing punches that hit a lot of targets...using your
fists effectively
To get: using a robot and facing zombies seems best (make everyone, yourself
included, unarmed), since the kills are much easier to attain
Popular misconception: this award has NOTHING to do with being a robot nor do
you need to take head shots...but head shots will more easily damage an
opponent
13.Glass Jaw - getting killed with punches more than by any other means
To get: turn off weapons, and let a group of five or more bots in a team
deathmatch beat the crap out of you
14.Decapitator - knocking off a lot of heads
To get: zombies are the best targets, since they lost their head easily...make
sure your shots or punches are primarily focused on knocking the heads
off....this is not the same as killing by taking shots to the head.
15.Betrayer - killing your teammates
To get: do a team game and kill your teammates more than the other team, or
simply a whole bunch of times
16.Vandal - breaking objects
To get: go to a level like Streets or Ice Station, with bots in the game, and
break the glass rather than fighting the enemies...you can also destroy things
like computers.
17.Hypochondriac - getting the armor and/or health continuously, even when you
don't really need it
To get: keep picking up health and armor; the Training Ground works best for
this
18.AC -10 Award - keeping up a high level of armor
To get: either pick up the armor a bunch of times, or a only a few times (so
long as you don't get hit and loss your high armor level for most of the game)
19.Where's the Health? - being near the health, but never actually picking it
up
To get: stay near a health icon the entire game, and guard it from enemies, but
don't actually pick it up...it must stay in your view. If an enemy picks it up,
you'll need to stay by another one. Running over where the health used to be if
someone picks it up will enhance your choice of getting the award. Training
Ground works best here.
20.Where's the Armour? - being near the armor, but never actually picking it up
To get: stay near an armor icon the entire game, and guard it from enemies, but
don't actually pick it up...it must stay in your view. If an enemy picks it up,
you'll need to stay by another one. Running over where the armor used to be if
someone picks it up will enhance your choice of getting the award. Training
Ground works best here.
21.Hoarder - getting the most items throughout the game, and keeping others
from getting them
To get: pick up every gun, ammo box, and health/armor icon that you can find
22.Sloth - staying in one place without leaving
To get: either go somewhere and don't move, or make sure you stay in a
particular room of a building without ever leaving
23.Most Frantic - running around a whole lot, either towards someone, away from
someone, or just around in general
To get: run around and make lots of turns throughout the board, going in
multiple directions
24.Backpeddler - moving backwards more than forwards
To get: make backwards your default movement, go backwards more than forwards
Popular misconception: this award has NOTHING to do with attacking people
Note: You can earn this award and "sidestepper" in the same match
25.Sidestepper - Moving sideways (strafing) more than forwards
To get: make sideways your default movement, go sideways more than forwards
Popular misconception: this award has NOTHING to do with attacking people
Note: You can earn this award and "backpeddler" in the same match
26.Ledgehopper - falling from great heights to your demise
To get: go to chasm, and just keep jumping off the connecting bridges into the
dark depths below you...it's not many times you can pull it off, it's how often
you make the jump
27.Most Sneaky - killing people from around corners and from behind more than
through face-to-face confrontation
To get: go behind people, shoot them from a distance, or shoot them from hidden
quarters (such as the bunkers in Training Ground)
Popular Misconception: This award has NOTHING to do with stealth per se, and
you can only earn it when playing with at least one human companion
28.Most Cowardly - running away from fights, avoiding confrontation
To get: while in the middle of a fight, turn away and run more than you stay
and fight...a low kill rate helps
Popular Misconception: This award has NOTHING to do with running per se nor
does it have to do with avoiding taking hits, and you can only earn it when
playing with at least one human companion
29.Dodger - move out of the way of most shots directed at you
To get: avoid taking hits by staying at a distance from your enemies, and
moving out of the way of their shots
30.Most Outgunned - using weapons against your enemies that are sufficiently
less deadly than theirs
To get: start with a small gun, and make the rest of the guns on the map big
guns...only use the small gun to fight people
31.Best Equipped - using weapons against your enemies that are sufficiently
more deadly than theirs
To get: start with a small gun, and make the rest of the guns on the map big
guns...only use the strongest of these guns to fight people
32.Weapons Expert - having all five slots filled by weapons, and being killed
by every weapon in the map (in slots 1-5, even if they are the same weapon)
To get: It's how often the computers use the five weapons against you that
counts. They must kill you with all the weapons available, from the most
frequently appearing to the least frequently appearing.
Popular Misconception: This award has NOTHING to do with using all five
weapons, using their primary or secondary function, and having/using them with
frequency.
33.Porter - securing the bag the most times in a match (during a CTB match)
To get: kill the enemies who take your bag and secure the bag more than your
teammates do...it helps to use small guns
34.Bag Man - capturing the bag and bringing it back to your base in a CTB match
more than your teammates do...it helps to focus on the bag more than your
enemies
To get: any CTB match in which you dominate the bag should get you this award
35.Ricochet King - hitting the enemies with a lot of shots that bounce off of
walls
To get: do a match with all sci-fi handguns, and keep firing your guns to
maximize wall bounces...you can also use the mini-gun to get this award, but
it's not as effective
36.Underequipped - being unarmed for most of a match while your enemies all
have guns
To get: start with no guns, but have guns available on the map...fight your
enemies with your fists, and not the guns
37.Bully - killing people who can't fight back
To get: start everyone off with fire extinguishers, and make all fire
extinguishers on the map, then simply switch to fists and beat the hell out of
them...or you can start everyone off with no gun, and then get a gun and shoot
as many unarmed enemies as possible
Popular Misconception: This award has NOTHING to do with attacking and killing
the same person over and over again.
38.Victim - (getting killed by the same person over and over)?
To get: no conclusive strategy has been shown at this time for getting this
award
39.Most Peaceful - not fighting for most of the match
To get: walk around but don't shoot anybody, or stay in one place and don't
shoot anybody
40.Most Dishonourable - shooting people in the back while they're engaged in
another fight...not the same as "Most Sneaky" because here you do it in full
visibility, not from around corners or behind objects
To get: attack and kill from behind mostly those who are distracted by virtue
of fighting other people
41.Most Manic - running around a lot while attacking people
To get: run and shoot people in multiple directions, continuously
42.Cartographer? - (exploring every tile of a map, and looking in every
direction to see everything)?
To get: no conclusive strategy has been shown at this time for getting this
award
43.Shortest Innings - staying alive for short periods of time
To get: die a lot in a short time, but not necessarily a bunch of times
44.Longest Innings - staying alive for long periods of time
To get: die very little over a long period of time, but not necessarily die
never or only a few times
45.Survivor - stay alive with very little energy left
To get: get down to low health, and kill more than a few people before dying or
picking up health or armor
46.Sniper - killing people using a scope as your default function
To get: use the vintage or sniper rifle, and keep it on scope function...then
walk around only shooting those you can see in the scope
47.Most Flammable - being on fire a lot during a game
To get: play with all flamethrowers and get lit up a number of times
48.Persistence Award - play for 50 hours (2 days, 2 hours) total on the stats
screen
To get: work your way up fifty hours of game play (not necessarily
continuously), then do an arcade match
49.Traveller Award - walk over 500 miles
To get: reach an accumulated mileage of 500 miles on the stats screen, then do
an arcade match
50.Trigger Happy Award - shoot over 500,000 bullets on the stats screen
To get: use the ElectroTool continuously in matches...if you hold down the
button and fire just the ElectroTool, you will accumulate approximately 102,000
bullets for every half hour of game play (it's true, those laser shots count as
continuous streams of bullets)
51.Insomniac Award - play over 2 hours after midnight
To get: play the game after midnight and the time will start adding up
Popular Misconception: this award has NOTHING to do with turning on the Game
Cube after midnight; you can start at 10pm and play until 3am, and you will
have exactly 3 hours of insomnia time
52.Beheader Award - taking off over 200 heads on the stat screen
To get: it helps to play a lot of matches with zombies, who lose their heads
very easily
53.Smasher Award - breaking between 550-600 panes of glass on the stats screen
To get: playing matches in levels with a lot of glass, and consistently
breaking and re-breaking the glass helps
54.Golden Oldie Award - playing as a T1 "secret" character between 20-25 times
To get: Play a lot of matches with either: Duckman Drake, Robofish, Badass
Cyborg, Chinese Chef, Gingerbread Man, or the other two characters in the green
boxes located in the gallery who are near these characters :>)
Popular Misconception: This award has NOTHING to do with listening to music
55. Brutality Award - kill 100 civilians on the stats screen
To get: play on NeoTokyo (easy), shoot out the cameras to avoid the cops
coming, and then go back and forth through the level wiping out the
civilians...you can do this on Chicago also, but it will take much longer
because the civilians respawn less quickly and the board is bigger
56. Punching Bag - (get punched a lot without dying)?
To get: no conclusive strategy has been shown at this time for getting this
award
57. Most Useless - (do little to nothing in a match)?
To get: no conclusive strategy has been shown at this time for getting this
award.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
* TIMESPLITTERS 2 *
* 9. Weapons List *
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Here is a weapon list by Black Hole Sun. It is very in-depth and useful, and
he was kind enough to allow me to use it in this FAQ. So as not to copy him any
more than I must, I have changed the layout a little.
+++++++++++++++++
+Silenced Pistol+
+++++++++++++++++
Clip Size : 8 Bullets, 60 max
Primary : Single Shot
Secondary : Single Shot
Power : Average
Recoil : Excellent
Range : Short
The Silenced Pistol is basically a rip-off from GoldenEye's silenced pistol.
It sounds the same, looks the same (though with a different color), and is
about as powerful. It'll take quite a few shots to bring down an enemy; it's
best used to drop a single, unsuspecting enemy. Not good at all for skirmishes
with more than one guard.
++++++++++++++
+Luger Pistol+
++++++++++++++
Clip Size : 7 Bullets, 60 max
Primary : Single Shot
Secondary : Single Shot
Power : Average
Recoil : Average
Range : Short
Almost the same as the above pistol, but this is old-skool from the 1930s.
You'll use this in the Chicago level.
+++++++++++++++++
+Garret Revolver+
+++++++++++++++++
Clip Size : 5 Bullets, 40 max
Primary : Single Shot
Secondary : Single Shot
Power : Above Average
Recoil : Below Average
Range : Short
Straight out of the wild, wild west, the Garret Revolver is what cowboys like
yourself will use to wipe the dusty crime-filled free of law biting criminals.
It's pretty useful, and has good power, but it's recoil makes it useless in
many personed gun fights, and it's especially terrible in multiplayer.
++++++++++++++
+Sniper Rifle+
++++++++++++++
Clip Size : 5 Bullets, 40 max
Primary : Single Shot
Secondary : Single Shot
Power : Above Average
Recoil : High
Range : Long
It has a small clip size, and high recoil, with only single shot capability,
making it lousy for gun fights. Use this to snipe off distant foes.
+++++++++++++++
+Vintage rifle+
+++++++++++++++
Clip Size : 5 Bullets, 40 max
Primary : Single Shot
Secondary : Single Shot
Power : Average
Recoil : High
Range : Long
So-called "Vintage" because it is pretty damn old: this type gun was used
waaaaay back in the '30s. It's almost same as the modern sniper rifle, only
its design is a little different.
++++++++++
+Crossbow+
++++++++++
Clip Size : 4 Bullets, 50 max
Primary : Single Shot
Secondary : Single Shot
Power : Average
Recoil : High
Range : Average
An average crossbow which you'll use in the Aztec level. A primitive weapon
used by the Aztec tribe, but it gets the job done, though with high recoil and
long reload time. You CAN light it's arrows on fire; approach a torch or
anything on fire and two of your arrows will alight. Now you can shoot things
and set them on fire, such as bee hives and tree golems.
+++++++++++++++
+Flame Thrower+
+++++++++++++++
Clip Size : ~20 seconds of flame
Primary : ~20 seconds of flame
Secondary : ~20 Seconds of flame
Power : High
Recoil : None
Range : Very Short
The flame-thrower is an excellent weapon in the single player game because
there's no way for an enemy to put out the fire. It has surprising range for
such a weapon, but once your fuel runs out it's pretty worthless. No good for
multiplayer, and it's only found once (in Siberia) in the single player.
+++++++++
+Shotgun+
+++++++++
Clip Size : 2 Bullets, 40 max
Primary : Single Shot
Secondary : Single Shot
Power : High
Recoil : High
Range : Average
The shotgun is a mixed bag. It's got excellent damage rates and good range,
but it also has a big recoil problem and for some odd reason lacks double
barrel shot capabilities. But still, it's better than that described below...
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
+Tactical 12-Gauge Shotgun+
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Clip Size : 8 Bullets, max 40
Primary : Single Shot
Secondary : Double-barrel simultaneous shot
Power : Average
Recoil : High
Range : Short
This is a worse version of the shotgun. It has short range to cap off of
unbearably long firing rates, very slow reload times, bad accuracy, and only
average power. I'd stick to the shotgun if I were you, but the double-barrel
capabilities give this some value.
++++++++++++
+Soviet S47+
++++++++++++
Clip Size : 30 Bullets, 200 max.
Primary : Rapid Fire
Secondary : Timed Grenade Launch, 40 max.
Power : Above Average
Recoil : Medium
Range : Short
It's strange Free Radical wouldn't use this weapons true name, the AK-47.
Anyway, it's one of the few rapid-firing weapons in the game, but it's nothing
special. Of course it's useful in many personed gun-fights, but it doesn't
have as fast as firing rates as does some of the other machine guns. Decent
power and sturdy design has made this weapon last through the years as a
favorite among the Soviet army since the '70s.
+++++++++++
+Tommy Gun+
+++++++++++
Clip Size : 32 Bullets, 200 max.
Primary : Rapid Fire
Secondary : Rapid Fire
Power : High
Recoil : Medium
Range : Average
The Thompson has been around for a long time. It was mainly used in WWII, but
it got especially popular before that among the Mafia and other gangs. The
Tommy gun is an excellent weapon: fast firing rates, great damage rates, and
good accuracy. Alas, this is found only in the Chicago level, but it's a
must-have during multiplayer deathmatches.
++++++++++++++++
+Sci-Fi Handgun+
++++++++++++++++
Clip Size : 30 Bullets, 200 max.
Primary : Trio-Shot Fire
Secondary : Trio-Shot Fire
Power : Above Average
Recoil : Average
Range : Average
With a humorous name, the Sci-Fi handgun marks the next-generation of lethal
weaponry. It has average power, but what makes it special is that its energy
blasts rebound off of walls and other solid surfaces until it either flies into
the sky or hits someone or something. Not a good weapon for tight spaces,
because if you miss it's more than likely that it'll bounce back at you. Feel
free to use this from the longer ranges, though it's best used as Medium range
and outdoor weapon.
+++++++++++++
+Laser Rifle+
+++++++++++++
Clip Size : {Charge}
Primary : Laser
Secondary : Shield
Power : {Variable}
Recoil : {None}
Range : Average
