Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Sims 2, The - Strategy Guide (Page 03).

* Cuddle Helga in bed * (unlocks Tranquility Falls)

Go to a double bed. Choose 'RELAX' and wait. Switch to Helga and go to
that double bed. Again choose 'RELAX'. Once she has settled down, 
select 'Cuddle'. You may also wanna try woohoo since you guys are
already in bed.

[Bonus Location]

Complete Billy's Gold Wants to unlock The Orbit Room.

-- Press R3 until you become Billy --

1) Become enemy with Helga

Use the negative socials on Helga. Socials include 'Insult' and 'Slap' 
which prove to be effective. Reduce till about -17 points.

2) Become arch enemy with Helga 

Now that you guys are enemies, simply add more negative socials. I keep 
slapping her and then give wedgie

3) Throw party (unlocks bonus location)

Go to the telephone and select Throw Party! Do not call between 1am-6am.

Warning: If you go to the Orbit Room DO NOT INTERACT WITH ANY ALIEN!!!



4.6 Tranquility Falls
-------------------------

Very Japanese ambience.

Residents: Chantel, Candi, Goopi and Larry

All residents are controllable with Larry and Chantel having gold wants.

Gold wants: 

* USe massage table * 

Buy the massage table. It is in the Buy catalog.

* Use talk social on Larry *

Get to know Larry. use the talk social on him. Simple. 

* Gain a skill point in mechanical *

Either buy a bookshelf or the workshop kit that makes fireworks. At
the bookshelf, grab a book and select 'Study Mechanical'.

* Build walls *

Press the Start button. Go to Build Catalog and build walls.

* Get a genie lamp *
* Buy object more than $500/- *

These two aspirations are obtained by buying certain things.
Simply get the genie lamp. 
Get any object worth more than $500!

* Reach level 8 in any career *

You should already have a job by now. Build up your skills and 
friendships to get promoted till level 8 in any career. For more info
refer to my career guide.

* Buy something more than $1,000/- *

Again, buy something. Anything you want.

* Visit another location *

Don't be too happy yet. You have not unlocked the next location. 
Simply visit the past locations you have already went.

[Platinum Want]

* Help Chantel fulfil all her gold wants *

Press R2 till you become Chantel and complete ALL her gold wants.

* Change Chantel's clothes *

You need to buy a wardrobe. Change her clothes.

* Buy a fountain *

Go to Buy Catalog. Buy the only fountain. It is HUGE!

* Add a room *

Go to the Build Catalog after pressing the Start button. Build walls.

* Buy any object *
* Buy 4 lights *

Again, go to the Buy Catalog and buy any object you like. Then buy 4 
lights!

* Master Creativity skill *

Here you will need to buy a skill object. Either buy the bookshelf and study
creativiy or buy an easel to paint or buy the guitar or piano. You can also
prune a bonsai plant.

* Buy any object worth $500 *

Another aspiration to purchase an object! Go to the Buy Catalog, and buy an
object worth more than $500.

* Get Art Career * (unlocks Alien Crash Site)

Grab a newspaper or go to a PC and 'Look for job'. Browse through till you
see the Art career. The newspaper will only show 3 job openings while the
computer will show 5 job openings. If you cannot find the Art career job
opening, try again another day till you get it.

[Bonus Location]

To unlock Jugen House, satisfy all of Larry Liu's gold wants

-- Press R3 until you become Larry--

1) Design a computer game

Purchase a computer, Make Larry design a computer game.

2) Fill fun need

There is a great gaming item in the house. Looks very much like the 
heligraphics from the past seasons of the Sims games. Fill the fun level till
the top with all green.

3) Make a nauseous meal 

Use lots of fish esp squid and eel. Do not look at food when raw. It will not
be nauseous. Cook it like make capaccio.

4) Give food to Candi Cupp (unlocks bonus location)

What I did was after I made that disgusting nauseous meal, I ran over to Candi 
and gave it to her. Poor girl started throwing up!



4.7 Alien Crash Site
--------------------------

Residents: XY-XY Smith and XHT-F Smith
Neighbour: Jonas

You can contol both XY-XY and XHT-F Smith. 
Fulfil XY-XY wants to unlock Bio Dome and XYT-F's wants to unlock the 
Bonus location.

Gold Wants: 

* Meet an Alien *

There are two aliens living here. Get to know any of them.

* Reach level 9 in any career *

Hopefully you have been working on your skills and promotions. Get promoted
to level 9 of any career. Refer to my career guide for more details.

* Buy a computer *

Go to Buy Catalog and pruchase a computer. There are various types of 
computers with different prices. The cheapest is the Honeywell computer. 
Be sure to buy a table and chair for your computer.

* Write a blog *

After you have purchased the computer, select it and choose 'Write Blog' 
The more you blog, the more popular you can get.

* Build walls *

Go to your Build Catalog and choose to build  walls. Each wall slab costs only
$1/-

* Help XY-XY Smith fulfil all his gold wants * (stop war with neighbour)

Press R2 until you become XY-XY Smith. Fulfil all his gold wants to make peace
with Jonas his neighbour. This is a platinum want.

* Be friends with Jonas *

Interact with Jonas. Get to know him and reach 40 relationship points.

* Change clothes to look more human *

You will need to buy a wardrobe and get him to change his clothes. I simply 
added a cap to him to differentiate him from XHT-F. Sometimes they both 
look similar that I find it hard to differentiate. Just add a cap to be fast.


* Buy ingredient source *

An ingredient source includes the frood tree, aquarium or garden hutch. You can 
find them in the Buy Catalog under Miscellaneous.

* Give food to Jonas *

Cook a meal. Pick it up and run to Jonas. Click on the food and select 'Give 
food to ...' option. Choose to give to Jonas. Make sure he accepts it to 
fulfil your aspiration.

* Throw a party * (unlocks Bio Dome)

You need to get a telephone for this one. Go to the telephone and under 'Call'
option, select throw a party. Note: Do not call during the wee hours of the 
morning like 1am - 6am. Try calling later!

[Bonus Location]

Completing XHT-F's Gold Wants unlocks Andromeda Arms 

To unlock, satisfy all of XHT-F Smith's gold wants

-- Press R3 until you become XHT-F Smith--

1) Get a job

Go to either the newspaper of the computer. Select find a job.

2) Earn $200

Depending on what job you select as different jobs have different pay. Refer 
to my Career Guide for the details of the pay given, working hours and skills 
needed for promotions.

3) Buy hot tub

Buy either the lovers tub or the big blue tub which can fit 4 people in it. 
Remember, bath tubs do not count!

4) Play chess

Buy a chess set. It is under the skill items in the Buy Catalog. To play 
chess, you will need two chairs and placed at the correct ends of the table.
Only then can you Sim play Chess. If you select play chess and a cloud 
appears above your Sim's head with a chair in it, this means that you have
not placed the chairs in the correct position.

5) Get a promotion

Build up her skills to get a promotion.

6) Earn $400

Again this depends in the type of job and the level. Bring home at least $400.

7) Buy a Burglar Alarm

Go to the Buy Catalog and under electronics, buy the burglar alarm. 

8) Read a book

Buy the bookcase from Buy Catalog. Get your Sim to READ A BOOK! Do not ask 
them to study anything. That is not reading a book.

9) Get a promotion

Again, work on those skills and friendship. Go to work and get a promotion.

10) Buy a rug (unlocks the bonus location)

Go to the Buy Catalog, under decorative and select a rug. Be sure not to 
exceed the fire code or else many many things will catch fire. Be calm and 
call for the fireman. 


4.8 Bio Dome
------------------------
                                            
Residents: Gilda Geld, Noel Howard, Jessica Jones & Wooster Piggins

All 4 Sims can be controlled. Both Noel and Jessica have gold wants.

Gold wants: 

* Use secret handshake with Noel *

Hmmph! You need to get to know Noel. Build up relationship points with him 
till way above 40 points. If you have 50-80 points, you may find it hard 
to get a handshake from him. I suggest above 90 social points to get this 
aspiration fulfilled.

* Create food with energy boost effect *

Use food with high energy content. When you go to the refrigerator, R1 till
harvested seafood. Look at all the seafood there. Select those with high
energy levels like the shark. Choose about 3 or 4 of those seafood with high
energy content. Taa daa.

* Finish any career *

Again work on with your skills and get promoted to level 10 which is the 
highest level of any career. Do not forget to retain or make new friends. 
They matter!

* Help Noel fufil his gold wants *

Press R2 until you become Noel. He is quite elderly with some white hair. 

* Hire maid *

Okay Noel is some rich guy and wants a maid. Buy a telephone and call for
'Services' and select Maid. Get the maid to come daily for $10 per hour.
But seriously I thought Wooster was working for Noel so why would they need 
a maid for. I made Wooster the butler of the house after firing the maid.

* Play golf *

Buy the golf game and play it!

* Buy painting worth more than $1,000 *

Noel has such expensive taste! Go to Buy Catalog, under decorative select a 
painting worth more than $1000. I bought the landscape painting for $1,500.

* Add a room *

Go to Build Catalog by pressing the Start button and build walls.

* Master Charisma skill *

The only way to build up the charisma skill is to buy the mirror. Go to Buy
Catalog, under Skill items, select the mirror! Work on your charisma till
10 points by either practice talking or kissing. Or start Bloggin at the
computer.

* Master Politics career * (Platinum Want)

Currently Noel is a judge. So work on the skills and FRIENDS!!
Refer to career guide section 3.4 for more details.

[Final Cut Scene]

You may want to fulfil Jessica's gold wants. It will not unlock any 
location but if you want to get 100% completion, then do so. You need
to help a total of 15 Sims! So far you have helped 10 Sims so you need to
help 5 more!

Jessica's Gold Wants

* Buy a DJ Booth *

Go to the Buy Catalog, under Electronics buy the Turntablitz DJ Booth.
It costs $5,000.

* Invite a Sim over *

Get to the telephone or computer and Invite any Sim over. 

* Party with Alien *

Well all I did was to go to the telephone and throw a party. That's all.
The aspiration was fulfilled!

* Get 4 Sims Dancing *

Control 4 Sims and get them over to the stereo set. Get them to dance.
Aspiration fulfilled!

* Use Fireworks on DJ Booth *

Go to the DJ booth which you have bought earlier. Select be 'DJ' and
then select 'Fireworks'

* Use Laser on DJ Booth *

Since you are already at the DJ booth, simply switch from 'Fireworks'
to 'Laser'. Just click on the booth and select 'Laser'. If you are 
not at the Booth, go to the DJ booth, select DJ and then select
'Laser'. You have now completed all of Jessica's gold wants.


In order to help a total of 15 Sims, you will need to help another
4 Sims. Note: They must be those with GOLD WANTS!

5.1 Mesa Gallery
------------------

Residents: Jasmine Yves, Willy Weir & Rico Banana

To unlock, satisfy all of Hector Fromagero's gold wants

As part of the 100% completion, you are required to help 15 Sims.
In this location, Jasmine Yves has gold wants. So help her by 
completing her gold wants.

Jasmine Yves' Gold Wants (for 100% completion) 

* Sell a great painting *

Get someone with high Creative skill preferably level 10 to paint
an image on one of the easels and then get Jasmine to sell it.

* Reach level 5 in Art career *

Jasmine starts off with level 4 in the Art career. Work on her skills
to get promoted. Refer to the Career Guide for more info. She has very
high creative skills so work on the Charisma and Mechanical Skills.

* Write a blog *

Buy a computer, a table and a chair. Get Jasmine to write a blog.

* Have 6 Friends *

Interact with 6 Sims and get at least 40 relationship points with them.
Please note, do not use any romantic social options.

* Buy a Sculpture *

Go to the Buy Catalog under Decorative and buy a Sculpture.

* Buy a painting worth more than $500 *

Go to the Buy Catalog under Decorative and buy a painting worth more
than $500. I bought the Cantakerous Bowel Fish for $700.

* Throw a party *

You need to get a telephone. Once you have it purchased, throw a party.

* Wear a costume *

Go to the Buy Catalog under Miscellaneous and buy the Pathologic
Costume Trunk worth $5,000. Change into a costume like the Yeti,
Polar Bear or Space Suit. Changing into your bathing suit, pajamas or
even work outfit will not satisfy this aspiration. Well at least not
for me!

* Get 4 Sims danceing *

There is a stereo or boombox in the room with 2 easels. The simplest way 
is to control 4 Sims and get them over to the stereoset and get them to
dance. All should dance together at the same time. Keep switching to them
one by one and make sure they dance at the same time.

* Play Spin the Bottle *

Go to the Buy Catalog under Miscellaneous and buy the game called Spin the
Bottle. It's a game whereby if the bottle points at someone, he/she has to
kiss the person who spin the bottle. Kisses can be light and fast ones 
while some can be tantalising hot. Spin the Bottle game costs $1,625.

* Have 3 Lovers *

Jasmine apparently does not believe monogamy. So work on the romantic 
socials and have 3 people in love with Jasmine. What I usually do is
once I reach 40 relationship points I select 'Hit On' social twice
in a row. Then they will get into romantic mode like serenade, holding
hands, flying hug etc. 

That's all. You have now helped another Sim.


5.2 Andromeda Arms
-------------------

Residents: Mary and John Gray (Alien couple)

To unlock, satisfy all of XHT-F Smith's gold wants

As part of the 100% completion, you are required to help 15 Sims.
In this location, John Gray has gold wants. So help him by 
completing his gold wants.

John Gray's Gold Wants (for 100% completion):

* Buy a Stereo Set *

Go to the Buy Catalog under electronics and buy the boom box.

* Buy a Blender *

Go to the Buy Catalog under appliances and buy the blender.

* Buy a painting *

Go to the Buy Catalog under decorative and buy the cheapest painting. 
Note: Later on you will need to buy a more expensive painting.

* Buy a fire extinguisher *

Go to the Buy Catalog and purchase the fire extinguisher under 
Appliances.It costs about $1,000.

* Buy an arcade game *

Go to the Buy Catalog under Miscellaneous and buy the Arcade Game.

* Buy a metal detector *

Go to the Buy Catalog under electronics and buy the metal detector which
costs $1,200.

* Find a bottle cap with metal detector *

Well, I searched the entire area and found all sorts of things until I 
finally found the bottle cap. I got the bottle cap near the telephone
booth around the grassy area. Be patient. Took me about 5 long mins!

* Buy TV set worth at least $400 *

Go to the Buy Catalog under electronics and purchase the TV set worth $500.

* Buy ingredient source *

Go to the Buy Catalog under Miscellaneous and purchase any ingredient 
source. You can choose from the frood plant, vegetable hutch or the
aquarium.

* Buy a decorative plant *

Go to the Buy Catalog under decorative and buy a decorative plant.

* Buy expresso machine *

Go to the Buy Catalog under appliances and buy the Expresso Machine. It
costs $400.

* Buy a painting worth more than $1,000 *

Go to the Buy Catalog under decorative and buy a painting which costs
more than $1,000. I got the landscape painting which costs $1,200. 

* Buy a ktichen sink *

This is quite interesting since the kitchen already has a kitchen sink. 
I'm not sure if the sink was spoilt when I first went there coz I think
I fixed the spoilt sink. Anyway, go to the Buy Catalog under plumbing
and buy a kitchen sink.

That's all. You have now helped another Sim.
 

5.3 The Orbit Room
-------------------

Residents: Phil Phantasm, Turk Johnson and Jessie Rose

To unlock, satisfy all of Billy Spectre's gold wants

As part of the 100% completion, you are required to help 15 Sims.
In this location, Phil Phantasm has gold wants. So help him by 
completing his gold wants.

Phil Phantasm's Gold Wants (for 100% completion):

* Build a recording studio room *

Simply  build a room. That will suffice.

* Buy a stereo *

Go to the Buy Catalog under electronics, buy a stereo set. I 
bought the Procedure Music System worth $2,550.

* Invite a Sim over *

Go to the telephone (buy one if you do not have one) and invite
a Sim over. Make sure that Sim agrees to come to fulfil your
aspiration.

* Buy a computer worth more than $2,000 *

Go to the Buy Catalog under electronics, buy the expensive
computer. The honeywell computer is too cheap. I bought the
U-Probe-It Computing Organism worth $2,300.

* Buy a metal detector *

Go to the Buy Catalog under electronics, buy the metal 
detector worth $1,200.

* Reach level 6 in Business Career *

You start off at level 5 as an Exective. So work on the skills
needed to get promoted. Refer to my career guide for more
information. A simple tip is to work on the charm skill using
blog option in the computer, for logic skill use the create a
game option in the computer and as for creative skill go to the
bookcase in the hall and write in a journal. Also make 4 friends.

* Buy an Arcade Game *

Go to the Buy Catalog under Electronics, buy the Arcade Game.

* Throw a party *

Go to the telephone and select 'Throw a Party' option.

* Dance *

Go to the stereo set you have bought and 'Dance'. If not, go to 
the DJ booth at the back of the house and dance.

* Master Business Career *

You are now at level 6 of the career. You need to get promoted
until level 10. Work on the skills and number of friends required. 
Good Luck!

* Give food to a Sim * 

Cook a meal, Run to any Sim and select food, 'Give food to...' social.

That's all. You have now helped another Sim.


5.4 Jugen House
------------------

Residents: Toothless Joe, Don Cothario, Dina and Nina Caliente

You've just entered a hostel! Many games, comics, chicken with 
checkers, a jukebox and a common toilet!

To unlock, satisfy all of Larry Liu's gold wants

As part of the 100% completion, you are required to help 15 Sims.
In this location, Toothless Joe has gold wants. So help him by 
completing his gold wants.

Toothless Joe's Gold Wants (for 100% completion):


* Buy a fruit punch barrel *

Go to the Buy Catalog under appliances, buy a Fruit Punch Barrel
worth $950. It looks like some pineapple. Pretty cute stuff.

* Make a new enemy *

Interact with a Sim and keep using the 'Slap' social. Continue until
about -15 relationship points. Do it until the aspiration is 
fulfilled.

* Gain 3 enemies *

Do the same thing but to 2 more Sims.

* Get a new arch enemy *

Choose one of the enemies you have made and continue the negative
socials until -20 or -30 relationship points.

* Win a fight with a Sim *

At your arch enemy, continue the negative socials. You will see the
fight social and choose 'Fight'. You need to win the fight. I got it
the first time when I fought with Ossie. So it's pretty easy.

* Take out trash *

Clean any part of the house, either pick up any plate or empty the 
wastepaper basket and throw it out to the rubbish bin outside the
house.

That's all. You have now helped another Sim.

5.5 Sims to Help
___________________

There are 15 Sims whom you need to help in order to get 100% 
completion.

Simply complete all their GOLD wants. 
Note: The 15 Sims are those that can be controlled and those with 
GOLD wants.

6.0 Freeplay Mode
___________________

Freeplay mode is unlike story mode as they are no goals or gold wants
to this game. Simply play the game as you wish and there is no ending.

You start with 4 lots. The first lot is a family of 4. You can live with 
them or bust them out. It is up to you. The second lot starts with 2 people
living in the same house. However, if you decide to move in with the 2 
people you will get less Simoleons to start with.

The third and fourth lots are empty. Here you start with a barren land. You 
will need to build your house from scratch. Everything will have to be done 
and bought by you. Good luck. Please note, the fire code still exists!

There is no ending in freeplay mode. You play as freely as you want. That's
why it is called freeplay!
