Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Scaler - Strategy Guide (Page 02).

Jump to the next area below and climb to the top of the cliff. Jump on the 
vine here and you'll land in a cave. Go in the passage at the left and go left
again to find a shell. Blow it up with a bomb and grab the last CRYSTAL GEM
(10/10). Then, go to the end of the cave and jump on the vine to reach the
next area. Jump down in the cave below and defeat the enemy here. Then double
jump to reach the ledge above to end up outside. Press the green pad here,
defeat the enemy and go straight ahead. Jump on the platforms to reach the
top area. Go on the vine and get past the obstacles to finally reach the EGG.



CHECKLIST

Crystal Gem 1: Use the platforms to reach a distant area with a shell
containing it.

Crystal Gem 2: Take down the force field on that distant area to get it inside
a shell behind the force field.

Crystal Gem 3: On top of a group of platforms.

Crystal Gem 4: Blow up the wall on your left after the first vine to find it.

Crystal Gem 5: Throw a bomb in the worm's mouth to find it behind.

Crystal Gem 6: In the area with many Trappers, in the shell in the right

Crystal Gem 7: After the area with many Trappers, blow up the wall straight
ahead to find it in a shell behind.

Crystal Gem 8: Throw a bomb at the enemy on your left before the second worm
to find a shell behind him that contains it.

Crystal Gem 9: When you make two rows of platforms appear, go on the ones at
the right to find it.

Crystal Gem 10: In the cave, go left and blow up the shell.





BOSS       ----------------------
*********** f) Looger's Henchmen *********************************************
           ----------------------



When the fight starts, jump over the platforms at the right until you reach a
large platform. You'll need to fight Jazz. She will slide once, then stop, so
use that opportunity to hit her. Then, she'll start sliding twice in a row
before stopping, and three times at the end. Be careful and avoid her, then 
attack her until she is defeated.

Then, you'll need to cross to the next large platform while the dragon shoots
ice at you, so be quick and use double jumps to jump from a platform to the
other. You'll then need to fight Rhombus. He'll jump and try to crush you,
but you can easily avoid his attacks by running away and jumping to avoid the
wave. Then, attack him after his attack. Sometimes he'll jump twice in a row
so be careful. Hit him until he is defeated.

Then, jump on the platforms at the right to reach the last large one. You'll
fight Turbine here. The dragon will also attack you while Turbine does, so
you'll need to be extra careful. Avoid the dragon's shots, then avoid 
Turbine's poison breath by trying to stay behind him so very far from him.
When he stops, attack him. Repeat until he is defeated.





LEVEL 5    -------------
*********** g) Desollem ******************************************************

Before reaching the actual level, you will need to go through a mini-level of
shooting on the Repbaldactile. Simply shoot down the enemies in the air before
they reach you, and keep in mind that the gray ones take more hits.

Then you'll land at Desollem. This level is actually a series of challenges.
After completing each challenge, the next one will become available, and in
order to get the egg, you will need to complete the fourth challenge. For each
challenge, you will be rewarded a Crystal Gem, and a second one if you beat 
the challenge a second time. Keep in mind that you will need to use the speed
boost button to win the challenges, and also some of the shortcuts will really
help you.

LEVEL 6    ------------
*********** h) Koradus *******************************************************
           ------------



At the start of this level, go straight and jump over the platforms until you
reach the other side. Here, you'll see spiked cocoons, so use the camouflage
ability to sneak past them. Then, go in the mud at the right still with the
camouflage ability to reach the first CRYSTAL GEM (1/10).

Then, go straight ahead and down to the area below. At the bottom, go right 
and jump on the vine. In the next area, go straight and jump over the spiked
cocoons at the right of the boulder at the end to find a metallic shell. Blow
it open with an Electric Bomb to find a CRYSTAL GEM (2/10) inside.

Then, jump down in the area below at the right and cross to the other side of
the mud using the camouflage or jump on the higher area at the right and then
to the other side. Jump down below again and cross the other muddy area by
jumping over the rocks. Reach the other side and double jump to the cliff
above, then jump on the vine here. In the next area, climb up the path and
avoid the slimes. Then, at the bottom of the path, jump to the next path to
climb it up. You'll arrive in a new area. Go straight ahead and drop down on
the lower ground to find a CRYSTAL GEM (3/10).

Then, go back up and you'll notice that there are two paths you can take to
reach the next area. Go in any of the two as they lead to the same place. Once
in the next area, continue on the next path. At the end of the path you'll 
find an EGG.

Back at the entrance, go straight again until you reach the spiked cocoons.
From there, use the camouflage to get past them and head left. Jump on the
vine here to reach a new area. Once there, go straight ahead and jump over
the stepy stones until you reach a cave. Enter it and go straight to find a
CRYSTAL GEM (4/10) in the middle.

Then, go to the end of that section of the cave, killing the many enemies 
along the way. Then, go left to access a different section of the cave. Keep
going further into the cave until you reach another section of the cave where
the ground is green. Here, kill the Dragon Warrior, then jump on the pad 
nearby and run back to the first plant near the entrance of this section by
following the liana on the ground. Quickly grab the CRYSTAL GEM (5/10) in the
plant before it closes.

Now, go back to the end of the cave and climb up to reach the outside area.
Jump on the higher ground over the mud to avoid the Trappers and then jump 
down to the ground below, in the corner of this area to find a CRYSTAL GEM
(6/10). Then, climb to the top of the cliff and defeat all the enemies here.
Jump on the vine then to reach the next area.

In this area, break the metallic shell with an Electric Bomb to get a CRYSTAL
GEM (7/10). Then, jump on the vine to reach yet another area, and jump on the
vine here too to reach the last area. Once in this last area, you'll notice 
that there are 2 paths you can take, but first, go to the very far right of
this area and look in the corner at the edge to find a metallic shell. Break
it open for a CRYSTAL GEM (8/10).

Then, climb up the path nearby at the left, which leads to the top of this
area where a metallic shell is. Break it open for another CRYSTAL GEM (9/10).
Jump on the vine here to go back down to the area below. This time, go left
in the small cave and climb up the path here. At the top, go straight ahead
and defeat all the enemies to make a CRYSTAL GEM (10/10) appear. Pick it up,
then grab the EGG nearby.

BOSS       ---------------------
*********** i) Giant Rattlecrab **********************************************
           ---------------------



For this battle, you will be on the Repbaldactile. First, you will need to 
shoot the Rattlecrab's claws. When he's about to attack you with one of his
claws, shoot it repetitively until you hurt him. That way you will be able to
avoid his attack. Repeat this process several times with each of his claws
until he decides to change his method of attacking.

You will now need to shoot the four yellow dots on his head until you destroy
them all. However, this time he will send missile enemies at you, so you will
need to destroy these enemies before shooting the yellow dots. Shoot down the
enemies and as soon as you have the time, try shooting the dots, or try to do
both at the same time. Once you destroy the four dots, the Rattlecrab will try
a new way to take you down.

This time, he will try to use a radar on his head to shoot you down. Start by
shooting the radar first, then shoot repetitively in his mouth. If you destroy
the radar, you will prevent him from attacking you. Repeat the process, shoot
the radar, then his mouth until Rattlecrab is destroyed. Phew.





LEVEL 7    -------------
*********** j) Medoozum ******************************************************
           -------------



When you start this level, go down and hit the platform activator to make some
platforms appear. Jump on them until you reach a new area. Here, defeat all 
the enemies, then hit the platform activator and use the platforms to reach 
the next area. Jump on the moving platforms here to reach yet another area.
Keep jumping on the other platforms in this area to reach the next again, then
defeat the Zarpac in this area and go right to hit the platform activator. 
Jump on the platforms to reach another area and defeat all the enemies here.

Hit the platform activator in this area and jump on the platforms until you
are on a spinning platform. From this platform should be two other platforms
leading two different ways. Jump on the beige platform at the right and it'll 
bring you to a new area. Here, go straight and grab the CRYSTAL GEM (1/10) 
behind the fake surprise cocoons.

Then, go back on the beige platform to return on the spinning platform, and
this time, jump on the purple platform and keep jumping on the next ones until
you reach the next area. Defeat all the enemies here, then hit the platform 
activator and jump on the platforms until you reach the next area. There 
should be a metallic shell here, but you'll get it shortly. Jump on the vine 
here and when the vine splits in two ways, jump on the vine at the left to 
reach an area with a shell. Break it open with an Electric Bomb to get a
CRYSTAL GEM (2/10).

Then, jump back on the vine and you'll end up in the area you were previously
where the other shell is. Break it open for another CRYSTAL GEM (3/10). Jump 
back on the vine here and when the vine splits, stay on the right one to reach
a new area. Here you'll need to fight the Doozum. When he throws a big fiery
rock, hit it with your tongue in the Doozum's direction to hurt him. Avoid
all of his other attacks and repeat the process until you defeat him to get 
the Doozum transformation.

From where you are currently, drop down to the area just below the one you are
in and you'll find a shell. Break it open to get a CRYSTAL GEM (4/10). Then,
transform into the Doozum and fly to the area just below the one you are in
right now to find another CRYSTAL GEM (5/10) among some Klokkies. Then, still
in your Doozum form, fly around this area until you spot some blue enemies
shooting at you nearby. Shoot them all and a CRYSTAL GEM (6/10) will appear
where they were. Pick it up. 

Now, there are two challenges in this level. Fly to the red portal and go
through it to start the Ring Challenge.

*Ring Challenge*
Pass through all rings before time runs out. 

Use the speed boost and don't miss any ring. At the end you will get a CRYSTAL 
GEM (7/10). Then, fly to the blue portal for the Tunnel Challenge.

*Tunnel Challenge*
Race to the end of the tunnel without touching any of the walls or obstacles.

Use the Quick Turn for some of the hard passages and at the end you will get
the EGG for this level.

The three last Crystal Gems can be found around the level. Find and kill the
three huge flying beasts around the level and you will receive a CRYSTAL GEM
(8/10). Then, fly to the very far right end of the level (use the map to go 
there) and you will spot other blue flying enemies among some big floating 
rocks (near the blue portal). Shoot them all and a CRYSTAL GEM (9/10) will 
appear. The last one is hard to locate, fly to the bottom left corner of the 
level (use the map once again) near the starting area of the level and land 
on a land with many Ratos, on the other side of a barrier. The CRYSTAL GEM 
(10/10) is floating in the air here.

Crystal Gem 6: Near the area where you fought the Doozum, shoot down all the
blue enemies to make it appear.

Crystal Gem 7: Complete the Ring Challenge.

Crystal Gem 8: Shoot down the three big flying beasts around the level to get 
it.

Crystal Gem 9: At the far right end of the level, shoot down the blue enemies
to make it appear.

Crystal Gem 10: In an area only accessible with the Doozum (check the 
walkthrough).





LEVEL 8    ------------
*********** k) Iridium *******************************************************
           ------------



At the start, take the path going left and use the camouflage to sneak by the
spiked cocoons. At the very end of this path, jump on the vine to reach a new
area. Here, go straight ahead and climb up the path to reach another area.
Once there, go left to find a CRYSTAL GEM (1/10) at the end of the path.

Go back from where you came and go straight, following the trail of Klokkies.
On the way you'll encounter your first Fruzard. Defeat him, then keep going
until you need to fight the second and third Fruzards. Continue jumping from
platform to platform until you are on one with a shell. Break it open with an
Electric Bomb, but watch out for the cactus. Inside is a CRYSTAL GEM (2/10).

Keep going and jump on the large platform with the fourth Fruzard on at the 
right. Defeat him and the fifth Fruzard also. Then, go back to the previous
area and keep going on until you need to fight the sixth Fruzard. Then, climb
up the path nearby to reach the next area. Keep going further into the path
until your way is blocked by cactus. Use the camouflage to sneak past them
and go down the narrow path. Defeat the seventh Fruzard here. Then, jump down
to the area below. Jump on the sinking platforms to reach the other side and
defeat two more Fruzards here.

Keep going and climb up the path to the next area where you will need to fight
two more Fruzards. Continue in the same way and climb up the path again to 
another area. Jump on the pillars here to reach the top area and defeat the
last Fruzard here. You can now transform into a Fruzard. Go in the blue warp
to teleport back to the entrance area.

Back at the entrance, take the path going right and shoot the lamp-like plant 
at the end of this path to get a CRYSTAL GEM (3/10) out of it. jump on the 
platform at the left, then on the vine. When the vine splits in two ways, 
stay on the vine, don't switch and it will bring you to the EGG at the end. 
Then come back here and look in the air to see some dragons. Transform into 
the Fruzard and shoot down all those dragons using the sniper mode. Then, 
jump down on the platform below with the Klokkies. Shoot down all the other 
dragons that will appear and jump on the last platform. The path will stop 
there but you'll see a trail of Klokkies leading to an unreachable portal on
the other side. Enter the sniper mode and shoot the yellow target in the air
to make platforms appear. Jump on these platforms to reach the other side 
and go through the portal for a challenge.

*Balloon Challenge*
Shoot the balloon to keep it airborne! Target Time 23 seconds.

For this challenge, all you have to do is keep shooting the balloon so it 
doesn't fall during 23 seconds. Just don't shoot it like mad and you will get
it. You will receive a CRYSTAL GEM (4/10) for this challenge. Then, go back
to the entrance of the level. This time, go in the left path and further in 
that same path, shoot the lamp plant near the Dragon Warrior to get another 
CRYSTAL GEM (5/10). Then, look in the air where the Dragon Warrior was using 
the sniper mode and shoot the yellow targets to make platforms appear. Jump 
on them to reach a portal on the other side. Go through it for another 
challenge.

*Griffon Challenge*
Shoot the Griffons before they reach you! Target Time 1 minute.

This challenge can be hard. Shoot down all the dragons before they reach you
until the timer hits zero. You will receive a CRYSTAL GEM (6/10) for it. Then,
cross back to the other side where the Dragon Warrior was and jump on the vine
at the end of the path. Right after getting off the vine, don't move, simply
turn around and enter the sniper mode. Look in the air behind you (where the
vine is) and you'll see some floating balloons. Shoot them all as one of them
contains a CRYSTAL GEM (7/10). There's another Crystal Gem in a balloon in 
this level and as it's near this area, we'll go get it now. Simply go 
straight ahead and climb up the path to be back in the area where you fought 
the Fruzards. Go where you fought the second Fruzard (near an area with 2 
health units) and look in the air with the sniper mode to see floating 
balloons. Shoot them as one of them contains a CRYSTAL GEM (8/10).

Now, go back to the previous area after the first vine where you shot the 
first floating balloon and this time, transform into the Fruzard and enter 
the sniper mode. Look in the air above the path at the left to see some 
enemies throwing boulders. Shoot them to take them down. Then, you can safely 
cross the path to reach the next area. Here, jump on the sinking platforms to 
cross, then shoot the dragon in the air and go to the end of the path while 
shooting the dragons along the way. At the end of tshe path, shoot the yellow
targets in the air at the left and platforms will appear. Use them to reach 
the other side, then go on and shoot the enemies along the way, and at the 
end, shoot the yellow targets here too to make platforms appear again. Jump 
on them to reach the other side and go through the portal for another 
challenge.

*Cave Challenge*
Snipe 10 targets within time limit! Target Time 30 seconds.

Shoot ten balloons hidden around you in 30 seconds. Look carefully ad some of
them are hidden behind rocks. You'll receive a CRYSTAL GEM (9/10) for this.
After the challenge, you'll re appear on the other side of the cave. Start by
shooting the dragons in the air here, then cross to the other side by jumping
on the sinking platforms. Climb on the ledge above and enter the sniper mode.
Shoot the rock throwing enemies above the path, then safely cross that path.

At the end of the path, jump on the sinking platforms, then shoot the yellow
targets in the air to make some platforms appear. Jump on these platforms to
reach the other side, then defeat the Dragon Warrior here. Go left and break 
open the metallic shell here with an Electric Bomb to get a CRYSTAL GEM 
(10/10). Then, go down the path at the right and cross using the sinking
platforms to reach the other side and grab the EGG.

Crystal Gem 7: Shoot the floating balloon near the vine behind you after
riding the first vine at the end of the left path from the entrance to get it.

Crystal Gem 8: Shoot the floating balloon in the air near where you fought 
the second Fruzard to get it.

Crystal Gem 9: Complete the Cave Challenge.

Crystal Gem 10: In a shell before the end of the level near a Dragon Warrior.





BOSS       --------------------
*********** l) Bootcamp's Lair ***********************************************
           --------------------



This boss may seem hard, but he's pretty easy to defeat once you know how. He
mainly has two attacks at the start of the fight, he'll either try to bite you
(which you can avoid by jumping on the nearest vine) or try to blow you away.
When he uses this attack, don't run away, simply stay on the platform and run
forward to avoid being blown away. Once he's done attacking, transform into
the Fruzard and shoot the boss' eyes. Repeat this process until he sinks down.

He will then come back and start breathing fire at you, but never stop to try
attacking him, keep jumping from vine to vine and eventually, your path will
be blocked. Transform into a Fruzard again and enter the sniper mode. The boss
will shoot two fireballs at you. Shoot both, then shoot his eyes. Repeat this
process until he disappears again.

He'll come back a last time and try to blow you away. Press forward to stay on
the platform and once he stops attacking, shoot his eyes. Repeat until he's
defeated.





LEVEL 9    ------------
*********** m) Voidrem *******************************************************
           ------------



Follow the path at the start and enter the cave. Break open the shell at the
right with an Electric Bomb (there's a vine at the start if you need one) to
get a CRYSTAL GEM (1/10). Then, fight the enemies in that cave and defeat the
first Swoom. After this, climb up the cliff at the right and defeat the 
enemies here too to fight the second Swoom. Then, slide down the slope to end
up in the next area.

Here, use the camouflage to get past the Trapper, then go in the middle of the
area and fight the enemies and the third Swoom. After the fight, you'll get a 
CRYSTAL GEM (2/10). Then, use the camouflage again and follow the trail of
Klokkies to reach the other side of the area. Enter the cave here.

Jump on the stepy stones to reach the other side, then use the camouflage to
get past the Trappers and reach the next side. Fight the enemies here and the
fourth and fifth Swooms. Go straight then and use the camouflage again to get
past the Trappers. On the other side, fight more enemies here along with the
sixth Swoom. Then, look around this area to spot a CRYSTAL GEM (3/10) in the
mud. Go get it using the camouflage.

Then, use the camouflage again and follow the trail of Klokkies to reach the
next area. Here, jump on the platforms over the mud and grab the CRYSTAL GEM
(4/10) on one of them. Then keep jumping on the platforms until you reach an
area where you'll need to fight more enemies and the two last Swooms. You can
now transform into a Swoom.

Jump into the water and you'll be back in the entrance area. First thing to
do, swim around in the water until you spot a ring. Swim through it to start
a challenge. Swim through all the rings that appear without missing a single
one and you'll receive a CRYSTAL GEM (5/10).

Then, go back to the surface and from the entrance, go straight ahead and
enter the cave. This time, transform into the Swoom and jump in the water 
inside the cave. Swim straight ahead and you'll come to a gate. What you need
to do in order to open that gate is to hit the three yellow switches nearby.
Once it's open, go through and swim to the next area, avoiding the enemies
and obstacles along the way. Hit the three yellow switches here too and the
gate will open.

Keep swimming straight ahead and you'll emerge in a larger area this time. Go
back to the surface and jump on the platform in the center. Defeat all the
enemies here to get a CRYSTAL GEM (6/10). Then, you'll need to find the three
yellow switches around this area to open the next gate. There are all on the
ground, so don't look underwater. The first one is on a platform with some
fake cocoons. The second one is on a platform with Ratos, and for the third
one, jump on the vine near the Ratos and you'll get to the third one.

Once you've hit them all, go back underwater and through the passage where the
gate was. You'll notice that the path splits in two here. Start by going in
the left tunnel and at the end, go back to the surface and jump on the ground.
Defeat all the enemies here to get a CRYSTAL GEM (7/10).

Then, go back to the intersection and this time, go in the path at the right.
Hit the three yellow switches in the tunnel to open the gate at the end. Go
straight ahead to end up in an outside area. Go right and break open the shell
to get a CRYSTAL GEM (8/10). Then, follow the path and defeat all the enemies.
Jump on the platforms over the mud and grab the CRYSTAL GEM (9/10) on the
pillar at the right.

Then, go to the end of the path and jump back in the water. Swim until you
emerge in a large area. You'll have to find the three switches again. The two
first switches are on small platforms in the corners of the area. For the 
third switch, jump on the platform with the Klokkies and climb to the top. 
Slide down the slope here and you'll find the third switch at the end. The
gate will now open so go through to the next area.

Go to the surface of the water and jump on the platform in the center. Follow
the path and you'll come to a CRYSTAL GEM (10/10) in plain view. Then, climb 
up and jump on the vine. Defeat all the enemies in the next area, then climb 
to the top and grab the EGG.

At the start, go straight and enter the cave on your right. Break open the 
shell inside for a CRYSTAL GEM (1/10). If you don't have any Electric Bombs
with you, just come back later when you have some. Go back outside and 
transform into the Fruzard. Enter the sniper mode and look in the air to see
a yellow target. Shoot it and a platform will appear so you can cross to the
other side. Climb to the top and jump on the vine here.

The vine splits in two, so jump on the vine at the right and at the end you
will land in another area. Here, shoot the lamp-like plant as a Fruzard to get
a CRYSTAL GEM (2/10). Then, go straight on the narrow path to find an EGG.
Back at the entrance of the level, go back to the first vine and this time,
stay on it to land in a cave.

Go straight inside, then go down at the left and use the camouflage to sneak 
past the cactus to find a shell behind. Break it open with an Electric Bomb
for a CRYSTAL GEM (3/10). Then, keep going further into the cave until you
are back outside. Shoot the dragons in the air, then jump on the pillars and
grab the CRYSTAL GEM (4/10) on the pillar at the right. Keep jumping on them
until you reach a platform where you'll need to defeat a bunch of enemies.

Then jump on the vine to reach the next area. Here, transform into a Fruzard
and shoot the target in the air. Jump on the platform that appears and shoot
the next target, but only when it's yellow. Reach the other side, then go on
the ledge at the left and use the camouflage to avoid the cactus. Follow the
wall and once in the middle, go on the narrow path leading to a shell. Break
it open for a CRYSTAL GEM (5/10).

Go back to the wall and follow it to the end. Jump on the vine here to reach
the next area. Once there, go straight and transform into the Fruzard. Before
crossing to the other side, you'll need to defeat the big enemy on the other
side. Shoot his head from where you are, and also the fireballs he throws at
you. Once he's defeated, shoot the targets in the air and cross to the other
side using the platforms.

Once there, climb up the path to reach the next area. Here, go left and jump
on the platforms with the cocoons. Enter the sniper mode and look in the air
to spot a floating balloon above the path you just climbed. Shoot it to get
a CRYSTAL GEM (6/10). Then, go straight from the path you climbed and shoot
the dragon in the air. Defeat the big enemy on the other side, then cross
to the other side using the targets and platforms.

Here, climb up the path to the next area. Before continuing ahead, jump at 
the left of the path after climbing it and enter the sniper mode. Look in the
air to see some balloons above the path you climbed. There are three windows
in the wall, and you can see the floating balloons through them. Shoot the
balloon hidden behind the wall in the middle window (you can barely see it,
but try to shoot it once you spot it) to get a CRYSTAL GEM (7/10).

Then, go straight and shoot the dragons and the big enemy on the other side.
Shoot the targets in the air then and jump on the platforms to reach the 
other side. Defeat all the enemies here, then look at the right to see a
Crystal Gem floating in the air. Shoot the targets above to make platforms
appear and jump on them to reach it. Use your tongue to grab the CRYSTAL GEM
(8/10).

Then, go straight in the passage and jump on the pillars to cross the gap. 
Jump on the vine on the other side and when the vine splits in two, jump on
the vine at the right to reach a new area. Defeat all the enemies here, then
jump on the pillars and shoot the lamp-like plant on the pillar at the left
to get a CRYSTAL GEM (9/10). 

Cross to the other side and shoot the targets in the air to make platforms 
appear and jump on them to reach the other side. Use the camouflage to walk
past the cactus, then at the end of the path, enter the sniper mode and shoot
the big enemy throwing rocks ahead. Then, drop down in the area below and use
the camouflage to pass between the cactus in the path. Stop in the little
alcove at the left where the Klokkies are and enter the sniper mode. Shoot
the big rock throwing enemy above the path at the right, then safely make it
to the end of the path and shoot the big enemy on the other side. Then shoot
the targets and cross.

Enter the cave on the other side and defeat all the enemies inside. Then, go
outside and break open the shell with an Electric Bomb to get the last 
CRYSTAL GEM (10/10). Then go straight ahead and grab the EGG.

it.
