Dead To Rights - Strategy Guide (Page 02)
Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Dead To Rights - Strategy Guide (Page 02).
Walk up to the woman, and take the key she gives you, and then proceed
straight, extinguishing more of the fire in front of you. It will run out, and
Jack will discard it. Now enter the door on the left. Take the other fire
extinguisher and head back out, and turn left and extinguish more of the fire.
Now turn left to see a door you cannot yet access...and then proceed down the
steps and hang a left...go all the way down the end of this hallway, kill the
enemies, and then talk to the man hiding here. He'll give you the key for
that door. Now turn around and go allll the way to the other end of this hall
way, and grab the fire extinguisher on the wall. Now go and open the door.
Follow the path to the next door, and enter it. Spray the fire blocking your
path and continue up the steps.
Now go right up the steps, and then through the door on the right. Follow this
path killing enemies, and right before you get to the door you must exit
through, go across from it and grab the armor behind the trash can. Now enter
the door. Turn left to see another one of those circular areas. Shoot the
enemies, and then turn right. When you get to where your passage is blocked
hang a left up the steps. Walk all around those racks to find a man here. Talk
to him and he'll give you a key. Now backtrack, and you'll find a door you can
now open on the left. Grab the fire extinguisher and head back to the area
where you found the man. There's some steps that you can go down, but your
path from there is blocked by fire. So use the fire extinguisher on these
flames, and then enter the door on the left. Activate the sprinklers in this
room, and then leave the room. Now go and backtrack, all the way back to
where you started. Head left up the steps which was previously blocked by
fire.
Now, at this area...yea...GO RIGHT up the freaking steps, and hang a left
through the door. Kill the enemies here, and on the right in a small room
is a man WHINING. So shoot him I..I mean go and politely talk to him, and
he'll give you the key. There's some health in the room too. Now exit.
Go up the steps and kill the enemies in the center of this circular area,
then go straight ahead down the steps. Hang a left, follow the path, then
hang a right. Go into the room with the green box on it to find Gloria.
Now follow her, and Enemies will come blazing at ya. Kill them quickly, and
then proceed. In the next area kill the enemies, and then proceed. Now go
up the steps on the left.
In this next area, go right up the steps and grab the armor and shotgun, and
then proceed through the door.
Now it's time to do battle. Refer to the boss section for help on this one.
----Chapter 8----
A Boatload of Trouble
From the start of the level head right, and try and open the 2 doors with the
red box on it. This brings about 4 or 5 enemies from the other side of the
level out to play. Shoot them and take the key one of them has. Now, before
you go into the door, walk past it, and at the end on the right hand side behind
a large crate is some armor. Now head through the door.
Now in this room, go into wall mode and hide behind the large block. Shoot
the enemies and one of them will drop a key card. Take this card, and head up
the steps on the left side of the room, and then at the very end of this walk
way is a switch you can press. Press it, and more baddies will come. Kill
them and near the bottom of the steps, is the door you will need to leave
through.
Walk straight down the plank in front of you to the boat. Take a left once
you get on the boat to get some armor, and then proceed up the next plank taking
out the enemies as you go. Now follow the plank to the door, and open it. You
will need to pick the lock.
Now in this next area kill the baddies and pick up the key card one of them will
drop. Now go to the north side of the room, and take a LEFT up the steps. Then
take a left at the top of the steps. Follow the path until it turns left again
and right at this corner, drop down on the small lift to get the armor, then
drop down. Now go the north side again, and behind the RIGHT stair case is
some health if you need it. If not go behind the LEFT stair case to find the
door.
Now take out the sniper above you in this next area, followed by taking out more
baddies. Straight ahead to the back of the level, behind a net holding a bunch
of boxes (on the right) is some health. Take it if you need it, if not go to
the left side of this area and open the door. You will need to pick the lock.
In this next area, take a right if you need some health, if not go left and
follow the path to the right, and then right again. Head towards the door
you can't access yet, and more enemies will come. First take the armor near
here, and then shoot the enemies. Take the key card, and go back and open the
door.
Now in this next area, be aware of the sniper on the roof straight ahead, and
the enemy with the grenade thrower. He's near the wall on the right side, I
would run there and take him out first, and then kill the sniper. Notice the
fence with the red box on it. You will need some wire cutters. An enemy will
drop them, so follow the path until you get to the wooden planks on your left.
go down the plank and then hang a right. At the back of this boat you're on, is
some armor if you need it. Otherwise, go straight ahead up the other plank.
Take out the sniper on the roof here, and then go straight down the plank to
the other boat. Take a left and grab the health pick up, and now you should
have killed the enemy by now that has the wire cutters. Go back to the place
where you had to use them, and then um...use them. Now go back to the set of
planks before the boat which had the health pick up on it, hang a right
and go to the next area. On the left side behind two house looking objects is
some armor and health. Grab those if you need it, and then proceed to the door
which is right of the plank you walked off of.
Kill the enemies and grab the keycard. There are health pick ups on the right
and left side of this area. The door is just straight ahead.
Now, there is some armor just right of you behind a large crate. Kill the
clowns in this area, there are some canisters on the left and right walls if you
need them. After they are dead you will need to fight the copter. When this
fight begins you're safely hidden behind some crates with ropes tied around
them. When the copter stops firing, run to the other crates on the left side.
and hide there. There's a rocket launcher a bit to the right in the middle of
this area. It will respawn once you fire all of the rockets out of it. So you
will have to quickly run, grab it, run back, fire when safe, run and grab the
launcher again, etc. Repeat this process until you destroy it. Once it's dead
turn around, and find the forklift on the left. Find the green box on it,
and use the action button. Now right before you leave the area, turn left
and pick up the health and armor, then leave.
Now in this area, kill the enemies to get the key card, and then use it on the
panel behind the fenced in area on the left side of the room. This will spark
more enemies, so kill them, and then run up the steps on the north side of the
room and enter the door at the top.
In this next area, hide behind the crates on the left and try and take out
some enemies. Then proceed down the ramp. Take a left at the bottom and go
behind the fenced in area. Walk all the way around here to get to the next
area. Now head until you see a small metal walk way on the left and then walk
across it, then across another a little to the right. Hang a left, then a
right, and then another right, and then proceed left behind this fenced in area.
Now walk to the end to see the green box. Press it, and it will say you will
need more weight to activate it. So wait until an enemy gets close by
and then grab him for a human shield, and then drag him to the box. Press the
action button, and then kill the poor sap, and proceed through the door.
In this next area, the door will open up and down and enemies will shoot at you
so hide behind the second set of crates and pick them off. Now when you enter
the door, straight ahead of you behind a block of ice is some armor. So grab
it. Kill the enemies to find the thermostat card, and then on the NORTH WEST
corner of this area, behind a crate is the panel to adjust the temperture. Now
walk up the steps and follow the path to the door. Grab the health and weapons
you find along the way too.
Now follow the path in this area, taking the health if you need it and enter the
door. In the this area, go straight ahead, taking the armor and the keycard
after you shoot the enemy. Now open the door. In this next area, walk up the
ramp and shoot the enemy that comes out of the door. Go through the door and
through the next door. Keep following the path until you are on a catwalk. Now
follow it to the right and go through the door at the end. Go through the next
door and kill the enemies. Grab the keycard and go through the next door.
Now follow the straight forward passages to meet up with Longshoreman X. Refer
to the boss section for help if you need it.
Now this will bring back some MGS memories. The good old mash
buttons to withstand the torture routine. You will have to withstand this
drowning torture 3 times, until you can continue. It will give you instructions
on how to live through it.
After you've withstood the torture, you'll be fighting hand to hand for awhile.
I know, I know. Don't get all pissy. Just live with it. It's pretty brief, but
like all hand to hands it's just a pain in the ass and not very fun to do.
Ok, now, after you're rescued, and have control of Jack again, enter the door
on Jack's left. Start fighting off the construction workers, as you make your
way to the next room. One of them will drop a key. You'll need it to enter
the door in the second room. If you can't find the door, you seriously need
to stop playing video games. :)
Now in this next area, take out the workers, then proceed left, and then right
to do battle with more of them. There's some health behind the first set of
boxes tied down with rope in this area. Now go right again, and take out more.
one of the workers will have a key, use it to go through the door all the way up
against this wall.
In this area, fight all the workers again, and get the health straight ahead
next to those pipes. Enter the door on the other side. There's also some armor
inside of the fenced in area, straight across from the door.
WOOHOO! I hear a gun. So find the punk and disarm him...and pray you don't
snap his neck...god that pisses me off. Ok, now at the back of this Level
start fighting the baddies, and straight ahead you'll see an enemy shooting at you
from atop of a staircase. So go run there as you shoot him, take his key and
the armor and health up here. Now go back down the staircase, and turn right as
you get off, and enter the door underneath the staircase.
Start killing enemies and watch out for the sniper. Now go straight ahead to see
a door that's locked. More enemies will come, so kill them and get the key and
then proceed through the door.
Kill the enemies, get the keycard, and go in the elevator in the center of the
room. As you get off, go right, then left, and behind a crate is some armor.
Now turn the around and go all the way around the area, until you reach the stair
case and then go down it. Start killing enemies, and try to find the key card
which activates the door on the other side. You may need to go to the top level
again to kill those enemies to find it. Once you do, enter the door on the second
level.
Go down the steps, kill the enemies, and behind the dumbster like thing on the left
wall is some armor. On the right side behind a crate is full health. Now enter the
door.
Kill the enemies and find the key. Behind the right stair case is some armour.
when you find the key, go up the right stair case and enter the door. Now shoot
these enemies, and grab the health and ammo if you need it. Now more enemies will
come. Shoot them to find the other key needed to open the door in this room.
Now, go down the stair case and start blasting more enemies. One of them has the
FREAKING key of course, so grab it and enter the door on the left side. I forgot
how much I hated this damn level. Sorry.
Kill the enemies, walk up the staircase on the back side of the room, follow the
path, and at the end grab the armor and hit the switch. Now kill the enemies as
you backtrack and as you get off the steps, turn right to go through the door.
Kill the enemies, find the key and on the right side of the level, go through the
gate. Now turn left and use these trucks and such for cover as you take out more
enemies. There's some armor behind the second truck if you need it. Kill all
these enemies to exit this stupid, repetitive, long ass boring level.
----Chapter 9----
A Billion In Bullion
Ok, make your way to the left side of the level, while keeping alive and shooting
enemies. Right before you go up the steps, go inside of the trailer across from it
to get some armor and such. Now proceed up the winding steps. Make your way
around, killing enemies and then proceed through the door on the other side.
Now go straight and grab the armor, kill the enemies, grab the health, and enter
through the doors on the other end.
Now in this room, it's a big square area. So start shooting enemies. After you
kill them all and walk a bit, more will come...so kill them as well. Now head
down the stairs on the west side of this room. Down here, grab the health if you
need it, and in the middle of this room, is a stair case. Climb it to reach the
security guard inside of the caged in area. Kill him and take the key, and now
backtrack up the stairs, and enter the door on the north side.
Now, keep going straight. Get the health at the left before leaving, and then
proceed.
Now, this is a biznitch. Kill the enemies, and go down the steps again in this
area on the west side. Take a left and make your way to the back side of the area
to get the armor and the health. Now backtrack and take a right when you can to
go under the area where the guard is. Now quickly run up there and snuff him, and
then start shooting at the Turret underneath you with your best weapon while
strafing. Now hit the switch up here to open the door above you, and then kill
all the enemies high and low and then enter the door.
This next area is straight forward. Kill the baddies and grab the armor on the
left besides the crate, and then enter.
Follow this path and then proceed down the steps. Shoot the enemies and check
the trailers for armor and health pick ups. Kill the enemies to find....yes...
Tattoo again. Refer to the boss section for help defeating him. Pick up his M60
and the key he dropped. Then enter the gate on the far side of this room.
Now, you're back in the sewers. Cool A? Ok, turn right and shoot the guard and
proceed through the fan object. Follow the path through another fan object, and
grab the armor on the left side and the canister if you want to. Now proceed
right. Now grab the health by the gate here and turn right again. Now
make the first left you see and inch your way across the ledge. Once across, grab
the armor straight ahead and follow the path left. Make a right and look out for
the guard with the flame gun. Follow this path straight all the way out of here.

7: Tips and Helpful Strategies
===============================================================================
Here's a couple of hints if you get stuck.
If you're running low on life, and there's no armor available, the best thing
to do is grab yourself a human shield.
Also if there's mad enemies on the screen, try to use your most powerful
weapon and dive/slow mo them. You can take out a lot this way.
Use Shadow! Shadow can help just by taking out one pesky enemy. Also useful
if you find yourself running out of weapons, ammo, etc, as Shadow will retrieve
the enemy's gun for you.
If you're not planning on using the walkthrough, and are just using this for
other references, you may come across a door you cannot open yet. It will have
a red highlight in the middle. Use the X button to learn more about what you
have to do in order to gain entrance.
Crouch behind stuff, and use wall mode. This will help a lot in later levels
where the enemies get a little tougher.
Of course these are just basic pointers for now. I will add more in-depth
strategies when I think of them :).
===============================================================================
8: Boss Strategies
===============================================================================
Boss: Boris. Fought in: Chapter 2
Boris is pretty easy. Use your favorite combo's on him, and throw to add in
some extra damage. Try your best to dodge his attacks, then unleash with
attacks of your own. This seems to be the universal strategy for most Hand-
to-Hand bosses.
Boss: Dimitri. Fought in: Chapter 2
Dimitri wields a nice shotgun. If he hits ya, it will hurt quite a bit. Use
the canister on him to bring a lot of HP down. Also back diving while in slow
motion is a good way as well, firing off many rounds. It's also a good idea
to save some shotgun ammo from one of the bouncers, to use on Dimitri. Piece
of cake buddies.
Boss: Sickle. Fought in: Chapter 3
You gotta save yer dog, man! Ok, I hope you mastered the throw counter. And..
blocking/dodging. Right? RIGHT? If Sickle throws ya, it will hurt Jack a lot.
make sure you counter his throws as much as you can. Dodge his attacks, and
hit and run. He'll counter your throws a lot, so if this happens, quickly
execute a combo move.
Boss: Tattoo. Fought in: Chapter's 3 and 9
You have to try and focus your attention on Tattoo. He'll have 2 of his
friends with him and they will attack you. Throw Tattoo as much as you can,
and stick and move. He's not that tough, but his cronies are a pest. Attack
them only if they get in the way, and then concentrate most of your moves just
on Tattoo.
Boss: Horse. Fought in: Chapter 4
Kind of like Tattoo. There will be enemies around, but trying to kill them
before you kill Horse, won't do any good. After you kill one, another will
appear. Again focus your attention on Horse. Dodge, Throw Break, Kick and
punch. Try and get him up against a corner, and throw him as much as you can.
Boss: 3 Assassins. Fought in: Chapter 4
Ok, this fight is kinda tough. DIVE SLOW MO THEM. Most of them. After you
kill one, take their weapon, and use it on the next, and etc. Use some of the
other enemies as human shields. Keep yourself at a safe distance, back
track and fire, and strafe from side to side. Always keep yourself moving.
Boss: Fat Chow. Fought in: Chapter 4
Fat Chow wields a rocket launcher, and sometimes, one shot and yer gone.
The best thing to do is to backdive and slow motion him while firing a shot
gun. There is armor in the ally way, and health pick ups, so you may want to
grab those before you get to close. Zig-Zagging a good distance away from him,
while firing is another good method, just keep moving and try not to stay in
one place for to long and you should take him down easily.
Boss: Clown Van. Fought in: Chapter 5
Ugh. This one kind of sucks. Ok, your target is the mini-gun that's firing
at you from the back of the van. KEEP MOVING. The mini-gun will kick the
crap out of you. There is armor at the top left corner along with many
canisters you will need to take it down. There's also health near the back
left corner as well. Take cover when you hear the blasts, and when you don't
hear the blasts, grab the canister and run towards the middle. Toss it up
and shoot it in the air when it's next to the gun...and then run like the
shirtless guy on cops. Rinse and repeat. Also, beware of the many enemies
that will come after you as well. Ignore them as much as possible, so you can
end this fight quickly.
Boss: Patch Fought in: Chapter 6
Ok you are shooting a mini-gun from a helicopter. When Patch shoots his
rockets at you from the top of the limo, you must blow them out of the air
before they hit the chopper. 2 other cars are driving with him, and you must
take them out as well. You have to shoot all 4 wheels, all the doors, the hood
the engine, the windows, the trunk, the windshield, etc. Your crosshair will
light up red when it's near one of those objects. You must do this for the 2
cars, and Patch's limo. You can try and shoot Patch as well before he shoots
his rockets, but you have to be quick.
Boss: Antorcha. Fought in: Chapter 7
Ok this one is a pain in the ass. This guy has a crap load of health, plus
full armor, PLUS!! DAMMIT! A flame gun. Yeah. And he's cocky too. Pssh.
If you need health there's some all the way at the right side of this stage
in the corner. Keep MOVING at all costs. Sometimes you can lure the other
enemies in front of the flame, but my suggestion to you is to back track and
fire. Diving backwards in slow motion is also good. Stay a good distance away
from this jack ass, and pray to god you have full armor, health, a shotgun,
and a miracle coming to ya. Naw, it's not that bad. If he starts getting
closer to you, RUN. There's more shotgun ammo at the start of the level, if
you just go left a bit, plus enemies will carry them too. Just keep back
tracking and firing, and you should do ok.
Boss: Longshoreman X. Fought in: Chapter 8
Ok directly behind you on the left side of a small ice block is some armor. So
grab it. This guy likes to go back and forth between two rooms, so basically
all you have to do is follow him. He has a short lag time after he fires two
arrows, so if you want to play it safe, there ya go. There's a shotgun that
respawns in room two, and a M60 that respawns in room 1. So if and when you
run out of bullets, make sure you quickly grab those two weapons. Use the ice
blocks and stuff for cover, and if you can, dive in slow motion to target him.
Also, the best weapon for this fight is the shotgun.
Boss: Tattoo. Fought in: Chapter's 3 and 9
Ok, this fight is pretty simple. Tattoo will back off a lot, while firing, but
as long as you kept your health and ammo you found inside of the trailers, this
fight should be a piece of cake. Slow Motion works well, as well as a trusty
shotgun. Try to strafe and pump off as many rounds as you can so you don't get
destroyed by his M60. Sometimes if you can't find Tattoo, he will be inside of a
trailer...but he usually doesn't stay for long. Just stick and move and duck and
cover when you need too. Like all bosses. :) Ya see a pattern here guys?

10: FAQs
===============================================================================
Q: Can you post some combination configureations?
A: Well, there are all in the manual. I'll post them here though.
P. P,P. P,P,P. P,P,P,P. P,K. P,P,K. P,P,P,K.
K. K,K. K,K,K. K,K,K,K. K,P. K,K,P. K,K,P,P. K,P,P. K,P,P,P. P+K.
Q: What are some bomb disarm strategies?
A: Basically what I found that works best for me, is moving the pin as you
rotate the bomb. It's kind of tricky at first, but soon you can do it in your
sleep. This saves a lot of time, to have the bomb allready rotated as you get
ready to guide your pin through the hard to see areas.
Keep the questions coming. I really do not mind at all answering them. But
keep in mind in order for me to post them here, they can't allready be covered
in the guide. I realize I haven't yet completed the walkthrough or the boss
sectons, but stuff that will eventually be in the guide, you can still ask
about, they just won't be posted. :) Still, I don't mind at all helping
anyone out. I just really need something for this section, so try and help
a brotha out. :).
