WWF ATTITUDE V3.0
Moves, Secrets and Characters FAQ (plus a whole lot more!)
by The 64 Chimp

Attitude PSX Release Date: Out Now!
Attitude N64 Release Date: Out Now!

LAST UPDATED: Wednesday 30th September 1999

AN IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE WE BEGIN!!!!

I'd just like to thank everyone who has helped to make this FAQ as
good as it is. Basically, I feel that the FAQ is as complete as it
can be (discounting the Create-A-Wrestlers) and so the number of
updates is going to drop a bit. I'll still be in and out to change
the biogs and CAWs as they come in but other than that, I'm about
done. This doesn't mean you have to stop mailing me though! Check
back in a couple of months for my totally exclusive guide to the N64
wrestling extravaganza, WWF Wrestlemania 2000!

---------------------------

The Legal Bit

Obviously, this FAQ is copyright to me although seeing as it's a
moves list, I'm not exactly going to be able to stop people writing
the same stuff. Still, if you want to use it before the game comes
out (and you won't be able to get the moves any other way so I'll
know) then you'll need to ask me by e-mail:
monkeyboy38@theglobe.com. So there.

WWF Attitude is developed by Acclaim Studios Austin (Formerly
Iguana, Formerly Sculptured Software) and published by Acclaim

If there's any other legal stuff I've forgotten...well, I forgot.
Sorry.

Version Updates

• V0.1 (3/8/99) – Posted the complete moves list. Other details will
be added as soon as I've finished some other major work I'm doing in
a couple of weeks time...

• V0.2 (5/8/99) - Tried to post the moves again after my first
attempt to send them was sadly ignored. The people need to know the
correct moves that have been tried and tested rather than just
printed by magazines from rubbish moves books!

Added Quick Reference Finishers and Trademarks List.

Added Cheats, Tips and Hidden Wrestlers Section.

• V0.3 (9/8/99) - Added Thanks section (even though it's a bit empty
at the moment) and corrected a lot of the spelling mistakes...if
there were any!

Added Thrasher's Trademark Move.

Added Mosh's Trademark Move.

Added Jacqueline's Trademark Move.

Corrected Bradshaw's Trademark and Finisher Moves (by switching them
over...oops)

• V0.4 (10/8/99) - Added an important note about tossing opponents
out of the ring during matches seeing as I've had so much e-mail
about it!

Changed the reference to the Royal Rumble in the cheats section
because I don't like being given abuse for something so stupid.

Added a mild request for a WWF event calendar to be sent to me by
mail (see the Thanks section).

Added a special note for PlayStation users.

Updated Thanks List

• V0.5 (11/8/99) - Added a section telling people where this FAQ can
be viewed and saying how great the websites are!

Added new move to the 'Tossing Opponents Out Of The Ring' section.

Wrote a new section and re-opened the debate on exactly what Gangrel
and Christian's finishing moves are called!

Amended the Playstation buttons translation list.

Changed all the Signature moves to Trademark moves (because that's
what they are in the game).

Updated Thanks List.

• V0.6 (12/8/99) - The Ganrgel / Christian Finisher name debate
rages on in all its glory!

Added a new version of The Rock's 'People's Elbow' trademark move to
the moves list.

Made some minor cosmetic changes (Mark Mero is actually spelt Marc
Mero...doh).

Added a section about calling in your Tag partner during matches,
tagging out and calling for help from backstage.

Added a section about the WWF Calendar because two people sent it to
me.

Added a special 'Create-A-Wrestler' section for people to send in
their own creations of wrestlers that they'd like to see and have
made themselves. Today - 'The Big Show' Paul Wight and Hardcore
Holly!

Updated Thanks List

• V0.61 (12/8/99 - afternoon) - Added a SPECIAL NOTE to the bottom
of the Cheats, Tips and Hidden Wrestlers section to take into
account the fact that not everyone will win all the matches! Some
people are also losing their cheats because of an annoying little
flaw in the game so I've added a bit about this too.

Added more fuel to the fire of the Gangrel / Christian debate.

• V1.0 (13/8/99) - Finally added the Character Biographies section
thanks to the man, WM2kFan@aol.com

Added all of the event names to the WWF Calendar list.

Added another version of 'The Big Show' Paul Wight to the Create-A-
Wrestler section.

More Gangrel / Christian stuff.

Updated Thanks List

• V1.1 (14/8/99) - A slow update day. Changed the link to 'The EZE
Report' in the Thanks List. Sorry Erik!

Added Pee-Wee Herman to the Create-A-Wrestler section. Why is
nobody sending me any of these? The FAQ created by
CookingWithTheRock has TONS of these! Please, somebody send me some
decent ones (like the new god in the WWF, Chris Jericho!).

• V1.2 (17/8/99) - Updates the Create-A-Wrestler section by adding
The Blue Meanie, Mr T, The British Bulldog, Sabu, Ernest 'The Cat'
Miller and...wait for it...Chris Jericho!

Changed the Calendar section according to the information on
WWW.com.

Updated the Character Biographies section.

Finally added a date for the release of the N64 version (US).
Hoorah!

No more news on the Gangrel / Christian Debate. They wrestled one
another on Raw Is War (9/8/99) and the only thing Jim Ross said was
'What a DDT!'. Bugger.

Updated Thanks List.

• V1.3 (18/8/99) - Added Pamela Anderson, Sting, Viscera, Conan O'
Brien and Kermit The Frog to the Create-A-Wrestler section.

Changed the E-mail address of SctMasterB to WM2kFan@aol.com.

• V1.4 (19/8/99) - Added Kurt Ragnarok to the Create-A-Wrestler
list...yes, I know he breaks the rules by not being a real wrestler
or famous person but seeing as Erik sent it in, I'll let just this
one slip by...

Corrected the Trademark and Signature moves for the Big Boss Man.

Updated Thanks List

• V1.5 (24/8/99) - Sorry for the long absence...I've had a LOAD of
things to do that were slightly more important (eg paid money) than
doing this!

Added Shane McMahon and Tori to the Create-A-Wrestler list.

Updated the Character Biographies list.

Changed the WWF Calendar again.

Began to insert a complete PlayStation clothing list for all the
characters (thanks to Erik for this).

Finally got a free copy of WWF Attitude from Acclaim! Admittedly it
was a PSX version but who am I to complain???

Updated Thanks List.

• V1.6 (26/8/99) - Added another Shane McMahon (Summerslam version)
to the Create-A-Wrestler list.

Added more clothing to the Character Clothing List.

• V1.7 (27/8/99) - Updated the Character Biographies since the
Summerslam / Raw Is War drama of recent dates!

• V2.0 (2/9/99) – What a bugger. The Dreamcast release (in the UK
anyway) has slipped by nearly a month! Thank god I've got a Japanese
one...

Updated the Biogs because of various title changes.

Added Goldburg, Taz and Raven to the Create-A-Wrestler list.

Some people really do make me sick. Take for example the person who
mailed me a complete list of over 100 Create-A-Wrestler characters
for me to put up. Good, eh? NO. They (and I say 'they' because I
refuse to even give them the chance to see their name on this page)
stole them ALL from the FAQ of Jim Chamberlin, another person who
worked incredibly hard to create his FAQ. I mailed him twice to make
sure I could use them - after all, they make up the numbers - but he
hasn't replied yet. This is why I have posted all of them up.
However, if you read this Jim and would like me to take them down,
MAIL ME IMMEDIATELY and I will. Sorry if this makes me sound silly
but PLAGURISM SUCKS. End of lecture. To the person who mailed them
to me...well, I repeat what Jim put at the bottom of his FAQ – take
your plagurised CAWs, turn that son-of-a-bitch sideways and stick it
straight up your candy ass. I thank you.

Finished off the Character Clothing List.

• V2.1 (7/9/99) - Almost certainly the last update for a while...

Edited the Create-A-Wrestler section because a few of us FAQ writers
are getting a little sick of all this plagurism stuff. I'm
interested in the moves and stuff as well as people sending me CAWs
but to be honest I'm not putting stuff up if it's been nicked. For a
MASSIVE list of CAW stuff, go back to and check out
the FAQ written by Jim Chamberlin – I took down the ones nicked from
his so he now has the definitive list!

Added another place where you can check out this FAQ!

Totally corrected the introduction text for the Clothing section.

Added a WANTED LIST to the front of the FAQ – these are things that
haven't been found yet in the game and clearly do exist due to
various bits of info I've got (like all different modes being
mentioned in the code of the game if you use a PC to view it and so
on). Check it out and if you know the answers, let me know!!!

Changed the WWF Calendar - this month's event is called Unforgiven,
NOT No Mercy!!!

Updated the Thanks List.

• V3.0 (30/9/99) - The FINAL update to this FAQ ever...unless
someone can pull out a REALLY good piece of information to warrant
me putting it up.

- Completed all of the requests in the WANTED list. We've found out
the true facts so don't try and lie to me! I'll give you an example
– some idiot I was talking to the other day claimed that he had
found both Shane and Vince McMahon in the game, despite the fact
that they DON'T EXIST! I told him to stop lying but he was insistant
that he had both of them. When I forced it out of him that he was
using an Action Replay cartridge and (even worse) that he'd only
seen their names and not actually played as them, I slapped him
silly and banished him from my realm. Idiot!

i) The WANTED List - What We Still Need To Find Out!

The WANTED list is now officially closed. All the problems have
answers to them now so if you don't know something, check below
before e-mailing your question to me!

• Calling in Outside Interference
There must be a way of doing it without having to have your energy
on Red while your opponent's is on Green. Don't give me none of that
'Hold down all the shoulder buttons' crap either 'cause we know it
doesn't work!

ANSWER - You can't! It's a random event that only happens when
you're having your ass well and truely beaten.

• Extra Attribute Scores
Is there a way of pushing your attributes above 39 points?

ANSWER - Not without an Action Replay / Gameshark cartridge, no.

• H-War Mode / Hell In The Cell / Training Mode
Are these all hidden modes contained in the game or are they simply
written in the code but not activated in the finished product?

ANSWER - These were all options for alternative match modes but they
were removed before the game shipped.

• Camera Mode
Can you change the camera angles during a match? Apparently, the
manual says you can...

ANSWER - No, you can't. Another pre-production thing that was taken
out.

• Changing Costumes (N64 Version only)
No-one seems to have been able to change wrestlers costumes in the
N64 version of the game. Does anyone know how to do it?

ANSWER - Again, you can't. This is an option that was reserved
specifically for the PSX version, although why then that several of
the wrestler appear in their other clothes during the demo mode on
the N64 version is beyond me.

ii) Where To View This FAQ

This WWF Attitude FAQ is hosted at the following gaming hints n'
tips websites so check them all out!

Obviously, the centre of many people's cheats, tips and FAQs
universe. Guaranteed to have almost any cheat you could possibly
need...apart from a solution to Illusion Of Time on the SNES. Damn -
I really must write one!

• Cheat Code Central
A top-notch beauty of a site that I use all the time with an
absolute multitude of cheats, tips and other goodies for practically
every system. Cheers to Dave for wanting this FAQ on his holy site!

• Video Games Strategies

comprehensive and groovy...even if my strategy is at the bottom of
the page. Still, it's there and that's what counts!

• Cheaters Win
A new place with loads of bright ideas and potential. Ideal if
you're looking for that up-to-the-minute cheat news – cheers to Greg
for putting my FAQ up there!

If you'd like to add this FAQ to your site (remember, it has to be
unchanged and with my credit on it) then mail me and I'll see what I
can do!

ii) A Special Note For PlayStation Users

If you're reading this and are playing the PlayStation version of
WWF Attitude...hello. In case you hadn't noticed, this guide has
been written with the N64 version of the game in mind - you can tell
this by looking at the button references in the moves list. However,
I know this guide is handy for everyone so I've put a conversion
list of all the buttons for those of you who prefer the Sony thing
to the Nintendo one (personally, I don't mind - I've got a PSX, N64,
Dreamcast, Colour Gameboy, SNES, PC AND an Amiga so I ain't biased,
brutha). Ain't I a sweetie?

Move N64 button PSX button

Kick A Square
Punch B Triange
Tieup C Left Circle
Block / Reverse C Down Cross
Run C Right R2
Climb In / Out C Up L2
Change Focus L L1
Sidestep R R1

---------------------------

1 A Few Pointers

Each wrestler has one 'Finishing' Move and one trademark 'Trademark'
Move. The Finishing Move is marked in each character's moves list
with a single * and can only be performed when the opponent's energy
is red. The Trademark Move is marked in each wrestler's moves list
with a double ** and can be performed once the opponent's energy has
turned yellow, orange or red.

The buttons on the pad act as follows:

D-Pad / Analogue Stick – Move Wrestler Around
A – Kick
B – Punch
C Left – Tieup
C Down – Block / Reverse Move
C Right – Run
C Up – Climb In / Out of Ring, Climb Turnbuckle
L button - Change focus of wrestler (the opponent he faces)

Start - Pause / Unpause

Got all that? Then here come the moves...

1.2 An Important Note About Tossing Opponents Out Of The Ring

Everybody listen up! It seems that a lot of people who have written
to me are having troubles with matches like the Royal Rumble and
Battle Royale because they can't throw opponents over the top rope.
Well, thankfully I'm here to tell you how...

Basically, there is only one move that is certain to get the
opponents out of the ring by throwing them (you can use a hip-toss
if you're REALLY close to the ropes but it's a bit hit and miss). To
do it, you have to DAZE your opponent by repeatedly hitting them and
then when they start to sway about in a daze, press:

Left, Left or Right, Right, C Down

This will cause your wrestler to pick them up and hold them on
his/her shoulder for a brief period of time - you can move about
while you're carrying them. Now move over to the ropes and press the
B button and you'll throw them over the ropes and down to the floor,
eliminating them.

Hope this clears up any confusion...

------------------------------

1.3 Tagging Out, Calling In Your Partner And Outside Interference

I've had a lot of mail about the three above subjects so I thought
it might be a good idea to add a little section about them.
Basically, the rules for all of the above are as follows:

a) Tagging Out
To tag in your partner during a Tag match, move over to where they
are and use L (N64) or L1 (PSX) to change your attention so that you
face them. Now press C Up (N64) or L2 (PSX) to tag them in and start
your five-second illegal ring entry (oo-er) timer.

b) Calling In Your Partner
You can call in your partner by holding down L and R (N64) or L1 and
R1 (PSX) together when he's on the apron. However, this will only
work if their illegal ring entry timer is above One or more and
you're in a situation that warrants him coming in - eg both members
of the opposite team are in the ring or you're in a distressful
situation such as being pinned, in a submission move and so on.

c) Outside Interference
As far as we can tell, the whole Outside Interference thing is
pretty much random. If you're getting your arse whipped then someone
will come out to help you for a short while – other than that, we
don't think there's a way to call them out independently.

IMPORTANT!!!! The whole thing about hold down L1, L2, R1, R2 and
another button (Start/Select/whatever) DOESN'T WORK. Stop telling me
that this is the way to call people in!!!!
