UPDATE & REVISION HISTORY

Apr. 10th, 2004 (v1.02)
- Needed to update my contact information, so I did this for all of my FAQs.
  I ran a spellcheck, and went through the guide by hand so I could try to find
  any errors and fix them. Yes, I'm anal that way.

Mar. 18th, 2004 (v1.01)
- Added new website to "Where This FAQ May Be Found" section.

Mar. 17th, 2004
- Added new section; "Game Vitals". If you are a parent, or just someone who
  is concerned about the game content, check this section. It can be found at
  the end of the guide.

Mar. 15th, 2004
- Changed the look of the "Other FAQs Written" section again, because the last
  changed I made look terrible. One of these days I'll find one that makes me
  happy! Shaved off a bit of excess text.

Mar. 14th, 2004
- Changed the order of the FAQ vitals at the top of FAQ; altered the look of
  the "Contact Information" section.

Mar. 11th, 2004
- Changed the layout of the "Other FAQs Written" section.

Mar. 9th, 2004
- Changed ASCII to something more readable.

Mar. 5th, 2004
- Updated contact information; added ASCII art. Re-did the layout, again, so
  that all the copyright, contact and miscellaneous stuff is at the bottom of
  the FAQ.

Feb. 25th, 2004 (Final)
- The FAQ... is done. Over 100KB worth of text again today. Every wrestler's
  move list is completed. The FAQ is complete. I'll update it periodically
  with any new info I discovered, but for the most part, it's done.

Feb. 24th, 2004 (v0.7)
- Since I haven't updated in a few days, I bring a rather large one today, over
  100KB worth. I finished off the entire third page of wrestlers. The fourth
  and final page will come soon.

Feb. 19th, 2004 (v0.6)
- Been busy the past week, so I got quite behind. I managed to get in a small
  update tonight. I added the move list for Tajiri, and finished off the
  Complete Move List section.

Feb. 15th, 2004 (v0.5)
- Not a large update, but I added move lists for Jamie Noble and Shannon Moore,
  as well as did a portion of the "Complete Move List" section.

Feb. 13th, 2004 (v0.4)
- Finished up the second page of wrestlers. Two more pages left, yippie!
  Time permitting, I'll have the move lists completely finished by the end of
  next week.

Feb. 12th, 2004 (v0.3)
- Later on today... Two move lists done, Bubba Ray and Spike Dudley. I'll get
  a much bigger update tomorrow or Saturday.
- Completed four more move lists, up to Chavo Guerrero; added new section, [12]
  Season Mode. A little tired, so that's all I'll be doing for today.

Feb. 11th, 2004 (v0.2)
- Complete twelve more move lists. The entire first page of wreslters are
  done. More coming later, starting with Chris Jericho.

Feb. 9th, 2004 (v0.1)
- Just started. Got four wrestlers done.

| [1] Guide Introduction                                                      |
|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

This guide is an unofficial FAQ/move list for WWE RAW 2. It'll cover all the
basics, as well as moves for each and every wrestler in the game.

===============================================================================

|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| [2] Basics                                                                  |
|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

The basics of the game are quite simple; defeat your opponent by pinning him,
cause them to submit, or force a ring out/disqualification. At your disposal
are a ton of grapples (body slams, etc.), striking attacks (punches and kicks,
etc.), running moves (clothesline), and more. The game offers quite a few ways
of hurting your opponent. For the basics, read the instruction manual. It
does a good job of conveying the basics.

===============================================================================

|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| [3] Game Modes                                                              |
|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Quick Start
   Quick Start is just that; choose a wrestler, an opponent (human or AI), and
   jump into a fight. You can't choose any advanced options, like rules or
   which arena to fight in.

Exhibition
   Start a one vs. one match. Similar to Quick Start, except you can customize
   the game by choosing various rules and options.

Season
   Begin a new game and climb your way up the ranks of the WWE. You'll go from
   RAW to various pay-per-view events and try to win all the championships you
   can.

King of the Ring
   Enter a four match finals. You'll have to beat three wrestlers to be
   crowned the king.

Tournament
   Enter a tournament with any amount of wrestlers you want.

Royal Rumble
   Be the last man standing in a frantic battle, where there are always four
   wrestlers in the ring.

===============================================================================

|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| [4] Match Types                                                             |
|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Normal
   A normal match is just that; a normal match. Win by pinning your opponent
   in the ring or forcing a ring out.

Hardcore
   A hardcore match lets you win by pinning your opponent inside or outside the
   ring.  You may use objects.

Street Fight
   You can only win by pinning your opponent in the ring, but you're allowed to
   use objects.

Ladder
   Knock your opponent down, get the ladder, set it up, and grab the object
   above the center of the ring. Not easy when you have someone trying to push
   you off.

Table
   To win a Table match, you need to knock your opponent down, get him groggy,
   get the table, set it up, and smash him through it by doing a body slam,
   suplex, or other similar move.

TLC
   Identical to a ladder match, except you're allowed to use tables and chairs
   to aid you.

Battle Royal
   Defeat all your opponents to win a Battle Royal match.

Cage
   The wrestlers are enclosed in a giant steel cage. To win, you need to knock
   your opponent down and climb out of the cage. Careful, though, as the other
   wrestler can knock you back to the ring.

Hell in a Cell
   Similar to a Cage match, the ring is enclosed in a large cell. You can
   break out and grab items. You need to pin your opponent in the ring to win,
   or throw them from the top of the cell.

************************

1 vs. 1
   You versus an opponent and that's it.

1 vs. 1 with Manager
   Each of you can choose to have a manager, who will beat on your opponent
   when they're thrown out of the ring.

2 vs. 2
   A tag team match. You and a buddy versus an opponent and his buddy.

2 vs. 2 Tornado
   Similar to a 2 vs. 2, but any opponent can be pinned for victory.

1 vs. 2
   One wrestler takes on two opposing wrestlers.

1 vs. 3
   One wrestler takes on three opposing wrestlers.

Triple Threat
   Three wrestlers, with no side for any of them, all fight. The winner is the
   one who manages to get in a pinfall.

Fatal Four Way
   Identical to the Triple Threat, except there are four wrestlers instead of
   three.

Armageddon
   Identical to the Triple Threat/Fatal Four Way, except there are six fighting
   at once.

2 vs. 2 with Manager
   Exactly like 1 vs. 1 with Manager, except there are four wrestlers and two
   managers.

2 vs. 2 vs. 2 Tornado
   Three groups of two wrestlers all vying for the win. Anybody can be pinned.

3 vs. 3 Tornado
   Three wrestlers square off against three rivals. Anybody can be pinned.

===============================================================================

|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| [5] Arenas                                                                  |
|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

You can choose from fourteen different arenas, all based on real world WWE
venues.  The available choices are:

Armageddon
Backlash
Judgment Day
King of the Ring
No Mercy
No Way Out
RAW
Royal Rumble
Smackdown
Summer Slam
Survivor Series
Unforgiven
Vengeance
Wrestlemania

Not all of the arenas will be immediately available. To unlock them, you will
have to play one full year of Season mode, as this will take you through every
arena, thereby unlocking them for play in other modes. The only arenas
available at the start are RAW and Smackdown.

===============================================================================

|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| [6] Season Mode                                                             |
|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Season mode takes you through many seasons of the WWE, all with you vying to
earn every title you can, from the King of the Ring and Royal Rumble, to the
Cruiser Weight and Female, all the way to WWE Champion and World Champion! The
season begins in April and ends in March.

The season is broken up into twelve months. Each month consists of three
weeks. Each month starts you off in a RAW match, followed by Smackdown,
and finally, a special arena, like Wrestlemania or Summer Slam.

April     - Backlash
May       - Judgment Day
June - King of the Ring
July      - Vengeance
August    - Summer Slam
September - Unforgiven
October   - No Mercy
November  - Survivor Series
December  - Armageddon
January   - Royal Rumble
February  - No Way Out
March     - Wrestlemania

=== Rankings ===
================

The more you play the game, the more you win, the more titles you hold, the
higher your ranking. Here I've listed all the rankings (the ones I've managed
to get, at least), as well as the score you need to attain that rank. The
fastest way to gain points is to play Royal Rumble matches with the maximum
amount of people, and win each time. This doesn't have to be done in season
mode, but by selecting it from the main menu.

Once you hit 1500 points, you'll unlock all the Costume Samples, which you
would normally only get by successfully stealing from each wrestler in season
mode. Once you hit 5000 points, you'll unlock all the Titantron videos, which
again are normally unlocked when you steal from a wrestler for a third time.

Newcomer  - 0

************************

Before each match (except matches you're in), you can choose a specific action
to perform, each of which has several outcomes.

============
=== Rest ===
============

Resting allows you to recover spirit.

Outcome 1: Successful, spirit regained.
Outcome 2: A friend encourages you; spirit regained, popularity increases.
Outcome 3: You are attacked. If you win, you lose a little spirit and gain
           popularity.
Outcome 4: You are attacked. If you lose, you lose a lot of spirit and one
           point of popularity.

=======================
=== Surprise Attack ===
=======================

You launch a surprise attack on someone in the locker room. This is good to
use against an enemy before their match, as it will lower their spirit, which
may cause them to lose the match.

Outcome 1: You win the fight; you gain spirit and popularity while your foe
           loses both.
Outcome 2: You lose the fight; you lose spirit and popularity while your foe
           gains both.
Outcome 3: Your opponent isn't there, and you automatically lose spirit.

====================
=== Interference ===
====================

You run in on your opponent's match, and will have one to three minutes to
fight. Your Voltage meter is full, so you can use specials from the get go.

Outcome 1: You lose spirit, but gain popularity.
Outcome 2: Security won't let you pass, and you lose spirit.

=============
=== Steal ===
=============

By performing this action, you will attempt to steal something out of the
targeted wrestler's bag.

Outcome 1: You steal an item successfully. You lose some popularity and spirit
           points, though.
Outcome 2: You do not find anything to steal, and lose some spirit.

================
=== Set Trap ===
================

You set a trap for an opponent, which consists of you rigging a device that'll
drop a steel crate or wooden box on the wrestler.

Outcome 1: Cardboard box falls and connects. You lose some spirit, but your
           enemy loses more spirit and some popularity.
Outcome 2: Steel crate falls and connects. You lose some spirit, but your
           enemy loses more spirit and some popularity.
Outcome 3: The trap fails, and the crate hits a different wrestler who is just
           walking by. You lose spirit, your enemy loses nothing, and the
           person you hit gets hostile with you.
Outcome 4: The trap fails entirely, falling harmlessly behind your target. You
           lose spirit.

==================
=== Manipulate ===
==================

You try to convince another wrestler, preferably a friendly one, to attack a
different wrestler for you.

Outcome 1: You lose some spirit and popularity, but your target loses a lot of
           it.
Outcome 2: You lose some spirit and popularity, and your target loses slightly
           more than you.
Outcome 3: Your "friend" will refuse, leaving you with reduced spirit.

=================
=== Encourage ===
=================

You encourage a friend to do good, tell him he's great, etc.

Outcome 1: You succeed, and your relationship is boosted with the target. You
           gain some popularity but lose spirit.
Outcome 2: Your target isn't available, and you lose spirit.

================
=== Call Out ===
================

You stand in the ring and challenge an enemy to a match.

Outcome 1: You lose some spirit and gain some popularity. Your target will
           accept the match, and gain some popularity.
Outcome 2: Your target ignores you, and you lose some spirit.
Outcome 3: A completely different wrestler comes out and accepts your match,
           usually a friend of the target. You lose some spirit, and the two
           of you gain popularity.

================
=== Complain ===
================

Bitch at the target in private in the locker room.

Outcome 1: Your target is there. You lose spirit, and increase hostility with
           the wrestler.
Outcome 2: Your target isn't there, and you lose spirit.

======================
=== Select Manager ===
======================

Choose a wrestler to be your manager, usually a friend.

Outcome 1: Your friend is there, and he accepts. You both gain popularity, and
           you lose some spirit.
Outcome 2: Your friend is there, but he refuses, and you lose spirit.
Outcome 3: Your friend is nowhere in sight, and you lose spirit.

================
=== Break Up ===
================

Only available if you have a manager, this action will make you break up with
him/her.

There is only one outcome, and you'll lose spirit points while your ex-manager
is now an enemy.

************************

Sometimes after matches, be them computer matches or your own, you'll see a
cutscene of something random happening.

============================
=== Match Announcement 1 ===
============================

A man comes out from backstage, or is in the ring, and he will make an
announcement about an upcoming match, always between you and one of your
enemies.

============================
=== Match Announcement 2 ===
============================

Exactly the same as the first, except it's a woman who announces it.

===============
=== Trust 1 ===
===============

After one of your matches, you will get ambushed by one of your enemies. When
this cutscene comes up, one of your friends will come to your aid and start
beating on the person who attacked you. You'll either be attacked in the ring
while you're celebrating, or as you're making your way to the locker room.

===============
=== Trust 2 ===
===============

After one of your matches, an enemy will be watching your performance on a TV
in the locker room, will get mad, and will grab a weapon, probably to go and
attack you. One of your friends, however, will be at the door and will tell
the enemy not to, and the enemy will drop the weapon in disgust and wander off.

=============
=== Argue ===
=============

You will be chatting with someone, and one of your enemies will come to you and
start arguing. The most I can figure is this is like the "Complain" action.
Nothing seems to happen, though, outside of just arguing. Sometimes the enemy
will have a weapon and will threaten you, causing you and the person you're
talking to to leave.

========================
=== World Champion 1 ===
========================

You will only get this cutscene if you hold the World Champion title. Before
every one of your matches where the title is up for grabs, you'll see this
cutscene. All it does is show your wrestler walking down a hallway with the
belt thrown over his/her shoulder.

========================
=== World Champion 2 ===
========================

At the beginning of every month of every season, you'll see the World Champion
arriving at the arena and exiting the limo, with the belt thrown over their
shoulder.

====================
=== WWE Champion ===
====================

Same as above, but it's the WWE Champion and belt.

===========================
=== Undisputed Champion ===
===========================

This cutscene only appears if you hold both the WWE Champion and World Champion
titles. It is identical to World Champion 2 and WWE Champion, with the only
difference is you carrying the two belts instead of one.

===============
=== Respect ===
===============

Both a friend and enemy are watching you on a TV in the locker room, and your
friend talks good about you to the enemy, while the enemy just kind of shakes
his/her hands and head, like a "Yeah, whatever" response. This happens after a
match.

============
=== Date ===
============

You'll be backstage, and you'll ask out a friend of the opposite sex for a
date. Like the rest, this doesn't seem to have any effect on anything. You
might be attacked from behind by an enemy.

===============================================================================

|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| [7] Introduction                                                            |
|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

If a move has "D-PAD" next to it, but no direction is indicated, then you can
tap it in any direction to perform the move, usually toward the ropes, etc.
Here is the legend I use, which is pretty self-explanatory:

Command  |  You Press
=====================
   X     |  X
   Y     |  A
   Y     |  Y
   B     |  B
   WH    |  WHITE
   BL    |  BLACK
   RT    |  RIGHT TRIGGER
   LT    |  LEFT TRIGGER
   UP    |  DIRECTIONAL PAD UP
   DOWN  |  DIRECTIONAL PAD DOWN
   RIGHT |  DIRECTIONAL PAD RIGHT
   LEFT  |  DIRECTIONAL PAD LEFT

I have left out the "Movement" commands, as they are pretty useless. I've also
left out the "Climbing" controls, as there are only five to choose from, and
only one of them is a "special" move. They just involve your character getting
up on the turnbuckle.  Exciting.

Part one covers the first sixteen wrestlers; The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple
H, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Rob Van Dam, Ric Flair, Booker T,
Goldust, Kane, The Hurricane, A-Train, Matt Hardy, Rikishi and Big Show.
