Chapter 20) TOUR CARDS

There are 5 tour cards. You start out with the "bronze" tour card, or your "T"
card after you finish the tutorial at the very beginning of the game.

The Tour Cards are really only important in that they increase the amount of
money that you receive on each hole. For example, if you hit a 300 yard drive
with your T card, that is worth $50. If you hit that same drive with your R
card, you earn $300.

After further research, I've determined that the tour cards must be based off
of percent completion. For each of the numbers below, I was at a very random
earnings level, but the percent completion was right on. I know some of you
probably have different experiences. If anyone has a different theory, let me
know.

Tour Cards available:
---------------------
Bronze Card - 1.0X multiplier - received after tutorial finished
T or Silver Card - 2.0X multiplier - received at 10% completion
I or Gold Card - 3.0X multiplier - received at 20% completion
G or Platinum Card - 4.0X multiplier - received at 30% completion
E or Diamond Card - 5.0X multiplier - received at 50% completion
R or TIGER Card - 6.0X multiplier - received at 100% game completion

Money received based off of Tour Card:
-------------------------------------
Base of those modified only by Tour Card:
----------------------------------------
Pin Seeker - $1,000
Chip-in-Change - $1,000
Close Approach - $500
Green in one - $250
Drive greater than 300 yards - $50
Drive greater than 350 yards - $100
Distant Finish - $500
Hazard Save - $150

Chapter 21) SPONSORSHIPS

Notes:
1) Sponsorships only really matter during the PGA Tour Season. You earn money
based off of how much equipment you're using or apparel/accessories you're
wearing from each sponsor. This bonus is awarded per round. This can really
add up. I make $140,000 per round on sponsorships, or $560,000 per tournament.
This is many times more than the winner's share of the purse in most
tournaments. Win or lose...

2) To see your list of sponsors, go to the PGA Tour Season mode and go left or
right until you see the sponsorship option.

3) The order appears to be random. But I have heard that Nike is commonly
last. This is a good thing. Nike has the most gear and apparel that you can
possibly wear, so you get lots of cash. I make $130,000 per round from Nike,
and $10,000 per round from Tag Heuer since Nike doesn't make watches.

4) If you have a Tiger Woods 2003 save file, you automatically get one sponsor
from the start.

5) Each sponsor gives you a signing bonus when you achieve that sponsorship.

6) Sponsorships do not appear to be tied to a single event. You seem to earn
them at certain percentages of game completion. I got my last one (Nike) at
about 80% game completion.

7) You cannot lose sponsors like golfers do in real life. Even if your
performance is awful. Once you get them, you've got them for good.

The available sponsors and what I earn per round for each of them. This may
(and probably will) vary for you:

 1) Ping $500
 2) Maxfli $750
 3) Precept $1,000
 4) Callaway Golf $1,500
 5) TourStage $2,000
 6) Cleveland Golf $2,500
 7) Adidas $3,000
 8) Odyssey Golf $4,000
 9) TAG Heuer $5,000
10) TaylorMade $7,500
11) Nike $10,000

My second character and the sponsors I've received so far: (under construction)

 1) Tag Heuer $500 / signing bonus $50,000
 2) Ping $750 / signing bonus $75,000
 3) Cleveland $1,000 / signing bonus $100,000
 4) Nike $1,500 / signing bonus $150,000
 5) Maxfli $2,000 / signing bonus $200,000
 6) Callaway $2,500 / signing bonus $250,000
 7) Odyssey $3,000 / signing bonus $300,000
