Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Sengoku Musou - Strategy Guide (Page 08).

Cease resistance?
Eliminate Mitsuhide, and stop the enemy advance!
this should activate a little after the "Ambush Party" mission. Go and defeat
Mitsuhide Akechi. Do it quickly.

Reason to Fight
Eliminate Keiji Maeda, and stop the enemy advance!
This should activate during the "Cease resistance?" mission Go and defeat
Keiji.

The Battle of Echizen

Salvation or Destruction?
Eliminate Katsuie Shibata and and Nobumori Sakuma!
This should activate when the stage starts. Go defeat Katsuie Shibata and
Nobumori Sakuma.

Target: Mitsuhide
Snipe Mitsuhide Akechi from afar!
Activates sometime after the "Salvation or Destruction?" mission. Go all the
way to the southeasern path. Go up and around when you get to the river area
otherwise you will be spotted. When you get there, shoot Mitsuhide.

Flee
Aid Ikko rebels' withdrawal!
Activates after you shoot Mitsuhide. Help the Pilgrims escape by defeating all
enemies in their path so they can retreat.

Predator or Prey
Hide from Hanzo Hattori!
This will activate a time after you complete "Target: Mitsuhide". hanzo will
chase after you and you have to avoid him him until he returns to the main
camp. He's fast, so you might not want to screw around if he's near you. There
are plenty of interwinding paths of Echizen which should allow you to evade
him. You fail if he finds you and are successful if he doesn't.

Dance with the Shadow
Eliminate Hanzo Hattori quickly!
Activates if Hanzo finds you. Eliminate him.

The Second Shot
Snipe Nobunaga Oda from afar!
Activates after he appears on the battlefield, but not by defeating all the
Oda officers. In the southwestern corner there is a perfect spot there to shoot
him. Go there and shoot him.

Go if you want
Hurry to the escape point!
Activates after you shoot Nobunaga. Head to the escape point in the
northeastern camp.

Talent
Eliminate the entire Oda Army!
Activates if you failed to snipe Mitsuhide. Defeat all Oda officers to complete
this.

Skirmish at Kyoto

For starters...
Occupy all enemy strongholds in the south!
Defeat all three Reserve Captains in the south. Activates as soon as stage
starts.

One-Trick Pony
Thwart the Oda Army's fire attack!
Defeat the Spy Leader. He starts out on the west and makes his way north. After
you complete the above mission, head north by Oichi. Activates sometime after
"For starters..." mission is complete.

The Third Shot
Snipe Nobunaga Oda from afar!
Whether the fire attack was successful or failed, this mission activates when
Kennyo decides to surrender. Head down to Nobunaga and from his view, head
left, and then right, and another right. Then go straight and jump up on the
wooden platform and shoot Nobunaga before Kennyo surrenders.

Beginning of the End
Eliminate Nobunaga Oda!
After completing "The Third Shot" mission eliminate Nobunaga before Kennyo
surrenders.

Farewell to Arms
Eliminate Nobunaga Oda!
After Kennyo surrenders eliminate Nobunaga Oda.

Azuchi Infiltration

The Final Shot
Eliminate Nobunaga Oda!
Defeat Nobunaga when you meet him.

I'm hot Today!
Eliminate Hanzo Hattori!
Defeat Hanzo when you meet up with him.

Chivalry
Ascend to the top without harming Oichi!
Don't attack Oichi and head to the next floor.

Last Scuffle
Defeat Keiji Maeda!
Defeat Keiji when you meet him.

Gentleman
Ascend to the top without harming Noh!
Don't attack Noh and head to the next floor.

G. Ranmaru Mori-100%

Defense of Inabayama Castle

Inabayama
Defeat the enemy advance force!
This should activate once the stage starts. Defeat Narimasa Sassa and Katsuie
Shibata.

Lumber
Defeat enemy unit by the storehouse!
This should activate once the Oda Siege Ramp has been set up. Go defeat Koroku
Hachisuka.

Resolution
Take Sunomata Castle and silence its Cannons!
This activates once the sun rises and after the scene with Hideyoshi when there
are about 25 minutes left. Enter Sunomata and defeat Hideyoshi Hashiba.

Prove Yourself
Defeat all Oda officers!
This activates after you meet up with Noh. Go defeat any Oda officers
remaining.

Hanbei's Revolt
Prevent Hanbei Takenaka's revolt!
This should activate sometime after you take Sunomata. Go and defeat Hanbei
Takenaka.

The Battle of Ise

Ready Fire Attack
Eliminate the fortress defense troops!
This activates when the stage starts. Defeat the Pilgrims at 2 of any of the 4
fortresses. Because of where you start at, I suggest the north and east
fortresses. You will fail if 8 minutes elapse or Nagahide Niwa, Nobutada Oda,
or Katsuie Shibata is defeated.

Ready Cannons
Protect the Cannon unit until it can attack!
Should activate some time after "Ready Fire Attack". Just keep Yoshitaka Kuki
alive until the cannons can fire. You will fail if he is defeated.

Rekindling
Protect and secure a path for the task force!
Should activate some time after "Ready Fire Attack". Keep Hideyoshi alive and
get him through to the enemy fortress. He should be able to get there himself,
unless you are playing on hard. You will fail if he is defeated.

Fire Ploy
Protect and secure a path for the task force!
This activates if you fail "Ready Fire Attack". Keep Hideyoshi alive and
get him through to the enemy fortress. You will fail if he is defeated.

Occupation
Occupy all 4 enemy fortresses!
Defeat the Pilgrims guarding each fortress.

No Surrender
Defeat the enemy commander!
After you set fire to their fortress, the Ikko army will decide to surrender.
Instead, kill their leader, Shoukei. You will fail if he reaches the Oda
home base.

Destroy and Create
Obliterate the Ikko Army!
After you defeat Shoukei, defeat the entire Ikko army.

Betrayal at Honnouji

Blockade
Prevent the Honnouji Army from entering Honnouji!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. You will be successful when you
defeat all 4 advance forces. If about 30 enemies reach the gate point you will
fail.

Flames of Vengeance
Thwart the Akechi Army's fire attack!
This activates sometime after the beginning of the stage if you exit Honnouji.
Defeat the Spy Leader before he sets fire to Honnouji. You will fail if he is
successful.

Blood of the Viper
Eliminate Noh!
This activates once Nobunaga gets to Noh's position. Noh will betray Nobunaga,
so defeat her.

Blade of Judgement
Eliminate Mitsuhide Akechi!
This activates once Nobunaga exits Honnouji. Defeat Mitsuhide.

Trap
Escape together with Noh!
This activates once you and Nobunaga encounter Noh after completing
"Blockade" or failing "Flames of Vengeance". You will be successful if Noh is
alive once you reach the exit point.

Retribution
Escape together with Oichi!
This activates once you and Nobunaga encounter Oichi after completing
"Blockade" or failing "Flames of Vengeance". You will be successful if Oichi
is alive once you reach the exit point.

The Battle of Anegawa

Regroup
Restore cooperation with Nagahide Niwa!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Defeat Toshimitsu Saito before
Nagahide Niwa is defeated.

Masamune's Assault
Rescue Shibata Army and eliminate Date Army!
This activates when Masamune advances a little. Defeat Masamune Date before he
defeats Katsuie Shibata.

Protect the Middle
Prevent the enemy from breaking through!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Defeat Yasumasa Sakakbura and
Keiji Maeda before Toshie Maeda is defeated.

Unseen Foe
Thwart Magoichi's sniping attempt!
This activates a little into the stage. Defeat Magoichi before he shoots
Nobunaga.

Query
Defeat Ieyasu Tokugawa's unit!
This activates after "Protect the Middle". Defeat Ieyasu. Wait for Mitsuhide to
show up first otherwise Hanzo Hattori will get Ieyasu to escape. Once Mitsuhide
appears, defeat Ieyasu. Mitsuhide should show up soon after this mission
activates.

Doubt
Defeat Mitsuhide Akechi's unit!
This activates after Mitsuhide appears and only if Ieyasu is still on the
battlefield. Defeat Mitsuhide Akechi.

Sorrow
Defeat Mitsuhide Akechi's unit.
This activates once Mitsuhide appears, but only if he appears after Hanzo
rescues Ieyasu. Defeat Mitsuhide.

Gifu Infiltration

Enemy Ninjas
Eliminate the enemy ninja unit!
This activates once you encounter the ninja squad on the first floor.
Defeat all of them.

Dark Beast
Eliminate Hanzo Hattori!
This activates after completing "Enemy Ninjas". Defeat Hanzo Hattori.

Vendetta
Eliminate Magoichi Saika!
Once you get to Magoichi, defeat him.

Obstacle
Eliminate Kunoichi!
This activates after meeting Kunoichi on the second floor. Defeat her.

Persistence
Eliminate Kunoichi!
This activates if you failed or didn't activate "Obstacle". Defeat Kunoichi
after meeting her on the fourth floor.

Wild One
Eliminate Keiji Maeda!
Once you get to Keiji on the fourth floor, defeat him.

Friend and Foe
Eliminate Mitsuhide Akechi!
Once you get to him, defeat Mitsuhide on the last floor.

Defense of Azuchi Castle

Hate
Eliminate the assassin on the second floor!
This activates upon entering the second floor. Find and defeat Magoichi Saika.

Danger
Eliminate the assassin on the third floor!
This activates upon entering the third floor. Find and defeat Kunoichi.

Null
Eliminate the assassin on the fourth floor!
This activates upon entering the fourth floor. Find and defeat Keiji Maeda.

Life
Eliminate the assassin on the fifth floor!
This activates upon entering the fifth floor. Find and defeat Hanzo Hattori.

Chaos
Eliminate the assassins and protect Nobunaga!
This activates once you reach the top floor and only if all or any assassins
remain alive. Whichever ones you missed, you will have to kill here before
Nobunaga is defeated.

H. Masamune Date-100%

Kawanakajima Campaign

Prelude to the Hunt
Defeat the Takeda Army first!
This activates at the beginning of the stage along with "The Dragon Awaits". If
you complete "The Dragon Awaits" first, this mission fails. There are three
officers. Defeat any one of them to complete this mission. It also fails once
Yukimura reaches Mt. Saijyo's summit.

Old Tiger
Defeat the Takeda Army commander, Shingen Takeda!
This activates after completing "Prelude to the Hunt". Go defeat Shingen
Takeda before Masakage Rusu is defeated.

Tiger Hunt
Defeat the Takeda Army commander, Shingen Takeda!
This activates after the success of "Prelude to the Hunt" and once Yukimura
reaches Mt. Saijyo's summit. Defeat Shingen Takeda.

No reinforcements!
Defeat Kagetsuna Naoe's unit!
This activates some time after "Old Tiger". Defeat Kagetsuna.

The Expert Retreater
Defeat the Kosaka Army before it joins the main force!
This activates after the "Dragon Hunt" mission. Defeat Kosaka before he enters
the Takeda main camp.

The Dragon Awaits
Defeat the Uesugi Army first!
This activates at the beginning of the stage along with "Prelude to the Hunt".
If you complete "Prelude to the Hunt" first, this mission fails. There are
three officers. Defeat any one of them to complete this mission. It also fails
once Yukimura reaches Mt. Saijyo's summit.

Dragon Hunt
Defeat the Uesugi Army commander, Kenshin Uesugi!
This activates after completing "The Dragon Awaits". Defeat Kenshin Uesugi
before Masakage Rusu is defeated.

Fake Pincer
Form a pincer with Yukimura and defeat Kenshin!
This activates after failing "Prelude to the Hunt" and "The Dragon Awaits".
Defeat Kenshin Uesugi before Yukimura Sanada is defeated.

Okehazema Campaign

Get Yoshimoto
Eliminate Yoshimoto Imagawa!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Defeat Yoshimoto Imagawa.

Get Nobunaga
Eliminate Nobunaga Oda!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Defeat Nobunaga Oda.

Ambition
Do not allow Hideyoshi to join up with Nobunaga!
This activates after completing "Get Yoshimoto". Defeat Hideyoshi Hashiba
before he encounters Nobunaga Oda.

Ieyasu flees
Eliminate Ieyasu Tokugawa before he escapes!
This activates after completing "Ambition". Defeat Ieyasu Tokugawa before he
escapes.

Surpass Nobunaga!
Eliminate Nobunaga Oda!
This activates if you failed both "Get Nobunaga" and "Ambition" missions.
Defeat Nobunaga Oda.

Sister
Eliminate Oichi!
This activates after you defeat Nobunaga, but Yoshimoto must still be alive.
Defeat Oichi.

Whirlwind
Prevent Ieyasu Tokugawa from joining up with Hanzo!
This activates after completing "Get Nobunaga" and encountering Ieyasu
Tokugawa. Defeat Hanzo Hattori before he reaches Ieyasu or defeat Ieyasu
before Hanzo reaches him.

Ise Campaign

Ikko Fortress
Occupy the west fortress!
This activates at the beginning of the stage along with "Oda Army". Defeat the
Pilgrim at the west fortress. Doing so will fail the "Oda Army" mission.

Oda Army
Eliminate the Oda Army's Bokuzen Ujie!
This activates at the beginning of the stage along with "Ikko Fortress". Defeat
Bokuzen Ujie. Doing so will fail the "Ikko Fortress" mission.

Monks
Eliminate Shoukei!
This activates if you completed "Ikko Fortress". Defeat Shoukei.

Magoichi's arrival
Eliminate Magoichi Saika!
This activates after failing "Foil the Fire Attack". Defeat Magoichi Saika.

Obliteration!
Obliterate the Oda Army!
This activates after completing "Magoichi's arrival". Defeta the Oda Army.

Silence the Cannons
Eliminate Yoshitaka Kuki's Cannon unit!
This activates after completing "Oda Army". Defeat Yoshitaka Kuki.

Foil the Fire Attack
Eliminate Hideyoshi Hashiba's fire attack unit!
This activates shortly into the stage. Defeat Hideyoshi before he sets the Ikko
Army aflame.

Nobunaga must fall
Eliminate Nobunaga Oda!
This activates after completing "Foil the Fire Attack". Defeat Nobunaga.

Peasants approaching
Eliminate Magoichi Saika!
Magoichi shows up after defeating Nobunaga. Defeat him as well.

Nagashino Campaign

Musket Unit
Defeat Tadakatsu Honda and assault the musket unit!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Defeat Tadakatsu Honda.

Cavalry
Endure the enemy attack at Shitaragahara!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Stay at the indicated X and
wait for all 4 Takeda Cavalry generals to be lured forward. You will fail if
any one of them is defeated.

Speed for Muskets
Obliterate the Oda musket unit!
This activates after completing "Musket Unit". Defeat the Oda Musket officers.

Power for Cavalry
Obliterate the Takeda Cavalry!
This activates after completing "Cavalry". Defeat the Takeda Cavalry.

The Rear Guardian
Do not let Nobunaga Oda get away!
This activates once the Takeda enter the Oda main camp. Nobunaga will try to
escape to Mt. Chausu. Defeat him before he gets there.

Old Soldier
Do not let Shingen Takeda get away!
This activates after defeating the Takeda Cavalry, Shingen's 4 officers. Defeat
Shingen before he retreats into Nagashino Castle.

Foolish Badger
Stop the Tokugawa Army and defend the main camp.!
This activates some time into the stage. Defeat Ieyasu Tokugawa before he takes
your main camp.

Attack on Honnouji

Endgame
Reach the main hall before the Akechi Army enters!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Go all the way around Honnouji to
get to the main hall's north gate to complete this mission. This fails if the
Akechi Army enters Honnouji.

Ambition or Justice?
Defeat the enemy commander, Mitsuhide Akechi!
This activates after you complete "Endgame". Defeat Mitsuhide Akechi.

Nobunaga's Trap
Defeat the Oda Army's elite officers!
This activates after the Akechi Army has been defeated. Defeat Oichi, Noh,
Ranmaru Mori, Hideyoshi Hashiba, and Keiji Maeda.

Closure
Defeat the enemy commander, Nobunaga Oda!
This activates when you approach Nobunaga. Defeat him once and for all.

Rebellion
Defeat the Akechi Army's elite officers!
This activates after "Endgame" finishes. Defeat all indicated Akechi officers.

Wavering Blade
Defeat the enemy commander, Mitsuhide Akechi!
This activates after failing "Endgame" and encountering Mitsuhide Akechi.
Defeat Mitsuhide.

You cannot escape!
Do not allow Nobunaga Oda to escape!
This activates after failing "Endgame". Defeat Nobunaga Oda before he escapes.

Odawara Campaign

Inconspicuous
Show Kagenobu Uesugi the full extent of your power!
When you meet up with him, defeat Kagenobu.

Love...?
Defeat Yukimura and Kunoichi!
When you meet up with them on the third floor, defeat Yukimura Sanada and
Kunoichi.

Personal Challenge
Clear the fourth floor quickly?
Upon entering the fourth floor, get to the fifth floor quickly.

Battle between Men
Defeat Keiji Maeda!
Upon meeting up with him on the fourth floor, defeat Keiji.

I. Keiji Maeda-100%

The Battle of Ise

Ready Fire Attack
Eliminate the fortress defense troops!
This activates when the stage starts. Defeat the Pilgrims at 2 of any of the 4
fortresses. Because of where you start at, I suggest the north and east
fortresses. You will fail once eight minutes elapse.

Ready Cannons
Protect the Cannon unit until it can attack!
Should activate some time after "Ready Fire Attack". Just keep Yoshitaka Kuki
alive until the cannons can fire. Unless playing on hard, you shouldn't really
have to do anything.

Rekindling
Protect and secure a path for the task force!
Should activate some time after "Ready Fire Attack". Keep Hideyoshi alive and
get him through to the enemy fortress. He should be able to get there himself,
unless you are playing on hard. If he is defeated this mission fails.

Fire Ploy
Protect and secure a path for the task force!
After you fail "Ready Fire Attack" this activates. Keep Hideyoshi alive and
guide him through to the enemy fortress. You fail if he is defeated.

Occupation
Occupy all four enemy fortresses!
This activates after you fail either "Rekindling" or "Fire Ploy". Defeat the
Pilgrims at each indicated fortress.

Surrender
Prevent the enemy from surrendering!
After the successful fire attack, this mission activates. Defeat Shoukei and
Magoichi Saika before they surrender.

Life is Power
Defeat Tomosada Hattori and secure an escape route!
After the Ikko rebels begin to withdraw, this mission will activate. Defeat
Tomasada Hattori.

Peasants' Escape
Allow the peasants to escape safely!
This activates after completing "Surrender". Guide the Pilgrims to the
Escape Point. If you near them they will follow you. If less than two escape
then this mission fails.

The Battle of Nagashino

Front Line
Defend Mt. Chausu!
This should activate at the beginning of the stage unless you charge through to
the Takeda. Defeat all enemies at Mt. Chausu in the northwest. This mission
fails if Mitsuhide Akechi is defeated or you defeat Nobufusa Baba before
completing the mission.

Distraction
Occupy the enemy stronghold!
This activates after "Front Line". Head to the southeast and defeat the Reserve
Captain at the specified gate.

Mayhem
Defeat 20 Naito soldiers!
This activates after "Distraction". Defeat any 20 of Masatoyo Naito's troops.

Katsuyori
Eliminate Katsuyori Takeda!
This activates after you defeat Yukimura and Katsuyori begins his retreat.
Defeat him and don't let him escape.

Sound of Terror
Obliterate the Takeda Cavalry!
This activates if you enter the central plains before "Mayhem". Defeat the
four Takeda Cavalry generals. Masatoyo Naito, Masakage Yamagata, Nobufusa
Baba, and Yukimura Sanada.

Barricade
Do not let the Takeda Army advance further!
This activates if you fail "Front Line" or if Mt. Chausu is taken. Defeat
all indicated Takeda generals before they enter the Oda main camp.

Young Tiger
Do not let Yukimura Sanada advance further!
This activates after you beat the Naito soldiers. Go near Yukimura before he
gets to the Oda barricades.

Go Home
Eliminate Yukimura Sanada!
This activates after "Young Tiger". Defeat Yukimura Sanada.

Dance of Kyoto

Show of Force
Defeat 100 enemies in 5 minutes!
Go near Goemon to activate this. Defeat any 100 enemies in 5 minutes.

Between Men
Eliminate Goemon Ishikawa!
After "Show of Force" is completed, defeat Goemon.

Celebrity
Eliminate Okuni!
After you meet Okuni, defeat her.

Unwanteds
Attack the gathering places of the miscreants!
Once Keiji realizes the miscreants keep showing up this mission activates.
Defeat all of the enemy Reserve Captains.

Miscreants
Defeat all miscreants!
After you complete "Unwanteds", defeat all remaining miscreants.

Go Away
Negotiate with the Oda officers!
This activates sometime during "Miscreants". Go near all remaining Oda officers
to ask them to leave.

Odawara Infiltration

Babysitting
Eliminate Masamune Date's officers!
Upon reaching the 3rd floor, defeat the two officers serving Masamune,
Shigezane Date and Kagetsuna Katakura.

Serious Warrior
Eliminate Masamune Date!
After "Babysitting", defeat Masamune.

Kawanakajima Challenge

The Great Keiji
Defeat all enemy offcers!
Thi activates at the beginning of the stage. Defeat all Uesugi generals.

The Yukimura Kid
Defeat all enemies near Zenkouji!
This activates after Magoichi Saika arrives. Clear Zenkouji so Yukimura Sanada
can arrive.

Love is Blind
Rescue Okuni before Goemone does!
This activates after Okuni arrives. Get near Okuni before Goemon does.

J. Shingen Takeda-100%

The Battle of Kawanakajima

Night and Fog
Atack the advance units to decieve the enemy!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Defeat either Kageie Kakizaki or
Shigenaga Honjo.

Defend the Camp
Protect the main camp from the Uesugi Army's assault!
This activates after "Night and Fog". Do not let the main camp fall before
Yukimura Sanada crosses Mt. Saijyo. This fails if Yukimura is defeated or the
gate in the main camp is sealed.

Kenshin
Eliminate Kenshin Uesugi!
This activates after "Defend the Camp". Defeat Kenshin Uesugi.

Tide has not changed
This activates after failing "Defend the Camp". Defeat Kenshin Uesugi!

Odawara Infiltration

Ominous Shadow
Eliminate Hanzo Hattori!
When you meet up with him on the first floor, defeat Hanzo Hattori.

The Shadow returns
Eliminate Hanzo Hattori!
This activates after encountering Hanzo hattori on the second floor if you
failed "Ominous Shadow". Defeat Hanzo.

From the North
Eliminate Masamune Date!
When you meet up with him on the third floor, defeat Masamune.

The Nemesis cometh
Eliminate Kenshin Uesugi!
When you meet up with him on the fourth floor, defeat Kenshin.

People are the Walls
Eliminate Ujimasa Hojo!
When you meet up with him on the fifth floor, defeat Ujimasa.

The Battle of Nagashino

Severance
Eliminate Kazumasu Takigawa!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Defeat Kazumasu Takigawa before
Masatoyo Naito is defeated.

Rear Guard
Eliminate the enemy ambush party!
This activates after "Severence". Defeat the enemy ambush party's officer.

Tiger awakens
Go and assist Nobufusa Baba at once!
This activates after "Rear Guard" is completed. Get near Nobufusa Baba before
he is defeated.

Tactical Contest
Defeat Mitsuhide Akechi!
This activates after completing "Tiger Awakens". Defeat Mitsuhide Akechi.

Champion
Eliminate Keiji Maeda!
This activates after Keiji charges out. Defeat him.

Raw Power
Eliminate the enemy musket unit!
This activates some time after "Rear Guard" if it failed. Eliminate the musket
unit officers.

Siege of Azuchi Castle

Azuchi in flames
Thwart the Oda Army's fire attack!
This activates at the beginning of the stage. Defeat Mitsuhide Akechi before he
sets Azuchi aflame. He'll come back later.

The Right Pace
Enter the Oda camp before mitsuhide does!
This activates once Mitsuhide returns. Get to Nobunaga before him. go up the
west path and circle around to the north east and go from there. If you can't
figure it out, follow Mitsuhide and charge into the camp before he gets there.

Dull Blade
Aid Mitsuhide Akechi's withdrawal!
If you completed "The Right Pace" mission, this will activate. Clear a path for
Mitsuhide so he can escape. Defeat all enemies in his way and do not let him
be defeated.
