Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Samurai Warriors - Strategy Guide (Page 03).

Rescue at Ueda Castle-Castle
Sanada Army vs Tokugawa Army

Story- Mitsuhide's revolt against Nobunaga changed the course of history.
Several years later, the land was unified under Hideyoshi Toyotomi, but out in
the east was Ieyasu Tokugawa, who still harbored ambition. In an attempt to
eliminate future threats he came up with a plan to assassinate Yukimura Sanada.

Victory Condition- Hanzo Hattori is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Yukimura Sanada is defeated.

There are two ways to advance to the next stage. On the fifth and last sub-level
you will meet up with Hanzo Hattori and Yukimura Sanada. You will then get a
mission to defeat Hanzo before Yukimura is defeated. If you beat Hanzo, you will
advance to the "Siege of Osaka-Summer" stage. If Yukimura is injured, you will
advance to the "Odawara Infiltration" stage. There are 4 Hanzos, but only one is
the real one. Try to keep Hanzo from attacking Yukimura and beat him, otherwise,
let him defeat Yukimura. Yukimura will be defeated when his life decreases about
half way and then Hanzo will withdraw.

Siege Of Osaka-Summer-Field
Toyotomi Army vs Tokugawa Army

Story- Despite Hanzo's failure to kill Yukimura, Ieyasu's power grew stronger,
and soon the Sanada would lose all their land. To complete his conquest, Ieyasu
led a campaign against the dwindling Toyotomi Clan, who in turn requested the
aid of Yukimura Sanada. The final battle was to take place at Osaka Castle.

Victory Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa or Hanzo Hattori is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Hideyori Toyotomi or Yukimura Sanada is defeated.

Completing this stage unlocks Kunoichi's Ending 1. If you complete this stage
by defeating Hanzo you will unlock Yukimura's Ending 2.

Odawara Infiltration-Castle
Kunoichi vs Tokugawa Army

Story- The Tokugawa have become the greatest power in all the land. Ieyasu
began a campaign against the Toyotomi Clan to complete his conquest. Suffering
a dire injury from Hanzo Hattori several years earlier, Yukimura Sanada pushes
himself toward Osaka to fight for the Toyotomi. To aid her master, Kunoichi
performed a pre-emptive attack on Odawara Castle.

Victory Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa is defeated.

Victory Condition- Masayuki Sanada is defeated.
Defeat Condition- Ieyasu Tokugawa is defeated.

There are two ways to advance. Once you get to the last level of the castle,
both Yukimura Sanada and Hanzo Hattori will be your enemy. Whichever one you

stage.

I'll start with the Sanada's side.

Siege of Osaka-Summer-Field

*************************

In New Officer Mode you train a created character to use in the other modes.
When you select New Officer Mode you need to choose a slot, a face, and a name
for your officer. If you select an already made officer you will creat a new
officer in their place.

You will now do the training exercises from challenge mode to build up your
character's stats. Your health is not restored after each exercise so you will
need to rest which takes up a month of your training. There are also various
events that may occur throughout your training. For most exercises you will
choose to use either a sword, spear, or naginata. Whichever one you use will
boost your skills with it and will also make it your weapon when you are done.

Be aware of Dokkimaru. Sometimes when you rest he will interrupt you and force
you to take part in a random training exercise and your life will not be
replenished.

After the 12 months you will choose a Daimyo Clan to serve. Each Daimyo Clan
requires you to do two more training exercises for them and you will be scored
on how well you do. You need a score of 100 or higher to pass their test. If
you fail, you do not get another chance and have to go through the training all
over again. Each clan has an intermediate and an advanced exercise. The
intermediate is first and easier and the advanced is second and harder. These
are each Daimyo Clan and which exercise they have you do. The first one listed
will be the intermediate one and the second will be the advanced one.

Oda- Melee+Musou
Takeda- Blast+Riding
Uesugi- Riding+Melee
Tokugawa- Deflect+Blast
Date- Musou+Combo
Honganji- Deflect+Musou
Azai- Archery+Deflect
Imagawa- Combo+Archery
Hojo- Blast+Melee

New Officers can be used in all other modes and they have their own story in
Story Mode.

If you have a combined attack and defense of 90 or higher with any weapon by the
fourth month a strike ninja of some sort will challenge you. Defeat him using
your Musou to unlock a new face model for your new officers. There are 4 new
face models.

Battlefields-

There are three types of battlefields.

Field- The standard battlefield. Where two or three armies meet.
Castle- One or two characters enters an enemy castle alone.
Siege- Starts out as a Field, but then turns into a Castle.

More About Castles-

Castles are a bit harder since only your character enters the castle, you have
no troops with you. Each level is like a maze. You have to find the right way
to get to the exit, indicated by a blue dot on the map.

Each castle level is, however, infested with enemy troops. They have their
gates, but no Reserve Captains so they will keep coming. At most gates you can
fire Ranged Attacks at the target and seal the gate, giving you 60 extra
seconds.

Castles also have many traps, like exploding barrels, hidden blades,
barricades, etc. You should be able to avoid them as they have some warning to
them.

You will also rarely find any life recovery items in the castle and you'll
probably only find them when you don't really need them. So don't spend too
much time fighting unles you are skilled or confident you can do well.

You won't have any bodyguards for castle stages.

Castles also have any treasures like items or weapons.

The stage castle levels are the same, so try and remember how you reached the
exit for when you replay the level. The Survival Mode castle levels change.

Bodyguards-

During battle you can have up to 4 bodyguards to help you out during Field
stages.

There are 3 different sets of bodyguards to use, 4 in each.

3 sets are already created for you, but you can create your own in the Options
menu.

There are 6 bodyguard classes.
Infantry
Spear
Ninja
Archer
Musket
Lady Ninja

You can name the bodyguard unit and each member name. You can use up to 8
spaces for lettering.

You can change the bodyguard classes, but doing this resets their rank,
experience, class, title, and abilities.

Bodyguards recieve experience at the end of each stage, like officers. Their
experience is determined by how many KOs they have and how many survived.

Battle Tips-

There are usually 5 soldiers in each unit. Taking out their leader makes the
rest retreat. For example, in an archer unit, when you take out the head
archer, the others will escape to the nearest gate. This is useful for
clearing armies, but don't bother if you're looking for KOs.

The most annoying thing about fighting an officer is when his/her troops
attack you and he/she charges his/her Musou and gets full life. To avoid this,
either lure the officer away or knock him out of his/her group and attack
him/her alone.

Take out the Reserve Captains. That stops enemy reinforcements from that gate
and makes it your own for reinforcements.

Use your Musou only when there are a substantial amount of people around you
or when in dire need of Life.

Strike Ninjas, Sky Ninjas, Wind Ninjas, and Fire Ninjas are quite annoying as
they can knock you away, take out a chunk of your Life, or interrupt almost
any of your attacks. Get them out of the way before attacking the other
troops.

Don't just go straight for the enemy commander. Defeat the other officers
first for more experience. Also defeat the officers' underling officers before
their commander or else they will retreat.

Unless your character is fast, equip a saddle or mount a steed to travel long
distances quickly.

Castle stages can be annoying at times since you hardly ever find Life and
when you do you probably don't even need it. If you just want to clear the
stage go straight for the exit.

Equip the Lantern, Guiding Doll, and Hachiman Bell to help you in Castle
stages.

Try to get a full Life Meter before defeating the enemy commander in a siege
battle.

The skills add extra effects to an officer's abilities or just a new ability.
Right now the skills will only be listed in a skill chart. When you see one of
these, >, That means you need to have the skil before it to get the next one.
You can get each skill 3 times except the ones marked with an asterik, *. After
each stage you clear, you will get a number of skill points relating to your
experience. These skill points are used to learn a skill. Once an officer's
experience is maxed out, 999999, you cannot get any more skill points to get
more skills.
