Project: Gotham Racing - Strategy Guide (Page 04)
Below are the cheat codes, hints and help for Project: Gotham Racing - Strategy Guide (Page 04).
------------------------ Race 1: Hot Lap - Single ------------------------ Location: New York - Central Park Track: Central Park Paths Initial target: 1 minute 25 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: A bit past the starting line you will have to make two left turns and then a right turn, all located right next to each other. A little ways before you get to the first checkpoint, you will have to go onto the dirt paths. After the checkpoint you cross a street and go up a hill. Be careful when going up that hill, you can easily spin out. After the hill, you have to follow this very narrow path that winds quite a bit. You will then have to cross another street and follow another path. This one doesn't wind quite as much at first, but there are a couple of turns by the checkpoint. Take them slowly so you don't lose control. After that, the path starts to wind quite a bit until you get off of it and are back onto the paved roads. Right after you get back onto the paved roads you will be at the loop, slide around it and continue on. Past the loop there is a right turn, you will now be on a road with a sharp right a the end of it. After that there is a left then the road to the starting line. ------------------------- Race 2: Hot Lap - Average ------------------------- Location: New York - Wall Street Track: Hanover Square Initial target: 1 minute 20 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: After the first two turns you will find yourself on a very big road. Once it ends, you'll find yourself going along a bunch of different alleys, three to be exact. After those, you will go onto a medium-sized road that gets narrower at the end and then a wider road with a checkpoint. After this, all of the roads up until the next checkpoint will be narrow alleys, except for one that does get wider. After that, you will be mostly on bigger roads up until you get back to the starting line. ----------------- Race 3: Timed Run ----------------- Location: Tokyo - Asakusa Track: Azuma-Bashi Initial target: 3 minutes 30 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: Just like the other timed ruins it's raining here. The first turn you have to make will be into the alley leading to the temple. Instead of going all the way up to the temple you make a right into another alley before reaching it. All of the roads after that are much wider. After the second checkpoint slow down so that you can make that turns that takes you into the tunnel. -------------------------- Race 4: Overtake Challenge -------------------------- Location: San Francisco - Fishermans Wharf Track: Museum Row Initial target: 8 cars Time: 3:00.000 Advice: This is another simple track to do an overtake challenge on. The only advice for me to give is restart if you screw up. When you finish, you probably won't be that far in front of the 8th car, so if you make a major mistake you won't be able to catch up to it. ------------------------------- Race 5: Average Speed Challenge ------------------------------- Location: London - Westminster Track: Houses of Parliament Initial target: 40mph Laps: 3 Advice: Your speed is only recorded when you pass a checkpoint in this type of race, unlike top speed challenges where it's the speed you get anywhere on the track. On this track all of the checkpoints are placed right after turns. For the first checkpoint and the starting line, you will have to slide around the turns with as much speed as you can and accelerate into the checkpoints. The second checkpoint isn't as bad, since it isn't after a sharp turn. It still is right after a turn, take the turn at an angle so you don't have to lose too much speed. ---------------------------- Race 6: Total Laps Challenge ---------------------------- Location: San Francisco - Fishermans Wharf Track: Embarcadero East III Initial target: 8 laps Time: 3:00.000 Advice: Not very hard. Just get conformable with sliding around the third and fourth turns and beating this race should be a breeze. ------------------- Race 7: Street Race ------------------- Location: London - St. James' Park Track: Old Admirality Initial target: 3rd Laps: 4 Advice: Fog. This is bad when you start the race on the street with the monuments in the middle of it. Avoid the one that isn't very far in front of you when you start. Once the dirt path that you take through the park ends, you have to make a very sharp turn onto the road. Once you get off of this very long road, you will have to make a left turn into the dirt area that gets narrow enough to only fit one car through at a time. Once you turn back onto the street with the starting line, avoid the statue in the middle of the street. ------------------- Race 8: Street Race ------------------- Location: Tokyo - Shibuya Track: Kuyakusho Mae Initial target: 3rd Laps: 4 Advice: Oddly similar to a track you raced on during the Tokyo level, isn't it? Try to avoid the other cars at the first turn as much as you can. They like to cause you to spin out. If that happens, just restart, recovering from a spin out can be nearly impossible if they hit you right. Other than that, all you need to watch out for is the barrier in the road between the two checkpoints and that one turn atop the hill after the second checkpoint. ------------------- Race 9: Street Race ------------------- Location: New York - Central Park Track: Fifth Avenue Initial target: 3rd Laps: 3 Advice: Another race in Central Park. There's nothing you need to worry about before the first checkpoint. In the next two places where the road you're on turns, don't think you can get through the turns without having to brake, you won't make it through them unless you do. When it turns for the third time, you're going to have to brake as well. For the turn after the checkpoint, a slide should get you through it just fine. On this road, you might have to slow down a bit where it makes a slight right turn. Slide through the two turns at the end of it and finish up this race. ------------------- Race 10: One On One ------------------- Location: San Francisco - Pacific Heights Track: Lafayette Park Initial target: -5 seconds Laps: 4 Advice: Winning here can be quite the challenge. What I recommend here is to do one lap of practice and see how many kudos you are able to get. Multiply that by four for a simple estimate of how many kudos you can get in the race itself. Then, adjust the difficulty so that the kudos you get from the target plus the kudos you will get in the races equals at least 800 (What you need to get a bronze medal). The track this race takes place isn't that difficult. Take it like you would any track in the Pacific Heights, just watch out on the street with the planets. ******************************************** 8.08 - Level 8: World Tour ******************************************** Races: 12 (Timed run x4, style challenge x4, street race x4) Medal requirements: Gold - 1700 Kudos, Silver - 1300 Kudos, Bronze - 900 Kudos This is one of the hardest levels in Kudos Challenge. Forget about setting your target in street races to first place every time, in some races you will want to set it to second. In streets races, the car in first place will be very fast, but it is still easy to get in second. You should also begin to add about 5 seconds to your time for timed runs, to make it a bit more reasonable. You won't always need it, but often you will be cutting it a little bit too close if you don't add it. You might want to start practicing using manual transmission if you haven't already, for the extra speed. Starting in this level you should avoid the other cars in street race at all costs. If you're in front of one and it wants to pass, it won't hesitate to bump you and send you spinning. That can very well cost you the whole race, so get good at not letting that happen. ----------------- Race 1: Timed Run ----------------- Location: San Francisco - Financial District Track: Financial District Initial target: 3 minutes 10 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: A timed run, this means rain. Since this race takes place in the Financial District, the track shouldn't be very difficult for you. There is a sharp turn before the second turn which you will not have seen before, though. Remember what I said about adding time to the target time? This is a good race to start doing that. When I beat this race I had 1 second left on the clock. ----------------------- Race 2: Style Challenge ----------------------- Location: San Francisco - Pacific Heights Track: The Straightaway Initial target: 740 Kudos Laps: 2 Advice: Go through the first gate past the starting line and force a slide to get to the next gate. Go through the rest of the gates on this street and then slide around the corner. Go through the gates here and slide around the corner onto another street with gates for you to pass through. Go through them, slide around the corner at the end of the street, but make sure you end up to the left of the cones here to pass this gate. Force a slide to the right side of the street to pass this next gate. Go in between the two planters to pass a speed gate and then slide around the corner. Navigate this path between the cones slowly, so you don't hit the cones. You'll have to force very small slides if you want to keep your combo going between the gates. Slide around the corner and force slide for this first block, but pass the gates to the right of the cones in the intersection. Slide around the corner and pass through these two gates. Slide again, around the next corner, pass the single gate and slide around this turn. Go through all of the gates to get back to the starting line. ------------------- Race 3: Street Race ------------------- Location: San Francisco - Fishermans Wharf Track: Taylor St. Initial target: 3rd place Laps: 5 Advice: This is probably the easiest race in this level. You should be able to come in first, but it won't be all that easy. By now you should know to take the turn at the top of the big hill slowly to avoid spinning out and know how to slide around the switchback. Try to stay away from the other cars as much as you can, like I said, they have the ability to make you spin if they hit you hard enough. ----------------- Race 4: Timed Run ----------------- Location: London - Trafalgar Track: Leicester Square Initial target: 2 minutes 40 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: This timed run I found to be a bit easier than the last one. You probably won't have to add a few seconds to the clock. That's because this track isn't all that hard. No big turns to worry about or very narrow roads you have to go along. There is that damned traffic light of whatever in the middle of the road after the first checkpoint, though. The last turn is the only turn hat could be considered difficult, it's a but sharper than usual, but nothing much since you have a lot of room to turn. ----------------------- Race 5: Style Challenge ----------------------- Location: London - Westminster Track: Thames Challenge II Initial target: 750 Kudos Laps: 2 Advice: Go through the cone gates a bit of a ways past the starting line. After the fourth one, force a slide to get to the next ones. Past the two speed gates, force a slide to get to the turn and the gates around the turn. You might not want to slide around this turn, because of the gates. Go through the gates on the bridge and then slide around the next corner. Force a slide to make it to the next few gates. After the third speed gate, force a slide to get to the next cone gate. Force a slide from there through the next gate to the corner. Slide through the turns here and then pass the speed gate and checkpoint. Force another slide after the fourth turn to get to the speed gate. From there, slide all the way around this big turn. After you make the right turn, you will have to force slide all the way along this bridge and straigtaway if you want to keep your combo going. Yes, all the way along it. There are no gates at all on it. Slide around the turns at the end and then force a slide after the fourth. Slide around the corner at the end of this street to get to the starting line. To make it to the first cone gates you'll have to force another slide. ------------------- Race 6: Street Race ------------------- Location: London - St. James' Park Track: Duck Island Initial target: 3rd place Laps: 5 Advice: This is probably going to be the first race where you should set the target to second place the first time you take a go at it. In these races, the first place car and the second place car (Not counting you, wherever you may be) are very far apart. You should be able to at the very least, come in second without much trouble. You can come back later with a faster car to win to get some revenge. Or a gold medal, whichever one you prefer. Remember, a simple bump from one of the other cars can send your car spinning out of control, costing you the race. The very first turn on this track is one of the easiest places to get into first or second place. Your opponents will slow down more than they need to, allowing you to pass them. Since this is the first turn on the track, that gives them the rest of it to catch up to you. Right after the turn onto the street with the first checkpoint there is a narrow passage you have to squeeze through. Going through this when you're too close to another car can be very dangerous, as the other car could send you spinning. At the end of this street there is a statue in the middle at the top of some stairs you have to jump down. Your opponents will usually try and pass you on the straightaways. You can try and block them but if you do that and they bump you... ----------------- Race 7: Timed Run ----------------- Location: Tokyo - Shinjuku Track: 1-Chome Initial target: 3 minutes 20 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: Add five seconds to the target for the first time you play this race. You'll need it unless you run perfect laps. Luckily for you, this race is in Shinjuku. By now, you hopefully know that that means wide open roads and mostly turns which are easy to make. The area around the starting line is a bit more narrow, but you don't go through any of the bad turns on this particular track. Near the end, you go on the street that's divided up in the middle, but one side of it is closed off. ----------------------- Race 8: Style Challenge ----------------------- Location: Tokyo - Asakusa Track: Beer-Biru Mae Initial target: 750 Kudos Laps: 2 Advice: Go through the first two gates after the starting line and then slide around the corner. Force a slide through the first half of the tunnel to make it to the next cone gates. After the turn, go through the gate and force a slide to get to the speed gate. Force slide your way to the end of this street and then slide around the corner. Go through the gates, plus the checkpoint on this bridge and then slide around the corner at the end. Force slide your way all the way down this street. Slide around the turn, pass the speed gate and then force slide all the way down this street. Slide around the corner and force slide your way to the gates on this street. It doesn't matter which gates you go through, they're all the same. Slide around the corner and force slide your way down this alley, if you dare. You really don't have to, but you can. Pass the gate at the end and then slide around the corner at the end of the alley. Pass the gate here and force slide your way from gate to gate until you get to the turn. Slide around it and pass the gates to get back to the starting line. ------------------- Race 9: Street Race ------------------- Location: Tokyo - Shibuya Track: Jinnan Hairpin Initial target: 3rd place Laps: 6 Advice: Again, you should probably set the target to second place for this race. Right off the bat you're going to have to make a left turn to the underpass area. Take the left path or the inside one, because taking one of them make sit easier to make the left turn right after you get out of it. Before the first checkpoint you will have to go along the block that has the divider in the middle of the street, watch out for that. ------------------ Race 10: Timed Run ------------------ Location: New York - Wall Street Track: Maiden Lane Initial target: 3 minutes 40 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: Again, add five seconds to the target before your first attempt at the race. The track itself isn't very bad, there is only one alley that you have to go through, which is located right after the first checkpoint. The rest of the roads are mainly your averaged sized road and a couple of those medium-sized ones. If this track isn't very difficult, why should you give yourself five more seconds? Because even though it isn't very hard, you still will probably have trouble getting through it in that amount of time. ------------------------ Race 11: Style Challenge ------------------------ Location: New York - Times Square Track: Lexington Ave South Initial target: 750 Kudos Laps: 2 Advice: Go to the left of the first set of cones after the starting line and then the right of the second set of cones to pass the first two gates. Pass the gate on the left, slide around the corner and go to the right of the cones on this street. Pass the speed gate at the end and then force a slide to get to the gates up ahead. Avoid the cones scattered about the street and pass the gates all the way up until the turn. Slide around this turn and pass the checkpoint and speed gate. Slide around the corner here and pass all of the gates on this street. Slide around this corner, pass the gate and force a slide to get to the next corner. Slide around it, pass the two gates and force a slide to get to the next corner, which you should slide around. Pass the two gates and force a slide to the next turn. Slide through it, pass the gate to the right of the cones and slide around the next corner. Pass all of these gates and the ckeckpoint. Force a slide to get to the next two turns. After the turns, you're going to have to force slide all the way until the next turn if you wish to continue your combo. Slide around the corner at the end, pass the gate and force slide your way to the end. Go through the gate at this corner and go through all of these gates as fast as you can to get back to the starting line. -------------------- Race 12: Street Race -------------------- Location: New York - Central Park Track: Park Loop II Initial target: 3rd place Laps: 4 Advice: I'd be lying if I didn't say this was one of the hardest races in Central Park. Again, set the target to second place, since coming in first will be hard enough just because of the track itself, and then you have to worry about how aggressive the other cars like to be in this level. After the third turn, you get to go on the paths. As you should know from before, they wind quite a bit and are very narrow. This path is no exception. You have to follow it all the way to the first checkpoint and then back onto the roads after the checkpoint. At the end of this road, you have to make a couple of sharp turns and go onto another path. But don't worry about this path, it only goes to the next road right behind it. Slow down where this road bends to the right. Near the end of the lap is the loop, by now you should be able to take it easily. ******************************************** 8.09 - Level 9: Challenge Tour ******************************************** Races: 10 (Hot lap - single, hot lap - average, total laps challenge, average speed challenge, top speed challenge, timed run, style challenge, overtake challenge, street race, one on one) Medal Requirements: Gold - 1500 Kudos; Silver - 1200 Kudos; Bronze - 900 Kudos This level is easier than the last one, and half of the races in this levels are on some very simple tracks. (Simple as in that they are made up of a few turns and some straightaways only) ------------------------ Race 1: Hot Lap - Single ------------------------ Location: New York - Wall Street Track: State & Broadway Initial target: 1 minute 10 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: There aren't that many alleys that you have to go through on this track compared to many others in Wall Street. You have to go through a couple of them between the two checkpoints and then the rest of the roads there are medium-sized. From the second checkpoint to the starting line back to the first checkpoint all of the roads are wider. The only turn that's the least bit sharp is the one right before the second checkpoint, but it isn't much sharper than any other turn. ------------------------- Race 2: Hot Lap - Average ------------------------- Location: London - Trafalgar Track: St. Martin's Initial target: 50 seconds Laps: 4 Advice: You may want to up your target time a little bit to give yourself some room to breathe. But if you don't, you may be cutting it a bit close. It's raining here, but other than that there isn't all that much that you need to look out for. Just the things in the middle of the street which you should be used to by now. That traffic light thing is in the middle of the road right before the second turn and you have to go through the building with the arches right after the turn past the second checkpoint. The turn after the arches takes you up the stairs onto the road with the statues in the middle of it. ---------------------------- Race 3: Total Laps Challenge ---------------------------- Location: Tokyo - Shibuya Track: Hachi-Kou Mae Initial target: 10 laps Time: 3:00.000 Advice: Another total laps challenge on a very short and simple track. All this track consists of, other than the straightaways, is a bend after the starting line and two sets of two left turns right next to each other. Slow down just a little for the bend and slide around the turns at either end of the track and you'll have no problem. ------------------------------- Race 4: Average Speed Challenge ------------------------------- Location: San Francisco - Pacific Heights Track: The Box Initial target: 65mph Laps: 5 Advice: This track is a big square. There are lots of big jumps for you to get plenty of kudos here. The checkpoints and the starting line are in places where you should have a decent amount of speed. Even the second checkpoint, which is right after a turn. The turns on this track are so wide that you can go through them without slowing down all that much. At the end of the street with the second checkpoint you will have to turn onto the street with the planters in it. --------------------------- Race 5: Top Speed Challenge --------------------------- Location: San Francisco - Financial District Track: The Embarcadero Initial target: 105mph Time: 1:30.000 Advice: Another simple track, just like the last two. Just like in the last two speed challenges all the way back in level 5, you should see how fast your car can go on this track, and then quit the race and adjust the target speed to match what your car can do. There are speed gates right before both turns to get you some extra kudos. Since this track is only two starightaways and two big turns, the fog here won't be a problem. ----------------- Race 6: Timed Run ----------------- Location: New York - Times Square Track: West 40s Initial target: 4 minutes 10 seconds Laps: 4 Advice: Don't adjust the target time for this race, you should have plenty of extra time. By plenty I mean a whole 10 or so seconds. As you could have guessed, it's raining. This track is made up of of many straightaways on wide roads with only 90-degree turns. There is one narrow road right after the second checkpoint, but that's it. ----------------------- Race 7: Style Challenge ----------------------- Location: London - St. James' Park Track: Buckingham Gate Initial target: 750 Kudos Laps: 2 Advice: There aren't very many gates on this track, so expect to force lots of slides. After the first four gates force a slide to get to the next one. You should be able to barely make it from that one to the next two. Force a slide to make it to the speed gate up ahead. Slide around all of the turns here and pass the checkpoint. The turns are close enough together for you to not have to force a slide. Go through the gate and slide around the turns. Force slide your way down this street, through the few gates here. At the end, slide your way into the park and through the speed gate. There is one more gate between here and the next checkpoint, so if you want to continue your combo you'll be doing lots of forced sliding. Once you pass the checkpoint, pass the two gates and slide around the corner. Now you get to force slide even more. The next gate is at the end of the two lines of cones on either side of one of the monuments. Force slide your way to the next turn and then go to the right of the cones to pass the next three gates. Force slide your way to the turn, slide around it and then pass the last gate before the starting line. You're going to have to force slide again to get from the starting line to the first gates. -------------------------- Race 8: Overtake Challenge -------------------------- Location: Tokyo - Asakusa Track: Sensoji Initial target: 14 cars Time: 3:30.000 Advice: Don't let the 14 car target scare you. You have enough time to pass them all. It's raining during this race and three of the four streets on this track are the narrow streets around the temple. As you go along in the race the cars will start to bunch up and will be close together on the track instead of staying spread out like how they were when you started. ------------------- Race 9: Street Race ------------------- Location: Tokyo - Shinjuku Track: Tochou Dori Loop II Initial target: 3rd Laps: 5 Advice: This street race isn't as hard as the past few. You could set the target for first place if you want to, or play it safe by staying with second. This is another easy race through Shinjuku. Wide roads and easy turns. You start on the road that's divided in the middle, but the right side is closed off. Right before the first checkpoint is the only turn on this track that is the least bit difficult, because you don't have as much room to turn as on the other turns. ------------------- Race 10: One On One ------------------- Location: London - Westminster Track: Milbank Initial target: -5 seconds Laps: 4 Advice: Another track with a simplistic design. A couple of straightaways, two big turns and two smaller turns. Just slide around the bigger turns and go around the smaller turns like any turn. The 5 second default headstart should be enough to keep you ahead for the entire race. ******************************************** 8.10 - Level 10: Endurance Season ******************************************** Races: 8 (Hot lap - single x4, street race x4) NOTE: There are different medal requirements for the hot lap races and street races in this level Medal Requirements (Hot lap): Gold - 1600 Kudos; Silver - 1300 Kudos; Bronze - 1000 Kudos Medal Requirements (Street race): Gold - 8000 Kudos; Silver - 5000 Kudos; Bronze - 2000 Kudos They don't call this the endurance season for nothing. All four street races (One on each city) in this level are 15 laps long. Although, they are much easier than the street races in the last two levels, you can set the target to first place for all of these without having to worry about a car passing you right before the race ends, or not being able to get in first in the first place. You should reach 150,000 kudos some time around this level and unlock the Carrera GT. That car will become very useful and once you have it, you should start using it for most races. ------------------------ Race 1: Hot Lap - Single ------------------------ Location: San Francisco - Fishermans Wharf Track: The Waterfront Initial target: 1 minute Laps: 3 Advice: A simplistic track, just like many of the ones in the last level. All of the turns are easy and all of the roads are nice and straight, but one. The sharp turn is the one after the first checkpoint, by now you should know how to slide around it easily because of all the space around it. The road that isn't straight is the one after the sharp turn next to a parking lot and near the water. You've been through it many times by now and know that isn't any real threat. ------------------- Race 2: Street Race ------------------- Location: San Francisco - Financial District Track: Cable Car Initial target: 3rd place Laps: 15 Advice: Your first 15 lap street race. This race takes place on an easy, albeit long, track through the Financial District. There are no bad turns or narrow roads for you to worry about screwing up on, causing you to lose. It's easy to get into first and get very far ahead of the other cars by the end of the race, when I finished this race I was about 15 seconds ahead of the second place car. ------------------------ Race 3: Hot Lap - Single ------------------------ Location: London - Westminster Track: Westminster Challenge Initial target: 1 minute 10 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: It's foggy and raining here, but that won't prevent you from seeing that this track is easy as well. Slide around the loop after the first straightway and slide through all of the turns after the first checkpoint. Around the second checkpoint there are a few more turns that are usual for this area, but you can still slide through them all with ease, like with all of the other turns on this track. ------------------- Race 4: Street Race ------------------- Location: London - St. James' Park Track: The Mall East Initial target: 3rd place Laps: 15 Advice: This street race is easy, just like the last one. Although, on this one you have to actually worry about some things on the track like the statue in front of the starting line and the place where the road gets very narrow for a moment right after the first turn. There's also the statue at the end of that road with the stairs by it. Right before the turn onto the street with the starting line, the road gets narrow briefly again and there is a statue right after the turn. ------------------------ Race 5: Hot Lap - Single ------------------------ Location: Tokyo - Asakusa Track: Koen Minami Initial target: 1 minute 15 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: Fog. And a few alleys. Right after the start you have to go up the alley leading to the temple, all the way to the temple. After you leave the temple and pass the checkpoint, you turn right onto a normally sized road. From that road you go left through the only alleys on this track. ------------------- Race 6: Street Race ------------------- Location: Tokyo - Shinjuku Track: Tochou Kita-Dori Higashi Initial target: 3rd place Laps: 15 Advice: Shinjuku again... You should know what that means, an easy track. Except that this track houses the one turn that can be considered difficult in all of Shinjuku. It's located after the first easy right and past the busses on the left. It's a quick left then right, but you can cut through it. Your opponents in this race will be just as easy as they were in the last two street races. ------------------------ Race 7: Hot Lap - Single ------------------------ Location: New York - Times Square Track: Bryant Park Initial target: 1 minute 48 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: Just by looking at it you can tell that this track won't be as easy as many of the last ones. But, just because it isn't as easy as the last ones doesn't make it hard. After the third turn you have to go up along one of the narrow roads along side Grand Central Station and make the turns along it. The road that the second checkpoint is on is that narrow road that goes under a building. ------------------- Race 8: Street Race ------------------- Location: New York - Wall Street Track: FDR Drive Loop Initial target: 3rd place Laps: 15 Advice: This race is much harder than the past three street races. Use the Carrera GT for it. If you don't have the Carrera GT, now is the time to unlock it. The track is simple in design with only three real turns on it. The first one can be quite a problem. Learn when you should start to brake for it, using the buildings on the left to help since there are no markings on the street you can use. It's better to slow down a bit too early than to end up going to fast and hitting the wall, so slow down earlier than you think you have to until you get the hang of the turn. Before the third turn there is a divider in the middle of the road. Obviously, you should avoid it. It's also easy to go too fast for the third turn, although not as easy as the first one. Going too fast on this turn and hitting the wall can give the other cars a chance to pass you up and get far ahead of you. You might want to try practicing the turns a couple of times until you got the timing down for them. ******************************************** 8.11 - Level 11: World Class Season ******************************************** Races: 10 (Hot lap - single, timed run, top speed challenge, total laps challenge, overtake challenge, style challenge, street race x3, one on one) Medal Requirements: Gold - 2000 Kudos; Silver - 1500 Kudos; Bronze - 1000 Kudos You should defiantly have the Carrera GT by now. If you don't, work on getting the kudos to unlock it. With it this whole season will be no problem. ------------------------ Race 1: Hot Lap - Single ------------------------ Location: London - Westminster Track: The Embankment Challenge Initial target: 1 minute 30 seconds Laps: 3 Advice: Yet another simple track. You can easily slide through the series of turns at each end of the track like you've done quite a few times by now and slide through the turns going on/off the bridge when you pass to the left of the starting line. The turns before and after the starting line are a bit tight, but can still be slid through. ----------------- Race 2: Timed Run ----------------- Location: London - St. James' Park Track: The Treasury Initial target: 4 minutes 50 seconds Laps: 4 Advice: You get way more than enough time for this race. About thirty seconds more than you should need, if you want more kudos drop the target time by 20 or 25 seconds. As usual, it's raining. The second turn takes you onto the road that has a spot where it gets very narrow right after the turn and ends with the stairs with a statue at the top. After the second checkpoint, you have to go around part of the loop here, with the rain you can slide through it even easier than before. --------------------------- Race 3: Top Speed Challenge --------------------------- Location: New York - Wall Street Track: Water & FDR Initial target: 105mph Time: 1:30.000 Advice: Again, if you want to get as many kudos as possible take a practice run to see how fast your car can go so you can adjust the target to meet that. The track this takes place on is very different from the ones the other top speed challenges took place on. You can only get a lot of speed on the straightaway that you start on, the other one has a very dangerous S-bend in it that you will have to slow down for. Instead of there being one big turn or two smaller ones at each end of the track, the first one is made up of three turns of varying sizes and the second one is made up of two smaller ones, but they are much further apart than the ones in the other tracks. There are also speed gates on this track before each series of turns.
