00. About Me
\==========/
Hello! As you might now know, my name is Eduardo but many people know me
better as White Wolf. I am 18 years old and have been playing games since I was
about 8 years old. So I know many things about the gaming industry and I am not
a rookie. Anyway this will be the first Walkthrough that I do by my self, I have
done some with friends but never by my own. So if you find errors please don’t
eat me up, I am only human. But if they are important let me know.

I will be accepting contributions by anyone that would like to add to
the Walkthrough, and will be credited fully. Just send your contribution to
whitewolf_gunner@hotmail.com please as a subject put "OUTLAW GOLF 2
Contribution" or else your email could be deleted, thinking it is Spam. Also
this has happened on other Walkthrough's... If for some reason your name is
not in the credits or by the side of your contribution and someone else name
is, it's because someone else beat you to the contribution. Since this does
not happened frequently (But it does) I will give credit to the first 2
persons who submit their contribution.
THANK YOU!

01. Intro
\=======/
Well what is this game all about? Is it any good? First of all this is the
sequel of Outlaw Golf 1. It has the original 3 courses from the first and now
with new holes. Plus 5 new courses, including the new course Psycho Sands,
which is basically like an oversized miniature golf course. This game is
mostly for non-golf fans. Because it is not as serious as the other golf
tittles. It is not supposed to be a simulation game, although it haves a very
impressive physics engine. As you might of notice because of the big "M" on the
box the title is geared toward an adult audience. So you will not want to play
this around lets say your boss who is a huge golf fan, but it would be good with
your friends. The point is just because the game has adult humor it does not
mean it’s not a good golf game. Try it out and then if you like it fine if you
don’t fine as well. Continuing... There are 10 different characters to choose
from, 4 are ready to pick in the beginning and the rest you have to unlock.
On your way to greatness you will have to beat your opponents as well as your
Caddies. So put on your Platinum brass knuckles and get ready to kick some ass!

03. Basic Stuff
\=============/
The Basics... while playing, your goal is to put the ball in the hole
with the least strokes possible. Well you will have to know how to hit the ball
and where to hit it to actually accomplish that. So that's why you need to know
and master the basics, so here we go...
/===================\
03.a Hitting The Ball
\===================/
First of you have the yellow marker showing you where the ball will be
hit toward. But you don’t just want to hit the ball you want to know where its
going so for a better view hit the (B) Button. You will see a close up of where
the ball will be hitting. If the line turns red at any time it means that there
is something obstructing the path of the ball, in other words if you send it
flying it will be hit by something and say good-bye to your good score. So once
you are ready to shoot the ball hit the (A)button and you will then see a bar on
your bottom right side of the screen. To actually let the ball fly, you will
have to either pull the right or left thumbstick (which ever you are most
comfortable with), and then when you have reach the power you want push the
thumbstick forward. It must be very straight or else you will hook the ball,
meaning it will go right or left and that is not a pretty sight, especially in
holes surrounded by water. Plus you have a "Ghost Ball" preview, you receive one
preview per hole. What a Ghost Ball does is it will show you a preview of where
the ball would land with the current power and spin. REMEMBER YOU ONLY GET 1 per
hole so use it wisely. And one more thing if your ball lands close enough to the
hole after hitting it or putting it, you will see an (X) appear on the bottom of
the screen with the word "Gimme" next to it, if you see this just press the (X)
button so you can get over with the hole. While using the Gimme remember that
you still pay with a stroke, the only good thing is you will not have to hit the
ball again. And like QuirkyOne (Contributor) said... "It lets you avoid the
chance of embarrassing yourself by missing such an easy putt!"
/============\
03.b Ball Spin
\============/
Ball spin is the affect a ball gets after hitting it on a certain place.
But before I explain what it does, I have to tell you how to do it. Before
hitting the ball, you will se a ball with a yellow dot on the bottom left corner
of your screen. If you don’t see it just click on your right thumbstick (You
cannot do this while putting). You can move the dot around with your right
thumbstick. Now here is what it does. If you place the yellow marker on the top,
the ball will spin forward, so when it hits the ground it will hit, jump and
then continue forward for a little bit. If you place the marker on the bottom of
the ball you will give it back spin, so it will hit the ground jump a little and
then go backwards or just stay there depending on the ground it hits and how
slanted the hill is. Remember the harder you hit the ball the more spin you will
get, so if you want a lot of spin hit it at about 100% or more. Now if you place
the marker on the right, the ball will curb to the left, if you put it on the
left it will curb to the right, this is used if you have a tree or something
else directly in front of you, so to not hit it you must go around it . Also
a contributor (QurikyOne) noticed that the faster you swing the club, the better
ball spin you get. In other words after pulling the thumbstick and deciding how
much power you want, you must then push the thumbstick STRAIGHT and with some
good speed, so don’t just concentrate on how straight you swing also concentrate
on how fast you do it.
/==========\
03.c Putting
\==========/
Putting is a little easier then actually landing a ball. Here you will
be on the green and now have to measure the distance of the hole. First of you
have the marker on the ground, you can also bring up the grid by pushing the
WHITE Button. On the grid you will see red and blue, red indicates that the
section is going uphill and blue means its going downhill. Calculate as much as
you can before you do anything else. Once you are a little sure your ball haves
a good chance of making it close to the hole press the (X) Button once. You
will then see a marker telling you how the ball will travel and how far it
will travel at the current power. If you need more power move the marker forward
if you want less power move it downward, if you need the ball to move a little
more to the right or left move the marker to the right or to the left. Kind
of self explanatory anyway you have 3 previews on each hit, so use them wisely
for good scores.
/============\
03.d Composure
\============/
Composure is a measurement of how focused your character is. If you
are doing really well its most likely because your character is focused and
attentive to everything around him. If you land on the thick grass or
sand your composure will go down, if land on the green or fairway most of the
time your composure will go up. If you land on the water, out of bounds, or at
an un-hittable place your composure will go way down, so be careful. But
hitting things and landing on the grass is not always a bad thing especially
if there are spectators around there. If you manage to hit a spectator with
a ball your composure will go to the maximum so keep an eye open for any
unlucky spectators.
/===========\
03.e Beatings
\===========/
Now if you are doing horribly bad there is a quick way to get out of the
gutter. If you have a token (you can see if you have one on the top left corner,
by clicking on the left thumbstick) you can go to Beating mode, here you will
bash your caddy to get your frustration out. First push the (Y) Button and then
choose Beating. You will enter Beating mode, press the (A) Button when ever you
are ready. After this you need to hit the Icon of your caddy’s face with the
sliding fist that moves back and forth. Each time you hit the Icon the fist will
go the other way and the icon will move in closer. So you will need to react
faster after each hit. If you manage to hit the icon 5 times (or depending on
your current composure), you will be rewarded by been "In The Zone". When
you are "In The Zone" you will be completely focused, hit the ball
farther, and will play much better. Hands down this is one of the coolest
features on Outlaw Golf 2. Just look at the suckers go! lol.
/=================\
03.f Cart Challenge
\=================/
Now for the cart challenge, First off you need a token. Then while
playing and before hitting the ball, press (Y) Button and then a new screen will
come up. You now have to pick the option that says "Cart Challenge". Why
bother with "Cart Challenges"? Well the benefit of a Cart Challenge is that when
you successfully finish the challenge you will have the "Flaming Perfect Shot",
your shot will go wherever you aim, it does not matter how hard or how straight
you make your shot. I don’t usually use this feature but some people really like
it.
/======\
04. Tips
\======/
*There is a wind indicator on your top right corner of the screen,
always check this and hit accordingly to the speed and direction.
*Your back spin works very good wile winds are going down-ward, and on
greens that have slants going down. If you hit it well your ball will
not jump much and will stay where it lands.
*If you want to avoid a tree that is directly in front of where the ball
will be traveling toward, put some spin to the left or to the right. It
will hook around the obstacle and avoid it.
*When making your first hit (drive), make sure you give it extra power
so then your ball will be in front of your opponent and your opponent
will hit it on the next turn, this gives you an advantage because you
see how the ball reacts to the wind and other elements. Then when its
your turn you know what to expect.
*You can always skip your opponent’s hit (CPU opponents only), just hit
the (X) button, after they have hit the ball.
*Don’t wait till you are "In the gutter" when it comes to your
composure, just beat up your caddy if you think it can get worse.
Because the better composure you have the farthest you can hit. And
this is very good when it comes to very big courses.
*When ever you unlock an "Outlaw Range" challenge try to pass it as soon
as possible. Then your character will have higher attributes and will
be more skillful.
*Don’t forget to use your "Ghost Ball" on each hole. This can help you
exceptionally it can be the difference between a Birdie and a Par.
*If you are close enough to the hole you will see an (X) appear on the
bottom of the screen with the word "Gimme" next to it, this means you
are close enough to the hole and can take a "Gimme", you will not have
to putt it any more. Use this when ever you get a chance, don’t ignore
it.
*When you are on the green and ready to putt make sure to use the grid,
just press the WHITE button and it will come up. Use all the tools you
have.
*When you are on the green, always use your 3 path previews. And always
look at the hole as close as possible after using one, just press (B) 2
times and you will get the best close up. Because sometimes the ball
looks like it will go in on the hole from far away, but at times it
will actually jump out, you can notice this if you see it close
enough.
*On Bingo Bango game play mode. Its good to get the point for landing on
the green first. Because most of the times the cpu will always get the
point for "shortest distance from the pin".
/============\
05. Game Modes
\============/
There are so many game modes on Outlaw Golf 2 that your head will spin
There are 3 Main Game Modes which you can choose from. And then there are 13
Playing Game Modes (Types Of Games). So for sure you wont get bored with this
game any time soon.
/====================\
05.a 3 MAIN GAME MODES
\====================/
*Tour Mode-------Here you pick your character and play in 7 events
for each. Along your way you will Unlock
Characters, Courses, Clubs, Outfits, and Range
events.This most likely is the place where you will
spend most of your time. You do want to unlock
everything don’t you?
*Exhibition Mode-Here you can quickly get into a game of golf, you
have 13 different game modes to choose from. You
choose between 1-4 players (cpu or human), and
assign teams (depends what mode you choose).
*Outlaw Range----Here you can complete many challenges from driving
your Golf Cart to hitting Cows. Once a challenge is
complete you can raise up your characters
attributes. Which are Control, Distance, Accuracy,
Composure, Putting, and Fighting. Also there will
be some challenges which would look impossible,
that’s because on some you will need better
equipment, so come back when you have it.
/========================\
05.b 13 PLAYING GAME MODES
\========================/
*Stroke Play-----Here your strokes are counted after each hole and
in the end of all holes the player with the least
strokes wins. (1-4 Players)
*Match Play------Here at the end of all holes the player with most
holes won wins the game. (2 Players)
*Skins-----------Money is awarded for each hole won, not all holes
are the same prize money. If you tie a hole or more
than one hole, the person who wins the next hole
wins all the money of the past tied holes. The
person with the most money of the end of all holes
wins. (2-4 Players)
*Best Ball-------You play with a teammate, then after a hole is
completed the teammate with the least strokes puts
up his score. After all holes are completed the
team with the least strokes wins. (4 Players/2
Teams/Stroke Play)
*Scramble--------You play with a teammate, after each hit/stroke,
the teammates pick the best ball and both
teammates hit from there. The team with least
strokes after all holes wins. (4 Players/2 Teams/
Stroke Play)
*My 1 And Only---Play the entire course with only one club and your
putter. The person with least strokes on the end of
all holes wins. (1-4 Players/Stroke Play)
*Casino----------Each shot taken by you and your opponent is worth
$1, in the end who ever wins the hole takes the
jackpot. The player with most money after all holes
wins. (2-4 Players)
*Time Attack-----This one is just speed, strokes don’t matter so
just finish already. You must finish before the
time limit (tour mode). (1-4 Players)
*Bingo Bango-----Each hole is distributed with 3 points, 1 for who
ever gets to the green first, 1 for who ever is
closer to the pin while in the green, and 1 for who
ever wins the hole. If there is a tie, both players
get 1 point. Who ever haves more points after all
holes wins. (2-4 Players)
*Vegas-----------You play with a teammate, in the end of a hole the
2 teammates with the lower score combine their
strokes and multiply it by 10, then add the higher
score. The team with most money after all holes
win. (4 Players/2 Teams)
*High Low--------A point is awarded to the highest ball in each
pair. Pairs are made by comparing the highest ball
of each team, and then the next highest.
(4 Players/2 Teams/Match Play)
*Pick Up Sticks--After each hole a player wins, they get to pick a
club from their opponent. For a player to get
their club back they must win the next hole. The
player with most holes won after all holes wins.
(2-4 Player/Match Play)
*Baseball Golf---This is one of my favorites. Each par is a single,
a birdie is a double, and an eagle or an ace (hole
in one) is a home run. A bogey is 1 out, a double
bogey is 2 outs and worst then that is a triple
play. You get to carry your "Runners" from hole to
hole and who ever scores more runs after all holes
wins. (2-4 Players)
/=========\
06. Courses
\=========/
There are a total of 8 different courses in Outlaw Golf 2, All of them
have 18 different holes. So if you do the math there are 144 holes in total.
WOW thats a lot of playing to do. So get going...
/==================\
06.a Turnpike Valley
\==================/
Located on the heart of New Jerseys industrial wasteland, Turnpike
Valley is the king of stink. Hold your nose and sink some holes.
What to expect:
This is a pretty basic and easy course just make sure to measure your
shots and make sure you don’t over hit the ball when going toward places
that have freeways going. Because if you do your shot will ricochet back
to you and there is a chance it may affect your score. Over all its a
pretty easy course.
/==============\
06.b Crusty Leaf
\==============/
YEEEEEHAAW! The South has risen again in the form of 18 holes of golf
greatness
What To Expect:
This one is an easy and basic course, the only problem here is that it
haves a lot of trees that usually block your shots. So be careful.
/============\
06.c El Diablo
\============/
Located on top of a secret nuclear testing site, El Diablo Canyon is the
best course you'll ever have to deny playing on.
What To Expect:
This place is like a desert but with some green, its mainly dry and on
this one if you land outside the green places you can still play the
ball. There are a couple of rocks that sometimes block your shots so
either go around them or if you can go threw them with a Punch/Pitch
hit.
/================\
06.d Glacier Ridge
\================/
Iced down greens and frosty snow caps make this arctic course crazy!
What To Expect:
The course haves a lot of snow, a lot of tilted holes and plenty of
frozen glaciers over head. So be careful with the glaciers and
the slopes.
/================\
06.e Spooky Hollow
\================/
Known for its haunting terrain, this graveyard turned golf course will
leave your handicap dead and buried.
What to Expect:
This course is very dark, its not very hard, if you know how to spin the
ball and where to spin it toward. So use your spinning techniques here
to be successful.
/==============\
06.f Aztec Acres
\==============/
This is the jewel of South America golf courses. Love it for its beauty.
Fear it for its bad weather and human sacrifice.
What To Expect:
Most of the holes are on top of cliffs, so don’t over power your
shots or you might as well take sky diving classes. Nahh but
seriously be careful and precise, with all your shots.
/==================\
06.g Mosquito Greens
\==================/
Topping the list of "Best places to get West Nile Virus" this mosquito
ridden swamp is great, if you can stop scratching long enough to play.
What To Expect:
There is a lot of water around each hole, if you don’t swing straight
there is a huge chance you will end up on the water. So before coming
here you better be good at swinging.
/===============\
06.h Psycho Sands
\===============/
Never before has a variety of whacked out golf holes been brought
together in one place. Imagine a freakish mini-golf course on steroids
and you may start getting the idea.
What To Expect:
Here expect the un-expected because the holes are all different from
each other. They are basically over grown mini golf courses.
/================\
07. Characters FAQ
\================/
This is a game that is not linear, in the way that two games will never
be the same. Why? Because If you notice the hole always changes place, one time
it will be in the middle, other times in the left other times about 2 or 3
steps to the right and so forth, you get my point. One more thing is the wind,
some times it's moving north others east, north-west, south-east, and lots of
other combinations, and the last thing the winds speed. It will change and
sometimes even while playing. So that’s why I cannot make a Step by step
Walkthrough, it would be impossible. So that’s why instead of me telling you
how to pass a certain hole. I will give you tips on the course, challenge, or
if its important a specific hole. So always read the tips before starting a
tour event, you might find some good stuff. Besides tips I have listed a short
description of your character, who you are going up against each event, what
type of game is it going to be, what course you are going to play in, and what
you will receive after beating the event. So enjoy...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: When I give you a description of the event I will usually say how
many holes and how the holes will be played. For example if I
say Front 9 holes I mean the first 9 holes. And at times I will
also say Reverse Front 9 which basically is First 9 holes but
will be played backward. Starting with the 9th hole and ending
with the 1st. And finaly at times it can get more complicated
like Reverse Back 9 which are holes 10 to 18 but will be played
backward. Hopefully you will get the hang of it fast.
