Jinn received her orders from Corath and set about to fulfill
them. She was set to slay Dagan of the Clan Dolok, a man who might be
the hero of prophecy that lived in the Lost Fortress of Skurlok. She
found him, kneeling before the tombstone of his recently buried wife in
prayer. Jinn couldn't help herself and projected the image of his wife
burning in the hell fires of Naraka... Dagan's eyes were wide and he
exclaimed, "NOOO!!! IT CANNOT BE!" Jinn peered over the tombstone
down at Dagan and said, "Yes, it can be..." She attacked!

2C. DEFYING MASTER

Jinn was no lackey to do stupid errands for Corath! She may be
summoned, but Corath was not familiar with the precise orders required
to control a demon... She would get around to his orders when she felt
like it... She went instead to the Underground Sewers to hunt for sport
the walking dead man known as Stitch... She saw him and approached the
cowering atrocity... She said there was nothing to fear but death
itself... As she neared the man, she attacked!

3A. FATED ASSASSINS

Corath told Jinn of the assassin Phade and how she'd failed to
kill a warrior named Dagan he'd employed her for. Jinn knew Phade; the
assassin had sent many souls to Naraka in her exploits. Deep into the
Spider's Lair descended Jinn, carefully and silently as a cat hunting
its prey. She found Phade reading an alchemist's manual when she
stepped into view. Jinn told Phade that she'd killed so many and that
although she thought it was just, Naraka had different ideas... She said
that it was time to die and suffer eternally.

Ordered to direct Phade to assassinate Princess Keela, Jinn found
her within her home deep within the Spider's Lair. Phade refused to
believe Corath sent a demon to give her orders, but Phade told her she
would obey or die... and they fought!

The last of the greenlings, Eyara, live deep in the Venomous
Swamp. Jinn had heard Eyara fancied herself the guardian of nature...
When she found the woman, Jinn asked her what the qualifications were
to be nature's guardian? She mused that nature should have chosen
someone stronger... for she was nature's destroyer... and she was quite
confident the guardian would die shortly... Eyara demanded Jinn leave
her sanctuary and abandon her vile tasks within Barbaria, but Jinn
answered with assault!

4A. GOOD MEN LOSE

Corath had told Jinn of a warrior in the glacial lands of Skurlok
that he wished slain. She found him whetstone in hand sharpening a
huge axe. The warrior beheld the demon and rose, telling her he was
Dagan of the Clan Dolok. Jinn was quick to reply that she was Jinn of
the Infernal Hells of Naraka... She laughed and said that Dagan declared
his name and clan as if it made him better than the simpleton he was.
She proclaimed titles were for men of low esteem that clung to group
identity, for they were nothing themselves. She hisses that Dagan
would soon find his true calling however, being food for the worms.
She attacked!

Although Jinn saw no need in employing Stitch, the undead, Corath
told her to do so. She approached Stitch in the den within the
Underground Sewers. He was afraid and asked too many questions for
Jinn's patience... She told him she'd heard enough prattle and assaulted
him!

Jinn traveled to Dagan in the Lost Fortress of Skurlok, appearing
to him as his dead wife... Her illusion worked well, for Dagan wanted to
believe his wife had returned... They embraced each other and after he
was convinced it was really a doppelganger that had assumed his wife's
form that laid buried outside, Jinn resumed her normal form. Dagan was
horrified... He was so easily fooled into abandoning his real wife for
this demon... Jinn laughed and said play time was over... It was time to
die!

Corath informed Jinn that he was promised service by an undead
known as Stitch, but the man was seen with his enemy Princess Keela.
Corath ordered Jinn traveled to his lair within the Underground Sewers,
where the air stank of the stench of refuse and decay. Jinn's skin
burned bright with infernal fir, trying to keep her warm in what she
considered the frigid world of Barbaria. She found Stitch and told him
that at least he chose a home befitting who he was; He was human
refuse himself and lived amongst the throw away trash of the world...
She waited for no reply and jumped to attack!

As a summoned demon, jinn hated her role. Having to serve lesser
beings of Barbaria frustrated her. Corath wanted her to kill Magnus
because he'd failed to slay both Dagan and the prisoner, 21, in
Akrowla. She thought at least killing Magnus might be fun... She found
the undead lord within Shipwreck Waters and approached him with a
smile... She asked if he'd been bad? Before Magnus answered, she told
him he had not been bad enough because he did not slay either 21 or
Dagan... She asked him what was done to little boys who didn't finish
their assignments? With a grin, the demon told him they are killed
and sent to burn in hell forever, of course...

Keela kneeled in the Forgotten Ruins, examining the soil and
footprints. She was hunting someone or something... Her nose flared...
she commanded the demon show herself... Jinn emerged from hiding and
asked if her sulfuric perfume was too strong? She feigned being
bashful and told Keela she forgot to bathe today... Princess Keela told
Jinn her humor was wasted, for she would this day be sent back to
whence she came!

6A. INNOCENCE LOST

Jinn pranced through the forest, marveling at the world she was in
once more,,, It had been years, maybe decades, since she had been
summoned to the mortal world. She liked it, though it was very cold.
She heard rustling in the bushes near the Forgotten Ruins. She
investigated and found a monkey who was clearly with the body of the
ape. Jinn's demon eyes saw through illusion immediately and could tell
shape shifted beings on sight... She sensed the ancient relic Bloodsong
was within the ape, melded with his heart. Corath needed the relics of
song, and opportunity was at hand... Jinn through a fiery stream at the
ape from her hand and they joined battle!

6B. KILLING ORPHANS

Magnus had failed to kill 21 within the Prisons of Akrowla, as
Corath had asked. Enjoying murder and violence, Jinn would do the job
the way it was planned... She found 21 and thought his simple mind would
be moved by a singing taunt, so she sang of orphan boys who lost their
parents who never loved them... 21 was hurt, for he never knew his
parents... at least that he could remember... The demon knew the hulking
man's heart was childlike and was easily wounded and she liked to see
him anguish. He yelled at Jinn to leave, and she said that she would
leave... after she killed him. She attacked!

Jinn was searching for the most likely place the arch mage Zaugg
would place a Pillar of Corruption next, sensing the weakest point
between Naraka and Barbaria... As she searched within the Lower
Darklands, she saw an image of herself... Although this Jinn was
different... It attacked!

7A. LOST HAND

Jinn was not far from the Prisons of Akrowla, home to an inmate
known only by his cell number, 21. Akrowla housed many inmates from
minor to serious crimes, but 21 knew nothing of his crime and lamented
that he didn't even have a name. He'd seen so many come and go within
the jail, some were tortured and others withered and died of disease or
age. He just wondered what would become of him. Jinn went to 21 and
told him that inaction was an action... and he did nothing when he saw
unlawful and evil inflicted on his fellow prisoners... She explained
that he should have at least called for other deputies when guards
abused their authority and hurt people. Jinn hissed that it was now
his time to suffer for his choice of inaction... Jinn attacked!

Jinn was directed to terminate Princess Keela, whom she tracked to
the Lost Fortress of Skurlok. Keela shed a tear as she buried the
remains of Dagan next to his wife, and she proclaimed that his killer
would go to Naraka for this evil... Jinn stepped into view and said it
was very likely his killer would, indeed, go to Naraka... for that was
her home! Jinn's sinister eyes slanted with malicious intent and she
charged!

Jinn decided that Phade might know who summoned the demon that
fought her in the Lower Darklands, but she found Phade was being held
captive within the Prisons of Akrowla. Although a few guards had to
die getting to Phade's cell, Jinn found her. Phade looked surprised
and told the demon to leave... She explained she was safe here, being
protected from Corath by Argosian guards. Jinn smiled and told Phade
that those guards were now dead... and that she would soon join their
fate!

8A. ROYAL FUNERAL

The visiting seer was performing a seance for Princess Keela,
trying to reach her slain father. The table shook and a twisted voice
echoed throughout the room, telling of fire and pain... eternal
suffering... all hope abandoned... the city of the tormented... the
gates...
oh the Eternal Gates! Keela looked up toward the heaven and said her
father could not be in hell, and screamed, "NOOO!!!!!" Jinn appeared
in a flash above the table. She leaned down and looked into the seer's
face. The seer's fear was evident and she cautioned that she should
not dally between the realm of the dead and the living. Jinn's lips
curled back as she hissed at the seer who fainted, slumping down in her
chair. Keela fled to the courtyard to retrieve her sword and shield.
Jinn chased her and they fought!

does with a mouse... She thought perhaps the people of Argos seeing
their dead Princess Keela sitting on the throne in Shorestone Castle
would be amusing... So she carried the woman's corpse all the way there...
She had placed Keela on the throne, nailing her to it so she would not
slump... She said aloud that Keela should try to maintain her posture...
A ghastly warrior broke into the throne room and called out that he was
Dagan of the Clan Dolok... and he came back from the dead to avenge the
murder of Princess Keela... Jinn laughed and said she'd killed once, she
could do it again... They fought!

Shipwreck Waters. Jinn came to him and told him that she was here to
end his control of the dead... She told Magnus that he denied Naraka his
soul too long, but now he did not have Bloodsong to help him... She
explained that he had a debt and she was there to collect... Magnus rose
and told Jinn to stop her childish prattle. They joined battle!

Jinn closed her eyes for just a moment, but when she opened them,
she saw that she was transported to the Training Grounds of Barbaria.
Before her stood three projections - Keela, Dagan, and Mongo! She
sensed powerful magic saturated the fabric of Barbaria and it was
corrupting reality... Jinn knew it must be the result of the Pillars of
Corruption she knew Corath and his master Zaugg had created. The
projections attacked!

on itself like rapid... rising from the steaming water was the demon
Jinn... She told Magnus that the relic stone Bloodsong was not there to
save him as it had done in the past, for he lost it in his battle
against the King of Argos. She said he could avoid his rightful death
no longer... Jinn told him she had come for him!

Corath told jinn to find the relic Bloodsong, and although she
disliked following his orders she could not deny this one... It walked
right up to her. With her Narakan true sight, she saw Bloodsong merged
within the heart of an ape that approached her curiously when she was
in the Forgotten Ruins. She called to the ape, ordering him to come to
her. It was scared, and watched her from a distance. Jinn yelled at
him, telling him that if he would not come to her then she would come
to him. She charged and struck at him.

jinn remembered the Spider's Lair so long ago when it was still
occupied by huge spiders and disease vermin. She thought oddly
appropriate that both the thieves' and assassins' guilds made it their
home. Jinn thought to collect poisons from the infamous assassin
Phade's Lair within, so she might poison the well within Shorestone
Castle and watch so many people die from the toxin. Jinn was surprised
to find two hulking gruff men there, guarding Phade's supplies... She
beset them with a frenzied assault!

Corath was pleased as he finally cast his mana siphon spell,
drawing the power from the Pillar of Corruption that now appeared
within the Land of Desolation. He was preparing to cast the Spell of
Divinity when Jinn approached him. He told the demon that he was busy,
but Jinn did not seem to care. She recognized Corath's life was
intertwined with the Pillar's force... and although her summons bond
forbade her from killing him, she could destroy the Pillar... even if its
destruction meant Corath's death... Jinn loved the loop-holes in divine
law... She set to destroy the pillar!

11. FINALE

The demon Jinn stepped into the red portal, wondering how it was
she had not been returned to Naraka after her summoner perished. She
found herself standing atop a fortress, far away in the Dead Sea.
Before her stood the mighty stone golem body that housed the spirit and
mind of the arch mage Zaugg... He spoke... Jinn, you have proven most
amazing... in such a short time, you have mastered the mortal world,
slain so many would-be heroes, and even ended your summoner's life.
The Pillar of Corruption I created disrupts the mortal world, but also
Naraka to seep into the land of mortality, which is why your return was
not forced. You are now free, Jinn, for that returning force can
happen but once... and when it came it was corrupted and disbanded... You,
Jinn, are now a mortal demon... ...and, therefore, will die forever as I
kill you... Forget not, demon... I am Zaugg!!!

COMBO RUNE ([]): "DAMAGE BONUS." Phade will swipe with her iron claw
and will cast on herself a green glow that will emit from her. During
this time, Phade's attacks will deal more punishment on her opponents.
Press the R2 Button to release the attack.
THROW RUNE (U): "NO PAIN." Phade will pound her fist into the ground
and a green poison dust cloud will rise in a circular pattern around
her. Not only will opponents be knocked down for a second or two but
when they do rise, they will be stunned for a second or two. Use this
time to get another combo off! Press the R2 Button to release the
attack.
OBJECT RUNE (X): Phade will put her Iron Claw hand straight out and a
stream of poisonous gas will spray in a straight line. Use this attack
to take on one or many attackers by manually controlling the stream.
Opponents can be juggled six or seven times if done correctly! Press
the R2 Button to release the attack.
COUNTER RUNE (/\): Phade will raise her arms into the air and will
open up a portal on the ground that will spew out poisonous gas like a
geyser. This attack will usually juggle opponents a couple of time and
is best used against multiple attackers. Press the R2 Button to
release the attack.

pushed herself hard all her life, striving to be the best at everything
she did. As an assassin, efficient and swift life termination was her
life's quest. She began counting the seconds until she must add the
last catalyst to her brew. The chamber door burst open, disrupting her
delicate operation... Her toxin was ruined... A limping man with his
chest sewn together with loose stitches and wielding two rusty daggers
stood in the doorway menacingly... With a cackling scream, he charged!

Phade traveled with stealth, making sure to cover her tracks as
she went. She waited until dusk to enter the Underground Sewers where
Stitch told her she would find his master, Magnus. Undetected she
lurked in the shadows of the Dungeons of Mire. She observed a
highlander warrior, clad in warm furs suggesting he came from either
Mt. Krag or the Northern Region of Skurlok. He rummaged through things
until he discovered a map folded in a book. As he prepared to leave,
Phade sprung from the darkness as a cat upon her pray.

Slinking from the Underground Sewers, the dark hearted Phade
followed the foothills of Mt. Krag until she passed near the Prisons of
Akrowla. She noted there were no crickets or creatures of the night...
no sound or trace of them. She continued beyond Shorestone Castle and
to the Foreboding Channel. She bought the passage across the channel
to the old city of Rezz, where she rested until nightfall. Cloaked in
darkness, Phade reached the reefed shores of Shipwreck Waters close to
the spectral form of an undead sea captain... She emerged from hiding,
and the man called Magnus wasted no time in joining battle!

3B. STOPPING STITCH

Phade left nothing to chance. She learned long ago that anything
unplanned will go wrong, and led her life meticulously. Her devotion
to her chosen profession gave skill in death and camouflage, and when
anything or anyone tried to act on their own regarding herself, Phade
ended their decision-making ability swiftly and permanently! Following
Dagan's clue, Phade headed east to intercept Stitch before he reached
Corath... Stitch was seen near the Forgotten Ruins said a thieves guild
friend. Phade arrived to find him being beaten to death by a monstrous
ape. Phade sat and watched Stitch's chest ripped open, his left arm
torn off, and finally die a pathetic death. When it was all over, she
attacked the ape herself...
